Panino Rustico in other cities:
The best paninis Ive ever had! A very small restaurant in the middle of a residential area. Definitely a hidden gem. Always busy so if you want to try expect to wait during lunch hours and tons of car traffic outside. Double parked cars everywhere! My favorite the porchetta mozzarella broccoli rabe panini! Yum.
Possibly the best panini Ive ever had, recommended and served by the prettiest girl in Brooklyn. Little Cannoli and an iced Manhattan Special to balance it out? You better believe it, pal.But are they legit Italian? Absolutely. The owner was there making the paninis himself, like a master forger working on a samurai sword in the back.Oh but do they deliver? Yes, my friend... they do.And by the way, theres an ATM machine that works, so next time you need to make a withdraw, do it at Panino Rustico. Its where I plan to do as much of my future banking as possible.I have to eat a sandwich so lets wrap this up... how about you do yourself a favor pal, you deserve it... treat yourself to a delicious affordable meal you wont soon forget at Panino Rustico.Best wishes to this place and the people there! :)
Excellent service, environment and comfort. If you havent been to Italy before this place does Italy justice, for its representation in food, family and quality. Stop in for food, espresso or dessert. Only reason its not 5 for me is that you have to pay in cash, no credit card option.
This place exists since 2011 and they actually do the best paninis in NYC. They use super fresh ingredients as tomato, mozzarella and basil for the classic panini. I also tasted the smoke salmon one, it is a little bit salty because they add feta cheese but you are free to add it or not; otherwise for the generous quantilty and quality of salmon, its worth the price ;) The staff is caring and very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.
These people are a disgrace, thats all I can say. Ordering from them is not something I will ever repeat. They made me wait for an hour and a half and then told me they were waiting for an Uber eats driver and ONLY when I CALLED THEM. Apparently, manners isnt something they include with an order. Never again.
A little neighborhood gem! There are so many panini options, and the ingredients are all fresh, authentic, and unique. The atmosphere feels warm, like a locals gathering kind of spot. Servers are friendly and attentive. Paninis run around $9-12 and are warmed/crisped well. Oh and they do cute little decorations!
Panino Rustico of Bensonhurst was great. This was the first time i was able to sit down and have a meal with my youngest daughter at a restaurant in awhile. The staff was nice and they worked well as a team. Our order was ready in minutes. And very delicious. It was nice to be out again especially here. Pleasant outdoor seating. Nice place and I will go back again.
Cute cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Usually very busy but rarely a wait. The food is always fresh and very tasty. They menu mostly consists of paninis, salads, breakfast crepes, dessert crepes coffees, juices and smoothies. Its nice that they have a kids menu. The servers are pleasant, however since the pandemic there may be a wait to get your food because their delivery business seems to have taken over. The place is well kept and clean. The prices are steep and they only take cash. The serving portions could be larger, especially for the prices they charge, but the food quality and taste keep you coming back. Neighborhood parking can be difficult but public transportation is close by. Good place for a get to know you casual date.
Parking is absolutely terrible here, it takes a half hour to park. You’re better off parking at a meter on 86St or on New Utrecht Ave. owner & staff are very nice, food is good! The parking is very hard and my friends have gotten tickets due to the high volume of Traffic Agents in this Area!
Placed an order. Ordered a salad with shrimp and bacon and tomatoes with cucumbers and walnuts. The estimated delivery said 25-35 min. After 45 minutes, I called the restaurant and the woman who picked up said that my order is on its way. Another 15 min goes by, still no food, I call back and the extremely rude and unprofessional woman proceeds to berate me by telling me that mine isn’t the only order that’s being delivered and that next time I shouldn’t order from so far away. It’s clear that she doesn’t understand how ordering works. Either you accept my order based on distance or you do not. When I asked to speak to someone else, she exclaimed how there’s no one else, as she is the manager. And both my husband and I order from this restaurant at least twice a week. Miss manager doesn’t want our steady business anymore.Don’t waste your money on rude and ungrateful businesses.
Kate here with my wife and mother-in- law sat 7-24 for lunch and ordered steak mozzarella w- peppers& onion (14.99) panini was all to the front and nothing to the back of sandwich a restaurant trick as old as time ; even what was on the front was more peppers and cheese and comes with no side like French Fries just a 79 cent (additional) bag of potato chips worth 25 cents; We live in SI so we know not to bother with Richmond Rd. location. Could have gone to Vinnie’s lunch box for less and got better food!!! Overpriced and not near worth it!!!
Ordered food, expected delivery ~30 minutes. After 45 minutes called the place, the person on the phone said the delivery person already left and will arrive soon. 15 minutes later, no one showed up, I called again, the same lady on the phone told me that I shouldnt order from that far away! Really? I asked to speak to the manager, but she claimed shes the manager. I cancelled the order, the delivery person showed up 15 minutes later. Thats 1 hour and 15 minutes, when I was 10 minute drive from the salon. Will not order from this place again.
Very tasty sandwiches. Only order the prosciutto panini if you really love prosciutto. Like any good sandwich shop they lay it on thick but that is not always a good thing as too much of a good thing can be a little rich. Don’t get me wrong it was very tasty just too rich to eat in one seating.
Incredible food.Their chicken paninis are so delectable and juicy, the mozzarella cheese just pairs SO well with everything. Its all just melts together into a delicious sandwich of amazing taste.Plus, their delivery is super fast.Use their online ordering, you get points towards free food, which is great!Plus, youre supporting a great resturaunt.
I usually order on Uber Eats, unfortunately, the staff is not very great at communicating. Panino uses their own delivery people and I have written multiple times on my order to leave it at the door when delivered. I have even left my phone number in the instructions if needed. However, they never give this information to the delivery person and they come knocking on my door when they arrive. Only one time has a delivery person called, however, he blamed it on me when I didnt answer him knocking for 6 minutes.I live on the second floor and I just had surgery on my knee. I have to use crutches in order to go downstairs to the front door. This surgery coupled with COVID is why I ask the order to be left at the front door. I ordered earlier today (6/30/21) and once again the delivery person was knocking when he arrived. I had to hobble quickly down the stairs in order to meet him. To add to it, the delivery person did not have his mask on fully (lowered and exposing his nose).I have called multiple times since UberEats has told me to speak with the merchant for a resolution. The group at the restaurant always tell me every time I call the manager is not in. They give you the loop around and avoid you.In a COVID time and for the general safety of your customers, communication would be nice to have.
This is my favorite local restaurant! I’ve been ordering from this location for the last 3 years from 3 different apartments somehow. It’s a little pricey but it’s worth the cost! The ingredients are fresh and they definitely load up their sandwiches and crepes. I always try new things and am never disappointed. Their salads are also delish. Smoothies and coffee too! The restaurant itself it super cute. The staff friendly! During COVID and the summer they have at least 4/5 tables set up outside, some covered and with fans. They also have the cutest little VW Bug parked out front all of the time. When I order for delivery they are super quick whether it’s around the block or a bit away! I highly recommend Panino Rustico!
Absolutely excellent panini. I got the P15 panini, and so glad the mozzarella and tomatoes tasted fresh. I am usually very hesitant about getting these items because they are usually never fresh, and/or they are soggy, but I was so happy it was not. Also toasted just the right amount. I also got the smoothie, and smoothies from other delivery places are usually warm or taste bad, but also pleasantly surprised with this one. Definitely recommend!
Sitting outside is a little difficult with the sun and one shady side in the afternoon but the wait service sorted things out with us.The food was fantastic and for a good price. There are many options to choose from and the food came out quickly. The espresso was super good and tops anything else I have had outside of NYC. I would definitely return!
I love this place. Everything I have ever had here is super fresh and delicious. They have different homemade soups daily which I have had all of and they are all delicious. I try a different panini every time and I havent been disappointed yet. My favorite is the P35. I have tried all of their dessert crepes and they are all amazing as well. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming.
Sitting outside in Bensonhurst is no so common. So it was refreshing for us outside. It was a beautiful day. The food was great. I remember the young guy from the staff that came to our table asking how we were doing, how we liked the food. If you like Italian food, try Panino Rustico. We loved it.
I fell in love with this place. The staff, the decor, the people around in this area make you feel very welcome. The food is just delicious, Love their daily soups and also what a nice place for a family dinner. What is really appealing is that even the owner of this place pays and extreme attention to their clients satisfaction. This is my new Home LOL. Definitely recommend !
Id give it a 3 to be honest, but maybe they were having a bad day? I had the Bensonhurst BLT and I was disappointed. The bread was not crispy and it was a bit too doughy. The overabundance of bread was probably to mask the extra thin (and somewhat dry) chicken cutlet. It wasnt bad, but it definately did not live up to the hype.
I’ve been going here for 5 years, food and service was great. Last 2 times I’ve ordered for pickup of a P20, there is half the amount of chicken and the price is $13 including tax. If it happened once and was a genuine mistake, then I can look past that. But when the price increases and there is half of a piece of chicken that doesn’t even cover the panini bread, that’s just insane. I call up and they say “sorry”. You lost a customer and will continue to lose more with inconsistent portions and overpriced sandwiches.
Many great things to say about this place! One that is not mentioned a lot is that the owner Louie who runs the eatery is a true master at his craft. The place runs like clockwork. The ingredients are handpicked by him, the food is delicious, the vibe is positive among the staff and customers. It is not often you meet a master of their craft, so go down to the restaurant and greet, meet, and eat with one!
This review is not about the food is about service. I really liked this place and usually came during summer time because my niece loved it. But lately the few times ive come in, Ive noticed they have preference over certain customers and have them seated first and the attention given is very different. Really gives a bad feeling to those customers who enjoyed coming in and have a nice panini or a nice crepe. During busy times, theres been times where theres seats available and not only myself with guest but other people i know that USED to come here have waited over 20 mnts and theres people taking extra chairs and the girls there do not ask them to make space and on top of that have attitude when you ask a question. This is where my comment about preference comes in. Sad to know something like this happens when you really enjoy going to a place.
Authentic food, good atmosphere, highly recommended. I usually order online from this place and like their food so I figured Ill visit. Seemingly the place is quite popular in the neighborhood, judging by how busy it was during brunch on Saturday and rightfully so, their food is amazing. Keep in mind this is a cash only establishment.
I went there because of the great reviews. Maybe i came on an off night but honestly my bf literally walked out of the place after a screwed up espresso. Paper cup, paper plates and plastic utensils at a sit down cafe that was not that cheap. I went there as sit down. Espresso with lemon skin turned into chunks of lemon. Request knife and they provided dull plastic knife that we couldnt use to cut the skin because god forbid they give you what you requested. Anyways food was ok at best and everything else was below standard. It seems like standards were lowered to what is good food and drinks etc considering the good reviews.
Maybe I wouldn’t have noticed how terrible their service is, if I hadn’t been taking food to go. Three tables, pretty empty, and about 5 untrained girls working. One seemed like she got some training/was doing most of the work. As I stood at the front waiting for my food, the girls were busy eating, gossiping and singing. one table asked for extra dressing, took them about 4minutes and the lady was halfway done with her salad. And when the lady asked the same girl again, she blamed it on another girl and went to ask her for it. I watched the other tables food sit in the window as the girls ate their food behind the register and chatted. Then I finally saw a bunch of wrapped up sandwiches show up in the kitchen and waited a minute, maybe not mine. Then figured I’d ask the girls if my food was up, they looked at me with disgust as I had interrupted their conversation and told me 5 more minutes. Two minutes later the girl went to check and guess what? I was right it was my sandwich in the window minutes ago. No apology, nothing. Just handed me my food, and bye. This place is run so poorly. Go to any of the other sandwich shops in the area. Better food, better service.
My favorite panini spot. Everything on the menu is delicious, not just their paninis. Such a quaint spot in the neighborhood, a must on anyones list. They also have 2 other locations, one in Mill Basin and in Staten Island. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Its a good place to take a date but also a family oriented place or even with your girlfriends. I love sitting outside when the weather is warmer.
Never had a bad experience coming here until tonight. I ordered a few things from the menu. Everything was right except one thing. I ordered a panini with grilled chicken, avocado, and mozzarella. When I got home and checked, the panini had only avocado and mozzarella.... How do you forget the chicken???? Confused. I wasnt going to waste my time going back there, its already 8:30. Disappointed. I would have understood forgetting the avocado or cheese.... But the chicken??? How.
Best Panini Ive ever tried. The capuccino is Fire Good, the staff is super friendly. The salads in this place are delish as well, btw you can also build your own salad and even your custom Panini. So glad I found this place. Now this a family spot for us. Thank you Panino Rustico for being GREAT 🎉🙏🏼
I’ve never actually sat down in the restaurant to eat there, but I’ve ordered from them so many times and was always satisfied. They make some amazing paninis and you can add, substitute, or remove some ingredients from their set paninis to cater to your tastes. But, there’s usually no need because their flavors are always brilliantly complimentary and very, very tasty. I’m a huge fan of just grilled chicken, roasted peppers, arugula, mozzarella and pesto. The grilled chicken with goat cheese, avocado, and balsamic glaze is also very delicious. Roast beef is also extremely tasty. I’ve never had a bad panini from them and they always deliver on time (I live really close by). Staff, whenever I would walk over, is also very friendly.A nutella panini is a great way to end the meal with what’s basically another meal. Hot, melty nutella slathered all over a hot panini... Their crepes are done very nicely too and come in many different delicious flavors. Nutella tart and linzer tart are also tasty and sweet. You really can’t go wrong with this local panini shop.
When this tiny shop opened up in my neighborhood a few years ago, I knew this was going to be a success straight from the beginning. Though the restaurant is a bit on the tiny side, the taste and quality of the paninis more than made up for it. My usual order - the P18, a prosciutto with fresh mozzarella - never disappointing as the savory flavors of the prosciutto work lovely with the mozzarella, all on a delicious toasted panini.
Panini!! Not too dry, not too liquid, little crispy (I asked to give it extra 2 minutes). Sometime I am writing reviews, and hope they wont make the place so famous, that next time I will not find a seat.If you love this type of food, you should visit !!Just improve the coffee, and they will have me forever!
Best paninis in the friendly brooklyn neighborhood! Theres a big selection to choose from and their staff is beyond welcoming and friendly! This gem is even better in the summer time when they open the patio out front. Service is amazing even for delivery! Highly recommend this restaurant for brunch as well.
There are alot of really...really bad spots in the neighborhood...they have delicious classics and seem to understand the disappearing art of hospitality...between Panino Rustico and Faiccos (its one or the other for my delivery/pre made meals) Im very happy. 😎01/12/21 UPDATE: Someone saved my CC numbers and used my card for a delivery I paid cash for...nice scam if I was stoopit...DO NOT PAY BY CC HERE! 😳
Went for crepes at 925 pm. Girl behind the counter said the kitchen was closed. So I am unable to review, I am also not a fan that the place has store hours on the door saying open till 10 pm. Thats bad enough for me not too go back. Obviously they dont want you as a customer.
Great neighborhood panino and cafe shop in a area that is short on this type of food. Youll get great morning or lunch coffee, pastries, or paninis. Can get a bit crowded on Saturdays where families will take up the tables.Highlights are the goat cheese and spinach panini or the prosciutto panini. The bread was pressed and grill great. Wonderful soft bread with a crunchy outside. They also provide good crepes as we had a peanut butter and nutella one which was made well. Go for their fresh coffee as well.
I have noticed this cafe-restaurant ever since I moved back to Brooklyn in 2010. Ive always wanted to go this place and after a friend of mine recently raved about it, I finally took the plunge with my family and dined there myself. The place has that European cafe feel to it complete with outdoor seating and sophisticated coffee-making machinery. I ordered hot coffee and a savory crepe with goat cheese, red peppers, and olive tapenade along with a bowl of tuscan bean soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. The menu has a large variety of paninis, crepes, and omlettes. You could also order many varieties of coffee from cappuccino to espresso and everything in between and a large assortment of smoothies as well. This cafe is situated in a residential part of Bensonhurst and has an unassuming facade that is easy to go unnoticed while driving. It is an instant classic for my family and I and will now be one of our local go-to places for brunch.

What can I say about this slice of Old Bensonhurst. Since Bensonhurst has changed greatly this is the old school feel. Menu is consistent so you always know what your getting. Quality panini, salads and wraps. Great way to spend a lazy afternoon or evening with friends eating al fresco in warm weather. Bringing Brooklyn back to the 80s Yay!
This is the place to come for paninis. Theres no other place that can make it as good as them. The place is kinda small, it tends to get crowded a bit, especially if you sit right in middle is hard to get out sometimes. Outdoor seating is available and they only accept cash.
Lovely little bistro, indicative of old Brooklyn in the 1970s & 80s. You can easily become a regular here. Friendly hip wait staff, friendly owners and nice Bensonhurst atmosphere. If you remember Saturday Night Fever, Goodfellas and other Brooklyn movies youre right at home here. Great cappuccino, black coffee, panini & wraps. Try it, good food, pleasant outside seating, kick back no one is in a rush. Enjoy old Brooklyn here!

2022-03-16Omg. I came here with my sister who is from the area & I’ve never had a better little brunch experience. The panini is one of the best I’ve ever had and my toasted marshmallow latte was better than Starbucks. If I could give this place a 100/5 I would. The crepe was also amazing. Ingredients taste so so fresh. THE SERVICE deserves 5 stars on its own. Most considerate staff and I wish I lived here so I could come everyday.

2022-02-23Beautiful ambience friendly staff and the sandwiches? Amazing! This is one of those little neighborhood places where the food is exceptional and you feel right at home. I didnt think I was going to get a philly cheesesteak panini but I did. The waitress recommended it and man was it really good!!! Just go, trust me...Youll really like it. : )

2022-03-15This is my favorite panini spot. All sandwiches are delicious! My favorites are the vegetarian ones with olives, roasted peppers, eggplant, mozzarella and more. The grilled chicken sandwiches are fantastic too and my sister adores the prosciutto sandwiches. Panini are large and good for splitting! Their salads are also excellent and their bruschetta is divine. I also recommend the soup, especially the tomato soup! Also a great place to stop in for a cappuccino and a dessert treat.Highly recommended!

2022-03-23Bread is amazing but DO NOT GET THEIR TUNA. I received a tuna panini and as soon as I opened it my ENTIRE house stunk of something I can not say lol. When my husband came home he thought something died in the house. Never had issues with the Italian tuna at the mill basin location.

2022-06-08Amazing food with a big selection.Amazing service- friendly, funny and had great suggestions. The coffee was the best Ive had in a while
