I go to my regular dentist every 6 months to a year. Recently I hadnt gone to my dentist for a while. I went for a cleaning and found out I needed my tooth removed. They told me to go to Park Dental that very day so I didnt know what to expect. I was very scared however the doctor there was very nice, reassuring, cared about my situation and made sure I got the best treatment. I never had any sort of surgery in my life, so my dental surgery was the first one ever. I was scared out of my mind, but at Park Dental Dr. Juman was there every step of the way making sure I was not in pain and took care of me well throughout the 2 hours that I was there. My first surgery experience went well at Park Dental.I will be returning for follow up treatment and I am actually looking forward to going to the dentist for the first time in my life! Staff was very nice as well! I will recommend my other siblings and family members go there now instead of where we normally used to go.
Location is rarely open when they are slated to be. Receptionist seem to be overwhelmed. Staff openly sharing that reception doesn’t communicate with them well. Staff are not scheduled breaks so it may land during your appointment, prolonging your visit significantly. TVs are on in nearly every room, sometimes distracting technicians, to a point where they missed a section while cleaning my teeth.My brief experience with the dentist positive, though he wasn’t the dentist I scheduled to see. He was patient to answer all questions and realistic regarding the need/options for treatment.
Very poor customer service to the fat guy always smoking a cigarette at the front desk to their dentists. I remember going for an appointment not having insurance and there werent many issues but once I got insurance from my job suddenly I had several problems. I received a crown operation and my gums got infected. After going to NYU dental they told me the poor job they did and to request a refund.
Park Dental is the best dental facility Ive been to in a long time. Dr. Wayne Seid, youve done wonders for us and were grateful. My entire family has had dental care by this group and we are all happy. Every employee is courteous and exudes the utmost professionalism. People Ive referred are happy with the service and care they have received. I moved from NYC to NC in 2014 and for 2 years after my move, I travelled back and forth to New York to Park Dental for our dental care. Thank you Park Dental, you are amazing.Thank you.
Dr.Ahmed is amazing. Ive always been scared of going to the dentist. This was one of the most pleasant experience Ive ever had. Highly recommend.Also they seem to have new receptionists who are friendly and helpful.
I brought my two year old there for the first time today to be seen. I watched almost 15 people that came after us go in to see their dentists. I was there for two hours waiting despite my complaints!!! You can imagine waiting two hours and with a two year old!!!!! When I finally saw the dentist and complained, she told me she doesnt know what the receptionists are doing in the front. The dentist was nice but the receptionists do not know how to do their job nor have any decency or regard for a small child waiting there for so long. Very unprofessional. Will never go there again despite the decent dentist!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!!! Really great experience. Was in need of a dentist badly and this was the only office in the area. Even though they were busy they were able to fit me in. Office manager James really nice guy as well as Dr. JUMAN who saw me and started a root canal on me(#Painless!)Will be referring family/ friends here. FYI - even though they were not at liberty to confirm but I heard from another patient that AARON JUDGE was in there the day before getting his broken tooth fixed!!!
Worst dentist ever!Save your time and go somewhere else!!When the orthodontic was doing my cavity, he picked up his personal phone called that was not an emergency middle of the procedure. He made me wait couple minutes. I waited and he did my filing very quick as well. It took him about 7 minutes to do my cavity and filling including the phone call! Treating a cavity takes a longer time to fix!! My filling CAME OFF the next day! LIKE ARE THEY SERIOUS ?? I waited more than 1 hour for this 7 mins treatment?? And also the front desk I asked if my root canal got approved by the insurance and she said yes! I called them the next day because I needed the approval number in order to make an appointment, and GUESS WHAT! The person from dentist that I did not got approved yet! I still have to wait 2 more weeks and he said that the previous lady misunderstood for being approved! Like seriously ???
I love this dental practice. Ive been going here for almost 20 years and I am super picky with who touches my mouth. That should speak in volume for itself. Dr. Caifa Jr. and Dr. Said are indeed wonderful to work. Great friendly staff as well. I actually hate the idea of going to the dentist but I love visiting my friends at Park Dental.
I always get seen right away. The staff is very thorough and efficient. My two children and I had appointments ranging from 3pm to 4:30pm, and we were all done by 4pm. The front desk scheduled our follow ups quickly and kindly. Highly recommend.
Always a great experience at Park Dental. I have been going there a long time , since there old office on Steinway St and Ditmars Blvd. Friendly staff. Great waiting area. Very professional service. I was seen right away, and was finished with my x-rays before my appointment time was even reached! I had a cleaning and everyone was efficient, kind and courteous. Plus, they have TVs in every station so you can kind of tune out the instruments in your mouth. Bonus! Is it weird that I cant wait to go back to the dentist?
Very impressive- modern office with cutting-edge technology. They recently installed a CT Scan machine so I got to see a 3D image of my jaw before they placed my implants. Dont have any implants placed without having one of these done! This computer guided machine tells them EXACTLY where to place the implant. They are very professional and EXPLAIN everything to the patient before the work is started. Dr. Gene Caiafa Jr is my dentist and treated me very nicely. Really cool guy. His partner Dr. Seid performed my implant surgery and I was playing basketball the day after! Very fair payment terms as well. They try to make everything affordable- I went to a few other dentists that I felt like it was all about $$$- This office presents EVERY plan to you/ not just the high priced treatments. Based on my discussions with others in the waiting room It seems as if most of Astoria feels the same way!! They even get a lot of people from Manhattan and Long Island who dont want to pay all the high fees. I recommend this office and will refer to them. They are Excellent!!!
Most professional staff; excellent doctors. They take away the fear of going to a dentist, the doctors recognize the problem; explain it properly and help you on the spot - I needed surgical extraction and the doctor is superb! They come up with a plan for extensive work and understand budget. They put the patient before money. I feel safe and secure there and I am very happy. Thank you for wonderful doctors! Most of these 5 star reviews are fake reviews just look at the profiles and most of them dont even have a picture seems strange dont you think? I live in the neighborhood and EVERYONE I talk to hates this dentist. Most people hate it for the long waits. I hate it because my 6 year old daughter is a patient there. She had 2 cavities and needed a cleaning. They made me wait a whole month after the cleaning to get her cavity filled. Then a whole 5 months to get the next cavity filled. It was already time for her next cleaning and they couldnt even clean her teeth or check for any new cavities. I dont know what kind of low lives put up with this but I work and dont have time for this. I guess they stay in business because of all the drug addicts and bums that live in the ditmars area. They accept medicaid so all the bums and low lives go there I guess it keeps them in business. Im switching dentists before my daughters teeth are ruined because of these incompetents!
The tech doing x rays awaome very kind hearted down to earth. The hygienist Ruth awesome. Patient kind like family. I had many horrible experiences at dentist. My visit was outstanding to my fears ! Highly recommend
I moved here and started going to Dr. Caiafa, Jr. several years ago. He treats people with respect and genuinely cares about their well-being. His office is very clean, professional and he has a variety of specialists around at any given time to give their opinions and advice. I recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dentist.
I sought dental care here once and received rude service. i waited 45 minutes for a Prosthodontist only to have a dentist come tell me what I needed. When I asked why I couldnt see the Prosthodontist I was told he was busy and that I shouldnt be upset. These people are a total waste of time. Not to mention the Indian lady is always inquiring about who will be paying.
Terrible experience I had today. The front desk West Indian ladies were unprofessional, loud, and unwelcoming. They have disgusting attitudes and the whole time talking nasty about people, and complaining about their jobs. These ungrateful people should not respresent a good doctor, mount sinai, or pro health. They did not acknowledge me as I walked in. I had to ask about paperwork for new patients. They did not ask me to have a seat. When I gave her back the papers, she did not acknowledge that I did. She asked me twice what my birthdate and was incredibly distracted by the other employee. They told me this dentist wasn’t assigned to me by my insurance and it’s not showing up in the system that I am. When I clearly have changed my doctor in August and this PARK dental doctor was effective September 1st, 2018. I made the appointment today at 12pm. I told her I made the change already and it has been effective since September. She said I’d have to make the change because it wouldn’t show up in the system. She told me there’s nothing she can do about it. So I walked out confused. I called Healthfirst and was told I am able to go to Park dental and that I am assigned to this particular doctor. I gave the receptionist my phone so she and the health first representative can discuss this matter. The receptionist says, “I don’t have time to be on the phone with you guys for 45 minutes, you guys don’t pick up!” Then, she proceeds to hand MY phone over to the other receptionist. LAME EXCUSES MADE MY LAZY PEOPLE. DO BETTER. SERVE YOUR PATIENTS BETTER. FIRE THESE UNPROFESSIONAL RATCHET HAGS.
Horrible place! They make you wait for am outrageously long time and then when you finally go in you think the doctor is gonna be with you right away, but no you’re waiting again. For what the service is horrible
Do not waste your time going there. The dentist didnt do a mouth cleaning as required on an examination, told be that my pain would be solved with a change in toothpaste didnt look at the xrays had me in and out in five minutes. They seemed to be in a hurry, another guy came and without any cerimony told me i need an extraction without ANY analysis. when i asked about the xray they said they saw it, all this in less than five minutes.All bad reviews there are merited. This was my first time. Im never going back there. Absolutely terrible experience. will tell my inssurance about it too, they are scamming people
Ive been going to Astoria Park Dental since I was a teenager living out on Long Island. The excellent care that I received from Ferencz (Frank) Pataki, in addition to the services of Dr. Gene Jr. and Sr., always comforted me. From general cleanings to fillings and wisdom tooth extractions, Frank and the team always strove to provide me with the best service. Thanks, APD folks!!
Last year I chipped one of my teeth and had a composite put in (at a different dentists office). Three weeks ago that composite popped off and I called Park Dental for an emergency appointment. They scheduled an appointment for me slated for the very next day. They weighed the options with me of having another composite put on, or having the tooth crowned. But they did not pressure me towards the more expensive option of crowning, and let me opt for another composite. Dr. Kamo Juman put in the composite right away, and the results were just as good if not better than the first composite I originally had done. Visually the tooth looks as good as if there had never been any chipping at all, and all sensitivity went away after just a couple days. Beyond that, Dr. Juman and his staff were super friendly and made easygoing an experience that may otherwise have been quite stressful. I thoroughly recommend their services.
This office is all about cut-throat business. They lied to my brother telling him that his insurance would reimburse him for a procedure but he had to pay the entire fee first. In speaking with the insurance company we learned that the procedure would not have been covered.I had one experience there when going for a cleaning. The hygienist hardly did anything and told me I needed to schedule a procedure that was going to cost me $300.I wouldnt go here unless you are rich and dont care about paying twice as much as you should. The office is classy, and the service is friendly. Im not going back though.
Unfriendly welcome when I visited. Receptionist seemed overwhelmed or distracted and came off as uninformative and rude. I ended up walking out. Place looks amazing, but beyond that I would strongly recommend caution. If you look at most of the positive reviews on here, they are fake one-time reviewers who have no Google account activity nor come from the area. (One reviewer was from another state!). Any business that has to use fake reviews is suspicious.
Friendly and efficient check-in. Wait time was not long at all. Dental assistants friendly and knowledgeable. Had x-ray scan. Saw Dr. Caiafa. Discussed my condition and what can be done. Overall very happy.
They r making money, and make 10 appointment on tooth and once touch the tooth make another appointment.i had filling from here but it is not fotted and pain they making money by doung redo and redo. if u save ur tooth find a good doctor and save ur time and money. they can do well only cleaning not other treatments like root canal,filling crown etc.

Have good insurance? Rot canal, root canal, root canal. They are not in it to make your moth healthy. All they want is maximum profit. My moth is still suffering damage and it has been 2 years since I have last been there. Do not go here. Actually you should run in a different direction.
This place is horrible . Went in a while back for an Invisalign consultation - the dentist was such a rude man . Extremely unprofessional... I would look for WAY better options in the neighborhood. Save yourself the trouble ... go somewhere else !

A GEM of surrounding COMMUNITY--> As objective as I could possibly be, from a holistic vantage point, arguably, pound-for-pound, one of the best (if not THE best) dental clinics within NW Queens.........Straight-up, affordable, no-nonsense assessments/services for young & old alike..........Also, quite sensitive they are to those who bring DDS phobia baggage to the table........Summarily/figuratively righting-the-ship w/grace n aplomb from any less-than-pleasant oral health experiences of given patients more youthful days (or otherwise)!
So rude ! The front desk girl is so disrespectful. My mother called few times and asked for somebody who speak Spanish and this women didnt even say anything she just hang up the phone multiple times. I was going for the first time but this kind of treatment my mother got Im not interested anymore.
The hygienist Ruth cleaned my teeth very well. I am so happy that she explained to me and was so thorough with her work & the doctor was amazing too
Had an an appointment at 2 i waited a whole hour to be called then when i finally get called i ended up waiting another our to see someone and they ask what are you here for exactly? They had no clue what i was getting. Not worth It.
I would of gave them 100000000 stars excellent nice fun clean caring cool down to earth dentist but excellent job with teeth I have new dentist for life ty park dental :) also they have tv wifi state of the art dental equipment clean bathroom was very pleased :)

Horrible receptionist they told me my Inssurance was inactive I call my Inssurance to verify the status guess what its active now i have to come back in honestly ridiculous especially when you are waiting for the receptionist to get off of a personal phone call about her remodeling her house. Horrible service
They do a great job and I rarely have to wait long. The hygienist is very thorough and answers all my questions.
Wait time is horrible. No matter how early you show up before your appointment or how early in advance you have scheduled it, you WILL WAIT 60 MIN or more to be seen.
They removed my tooth with their bare hands. They left me in pain and I was crying. I would never recommend this place, not even to my worst enemies! Im never coming back here.

Bad service I have been there for 2 hours my appointment was 2:30 pm they call me at 4:00 pm and some 2 people came after and they call them I was feeling boring there when I took my appointment they said we accept your insurance and doctor check me my mouth said you need to pay even I see is only brook teeth insurance can cover that so dont lose your time to go there ... I can tell you is bad dental clinic I see in my life

2022-03-22Ok … I don’t know where to start but I can’t believe that I just had x- rays done today in California ( moved here ) and the 2 root canals i just have done 8 month ago are falling apart …. I did two root canals and two crowns and a filling on a third tooth ( infection found and root canal needed in the 3rd one ) … I used all insurance funds and paid out of pocket for a s…… job …. Also , the wait time outside and inside and the rude people who just work to get money money money….. I’m soooooo sad and furious that all my time and money were gone !!!!!! Terrible terrible… I wish I can’t give ZERO stars

2021-10-06This place is a factory. Go here if you hate yourself and you want goofy service.The last 2 times I was here I had to wait because they overbooked and then the dentist left early. Ive been trying to get on for over the past month for a simple cleaning and been rescheduled 2x during that process. Shameful.Plenty of other dental offices in Astoria.No reason to go to a stand comedy show anymore, just come here. They might have a netflix special coming out soon.

2017-11-15This is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. After doing my research online looking for a good dentist this Park Dental Care was my final choice. After taking my mom there first the care she got was amazing. I made an appointment for myself and they really took care of me. The place is very clean and the staff is amazingly wonderful. The wait time was real quick. They actually see you at the time they give you an appointment for. If you live in queens or in this planet you have to go here just one time to see what I’m talking about. This is not a paid endorsement I promise you. I’m so happy with their service that I’m taking time out of my day to write this comment. Great care for your patient Park Dental. Keep up the good work so more good comments come your way. Thanks.

2020-11-01I went here years ago, I went for a clean up . I know my teeth where not in good shape at the time thats why I went to the dentist. The man who gave me the cleaning was complaining out loud to himself on how disgusting my teeth is. Very unprofessional on his part. Thats all I heard from him saying. Yes I know it was. Thats the reason why people go to a dentist. I will never go to this place ever again.. made me feel uncomfortable.

2020-12-23Park dental is the WORST!!!They took advantage of me they forced me to get a mold of my teeth so that they could submit to my insurance company and they claimed that they had done thousands of dollars worth of work to my teeth but the truth is that they havent done anything they collected thousands of dollars and they prevented me from getting work done in the future on those very teeth numbers that work there are unprofessional and unethical an ally often the owner is a liar as well I dont understand how theyre still in business. Also, while I was getting major work done. , to dentists starting have a 29 min casual conversation about their plans for that weekend. Right in front of me while I was on the chair. I couldn’t believe it. This place is the absolute WORST!!!

2021-04-21This place is the worst!! After waiting over 1hr & 30mins to be seen. They finally took me back to WAIT MORE!!! I parked at a 2 hr meter so I had to run out to put more money quickly. (Keep in mind the dentist still didn’t come in to evaluate me yet ) no less than 10-15 secs I returned back and they put another patient in the same room that I was assigned to!! Extremely overbooked. Unbelievable and the worst customer service ever!! Never again!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. They also quote you out of pocket for procedures that your insurance will cover.

2019-08-16Lets start with my last 2 appointments, after waiting almost an hour to see the doctor, mind you, I had an appointment, the doctor did not have my chart ready, they had no approval number for my procedure (when I called to make the appointment I said what kind of procedure i was having).At the end I had to call my insurance and pass my cell phone to the front desk so they could assist the office and i can see the doctor. My appointment was at 2.30pm. I left at closing time...Last appointment, another half hour wait. Let us take into account that we live in the state of NEW YORK with LIMITED time. I went to finish my procedure in my HALF hour lunch break. And guess what? I was never seen by the doctor, the young man at the front desk is super rude and with a very bad attitude. We, the users of your dental services, are the ones who pay the salaries of the medical office staff and we are treated as we are asking for a favor.In the end I got up and left, call my insurance so that Park Dental was only paid for the procedure already performed and find another dentist in my area to finish it .. Oh, important fact, I had been a user of your dental services since 2005 and recently my 13 year old daughter.

2019-07-31Not recommended at all. It’s like a zoo. I now have to spend lots of $$$ to remove my root canals they did. What normally a root canal may take 2-3 appt at most, this place will drag you for more than 10 times. Not even sure how they even get away to get money from insurance with these kind of services. Management of the place is terrible with overbooking. There is not one dentist to follow up with your case, whomever is there gets their hands on you and do work based on some mere xrays. No structure at all. The only one doing a decent job will be the hygienist Frank but that’s about it. I read a review of someone saying how he got service quickly. That’s a joke right?? That is NEVER the case.

2019-02-08I had my semi-annual cleaning at Park Dental w/Frank, the dental hygienist. He spent quite a bit of time on my coffee-stained teeth. He was professional and gave me a great recommendation to do a fluoride treatment. He put quite a lot of time and effort during my appointment and his work was excellent. After, Dr. C came in & examined my teeth and gave great advice on a possible teeth guard for me. I am a very happy & satisfied patient. Ill be back in 6 months for another cleaning.

2017-02-07Horrible dentist office. It doesnt even deserve 1 star. While the male dental hygienist is good, everything else about this place is HORRIBLE. Seems like a decent professional place from the outside but that is not the case at all. Ive never waited less than an hour to get a cleaning. Typically the wait is at least an hour usually longer. When I call to make sure theyre running on time they say they are but then you arrive and end up waiting at least an hour. Dentist is not good either. Do not waste your time coming here it is NOT worth it at all. And if you do expect to wait awhile to be seen. I will not be coming back.
