Luxurious hotel in a very convenient location for activities uptown.Rooms are large and very plush. There’s a pool and 24 hr gym.I’m surprised at the negative reviews focusing on hotel staff. I mean, sure they weren’t falling over themselves to fawn over us, but I don’t think that’s important to most people…
Pool and related facilities closed, no explanation and no prior notification. By far the top reason to stay and unacceptable that it was never communicated in advance. Was told it was unavoidable which is fine yet communicating it could have happened easily before arriving. Was told to call every morning to find out “if the pool was open” which was a waste of time and also not becoming or a five star hotel. Not happy about my experience or stay. This is one of the few hotels to actually have a pool or jacuzzi in the city and had I known otherwise I would have happily stayed at the hundreds of other comparable and far cheaper options in the city which also don’t have a pool.
Maybe a 6 star hotel for their globalist members but 3 stars for non globalist members. late check out is guaranteed for globalist so be prepared to have your room unavailable till past 5pm if you arent a globalist members when checking in at 3pm. in other words, stay only if you are a globalist member as non globalist members arent welcome. Worst Park Hyatt thus far. prob worthwhile to accumulate your loyalty elsewhere, at least you enjoy the service from the start rather than only after accumulating the loyalty.
If youre serious about paying $1000+/night, then I think you know what youre signing up for staying at the Park Hyatt NY. Rooms are amazing and I think the lobby bar is one of the best in the city unless youre looking to be seen. The whiskey menu and the view of Carnegie Hall from your barstool are irreplaceable. My Hyatt status gets me free in room breakfast, but I would not recommend it for the prices charged. Its usually $200+ for two, and while its probably the best free breakfast in the city, Im not sure its worth $200. If youre a coffee person, I would recommend the large pot, as the service is amazing and its a wonderful brew, even at $35 including tax and service charge. Finally, keeping an eye out for the house car, which is actually a large SUV, is another wonderful perk of staying here. It stays gone much of the time, but if you catch it, it will take you anywhere in midtown in style and at no cost. I know $1000/night is not in everyones budget but if youre going to the city for a long weekend of shopping, dining, shows and/or a long walk in Central Park, I think it is money well spent. Book in advance and sometimes you can find rates as low as about $700.
I have only great things to say about the Park Hyatt Hotel in New York. Located on 57th close to Central Park and all the best shopping New York has to offer this 5 star flagship hotel exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in we were warmly greeted and assisted with our luggage. Reception and check in was smooth and the staff was incredible! Our room was the best and had everything we needed from a lint brush roller to an umbrella for the seasonal New York spring rain. The bed was so comfortable and the lighting was perfect. The bathroom floors are heated but they do provide slippers and a robe for extra comfort. The shower is the best shower I have ever experienced with a rain head and large enough to fit two people 😉The water is complimentary ( not the vose water ) but we managed to always have the complimentary water from the hotel anytime we needed. The drapes and sheers are electronic and our room faced the quiet side of the city which helped with a quiet experience since New York can be noisy. Our room was made up everyday and neatly organized and clean! I love this hotel, and hope to stay here again next time we visit New York. They get a 5 star review from me and a space on my social media!!Thank you to the staff and especially Willam, he was there every time we came back from being out and about and was the coolest guy in the hotel! I recommend taking a dip in the pool and spa then going into the steam room after a long day in the big apple!
The phrase “the height of luxury”, in a literal sense, refers to the heights of the buildings along Billionaire’s Row.That definitely applies to this building as I’ve been fortunate enough to stay here for a couple days (before moving into an apartment along 45th). Very neat rooms with plenty of toiletries already there. Beds were simultaneously comfy and fashionable. As the name suggests, it’s quite close to Central Park, which is convenient for those who wish to spend an afternoon doing stuff in that area. Probably a better view of the park from the higher floors but I didn’t have a room that high up as they were significantly more expensive. If you’re only gonna be visiting NY for a couple days then get a room on a lower floor. Takes less time to get to street level and they’re less expensive.
Stayed for 6 nights and then 8 nights with 2 nights gap between the two stays. Check in experience is bad. Specially in the second stay instead of providing a room upgrade as I am hyatt world globalist, they downgraded me. Then I rejected the assigned room and gave me the room category which I booked for. Rooms in general are not very clean. Service is very slow. Laundry service is bad. This hotel is not recommended at all in New York.
Seriously the best ever. The rooms are luxurious and every single detail is managed to perfection. The pool and gym are absolutely stunning. The staff is the most gracious I have ever encountered. They even left my husband a bouquet and a card signed by everyone to wish him luck for his heart surgery at Mount Sinai. We are so, so thankful.
Nicely done👌. If you have points, the stay is definitely worth it.-The location is perfect, very short walks to the subway, time square, Ocean Prime, Central Park, 5th Avenue shopping, etc.-This is the first hotel we have stayed in a long time that answers the phone (usually on the first ring), both outside and inside the hotel.-Absolutely gorgeous decor, layout, everything-The staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. 110%-The gym and pool were incredible, with NYC views!LOVE this hotel-Note for ladies, the bathroom lighting isn’t great for makeup, I should have thought to ask for a makeup mirror, they do have them available.
Having a most ridiculous experience here as a Hyatt globalist. For the breakfast they suggest you to take two items from the cart only. I tried one and I simply didn’t like it. The manager « kindly » endorsed me to have another item of the cart. They also count one cold drink and one hot drink.Petty to have such rules in a 5 star hotel.NOT recommended if you would like to have a pleasant hassle free experience and home away from home. Most disappointing experience in Hyatts so far.
Competent, but completely lacking in any element of surprise and delight.Let me preface this by saying that I have been living in hotels full time since the start of the pandemic, have over 200 qualifying nights in Hyatts in 2021 alone and have top status with the other major chains and have stayed in all of their luxury properties in New York. That being said, this was my first time staying in this park Hyatt and I was sorely disappointed. The service was competent, but certainly nothing special and probably ranked among the worst elite recognition I’ve received this year, including limited service properties. In fact it might be the first stay this year where I didn’t receive any sort of welcome amenity or welcome note from mgmt. Given the hotel’s price point and aspirational nature I struggle to understand why (maybe the watering down of globalist qualifications in 2021?).Regardless, I wouldn’t get tour hopes up if you see this property as an aspirational stay and would encourage you to stay at either the Andaz 5th ave or Thompson beekman if you’re a Hyatt loyalist, or the Conrad midtown, Loews regency, Langham, The Dominick or St Regis if not. All of these properties are less expensive than the Park (outside the st Regis), feature better breakfasts and deliver on the elements of surprise and delight that take a stay from competent to special in a way the Park Hyatt does not.
Near perfect hotel in a great location! I stayed here on a Saturday night to celebrate an anniversary. Not only did the front desk staff acknowledge this and enhance my room, but the guest services manager, Justina, sent up prosecco and strawberries! Great customer service, and I really felt cared for. I also very much appreciated housekeeping stopping by to replenish towels and provide water. The room was nearly perfect; only things wrong were the iPad (presumably to request service) would not work, desk lamp was broken, and the doorbell was a little too soft to wake me up (I was napping when maintenance let themselves in to replace door battery, which I was unaware had died). Great gym and pool facility with amazing views on the top floor. Also the spa bathroom was out of this world! This is my preferred hotel in NYC, I just hope that Park Hyatt can improve on the room situations as described above.
Outstanding hotel, highly recommended.Check-in: We didnt check in until late, but the room was ready as expected and check-in was seamless. It should be noted that the check in area is on the 3rd floor, and there is no indication of this when walking into the building from the street.Room: Outstanding. Plenty of space, particularly true for a NYC hotel. Well appointed and comfortable throughout. Wonderful products. Clean. Quiet. Everything we wanted.Service: Outstanding. They are offering both regular cleaning and turn down service by request. Everytime we asked for something it was there quickly, and usually way more than what we asked for!Restaurant: Closed so cant really say. Room service seems extremely overpriced, especially considering the great options right outside. There is a grocery store across the street that sells very nice prepared foods and wine.Ambiance: There is only a small lobby and not much action. No people watching here. I usually prefer a little more action but considering how much action there is on the street, the life key atmosphere was welcome.Pool and fitness area: Great and unexpected for a NYC hotel. Steam room, hot tub, pool, and a fitness room that has really nice equipment including Peloton bikes. In conclusion, the best hotel experience since COVID, and is highly recommended.
Five star hotel with flawless service. Rooms spacious by Manhattan standards; many amenities and a Nespresso machine in the room instead of a Keurig. May be my last Hyatt stay as a Globalist for awhile since my travel hasnt met pre-COVID numbers, so nice way to wrap up status.
Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Park Hyatt in their Sky Terrace Suite. What a spectacular room & property, the service was impeccable, the location of the hotel is perfect. Id highly recommend a stay here if your visiting New York, the Sky Terrace Suite in particular was a very memorable experience.
Service is really poor here. They misplaced my suit jacket during express pressing service and could not locate it until the next day. Not one person apologized, in fact every staff I spoke to was rude and acted like they were too busy to care about their screwup. Then they did not even refund the express surcharge and I had to argue about it at check-out. I also asked for a manager to contact me but have not heard from anyone.I also hated that the room I was given did not have blackout curtains and also had a lot of noise from the street. I would ask for a different room, maybe not one facing 57th. Bathroom was really nice but does not make up for the other shortcomings.
To say the experience has been incredibly poor is an understatement. It honestly feels as though I am staying at a 2* property. No service at the entrance. You literally have to hunt someone down. Once in your suite you find the wet bar completely empty. I thought it was a mistake but they are using the touchless COVID excuse despite the city now being open for weeks. Poor and insulting excuse particularly as the ANDAZ a couple miles away has FULLY stocked mini bars! Your only option is to wait for room service if you need a drink in your room...Honestly a property that has a vending machine offers more than the Park at this point! No complimentary town car. No one to hail a cab...was told to get myself an Uber! No restaurant. The list of failings goes on...I was informed that when they get up to around 70-80% capacity they will start to return services. Really... Until then they are still charging Category 7 rates and expecting customers to forgo the services they pay exorbitant prices for.If you cannot provide the services then dont open. At this point this hotel is a very limited services property. Do Not make the mistake of thinking this property is anywhere near functional as a 5 star property. This has nothing do to with safety protocol and is all about maximizing profit. The customer experience is COMPLETELY lacking.I was embarrassed to have invited someone to this property. The city is fully open and has been for weeks this is simply unacceptable.I have stayed previously and it was a memorable experience but this time the lack of what makes this hotel special is appalling. Its not that its just missing the extra touches...there is literally nothing... From the moment you arrive ...the staff at the entrance, when you can find one, appear irritated and rude. I witnessed guests staying for the first time not knowing that the reception is on the first floor and with no one to greet them they were wandering aimlessly trying to figure how they check-in..I stayed in Monterey Hyatt just as California was fully opening a couple weeks ago and that property was amazing. The ANDAZ NYC, while it has its own share of problems, at least it is providing the guests in room refreshments in the absence of a restaurant. Hyatt corporate is making choices and they are choosing to forgo customer amenities at the Park NYC.My advise.. stay away...You will not get the experience one would expect from this class of property...and for the prices charged there are far more full service options out there. The star rating really needs to be reevaluated at this point.
Terrible customer services and poor managementI stayed here several times and experiences used to be great. But not this time. I am globalist with Hyatt and I can get upgrade including regular suite when I check in. I requested a suite upgrade and a junior suite is available. But the manager requested me to pay $100 for this complimentary upgrade. Long time ago I got corner 1 bed room suite upgrade complimentary here. Charging me $100 for complimentary upgrade is a violation of Hyatt globalist benefit.Second I ordered the room service breakfast (only option) and they promised me to deliver in 40 min, even after 1 hours 20min it was not delivered to my room. I missed my meeting because of this. After I complained to a manager, he said it takes another 20 min (already 11:40am) and he asked me if I need to cancel after waiting for 100 min! I think this is terrible thing for him to say to a customer waiting so long. After breakfast arrived, tomato confit is old, completely dried up and only two tiny pieces of asparagus. Food is terrible condition. This hotel needs a complete shake up of the management and staffs to meet customers’ min needs. Once trust is broken it cannot be made up easily. What a disappointing stay and a shame to park Hyatt name.
Remember that you’re paying for the location, not the hotel...maybe the pool. Overall, I’ll be honest this is not a $800 a night hotel, or even a $400 a night for that matter. We got to the hotel on the 9th of April, the hotel had only been open for less than 10 days following a COVID shutdown and we were met with a room that had staines on the floors (see pictures). On several occasions I went to the gym in the morning seeing that nothing had been picked up from the day prior (towels everywhere, empty bottles, dirty equipment). The pool is very nice though, and no complaints there, but overall I have no idea how they can charge people $800 a night for a room that is maybe worth $300 a night, especially since you won’t be getting a view of Central Park, or of downtown (buildings on both sides will block your view). If I were you, stay somewhere else, I know I will next time.
Overall a very nice and comfortable stay. Thought it wasn’t going to turn out well because it took them over an hour to get the room ready (check in time is at 4 but we waited until after 5) which was inconvenient after traveling and having to hold onto luggage. But besides that staff has been great, pool and fitness center are top notch. Please add some more trash cans around the hotel, however, spent time looking for one around the pool and in the hallways when I needed to throw something out while I was coming and going.
As a globalist , i do not recommend this hotel after COVID. Maybe it’s a great hotel before the COVID , but certainly not after. The service level will make you feel you entered a limited service hotel. Extreme short of staff. and Their management team does not even response to the survey after your stay. Actually this is the first time seeing some high end hotel does not reply to their survey. It is my first time visit park Hyatt New York. I have been to other park Hyatt. This one is not a park Hyatt to me. Be careful guys, do not let this hotel hurt your feeling when you enjoy your stay at NYC. TV
Great location. Right across the Russian Team room and Carnegie Hall and a block from Central Park.Like most Park Hyatts the lobby is on another floor. In this case the 3rd floor, which can be a bit annoying, first getting to the lobby and then taking another elevator down to the ground floor to the exit.Unfortunately, the spa was closed so couldnt experience that. The gym and indoor pool on the 25th are worth a visit. The service and hospitality are what you would expect of a five star hotel like this.
During our recent trip to the city we stayed at the Park Hyatt based on its location close to Central Park, MoMA, and other places we wanted to visit. Weve stayed with Hyatt many times in the past including those within their Park Hyatt portfolio and they never fail to impress me with their level of service and ease of making us feel at home. I have nothing but praise for the entire staff. We had a regular king room that lived up to its description and felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. We stayed on the 15th floor and it was very quiet and tranquil throughout the day. Overall cleanliness was on point, others who think otherwise may have just been unlucky. Our stay came just after Park Hyatt reopened during the pandemic after several months of closure, so it was understandable that some amenities were not available during our stay, such as the in-room snacks and goodies and the restaurant (though room service is available during certain hours). The fitness center and the salt water pool were indeed open though, which was very much welcome. The fitness center has great equipment, including Peloton bikes, a Lululemon Mirror, treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and free weights. Masks are required especially when others are around, and obviously equipment must be cleaned before and after each use. There are some pretty views of the skyline and Central Park as well. The pool requires reservations before using, so make sure to check in with guest services before putting on your swimsuit. There are plenty of dining options close by, including an alcohol store right nextdoor. Central Park is literal steps away, so an early morning jog through the park would definitely be easy to fit into the schedule. We are for sure looking forward to staying at Park Hyatt again, especially as more and more of the city begins to reopen.
We stayed here for New years Eve. It is an amazing hotel. Though the check-in process took so long while we waited for 30 mins to get our room, it was a lovely room. Initially, there was some smell of marijuana in the hallway during our check-in, but later I didnt notice that during our stay. Very spacious room. Excellent rain shower. The bed felt not so soft and had some trouble sleeping. Saltwater pool is a must, if you are staying here. Our bathtub didnt work, but once I let the hotel staff know, they were very quick to fix it. This hotel is very close to central park. We were easily able to see the fireworks just getting into the street from the hotel. Overall it is a great hotel.
We stayed here for my wifes birthday in May and had an exceptional experience. Definitely lives up to the Park Hyatt brand. Alyssa from the front desk, Chris at the front door, and Amanda, one of the concierges, all went above and beyond to make the weekend special. Thanks Park Hyatt New York!
It is one of the best hotels in midtown NY. Unlike other top-tier midtown hotels of an emphasis on the classic, PHNYC gives overall experiences of well thought out modern and very personalized. It is an elevated experience, but I was under an impression that Globalist tier did not much much difference unlike other Hyatt.
My husband, Father in law and I had an incredible experience. We got upgraded to a studio suite with my hubbys Globalist status and our room was lovely. The room service was amazing, the food was great. The staff were so sweet to my service dog, Nobu. Everyone knew his name and were kind and professional to all of us. We will definitely return next time we are in NYC! Weve stayed at many Hyatts and this was one of our favorites. Thanks for an amazing stay.
Absolutely incredible hotel with exquisite service. Although, we were here literally a week after visiting Hadahaa and still got sticker shock! Guess were just not used to NYC bar/food economics. We had an incredible stay and the staff doted on our kids, they loved it! Bartender was a great guy and poured stiff drinks. We loved the pool (although some of the guests were clearly not excited to see toddlers there) and I thought the gym was very well equipped with awesome views. We cant wait to go back!
This place is tremendous. From the second you walk in you are greeted by a very warm welcoming staff. We were checked in by Denise who is a true treasure to this hotel. She made sure we wanted for nothing, and even provided my 5 year old daughter with a bath robe her size which made her trip. The room was beautiful and the amenities were amazing. Such a great weekend trip!
We stayed using points for two days after Christmas - yup, as always, Hyatt is cool enough to let you book with points on prime weeks. Because of this, our rooms view was anything but spectacular...but, who cares? The rooms are clean and nice. Great bathrooms. Minibar prices are hilariously high. Service is great. If you want a good view for the same price, stay at the Essex House JW Marriott.Always love a HyattEdit: originally listed some tech/mechanical issues here, but Park Hyatt (Erik) reached out via email to take care of everything. Things like this are why Hyatt is the best.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The service was incredible. The staff was dedicated to ensure our every need was met. We asked for a fridge and a crib and they were brought up to us within 10 minutes. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower and soaking tub were so relaxing at the end of the day. I highly recommend.
Amazing hotel, centrally located and full of top tier amenities. I was impressed by the hotel. The room was great, but does show signs of wear and tear in shower area (rust). For $750 a night, service should be a little better honestly.I wasnt given instructions on how to use the elevator , kinda annoying. But overall the women at the check in desk had an attitude, that I thought was rude.
Well we booked a suite with king bed. Instead all they had for us was two small beds. The interior design is lacking and covered in hard surfaces. So any noise is heard clearly throughout the room. The sirens and traffic sounded as if we were on street level. It could be helped immensely if they had some soft decor that diffuses sound. The toilet flushing system gets stuck open after using it. The tiles and grout in the shower have cracks. The shower temperature system is difficult to figure out. Then theres the bar and restaurant down stairs. $74 for 1 piece of french toast and some coffee. Of which was mediocre at best.
The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the concierge is top notch and the room are fantastic. As simple as all that may sound the hotel does a great job at providing you with the very best of the best. Luxury sheets that are so soft you dont want to get out of bed, the 5 fixture bathroom is very spacious and can be very relaxing. The pool and gym are are top notch with a view over central park. Thank you for a great stay. The next time Im in new York Ill be back.
Very disappointed with this hotel. For a hotel that charges $1100 or more per night, they sure love to nickel and dime you.My wife called down to reception for “some water” in the middle of the day. No specifics, just wanted a few bottles of water...like what most hotels give you complimentary at check in.We get our bill this morning and, sure enough, there was a $100.40 charge for five bottles of water. One more time...one hundred dollars...for five bottles of water. We tried talking with two people about it and the “best they could do” was refund half of it.I never write reviews, but this has made me so unbelievably mad that I’ll never stay at one of their hotels again. We had no idea what the cost was, it was never told to us at any point, and no one seemed to care about how obviously frustrated we were. Unbelievable.
In overall we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The food was excellent also the room service was very good. We got excellent recommendations and reservations for restaurants in the city from the concierge service. There were a few things which were not good and I did not expect this from a 5 star and specially from a 5-diamond hotel. We had a very bad experience during the breakfast. The waiter was not polite, didn’t give us any water or coffee refill. Also this is first hotel we stayed in where you need to pay for a coffee refill. The waiter was very arrogant and gave us a feeling we bothered him when we asked for the check. Now we know they reason why the waiter don’t care about the service for breakfast, because the tip of 18% is already automatically included in the bill. No wonder he waiter did not care about the guest. This definitely needs to be improved. This service was not acceptable. The hotel apologized for this incident but still this was our first and last time we went here for breakfast. We had excellent service during the afternoon tea also the food was excellent.Once we asked for a bucket of ice for the wine we had in our room. Waited more than one hour and nobody came. We called again and asked for it.We asked twice to get some small items refilled in the bathroom, here the same we needed to ask twice to get it. The same also for espresso cups. Here the same needs to ask twice to get them.As already mentioned great hotel and we had great time over here but some items here and there can be improved.
Overall, an amazing stay which lived up to the expectations. In the details, the highlights were the quiet and large room, the amenities inside the room, the pool/steam room/jacuzzi, the amenities into the showers common to the pool and fitness (yes!), the relaxing bathtub with a Central Park partial view, the friendly and effective service (overall) and definitely the best concierge service we have ever experienced, the room service delicious, served perfectly hot and promptly. Also the afternoon tea is excellent and so much better than across the street at the Russian Tea Room. A few items would need some improvement / retraining (happy to give details if contacted). These items were more or less quickly corrected by the hotel to be fair: a more positive and engaging breakfast experience (service wise), a cross-check of the room after service to make sure the amenities are refilled (cups or ear tips), a better follow-up on some requests which had to be called for 2 or 3 times in some instances. These are all minor details which do not impact the overall experience at this flagship facility. I am definitely looking forward to stay at more Park Hyatt and just based on this stay, am considering switching gears from Hilton to Hyatt for my business stays.
We had a visit last Thanksgiving and it was awesome! The hotel located near central park, right on the route of Thanksgiving Parade. So we had a super nice breakfast, and went out to watch the parade, no need to wait early on the street in the chilly morning! It also close to everything. Great for family!
Excellent hotel, excellent service. Jeffrey, our bellman, became our friend during our visit. Traveling to New York with kids can be crazy. Jeffrey went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us during our stay.We have never had a bellman who took so much pride in his job. The level of customer service provided by Jeffrey was exceptional. We will be returning to the Park Hyatt.
Room 1003, got upgraded to suite which was great. Rooms are great. The electronic light and drapes controls can be annoying. Bathroom and toilet is VERY nice. Furniture is great, however rooms are not very kids friendly. Rug was slightly dirty/stained. TV channels were hard to navigate. Having water available was great. Service was top notchPool and pool locker rooms were quite the treat.
Besides the Ritz Hotel in Paris, this is one of my favourite hotels. This place does not have a soul like the Ritz but this hotel offers something pretty remarkable - clean air.The air is surprisingly pure. Most hotels require a window for fresh air. This one is different. Our method of hotel selection for this trip was different. We chose a selection of the highest rated hotels and on Google maps, looked at photos of each of the hotels. We chose this hotel based on cleanliness, clean lines, modern looks and ratings. So the clean air was a real plus. The service is certainly at the standard of a high end hotel. They gave us two apple pairs each day - nice touch.Overall, we were pretty happy with the place.
The indoor pool is awesome! There are great fitness and spa areas. The lounge area on the upper lobby level off the elevator has a decent (albeit a bit pricey) brunch. Rooms mostly have south facing views, not park views which are reserved for the higher floor residences. A great place to stay in midtown, Broadway theatres, Carnegie Hall, and steps from Central Park.
The staff were all incredibly friendly, even though we were staying on points. The location absolutely can NOT be beat for a quick city break. Our room was amazing (especially the tub) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room service was the only area where they dropped the ball (our dinner was over 30 minutes late and they never came to pick up the cart after we called Guest Services for removal). All in all we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Great location. Extremely friendly service with no issues. Beautiful room and upgraded. Obviously they charge an obscene price for everything ($8 for a can of coke?! $32 for an omelette?!) so we decided not to do room service or complete a spa visit. Was surprised and disappointed of lack of nice lounge while we waited for check-in.
This review is more for the Spa Nalai inside the Park Hyatt. I did a ton of research on the best luxury spa experience for couples, and decided on coming here. It was near perfect.... The facilities are first rate, and the quality/experience level of the masseuses were also excellent. You can always tell within the first 5 minutes of a massage how experienced the masseuse is... And ours didnt disappoint. We reserved the private couples suite which was a very nice massage suite with a large marble tub, shower for 2 (or 3...😌). The only other spa that comes close is the one at the Mandarin Oriental, but the Park Hyatt wins with a pool and hot tub facilities. Prices are accordingly rated.... After all, this is right in the heart of Billionaires Row..
This was the nicest hotel Ive ever stayed in, in my life. The customer service was excellent, the shower was heavenly (rain shower coming from the ceiling and a separate shower head that could be moved around), beautiful dosing tub in the room, TV embedded in the bathroom mirror, and complimentary Nespresso... not to mention, the midtown location was so convenient! While we didnt swim, we checked out the pool, which was also beautiful. Definitely a splurge, but if you have the money, Id recommend it wholeheartedly.
This was our second time staying at Park Hyatt and it was wonderful as usual. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We also used the gum, pool, whirlpool, and steam room. The lockers rooms are fully equipped so, you can forget everything except your swimsuit and still enjoy. They gym could use a few more free weights and leg machines, but was overall clean with good entertainment options while you workout. They also have bottled water readily available throughout the gym and pool area.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff! The rooms are very modern and well appointed (the heated floors in the bathrooms were a personal favorite). Great location too! (Only slightly negative thing is that the view from the rooms arent that spectacular, but the hotel itself makes up for that!)
Ill start with the only bad experience. Check-in was delayed for me by 45min and probably as long for several other guests. I imagine this was due to being short on staff over Thanksgiving weekend and not getting rooms ready in time. I needed to shower and change for a dinner so this caused delays and stress.Everything else was fantastic however. Location is great, being close to central park and next to the yellow line. Rooms were very quiet and peaceful. Exquisitely decorated and finished, every item and surface looks like quality and luxury. Very modern with the latest tech - I loved using the iPad thats in the room to order service. Concierge service was very helpful, and staff are excellently trained. Gym has excellent equipment, and pool is beautiful as well (about to try it). If it werent for the stress and delay during check-in, my overall experience would easily be a perfect 5/5.
Outstanding, the property itself is small but the rooms and the overall service makes up for it, the rooms are large, beds are extremely comfortable most importantly the service is exceptional, a special note and thank you to the concierge team probably the best I have encountered in the whole world and I travel half the year, they handled my numerous requests without any hesitation and with speed and genuine interest, the bell service staff and restaurant staff were extremely attentive as well. Great location right next to Central Park the only improvement required is from the housekeeping staff as any request took more than 25 mins. I love this property and I will be back.
Excellent Hotel. Ive never had such a nice hotel experience, from the time we we arrived to the time we left we were treated like the top priority of the staff. The common areas were extremely impressive and luxurious and the room was amazing. We arrived several hours prior to our check-in time, we were told to leave our bags and they would call when a room was available. I received a call less than an hour after, when we returned we found our bags lined neatly in the front hallway of our room. The room was about two times the size of a typical New York guest room and the bathroom was the best Ive seen. There were two vanities, a tub, shower, separate water closet and even a TV in the mirror. The shower was the best Ive ever taken, there was a traditional showerhead along with a rainfall head in the ceiling, additionally the floors of the bathroom were heated which was very nice. The whole room could be controlled from one of the several wall switches where you simply press a button to control lights and the privacy mode for the door. The curtains were fully electric and the furniture was extremely nice quality. The pictures do not do it justice, youll just have to go see for yourself.
Does not meet my expectation of a luxury hotel. No welcome gift. Found the greeting card for the previous guest in the room. Heard loud noise from connection door. No friendly greeting during check in. The tub was leaking water. The hotel better to care more details for guest if it does not have a good view of Central Park.
They charge $75 for roll away beds, $500 more for a room with a couch, and courtesy tip is expected every time you ask for something. You can not just have the items you need handed to you at the front desk. Their is no business center but they have a computer available for personal use. There is no breakfast included at this property either. On the flip side, the room was impressively clean, they provided dishes that we used, the bed was heavenly, the staff is very professional and kind as well.
I was here with a client shooting interviews for 2 days in a conference room. The hotel is beautiful and kept up very well. The staff was very accommodating and provided us both breakfast and lunch. They provided staff to move furniture and made sure we had fresh coffee and we were stocked with water and sodas. I didnt spend the night, but Im sure the rooms are nice. The rates are very expensive but its a Hyatt in NYC so that is pretty much expected.
Overall it’s a great hotel. The front desk and concierge people were nice and friendly. We were granted with early check-in and early check-out with our Hyatt membership. The fitness center, pool, and steam room were wonderful. Our room was clean and spacious, and the guest service delivered items to us fast when we asked for them. Le Labo bath products were provided in the room; they smelled so good. Why not five- star rating:1. When we left the hotel, we told the guest service on first floor that we would like to have a taxi to the airport. She said she would let the doorman know. We checked again with her after a few minutes and were told that the doorman was working on it. We waited for another five minutes, and decided to go walk out to see what was going on. We asked the doorman how long we would wait, and he said that he never got the request to stop a taxi for us. Really?2. On our reservation, it was clearly stated in Room Description, “spa inspired 5 fixture bath”. We did not have it in the room whatsoever.3. When we first arrived at the room, there was a greeting card on the table, from the hotel manager to a guest, thanks for his re-visiting. Of course it was not for me. Maybe the room was assigned wrongly to me while it was reserved for that gentleman? I gave the card back to the front desk and the agent apologized. Weird.
Amazing bar /lounge on the 3rd floor with live Jazz in the evening. The food is good, albeit expensive but its one of those elegant places you will remember always. The Barcode Architecture theme and exquisite marble is calming and pleasing.Service is discreet, professional and understated but thoroughly thought out.A special bar/lounge to visit on occasion, but if you can afford to splurge, then go for it. Wine list is incredible, however, you can enjoy a pot of tea or a beer in a living room set up and the gracious staff will treat you marvelously despite your small order.Definitely worth visiting if you love beautiful architecture, live jazz, great drinks and impeccable service.
The deluxe double was great. Best room Ive stayed in with nice beds and bathroom. The reason for 3 stars is for the house keeping service. We had to make multiple requests just to get extra towels and pillows. Being the category 7 hotel, I would have expected speedier services and not having to make 3-4 calls each time for an item.
The best hotel I’ve ever stay! Stunning building, amazing location, decoration is beautiful, excellent service, the best part is the spa and pool with jacuzzi, steam room, locker room, amazing showers and a beautiful swimming pool, you can hear music under water. The rooms are big, heated floors, good bed, impecable, really impressive service that make you feel good and important. This is place is not for everyone, sometimes rooms are over $800/night but the place is worth it ! Cant tell you how much we enjoy it !
Had a wonderful experience here! Stayed two nights and will definitely be staying again on my next trip to NYC. Location is great. Of course, theres way to many things to do in the city for a hotel to be convenient to everything, but Park Hyatt is fairly close to just about everything in Manhattan. Standard room was gorgeous. Marble for days and the bed was very comfortable. Our room had a great view of the city and Carnegie hall.Chris, the doorman, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made us feel very welcome, and made some fantastic recommendations on dining. The hotel car driver was very friendly as well. Extremely courteous and even gave us a fun pop quiz of the city during one of our rides! Johan at the bar was great too. Fun to watch as he is a very talented bar keeper, and very nice to talk to. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay. Location is hard to beat, the rooms are a great example of modern luxury, and the service was impeccable. Once you stay here, a normal hotel simply wont do!
Me and my boyfriend spent this past weekend in NYC for our Anniversary and he booked us this hotel, up on arrival we got upgraded into the suite and the staff was amazing! We loved our room, how attentive and friendly everyone was, great room service and bar and the bartender even have up complimentary drinks after overhearing us say it was our anniversary. Truly an amazing hotel so happy we chose this place to celebrate such a special occasion
Agree the room/amenities, facility, hotel location are all nice, brand-new featured. However this is not the five stars hotel. Because they are missing the pretty basics for hotel service. It was 4:20PM! when my room got available. Although their official check-in time is 3PM!! They are not following their commitment for the customer. It is not acceptable. Their management has a big issue. Im the elite membership but experienced same issue with another location before. Escalated it to hotel. But I had same issue again. I wont come back to Park Hyatt NY but also consider to move away from Hyatt.
We just spent a magnificent weekend at the Park Hyatt while attending my granddaughters wedding. Everything was impeccably wonderful. The service, the rooms, the food, the courtesy of all the employees, and their immediate response to all of your needs. The utmost in luxury. That being said may I be a bit picayune and make a small suggestion?Perhaps the showers should have a safety bar installed to accommodate the needs of your more senior visitors.
One of the best hotels in New York. The lobby and all public areas of the hotel are filled with art work, some of it commissioned for the hotel. The bedrooms are luxe without being over-the-top. Incredibly comfortable beds, deep baths and curtains that open and close at the touch of a button. Service is excellent - unobtrusive but attentive. Id gladly go back the next time I need to be in mid-town. The one thing that could use some work: the menu in the restaurant is a bit bland and ordinary.nice
Excellent hotel location, gorgeous room with comfortable bed. The suite is exquisite but lacking drawers in bathrooms and bedroom. Several staff members were excellent. Cost of number of points and cash plus taxes were not good value when compared to other Park Hyatt Hotels around the world. The indoor swimming pool is a very nice feature, especially during summer months in NYC.
Incredible stay at the Park Hyatt. What sets this luxury hotel apart from others is the concierge, understated, subtle elegance of the decor and amazing location. The staff hit just the right note between being personable and professional. They anticipated my needs and were always 1 step ahead of me, which was appreciated and noticed. The decor is luxurious but understated. Modern art, neutral colors, interesting patterns & fresh florals make you feel comfortable, yet refined. Its elegant but not at all tacky.I travel to the city often for leisure, and having the convenience of the NQRW trains steps away from the door to the Hyatt makes getting to many locations in the city effortless. This was my first stay at a Park Hyatt property and they made such a great impression, that I cant wait to try their other global properties, especially in Korea and Japan!
The pool facility in the top floor of the hotel is modern version of a Ro*** spa. As you walk inside, you are greeted with a kind smile and welcomed into their paradise. The staff was incredible from the valets/bell men to the front desk staff. Recommended for those looking for luxury and high end experience & amenities.
Stayed here using a free night reward from Hyatt, and had a great experience! Although it looks quite unassuming from the outside, the interior is very elegant. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is super nice! Conveniently located to two different subway lines so really easy to get around Manhattan. Also walking distance from Central Park and Times Square, but unfortunately there arent many views since the neighboring buildings get in the way... Also, theres an indoor pool located on the top floor that looked beautiful!
Outstanding hotel, great service, with the notable exception of the restaurant. If youre not one of the beautiful people, dont expect good service at the restaurant. The breakfast is tremendously overpriced, and the kitchen seems to be run by a person completely ignorant of food preparation. We ordered two English muffins to go, and they were brought out (after an unacceptable amount of time) with no butter or other spreads. So, five stars for the hotel, one star for the restaurant.
The hotel itself is one of the newer and thus nicer high end hotels in Manhattan. However while they bill themselves as a 5 star hotel and charge accordingly, no one at the hotel provided 5 star level service. Granted, my experience in NYC in general is the most people are more rude, but in any event, you expect an oasis of civility and friendly smiles in any part of the world if you are in a true 5 star hotel. It seems the friendliest people here were the doorman and bellhop. The reception and concierge were particularly shocking, not because they were rude or anything, but because its arranged such that you parade past the entire reception counter and concierge desks en route to your room, but unlike what you would expect in a high end hotel, there isnt a chorus of welcomes and salutations or even a Good morning, but simply either a silent glance, a blank faced stare, or maybe they will just ignore you. Its really awkward due to the narrow path that you have to parade through and being from a friendlier part of the world, I almost felt obliged to initiate with a Hello. I certainly dont expect a Tokyo Ginza Shangri-la deep bow as your elevator closes, but at least a friendly Good afternoon sir.. should be expected. The highlight of this hotel really is the little but well laid out fitness center. The suite walk in shower has good pressure and is large. But for a new hotel it feels like its wearing down pretty fast. The housekeeping is okay but lacks the crisp and immaculate touch that you expect in the high end hotels or the excellent turn-down with chocolates. It was a good 4 star hotel, an aspiring 4.5 star, but a poor 5 star hotel... To be fair, I also stayed at the Ritz and Mandarin, and although better than the Park Hyatt, were also substandard compared to other 5 star hotels around the world.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. Did I like the fact that I got the lowest floor assigned despite my profile showing a preference for high floors. I guess most of the guests were from out of town and they were too busy checking out our wonderful city. Worth every penny.
I very much enjoyed our stay! The staff was exceedingly polite and friendly and gave me the impression that they treat all of their clientele the same way regardless of celebrity status. Our room was quite nice, and the hotel was convenient to Central Park and surrounding areas.
The one thing that could use some work: the menu in the restaurant is a bit bland and ordinary.
This hotel was fantastic in all respects! I wasnt sure what to expect, but from the time I pulled up to the curb to the time I left, everything was great. They are helpful in many ways I had not imagined. They even walked us to the room! I am not used to a 5 star hotel, but as such I had high expectations and they were all exceeded. If you stay here, definitely try the breakfast. The food and service at the restaurant were top notch as well.
The hotel itself was very well kept and nice. The employees were very helpful when I got lost, multiple times. And they also treated and talked to you good, like friends. The door man was nice and gave me a bottle of water as I was leaving the building because it was a scorcher outside.
Stay here and at the St Regis while on our trip. PH blew SR out of the water. Rooms were very spacious and the staff was great. We were traveling with our 3 year old daughter and they went out of their way to make sure she was welcome. Absolutely beautiful pool area. The views are amazing and the pool is a decent size for being in the middle of a building in New York City. We will definitely be staying at the Park Hyatt again when we return to NYC.
First time at NYC Park Hyatt. Amazing service, spacious room with large bathroom! Contemporary looking hotel lobby and rooms. The room is up to date with technology- was able to cast YouTube to their TV from my mobile phone. Nice fitness center. Though the indoor pool was a bit disappointing compared to Ritz Carlton HK.Being an introvert, the staffs were too friendly for me- always greeting me and my guest. At least that is better than being rude.
Recently stayed at the Park Hyatt from Friday to Sunday, the hotel itself is beautiful. The architecture is beyond amazing, the living room area is very pretty, the marble finishes are elegant, but it lacks many things that would have made it an excellent hotel--attention to detail, service...The hotel at first glance looks clean but in reality it is not. The floors are light so one could easily miss how dirty it actually can be. I was so disappointment in how dirty the floor were to the point that I grabbed a wet towel to see how dirty it was. Beyond level of cleanliness, the hotel lacked attention to detail. The second day of our stay we only had one towel, no hand towels were left, no shampoo, conditioner was left. We went to the hotel library to have coffee and were sat down fast but our service was slow. We didnt get service until several sometime later. It was not because it was busy. Also noticed that the table next to us, though empty was not bused...it took a while for it to be cleaned. Ordered room service and the food was just ok, had a cuban sandwich and the meat was too gamey lacked flavor. Overall I would not recommend as it is not worth the price.
Elegant, stylish hotel, that is marvelously quiet everywhere -- in the rooms, in the lobby, in the restaurant. Wonderful deep bathtubs with bath salts, large fitness center, phenomenal pool, spa, and sauna. The restaurant serves excellent food and a cappuccino equal to the kind you can get in Italy (which is to say its much better than what you get in most American coffee shops). The staff are friendly and efficient. I would go again and again.
Staying here now. Nice sized rooms/suites. Very modern. Nice staff. Had one meal and it was really good. Today, I had lunch. They need to retrain the chefs. Tongue is burning from the lowed salt bath I just ate. You cant be 5-star and serve food like this. Looks like a one shot visit for me. Back to Ritz next trip.
Such a great hotel with an amazing spa. Their rooms are spacious and large. The service is impeccable and the location is absolutely perfect for shopping. The hotel is also steps away from Central Park. Dont miss the Spa Nalai at the hotel... one of the best I have experienced in the city!
This Hotel was Amazing. Not only is everything about the hotel beautiful, but the people are superb. I had the absolute best massage Ive ever had in the spa and received excellent advise from the Concierge every time we asked. The reason I am writing this review, though, is because Im stupid and left my engagement ring in the room as we headed for the airport. I realized it about 5 min from the airport and there was just no turning back. I spoke with security who quickly ran up to the room and found the ring. They had it FedExed to me before my flight even took off and I had it on my hand by 10am the next day. I truly feel like they went out of their way and really didnt have to. We didnt have the Penthouse suite. We were just regular customers, and they understood my crisis and made it their job to get me back my most prized possession. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I will ABSOLUTLEY be booking with them again.
We stayed for our honeymoon. They had an available upgrade, and comped us for the occasion. Our deluxe king room was incredible in both amenities and cleanliness, but the service was over the top. Every member of the staff would greet you with a smile and give you their name in case you needed anything at all. On our trip, a door man named Mamadu was an asset in making our stay easy and fun. He saw to it that we had a ride to all of our appointments. Additionally, the Concierge is cross-keys and excellent.
One of the best luxury hotels in NYC! One bedroom suite included heated floors in the bathroom, a TV inside the bathroom mirror, theres a large office desk, a couch, lots of closet space, and room service will serve anything at any hour. The gym and swimming pool were huge. The lounge next to the lobby was beautifully decorated. My friend left his watch and a month after our stay, they still had it. Great service and an amazing building.
I stayed at this hotel in 2017. The service was amazing but house car was unavailable at times. Is it possible to have the car more available? Also, is it possible to upgrade the car? St. Regis uses a Bentley. I recommend something of that level. Please update this as I will be traveling to the hotel in November 2019.Thanks!
From when you walk in you know your at a 5 star hotel the service from the door is amazing. they greet you and ask you your name and then radio up to the lobby your info and then escort you to the lobby so by the time you get there you are checked in. The lobby area is magnificent and huge it has a bar and A restaurant and a lounge area. The room was the deluxe king with a massive king bed and nice size ESP for NYC room the bathroom has a shower that fits 12 and a massive tub with a window looking out to the parkAll the fixtures and shades are controlled by buttons on the wallsThe pool is gorgeous has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. great hot tub and steam room it is worth it too stay here just for the poolThey have a Mercedes s550 on call to take you anywhere within 10 blocks it was convenient in d mooring to get a ride to Cafe for breakfast10/10 coming back
Park Hyatt is my favorite hotel in New York! The location is excellent which is walking distance to 5th Avenue, Central Park, Madison Avenue with tons of high end shops and restaurants! The hotel is very modern, new, and cleaned to detailed. Beautiful indoor pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. The food at the restaurant was great especially the steak. All staff are helpful, friendly, and professional! This hotel has great management under the hotel manager, Mr. Alpan Keskin. He is one of the best 5 star hotel manager that I ever met and I have traveled all over the world and stayed at numerous luxury hotels. Mr. Keskin really makes you feel important and special. He would really go out of his way to fulfill guest’s need. I will always stay at this hotel when I am in New York. Highly recommend!
Just recently had my fourth stay here at Park Hyatt New York for a friends birthday. While we had some issues with confirming my reservation (rude associate on telephone while confirming reservation, unreceptive/unfriendly manager), the stay itself as always was exceptional. Upgrade was offered upon arrival in agreement with Hotel Loyalty Program(s), amenities were offered as well in celebration of friends birthday. We stayed in the double studio suite this time around. It had amazing views of 58th and Carnegie Hall, beautiful appointments and all the expected amenities of a 5 star hotel. Turn down service is thorough and discreet. One downside is that the hotels restaurant, Bevy, recently closed. Apparently, its being turned into a banquet and meeting space for events. This showed in the food for there was an utter lack of direction and focus. While not terrible, it was less memorable than previous stays and ultimately just plain bland. I really hope they find another chef to head up a new restaurant as a five star hotel without a flagship restaurant is simply incomplete. All in all, still worth it for location, quality of stay, service and amenities. Just make sure you email Guest Relations directly before check in to ensure a smooth stay!
Disclaimer: I dont usually stay at $1K+ hotels. I used Chase points for 2 free nights. It was great to have so much space and comfort in the middle of NYC. Staff were all great and this hotel helped make for a great weekend in NYC. We took advantage of the free bikes and biked central park. Did not eat or drink in the hotel. We took advantage of the gym and pool, both of which are very nice.
I arrived at 2:30 to check in. I know my check in time is 3 oclock. So, I am fine with waiting in lobby. As you can see in the pic, I have a baby with me, and lobby restroom does not have the changing table. I asked the worker whether I can change my babys diaper other place in this hotel, their answers are the same, which is NO. Since this hotel location is pretty good, I decided to look around this hotel. After changing my babys diaper at Starbucks right in front of this hotel, I came back hotel around 4 oclock, and front desk told me MY ROOM IS NOT READY! I have to wait there for another 1 hour. What an awful service! Don’t book this hotel.
The best Hyatt Hotel in the entire New York state. This hotel is elegant, gorgeous, and beautiful. From the moment of entering this property to checking out, we never had any negative experience. Pool is beautiful, room is very modern, and the location is well-located.
Perfect location a couple blocks from Central Park. Gorgeous rooms, but a little short of drawers for clothes. A fantastic grocery store across the street with fresh sandwiches and sweets as well as regular basics. Russian Tea Room and Carnegie Hall also across the street. Staff is excellent and service quick. They offer a free car service for nearby (about 5 blocks) spots.
Not 5*This hotel is relatively new, just opposite Carnegie Hall and in great location. There is an extensive art collection throughout the property and the fittings in the room are of good quality. There is an excellent swimming pool on the top floor and they play beautiful classical music in the lobby, pool etcSo why 3* and not 5?1) many of the staff is not well trained - they certainly have an attitude2) they are not thinking on their feet at all, we almost missed our flight because they simply made us wait without telling us or the driver3) if there is anything beyond their trained capability, they make zero effort to deliver4) the rooms are very very noisy. In a new property like this, of that class, one would expect noise cancelling windows (clearly not the case)5) the coffee machine broke in our room, I called 3 times to get it fixed, with confirmation somebody would come, but unfortunately that never happened. Took them a full 24h (next day housekeeping) to get it organized6) the person in the room next to use was smoking, we told that but they didnt care, it happened not only once but permanently during the stayI hope management reads this and does something about it. It was only a 48 stay... the list would probably be longer had we stayed a week!
I think the staff at this hotel were some of the best I have ever experienced. Despite the minimalist design of the hotel not being exactly to my taste, I did think that it was stylish and refined.I would recommend this hotel to those of you who like that type of design.
The hotel is nice but... the people at the main desk should know their facts!!! They had told us that the pool would be open all night however, after a long day we came back to our room to find out the pool had closed two hours ago at 9:00. And when we had called and said that the pools lights and functions were all still in use they still refused to let us use it! Rediculous.
Stayed for a weekend. Awesome service. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I couldnt get the nespresso machine to work and someone came right up to show me. The bathroom was amazing. There was a tv in the mirror! The gym was big with complimentary ear buds. The pool was nice although not heated. Jacuzzi was great. The place is decorated beautifully. Complimentary wifi and bottled water. The only complaint is parking is $65/ day but thats ny for you. It is also in a great location. 10 minute walk to times square, Rockefeller center, st patricks. Across from Carnegie hall. Subway station right there to go to little italy, Chinatown, 9/11 memorial. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Everything was great except an accidental fire alarm at the night, almost midnight. The hotel announced all guests move to the lobby; so I and my two babies, 3y and 6y ran down to the lobby. At the moment, fire fighters came to the hotel and inspected, and confirmed that the fire alarm was in an error. What I made stuck was that the hotel did not fully explain about the mis-fire alarm. We could not believe the hotel system, so my wife did not sleep well at the night. I would like point that the hotel did not carefully handled about fire issues. Did you forget the big fire in London few days ago? It was very disappointing. I made the complaint to the hotel front desk, but she just said Sorry, do you want get some drink for babies? This was even made me more disappointed.
This place was both the nicest and most expensive place Ive stayed at. The rooms are big, beds are comfortable, couches are nice, and theres lots of uncommon amenities. You can enjoy heated tiles in the bathroom, a weid, complicated Japanese toilet, a ceiling shower (huge bathtub too), iPad with music and 5.1 sound.Basically, if youre rich this is probably your jam. If youre not, its going to hurt the wallet and not be worth it.
A beautiful hotel, staff with professionals that cover everything from the drinks at the bar to the coat check. While there arent too many places for you to plug in in the lobby or event spaces, I suspect they could probably help you set it up if you asked during the event planning phase. Note that WiFi is a little bit limited, its not nearly as fast and some ports might be blocked, to support some of the more bandwidth hungry work applications. Although YouTube seemed to work.
This hotel is elegant with a modern contemporary design. The restrooms are the type where each toilet has its own sink and vanity. The event space on the second floor is comprised of several small rooms with connecting doorways. I would have preferred a wide open space where I could see everything instead constantly maneuvering between rooms, furniture and people.
Best place to stay but cost wise, I am not sure. Yes luxury will with its cost. The room was really spacious, compared to NYC standards. TV engraved in the mirror was really outstanding. You can enjoy the TV in the bathroom sink. IPAD, Working desk, spacious bed and courteous people to take good care of you.
Do not valet your car here. My 9 day old Tesla was totaled when the hotel farmed out parking to a third party Icon Parking Garage. The hotel refused to take responsibility and did not inform me until the following morning after the crime scene was adulterated; prohibiting a police report.
Service was excellent across the board, from the bar to housekeeping, to the front desk and our host, Mina. Even our driver made our trip to Del Friscos one we wont be forgetting anytime soon! He was a true gem; its a shame we didnt catch his name. Although we preferred our room and amenities at the Arias SkySuites more, the service at Park Hyatt was the best weve ever had, no doubt about it. Thank you for exceeding our expectations and making our vacation one to remember.
For a premium hotel near billionaires row in mid town Manhattan that only opened a short time ago, it already shows signs of wear and tear (which is very surprising) and the automation controls for lights and rapes in the room worked only part of the time, which was very frustrating. Considering the price and location I would recommend staying somewhere that has been better maintained and is in better condition than this hotel considering the price.
Rooms are great of course. In room services are amazing. There is an iPad in the room where you can get room service and order other housekeeping type services. Very large tub with big window view. Great desk with all types of connectivity options. Wifi also works well.
1.very impolite housekeeping staff: yesterday afternoon about 6pm, first we hear continuous impatient door bell press, and then hear loudly knock at our door. I thought it be some emergency, but when we ask who is that? the answer is housekeeping , an just to ask whether need do some preparation before sleep, and ask if we need extra water.Who gave you the training so that you could knock on the guests door like this? Who gives you the courage to press the doorbell so rudely?2. i stayed in many 5 star hotels but none of.them will just put the slippers in the cabinet after first day use. normally they are just put beside the bed. But here i spent mote than 5 minutes cannot find them after whole day leaving hotel to walk and stay outside. What we need most is take a good shower with slippers wear in room, but cannot find easily.and also all the bath gel and shampoo didnt replace and didnt give new ones, we stay three days there but didnt give new supply of.those things. Can you be more stingy?
This was an awesome place to stay, once we got there. Out cab driver from the airport in Newark first took us to a different Hyatt, when wed been VERY clear where we wanted to go, and there was a paper from the desk where you arrange ground transportation there, which specifically indicated THIS hotel. I usually pay for a taxi with plastic, but this time I used cash, and refused to pay more than the pre-agreed price, and with no tip, and no additional fee for using the Holland Tunnel, which seems to be a common taxi trick to rip off tourists. I digress. We loved the hotel, and our rooms were awesome. The boys, Waggy & Piggleton, were right at home, and hotel staff brought them a special treat every day, and twice on one of those days. Would definitely stay here again, but we like to stay in hotels close to the restaurants where we plan to eat - saves money, and saves gas for traveling in the city.
Extraordinary Services! Spacious and Comfortable Suites! Majestic Views! Luxurious Rain Shower Room! Excellent Wifi and Bluetooth accessibility! Incredible Gym! Delicious Late Night Bites and Drinks at Their Living Room! Wonderful Room Service! Extraordinary Spa! Fabulous Location in Walking to Central Park, Broadway, and 5th Avenue! Simply Magnificent!
You have to stay at the incredibly swanky 5 star Park Hyatt and if given the chance, do upgrade to the West Side Suite overlooking Carnegie Hall and the Russian Tea Room... The Park Hyatt New York property is the flagship location of the Hyatt brand, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. Youll be completely blown away... it is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in NYC thus far... have a marvelous stay you all!!
I would not stay at this hotel again. We were never offered help with our bags. FYI I am pregnant and it is obvious that I am. Even had a gentleman walk right by us and ask the lady behind us if she needed help with her 1 bag. We had four total bags. I kinda felt like it was ignore the pregnant woman and man. When there is a pretty lady I can help. Then comes the bathtub issue. There was some what looked like pubic hair in it and on the back wall. Ewww! Next time I will try the Grand out.
It was nice. Heated floors arent adjustable. Light under the mini bar was too bright. tv in bathroom was too small and the remote didnt work well. No tv in watering closet. The HDMI port didnt work. Several outlets didnt work. You need to take two elevators to get to your room. The tv interface is terrible. The tv pivoted but didnt rotate towards the bed.Overall not fantastic but very affordable at 900 a night.
Lovely upscale hotel. Everything done right here... from beautifully appointed rooms to attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Also a great location being just steps from Central Park and the Time Warner Centerand a short walk to the Broadway theaters and Times Square.
Strikingly well designed bedroom/bathrooms and small lobby/dining area. Nice helpful staff.Excellent concierge (Michael). But seemingly poor management. Although the room rate including taxes was just under $1,000 a day no one from reception showed us to our room nor explained the many high tech features...... which immediately led to our being stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes trying to figure out in the designer-gloom how the secure key card swipe system worked. Our first room on the 10th floor was spacious and attractive but as we realised the following morning opened on to a very close-by grubby-looking building with consequently very little natural light - impossible to gauge what the outside weather might be.....snowing?. Reception helpfully showed us a much smaller room on the 15th floor with good natural light (at the same just one $1,000 a day room rate. Expensive for the size). The actual room move was a stressful disaster - the hotel gave the impression that this was not something they had ever done before. One nice helpful hotel staff member showed up for the move with a mobile clothes hangar rack and nothing else......no containers, boxes to take all our unpacked items and no way to take all our cases. My wife and I therefore helped him in physically making the move to our new room. And there we and the clothes rack and our cases and all our other unpacked possessions waited in the corridor outside the new room for 20 mins before someone turned up with a new key card to actually let us in the room. The excuse offered was that the hotel was busy...... a placatory bottle of wine was sent to us. But frankly at near $ !,000 a night for a hotel that is not in a prime location and is apparently understaffed - this is not good value.
Amazing five star hotel experience for our first trip to NYC. Located a block south of Central Park made it easy to walk anywhere we wanted and only half a block from the Metro 57 St station. Staff was courteous and the complimentary house car (10 block radius) was nice for the nights you don’t want to walk!
Just stayed here for a two night getaway to NYC with the wife. We were quite pleased. The hotel as a whole has a quiet, muted modern luxury feel; nothing guilded and over the top. We received a room upgrade as part of the world of Hyatt membership. The room was large and overlooked Carnegie Hall on 57th. We were situated on the 19th floor but still heard street noise (turn on your white noise app - worth a good nights sleep). We availed ourselves of the Bang & Olfson Bluetooth speaker which was as high end as weve found in a hotel. Beds were fine, nothing remarkable. The one true knock we had on our entire stay was the strange stain on the headboard we didnt want to think too much about. Bathroom and its small touches made the room special. Incredible rain shower and simply a huge bathroom overall. Pool and gym area are bright and beautiful. Use them! We did encounter a rainy day and the Park Hyatt does have good quality umbrellas for the taking. We made use of the house car for short trips (Mercedes SUV) as well. Nice touch! Very special mention to doormen Christopher and Tony for their professionalism and cheer. The staff in general are at the top of their game but they went above and beyond. Hope to be back very soon.
Christopher, Jeff and Roshni made our stay memorable. I personally think it’s a nice touch when there is someone introducing himor herself at check-in or the welcome card is identifying a person that can be contacted throughout the stay. Carnegie Hall is right across and a great view from the hotel.
Just before a special-event weekend in New York, I found out that my reservation at Park Hyatt hadnt been properly booked with my Gold Passport awards—and no rooms were available. After speaking with Gold Passport customer service (and a day spent fretting about the missed chance to stay at this new property), PHs rooms manager, Andrew, called to let me know that the reservation had been fixed and my room was properly booked. The service I received from Andrew and the Hyatt team were really remarkable and kept a very special trip intact. Im very grateful to them and hope the general manager at PH knows what an asset Andrew is for ensuring their visitors have a fantastic experience.Thank you, Andrew!
Near the park, subway, Carnegie hall. Walkable to tons of activities and food options. Service is detailed and predictive. The front desk staff is great (Thank You Theresa!!), and at every turn, Im being attended to in some way. For someone not used to this much service and attention, it can be a little uncomfortable at first, but something I could get used to. The deluxe king has a big soaking tub, rainfall shower thats illuminated, leaving a trippy shadow for cascading drops of water, and heated floors in the bathroom. The suite adds an automated toto toilet with bidet that is fancier than the ones I encountered in Japan, as well as a second half bath / powder room. Both come with power everything for the lights and shades, asian pears, water, tea and nespresso coffee, a stocked minibar, and staff at your beck and call via phone or in room ipad. This is, without a doubt, the best hotel (and hotel experience) i have ever enjoyed. A memorable experience that I was very lucky to have experienced.
The best and responsible priced hotel on the island! Always ask for La-Toya she is truly and amazing person and always takes care of us. She always puts in a special felling that makes you feel like your right at home or at your very rich Uncles place. Anyway do try it its amazing.

2022-05-09I loved this hotel. From the service to the cleanliness, everything was perfect. The steam room was everything I needed and the heated pool was also a nice touch. The doorman (I forgot his name) and Omar from the guest services were also champs and took care of our every need. The breakfast was delicious and prompt to our room every morning and the chauffeur for the house Mercedes G class was also very nice and accommodating, he turned out to be from the same city I was born, Giza Egypt so I felt at home talking with him. I will definitely be back. Thanks Park Hyatt team for making this experience worth it.

2022-06-02Perfect experience, feels like old school NYC luxury, but rooms and decor is modern. Amazing staff, very helpful and attentive. When it was raining, I was received by doorstaff with an umbrella - tiny things like this made the experience so top notch. Rooms are beautiful.Stayed in a suite day one, then came back a few days later and stayed in an upgraded room.

2022-02-04This place is a 5 star facility with 3 star service, at best.No valet present when we arrived and no assistance from valet while we struggled with kids luggage as we left. The level of service here is NOT the go the extra step you would experience at most 5 star hotels in Manhattan.Understaffed by staff who pretty consistently seem annoyed to be there, are often on the phone, and offer just the most basic support when approached. The pool was closed and the Hyatt arranged for guests to swim at the peninsula. Our short visit to the Peninsula to use the pool highlighted the sharp contrast in service levels between the two hotels.Great if you are traveling alone and just want a nice room but no service. Seriously, if you are looking for a hotel with great service, skip the Park Hyatt or youll be sorely disappointed.

2022-04-12Stayed here at the end of March for one night in a long weekend of celebrating my birthday. Staff was very acknowledging of my birthday and there was a card and a mini cake waiting for me in my room. They recognized my globalist status and gave me an upgraded room on a higher floor with a few of Carnegie Hall. Room service breakfast was great, so was the hot tub / pool, and the fitness center. They have a Mercedes that will take you up to 10 blocks away for free (if available). They were slow when I visited so the driver actually took me a mile and a half away without any issue.I’m knocking off a star since I had late checkout of 4pm out on my room when I checked in, but my key was shut off when I tried to access the room at 3:50pm. I had to go get the key reactivated, but it still didn’t work, so they sent one of the front desk agents to accompany me to my room to let me in so I could check out. Despite this, and the under stocked mini bar, this was a great hotel

2022-04-20Nice hotel. The staff is attentive. Got an “upgrade” didn’t exactly ask for but was very sweet of them to do so. Loved the room, bathroom, amenities. Always appreciate the service when in the hospitality industry. Thanks!

2021-11-22This hotel was amazing . We had such a lovely stay. The staff were so attentive , professional , and accommodating . My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We were surprised with fruit & chocolate strawberries with gold flakes! The presentation was beautiful & so thoughtful. The showers had great pressure & the place is very clean. Our requests were attended to in a timely fashion. The gym, hot tub with jets, and pool were a plus. We will be back, Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

2022-02-02Kristen at the front desk is absolutely fabulous. She handled a few very difficult situations for us with class and calm. She was able to provide the best customer service I have had at any of the hotels I have stayed at. She will be the reason we keep coming back and making this our go-to hotel.

2022-05-15I stayed here February 18th-20th, 2022. The hotels physical characteristics are wonderful - modern, luxurious rooms with the best furnishing Ive experienced in a hotel to date. The soaking tub and the rainfall shower were amazing. The decor was unmatched for both the room and the overall hotel.Breakfast was excellent and service at breakfast was attentive and pleasant.Location cannot be beat - it is situated on the edge of Central Park.I personally marked it down to three stars because for me, a hotels physical characteristics are less important than the hotels service and front desk service was somewhat poor. Upon arrival, there was no attendant to show me to reception - it is not a problem if youve been there before, but I dont expect to wander around for five minutes figuring out how to get to reception in a luxury hotel.Additionally, some toiletries were missing from the room and when I requested those from the front desk, I was told to check again. I checked again where they should have been and they werent there, so I called and they were provided the second time around. I believe the room should have either been stocked with them or they should have provided them to me the first time that I asked instead of implying that I probably just didnt find it.These issues would have been less of an issue at a hotel that is not advertised as a splurge with the motto Luxury is Personal - there was little personal about those interactions. The hotel emailed me a survey link after my stay, which I filled out with these concerns, but never received a response to. Also quite impersonal. Those three interactions contributed to a feeling that the hotel staff does not actually care about your stay and that they just expect you to satisfied with the physical property. If that is you, I recommend this hotel. If you care about personal connection, which is what really cements memories for me, I do not recommend staying here.

2022-04-13Excellent location, close to the Central Park, shops, restaurants and museums. Room was large with ample storage, big bathroom area with freestanding tub, and a generously large shower room with amazing high pressure shower heads. Our room was on the 8th floor with view of brick walls, which was very disappointing. The bathroom ceiling had yellow marks of leaks that didn’t fit the hotel’s status. TV remote did not work, which meant we were unable to steam. Housekeepers and turn down service staff were very attentive. As we were repacking to leave on our last day, I found a pair of underwear which I assume belonged to previous guest in this room. This was a totally gross experience. If we ever go back it’ll be because of that magnificent shower!

2022-04-04Oh how much I looked forward to our stay here and I was very disappointed.Positive things first. The cleaning lady! Oh what a delightful person!!! She was so friendly when we met her for turndown service and the next day when we left a tip she wrote a personal thank you note! What a nice touch! Bless her heart! Now the negative: the bathtub looked absolutely disgusting. Which was not because it was dirty but because it was worn down! Our view was terrible, but we stayed in the „cheapest“ room so that’s for on us for only paying 900$ a night. The pool looks quite impressive in pictures but in reality it is actually quite small. The fitness center however is very impressive. They have the finest equipment- one could basically spent their whole day there. The rooms are so so sooo noisy. It was as if there was a subway going every two minutes right inside our room. When our neighbors opened their wardrobe it was as if they were right inside our very own room. I have to admit I am very sensitive when it comes to noise but even my husband, who could sleep while the world would go down, said it is very noisy in the room. The hotel restaurant also treated us very poorly which has basically ruined my experience in this hotel.I will never book it again and I wouldn’t recommend it. Just go spend the extra bucks and go to the mandarin oriental. Or any other 5 star hotel. This one is pretentious and not worth the money.
