We could not be more impressed with this office. From start to finish the entire experience is nothing but seamless. This team of professionals are truly above and beyond what it means to be amazing- thank you to Dr. Rima and the whole Park View team, you are all exceptional and so appreciated.
First visit for my three year old went great. I have to say that Liz was amazing in the front office getting us prepared for our visit. She suggested books and videos to show my son prior to our visit and that really helped prepare him for success. My son enjoyed the play items in the lobby and watching Moana in the office. Dr. Rima was sweet with my son and very complete in her look through his mouth. The only thing I would warn parents about is that in the video of the dentists office on their website it shows the kid leaving with a park view goody bag and bear and so my son thought he would get one of those so just to prepare your little one. He left with a fun new tooth brush, toothpaste, kids floss and a small toy but he had gotten that bear in his mind. A truly wonderful visit.
The best pediatric dentist in the world! Dr. Chen and the whole office rocks.. my daughter loves going to the dentist.. she likes to use the giant play toothbrushes to brush the stuff animal teeth .. she likes to watch a show while her mouth is being cleaned.. and playing with the games in the waiting room.. The office is clean and bright and the staff could not be nicer. Highly recommend Park View!
Ive been visiting Park View Pediatric Dentistry since I was a child and now my son is a regular patient. My teeth are in great shape because of my regular visits to this office and the diligent work by the many dentists and assistants that Ive seen in the last 20+ years. The front desk is professional and they do very well with working with my schedule to give me the most convenient appointment available. Park View is the only place Ill bring my kids, no question.
Me and my sister have been going to Park View Pediatric Dentistry since we were little. We are always amazed at how friendly and welcoming the staff are. Especially our hygienist Jenny! She always makes the experience quick and painless. She has a lot of patients dealing with kids. Everything is examined thoroughly and we always go home with an amazing smile ! The office is very highly equipped with the latest technology and the best thing is that Netflix is always playing in the rooms! I would highly recommend to bring your kids to Dr. Pilla so that they can the best experience and prevent them from having fears of going to the dentist as adults.
Dr Rima and the staff at park view pediatric dentistry are truly amazing. They have helped make my son with special needs not be scared of going to dentist - he even enjoys it and talks about Dr Rima after each visit. The entire office is warm and welcoming . Wish I found them sooner .
Love these dentists, orthodontists, hygienists and staff! They are all like a part of the family and my girls truly love seeing them. One dentist after another amazes us with patience and kindness! Even scary procedures like a filling or tooth removal is done with the utmost care to insure the child is calm and happy. These are special people!
I have taken both of my toddlers to this office and I can not recommend them enough. The waiting area is colorful and playful. The room where the treatments are done are bright and joyful. There is even a TV playing Netflix above head to keep my little ones distracted. My daughter loves coming here and getting an ice pop at the end and my son just loves to run up and down the halls where they have colored lines! A great office from beginning to end.
Ive been coming to Park Avenue Pediatric Dentistry my whole life. I always had an amazing experience with Dr. Pilla , Dr.chin ,Dr lambert , Dr Zimmerman . They always made me feel comfortable and at ease with every procedure that I needed done for my teeth. My 6 year old daughter now comes to the office and just loves the staff and the office vibes . She just had her first cavity filled and I was so nervous for her but she took it like a champ. She was very taken cared of and I felt like the staff treated her as their own. She gets very excited every time its her time to visit the dentist . Thankyou for all that you guys do. We just love coming to your office .
I had the pleasure of bringing my 2 y/o daughter to the Dentist here at Park View earlier this week and I was more than impressed. I first met with the hygienist Anaika (Who was awesomely amazing) who went over the dos and donts with me and then came in Dr. Rima Parikh. My daughter doesnt particularly like white coats so I asked that she not wear it and they were happy to accommodate us (Not that it made a difference). She was gentle, she was soft spoken but shes serious about your childs teeth. After the visit my daughter was a new person and even I was shocked at how quickly she opened up or at all. With that being said, That was the most comfortable Ive seen my daughter in a clinical setting. Dr. Rima is awesome and I am recommending her to any parent thats looking for a dental comfort zone for their child. Im tagging it as the Crème de la Crème of Pediatric DentistsP.S. Thank you to Jalisa for jumping through hoops with me to get Carrington that appointment
We took our son to see Dr. Chin for his first dentist appointment. Dr. Chin made our son feel comfortable and safe. From the moment she first met him in the waiting room, to the time she said goodbye, Dr. Chin treated him with the upmost care and compassion. Several weeks later our son is still asking when he can go see Dr. Chin again.Dr. Chin also thoughtfully guided us on how to help our son build strong dental habits. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist
Going to the dentist has always been a joyful experience for me and Ive gone to the same incredible pediatric dentist, Dr. Deborah Pilla for over 20+ years. Although now Im sometimes mistaken for a parent in the waiting room, (note: Im not their oldest patient!) its a hard place to leave- Ive only had 1 cavity my entire life because my teeth have been sealed and protected and Im always struck by how professional, caring and fun the team is at Park View Pediatric Dentistry. If anyone is looking for a wonderful dentist-- I cant recommend Dr. Pilla more highly for kids, adults and everyone in between-- thank you for taking excellent care of my pearly whites!
When I tell you the staff and Doctors are absolutely the best. I mean it Dr.Pilla was my Pediatric Dentist and I loved her. She made it a nice and relaxing to come. Now that Im older I have all 3 of my children coming to her. The staff Anaika and Ann-marie and Liz make us feel like family. Dr.Pilla and Dr.Chin are the best in this business. They take there time with the kids and make it relaxing so kids are not nervous. So if you looking for a dentist Park View Pediatric Dentistry is the place for your kids.
This was the fourth dentist I had brought my child to in a week. My son is ASD/ADHD and as soon as he would see the dental chair he would freak out and run kick hit and scream. This was my last hope before taking him to a hospital. The atmosphere is so welcoming and everyone was so kind and understanding. They were able to calm his fears by allowing him to watch Thomas the train and he was sitting in the chair with no problem. Of course when it was time to look in his mouth they couldnt so they had to tie him down with the board which I was totally fine with. They were able to get his X-rays and complete an assessment of what is needed to move forward. I was so happy with the service we received today and I cannot thank the entire staff enough for their support and understanding, and finally a complete dental exam. From the receptionist to the doctors and assistants they were all great!!!
We were extremely upset by our experience at Park View Pediatric Dentistry. Clinically, everything was great. Dr. Chin and her staff were warm and friendly. But we were mislead about whether the office took our insurance and in the end, had to pay $785 for cleanings and x-rays for each of my two kids.Dr. Chin visited my daughter’s preschool this past winter and I received her contact info from a packet sent home in the backpacks. Naturally, I called to ask whether they take our insurance before booking an appointment. The receptionist told me one doctor in the office does and it happened to be Dr. Chin. I asked whether there was a co-payment and said there will likely be a small one but that it’s possible there wouldn’t be any.Our appointment on April 20th went smoothly and I appreciated the confirming emails I received prior to our visit. When we left the appointment I was told they’d send a bill for the co-payment.You can imagine my shock when I received a call seven weeks later from the office saying we owe $1,202. My husband and I called back and explained there must have been some mistake -- we have insurance. The office manager, Elizabeth Romeo, said they don’t take our insurance -- that we’re considered out-of-network. This was news to us since I specifically asked when making the appointment whether they take our insurance. I wasn’t told about being out-of-network at that time, nor was I told that during a follow-up conversation. My husband and Elizabeth went back and forth for a long time. Eventually she offered to take 25% off as a professional courtesy since he’s a doctor. While we appreciated it, it still didn’t fix the problem: we were given false information by the receptionist who told us our insurance was taken by Dr. Chin and there would be a small co-pay. We still had to pay $785 -- for two pediatric dental cleanings and x-rays!Later that week I called the office anonymously and asked if they took my insurance. I was told the same thing by the receptionist -- that Dr. Chin is the only one in the office who takes my insurance. I was stunned. She was repeating the same misinformation. I grilled her a bit since I knew she was wrong. I asked more than once: are you sure? What will my co-pay be? After peppering her with at least three questions regarding payment she told me we’re out-of-network. When I asked what the co-payment would likely be she said she couldn’t give me an exact figure but it would be “small or even nothing.”Talk about misinformation.I called Elizabeth, the office manager, immediately to explain what happened and she said she’d pass my concerns onto the owner, Dr. Deborah Pilla. Dr. Pilla never called me or my husband back. The office sent me an automated email shortly after our appointment in April saying my experience is important to them and they want my feedback. Obviously patient experience is of no concern to them, particularly Dr. Pilla. What kind of business owner doesn’t contact an irate customer? We all know health insurance is a fortune. And we trust medical professionals not only to care for our physical well-being; we trust them not to price gauge us. Boy, was I ever wrong in placing my trust in Park View Pediatric Dentistry. I urge you never to visit their office.
At our hour of need, Dr Pilla was there for us. I remember that I was feeling completely nervous and stressed at the thought of the dental procedure. The treatment plan sounded so complex and it gave me so nuh fear. But I remember that the Office Manager, Liz, told me one thing - if theres anyone who can take care of it, its got to be Dr Pilla.Even after the procedure and throughout, the entire team was always there to look after our needs and answer our questions. They were very thorough in their work and always made sure that we had everything covered.Thank you so much Park View Dentistry.
Unfortunately I had an experience with Park View Pediatric Dental very similar to the last reviewers. The girl at the front desk, Julissa, said that they accepted my insurance (Cigna). She even called Cigna in front of me to confirm that everything was good to go. A month later I get a call from Julissa and she tells me I just talked to Cigna and you have the wrong insurance through them. You signed an agreement when you were here that we could charge your credit card if your insurance doesnt pay so Im going to charge $500 (for a tooth cleaning and fluoride for ONE kid) to your credit card right now and you can take it up with your insurance company. Very unprofessional, especially since I signed up for that Cigna insurance only after I called Julissa in November and inquired which plan I should purchase and she told me The regular Cigna plan! Dr. Chin was great but the only Cigna plan they actually accept (despite what Julissa will tell you) is Cigna Radius, which isnt available to individuals and is only available if you work for certain companies that have a contract with Cigna. Absolutely unprofessional from Julissa, and considering the review before mine, it appears this is just how Park View Pediatric Dental does business. Theyre running a scam.
She charges more money for the rich people ans less for poor , doesn’t take ins companies and is very cheap and looks down on networkers i worked for this doctor I hit my head and needed stiches dr Rima never asked if I was ok and made me sign papers - said I was a liability to her office she said I was slow in the head and so fourth she also did a extraction and left a piece of a patients tooth in the gum not a great dentist her office is a revolving door as she said
This place is amazing from the front desk to the dentists. Maggie was extremely helpful when I was making the appointment and explaining to her my 2 years old daughter is autistic. I was afraid on how they were going to handle the situation. Wow!! All I can say is WOW!! They did an amazing job checking my daughter and making her feel confortable on her first and new experience. Glad I picked this place and definitely coming back! You guys rock!!!

2022-06-27I just want to say that the attention to detail shown by Maggie at the reception desk - in terms of scheduling, answering questions, and being generally just incredibly helpful has been above and beyond the way I have ever been treated by the team at a dentist’s office. Every question heard and answered, every scheduling issue taken into consideration. I feel so confident in this team - really so glad we found this practice.

2022-06-30The dentists and staff at Park View Pediatric are patient and kind and capable. We came to them years ago when a dentist who claimed to specialize in working with autistic children wanted to hospitalize our son and apply general anesthesia (at a cost of thousands of dollars) to fill a cavity. The people at Park View worked with our son to fill that initial cavity and then to teach him through the years until dentist appointments became entirely routine. Our sons current dentist, Rima Parikh, is especially impressive, but all of the dentists, hygienists, and other staff at the practice are wonderful.

2022-02-01I worked there before and all my stars are given to the amazing Dr. Marika Chikvashvili. She is a great person and exceptional at her work. I was so inspired by her. She was super patient and welcoming and super respectful ( a lot of doctors should learn from her). Anyone would be lucky to work with Dr. Marika. She is the best orthodontist I have ever met. Thanks to her I want to keep pursuing my degree in dentistry. She is truly an inspiration 💕

2021-03-23Skilled care, light-hearted atmosphere, exceptional service in the city - we are so grateful to have found this practice! Our daughter is always so excited to go to the dentist, honestly. Our family transplanted from the South, and expected to only find rushed services with an emphasis on revenue here, but the care they give here is amazing - I really appreciate the specialist touch, fun waiting area, adherence to scheduled times, and the prompt and super friendly service (even insurance claims support) before and during the pandemic. All procedures have been explained fully and clearly, and I don’t feel any unnecessary services or charges have ever been attempted. Our family trusts Dr. Rima and her team. Our daughter, who vocally complains about even the slightest discomfort at home, has never had anything but smiles after her visits and treatments. Don’t hesitate, this is the best dentist in NYC for children.

2020-11-05The office staff are so kind and extremely helpful. The cleaning and visit was such a delight my 3 year old daughter says she loves the dentist whenever we are there. Dr. Rima Parikh is very professional and sweet. And educates the little ones the whole visit about good eating habits and ways to care for your teeth and gums. Excellent all around!

2021-08-27Park View couldn’t have been more incredible with my nervous 4-year old. From the front desk, to Dr. Parikh and the two other staff members we met in the soothing room we got overlooking the park on 61st—the whole place was just right for both child and parent.
