Good Morning. This past weekend I’ve walk in to the store located at 223 w 34th St. Saturday May 14th between 3pm - 7pm. I was looking to complete Accesories for a costume for 4 females. I felt a little overwhelmed because of the lack of time I had. So I decided to ask a store representative on the floor for help. I’ve approached a tall, skinny dark skin with brades who’s name I was told was kevin at the register to ask for black capes. His answer was we don’t sell those… what really overwhelmed me more to later find the capes at another aisle. For my supiese I saw him working on the floor with a lady that was not dress as every other employee that it looked to be something like the manager of the store and she was not bothered for his answer. Too sad in this store there is not sympathy with the customers to try to help them. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The lady at the register was very nice. But after having this experience it kind of feels like they only care about your money and not your experience.
This place was a complete mess! I’m not exaggerating. No one around to help find what you need. Lastly when paying for my items they literally had no bags. ( I’m not making this up) The cashier had to give me a garbage bag.
The Worst Possible Experience. My daughter ordered her graduation balloons from this location on the phone. We decided to purchase a larger amount, so we went to the store in person. The leader Joshua, couldnt find my daughters phone order. After waiting for a half an hour, we decide to let him look later to cancel that order and placed the larger order with him. We paid for both but expected a refund on the smaller one. The balloons were supposed to be delivered to a restaurant only a few blocks away. We went over the order and the delivery address etc. several times with him. He said he wasnt going to be at work the following day when the delivery was supposed to take place, but a Giovanna would be there and take care of everything. The balloons from either order never arrived. We were charged for both orders, but fortunately I have Amex and was able to begin a dispute. Still waiting for a refund. Inept apathetic workers, old inefficient computer system. Never again.

I decided to surprise my wife, I was trying to order online but they didnt have a early delivery window. So I went to the store where Denise help me out and her manager. It was a fun and funny event for the hour they did the balloons.
Party City Herald Square gives top notch customer service. I came in frantic that i left my costumes makeup back at home. Though they were super busy the sales rep assisted me in picking out the face/body paint I needed to complete my Sally De Coutre makeup. She was informative and offered several suggestions. She made a hectic last minute run smooth and easy. My makeup came out great! Thank you!
Spent 40 minutes to blow a few balloons. Was late to the party. Better use any of 99 cents store for these purposes.

Looks depressing. Went there last night because we needed wigs. Escalators were not working. Half of the store shelves are empty. A lot of stuff is on the floor. Looks really messy. In the end we found something but we didnt really have too many options to chose from. Employees were nice at check out.

Came here looking for materials to make a Hershey kiss costume for Halloween, specifically a party hat and some kisses to give out. They didnt have any large party hats but i found a cone that will probably do. Plenty of kisses though and laid out so i can have variety. They also had lots of premade costumes around $50 with different sizes.
After having a HORRIBLE experience at party city on West 14th street, I decided to try my luck over at West 34th Herald Square. Oh my Goodness!!!! The ambiance is very warm! The representatives are exceptionally wonderful and knowledgeable!!! I interacted with Racquel, who before even asking questions knew where to direct me! Can you believe this? I also had an encounter with Lupe who was in the store isle and was extremely helpful! When I came to pick up my items later that day, I interacted with Bryan who was exceptionally helpful! You guys deserve not just a praise but a raise!!!!!! 🙏🏽 And to the other friendly members of staff, great job!!! Ive been to this store over 50 times in my life time. Its way better than the one on 14 street. It can be hectic like any other store when its extremely busy, but theyre very good at customer service.
Can always count on Party City to have the budget friendly final touches to an event. Tabletop disposables in any color. Festive balloons for most occasions. This location is great for order online/pick up since it’s right by ACE and BDFMNR trains.
I was looking for Space Jam decorations and they didnt have much available. But from what they had the designs where decent. They could use more variety of party bag stuffers

Due to miss communication on on my end they did not receive my balloon delivery order and it was for a surprise proposal. My first visit to a Party City store - who knew? Everything one could possible need for a party, and then some! Helium 40th Birthday balloons for a good friend were in order. Wide selection...put a group a balloons together just like selecting flowers for a bouquet. Very helpful associate. Only minor issue for me is that the store was in the basement level. I am claustrophobic a bit, but the shopping experience was terrific!
Great place! Well kept, clean and organized. The staff went to great extents helping this past Halloween. We went back and forth several times and tried a ton of costumes until something fit right. They were patient and helpful with making my decision. I really liked them being involved. It felt very personable. Great customer service skills. I left the store feeling happy. Thank you!

Today while the check out line continued to grow they were too busy eating cheeze it’s and trying on the new holiday hats instead of opening another register. When they finally did it was credit only and the guy running the register goes “who the hell still pays with cash”. Def will go to the one on 92nd instead of this one
I like this place. Its sort of hidden but it is a quiet and is never busy. The customers and employees are very friendly. They bring you to where things are rather than letting you get lost and trying to find it. Very fast cashiers. They do a good job. Very friendly and always have a smile on their faces.
Its a very big store, so they have a variety of items. My only complaint was walking up and down looking for the items. The aisles could have been marked better. The lighting was a little dark, and I was there in the daytime. If someone has difficulty with their vision, finding the items may prove difficult.
Its a bit smaller than most, but its organized pretty well. Its stocked well too, compared to others. Theres an elevator and escalators. Its in the basement area. Theres no real parking other than paying by the hour, and in that area is not worth it. Its better to take the train, there are several that stop right next to, or a block or several blocks away.
I like Party City, but this particular shop was kinda strange. The location of some of the items didnt make any sense and it took me quite some time to find everything I needed. I would recommend these if you want your to get some party supplies, but probably not at this particular shop if you dont have much time
Got 30 balloons filled with helium, within 24 hours they had all sunk to the floor. Waste of money. Also the store never answers their phone so that’s always a fun customer experience. Only reason they got 2 stars is because the workers there were very helpful
Ordered online wrong size for my boy, a flash costume. Went to store at exchange, realized there were two types of flash costume. The supervisor his name was Jackie he was amazing. Unbeknownst to him he made a little Harlem boy very happy tonight in a flash!! Good job , good customer turn around. Thumbs up!!
It was the longest line ever! I literally was in line for 30mins. If I didnt need that fedora I wouldnt have stayed. Best to just order and have it waiting for you. I will say though they have a lot of good selections.
I came to this party city very far away from home when I got home I realized that some of my items were not in my bag. I called the store and a female supervisor answered the phone around 8:50 pm I explained what happened that I did not receive my items and she said it was at the register (7) “ it was a simple mistake”No this was not a “ simple mistake” I have an important even happening at my job tomorrow hence the reason I came to this party city because I know the store would have exactly what I needed only to realize that the cashier did not place the items in the bag. The cashier at register was a very nice and professional young man however he still failed to place all my items in my bag. The fact that the supervisor never offered an apology and simply stated “ it was a simple mistake” shows me how customer service means absolutely nothing to her. She then proceeded to hang up the phone. After I told her it was not a simple mistake and I would like to speak to a manger preferably to discuss what happened she hung up the phone. At no time did i raise my voice at her or acted out of character. I called back again and a gentleman answered the phone, I can hear the female supervisor going off in the background about the reason why I was calling. I told the young man I did not want to speak to the supervisor but I would like to speak to a manger, I was then placed on hold for 10 mins. I hung up the phone and called again. This time someone picked up the phone and slammed it down, hanging up the phone. I called back again and got no answer. This all happened within a span of 5 minsI’ve been shopping at party city for the past 23 years and never ever have I received such bad customer service and unprofessionalism. I hope this supervisor is retrained on how to treat customers because her attitude and demeanor is disgusting.I will be returning all the items purchased and will never shop at party city again. I am sure there are other stores out there with similar products. I’ll go somewhere else where people know how to treat people with courtesy, dignity and respect**Update**Yesterday I received a call from the store manager Gabe, who offered an apology for my unpleasant experience. Was a line to get in but it moved quickly. Was in and out the store in no time. Key is if you know youre almost done, have someone with you stand in line while you pick up your last few items so by the time youre done they are probably in front the line.
Customer service needs improvement. I was on hold (over the phone) for an hour with this location trying to fix a mistake for an order that a Party City customer service rep made!!! Unacceptable! They need to hire more people!
Terrible service on 2 separate occasions this month.The first, they never delivered my $100 balloon order.The second, I went in store to order balloons 18 and watched the associate accidentally let go of 3, acknowledge they were on the ceiling, and never blew up replacements.My company will definitely not be using this location ever again.
Great! Needed Somme random items for my daughters 21st birthday get together and they gaff m had EVERYTHING AND MORE! The line was long but they moved quickly. Cashiers had great customer service skills

Wow. This location is a labyrinth. Its neverending, but the stock and variety of partu supplies, etc. Is well worth the navigation. The staff is super sweet too. The NYC price hike is always disappointing, but for the convenience it can be overlooked.
I placed an order yesterday around 330/ 4:00pm. My order is still not ready and it was supposed to be ready yesterday according to the pick-up policy. I have tried to contact this store multiple times and no one answered and now when I call Im receiving a busy signal. So not only did they not fulfill their orders but they wont answer their phones either. This is my first impression of this store and the company as I have never ordered from Party City before. I also called customer service and they were no help either. The representative was not knowledgeable at all on my questions as to why I have two different order numbers for the same order, or why I cant even track my order online using any of them. He just kept repeating himself saying Your order is not ready. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE. YOU WILL BE IGNORED.
The store itself is great as it has a big selection of items but I had a terrible experience trying to order balloons for delivery from them so I do not recommend using them to order balloons. Its amazing how they seem to have no process for this and every time I call (first to place the order, then to check on it since they didnt send me a confirmation or receipt like they said they would) they put me on hold for an insane amount of time and have trouble helping me with a simple request like finding my order.
Do they carry a lot of stuff. From wedding decorations to seasonal items. Halloween is around the corner. This, if you need some cool heard for you or your kids, take a look. Have fun shopping.

I went to this Party City on September 21st, not only were they slow, but the staff was rude except for the manager. Also, I purchased three balloons for my daughters birthday, one of them being a large Moana Balloon (#627 for $9.99), and before I got to the restaurant, a few blocks away, I notice that the Moana balloon had already began to deflate. Unfortunately, I had to take it as a lost because we were late for my daughters birthday lunch but also the staff was so rude that I didnt even want to bother. So Party City, I will never go back to this location.
The floor staff were not helpful and willingness to answer questions on the product I was looking for as it is not a popular item sold. I had to go through the aisle to find it even though they carried it. Only good thing was that the people at the counter was quick and professional.

They don’t really have anything that I need. All I need is trendy costumes for holidays. I couldn’t get any pretty halloween costumes here that I could get from any bigger Party City in other malls, I couldn’t get my santa dress here that I could get from bigger Party Cities.Sometimes I wonder why all these stores that can’t follow the trend still existing in this expensive land, Manhattan. It’s not even a small local store. It’s a big brand, Party City! In MANHATTAN! I don’t even know if they restock stuffs or even try to make the store look better so that customers come here and at least get the costumes that they want.
Convenient place to buy helium balloons for all occasions. Call ahead to have the balloons delivered! I walked in and bought 20+ balloons. I was in and out in under 10 minutes on a busy Saturday evening. This place is pretty well stocked and has a crazy candy selection.

Great selection of party stuff and Halloween outfits, but the staff were so slow and unhelpful. Also check that everything is included if you buy an put fit several parts missing from the one I wanted, and by the time an alternative had arrived Id given up and returned everything.

Im a designer and I was looking for an assortment of Happy Anniversary Mylar Balloons for an Event....and guess what... Out of maybe 100 different Birthday Balloons.... it was only ONE Design of Happy Anniversary Balloon available.... Certainly that applyed to all Stores so this is a Corporate Issue to look into.... doesnt make sense...ONE DESIGN for such a large Party Supplier Store.A Complete Disappointment.....👎
The whole store is amazing. I usually go to this store to get my party stuff for all the celebrations in my family.. One thing though I have a very bad experience yesterday on.my sons bday. I bought a bunch of latex balloon and on the ride home each one started popping. I got left with 4 balloons and 1 foil balloon in the end. The lady over filled the ballon with hellium.
You can stock up on candy on your way to the movie theater. I bought 30 individually wrapped Twizzlers and Swedish Fish for $2.00! What a bargain. Its a huge store that has lots of options for your party needs.
I went to Party city in March to order balloon for my daughters Communion party.No one seem to know what or where the communion party stuff was. After a long wait i ordered 64 balloon to be delivered paid the very expensive price of$38.95 to have them at the venue they said between 11 am and 1pm .I arrived at my daughter party venue no balloons , the party was starting at 1.30pm the embrassement of putting the balloons and party stuff out with 100 adults and 45 children. I called them they lied said they were on there way . When i called again in tears they said they would be there in 10 minutes. They arrived @1 45pm. Such terrible service and to be so horrible on the phone . When i called them the monday after the party they saidoh we give u a dicount when you come in to get it after they realised how upset i was they said they refund the delivery charge again i have to go in to get it . Meanwhile i live in queens , why should i have to go in to get a refund when it was there fault. I have the name of the manger who was no help .What a way to ruin a party with 145 people . They also didnt have the balloons i ordered and send other one. Horrible . No i would not ever buy from party city . And the staff needs alot of training.
TrashDont get me wrong if you want.to spend under 35 bucks on an enrire costume this may be the place for you I saw 2 costumes only 2 that looked good didnt look cheap ,the rest was all disapointing. However if you do not mind looking cheesy and cheap you have found your store.
I did not have the best experience today at the partycity on 34st. I went into the store with my husband looking for Cinderella party supplies since my daughters birthday is right around the corner. I asked a lady that works there if they have any Cinderella costumes and she informed me with an attitude that they only have Belle Dresses. I kindly told her thanks and continued to look around for items for the party. They had this one worker walking around everywhere my husband and I went. It was a bit annoying but I tried to ignored it because I know he is doing his job and I am no stranger to stereotypical experiences since I am Spanish and my husband is black. Anyways, I decided to finally leave the store being that I didnt find what I wanted. As I was heading for the escalator, the same lady that I spoke to in the beginning asked me if I am looking for something specifically. I dont know what made her stop me but she had a funny look on her face and the security guard stared me and my husband up and down. I wanted to leave but I suddenly remembered that I also came for a princess piñata and most importantly that I shouldnt let whatever their perception of me stop me from getting what I needed... so I asked her where can I find them... she told me the number of the aisle and I headed over to the aisle. I did not see any Cinderella piñata so I called her over to assist me. I thought that by calling her over I would make her job easier being that she thinks I am something I am not. She could watch me all she wants, I just ask for assistance in return. She had such an attitude and her face looked so disturbed by the fact that I was asking her questions. She was answering me but you could tell that she was trying to be tolerant. Eventually I found the piñata I wanted but I definitely had a horrible experience. I wont be going there anymore and would advice others to not shop there either.However, I often shop at the partycity on Atlantic and Ralph and I never had a bad experience.
Bought a couple pack of balloons and one mylar unicorn filled with helium. Balloon not fully filled out and seemed like the employee was attempting to skimp on the helium as much as possible. Just one day at home nobody touched it and it looked like it was beat up a good chunk of the balloon looked pretty badly flat and the balloon barely lasted 4 or 5 days whereas I still have a similar sized Valentines day balloon still up from February 15th. Poor helium quality and poor filling I would not buy helium balloons from here again. Plus the fact they wanted tp charge $1.65 to put it in a bag to protect it as if they werent making enough off the balloon itself as it is.

Absolute worst. Never try to call here. Theyll just let it ring for 15 minutes and laugh with each other while their on the phone with you and then put you on hold, for what seems a century. They also usually dont know where things are in their own store any time Ive gone. Done.

This is a smaller Party City since it is in the city but they do have a large assortment of balloons. The staff has always been friendly and helpful each time Ive shopped here.

This party city had nothing for parties. It was basically a worse version of the Halloween store, Spirit. There was no organization or efficiency- it was pure chaos and the space was way too small for the crowd size. I ended up leaving and going to the dollar store next door for party decorations!
Slowest store ever. Always a long line. No type of urgency what so ever. Literally been waiting 15 minutes to get two balloons blown up while 5 other workers stand around and talk.

Horrible store. 2 people cant fit in the same isle. I exchanged my sons costume and the wrong size was in the bag they gave me. The staff was rude when I tried exchanging again and ended up putting the custume I exchanged back in the bag so had to go again.

Location of this Party City could be better but it has everything you need. Especially big balloons for birthdays or special occasions!
I did go after 7pm on a weekday so it was empty and store seemed well stocked and organized. Employee was helpful and informative.
It wasnt anybody in the store but 4 ppl and One cashier. The AC. Was dope when coming into the store and below💯💋👍👍
I found everything I needed even though it was more expensive than amazon I was happy I didn’t need to wait.
It was so packed but I felt like everything was organized like if you want a costume you pick it tell the lady the number and you go to the back and they got it ready for you

2022-08-01Update 8/1I spoke with store manager Josh who was extremely helpful and polite. Thank you very much for helping me resolve this issue, and for your understanding.Absolutely horrible. I do not typically write reviews, but I will share this experience. I placed an online balloon order & they were supposed to be delivered at our restaurant from 5-7pm (I was hosting an event). I arrived at 7:30 and was informed they were never delivered.I called and spoke with a gentlemen last night who gave the absolute worst customer service. He told me my order was a pick up and that I canceled it.. it was supposed to be delivered and I NEVER canceled my order. He said it was not the store and blamed the customer instead of trying to resolve the issue. I had to ask what they could do for me and to please deliver the balloons. He said the balloons would be delivered right away took my address etc and they never came, likely did it on purpose.

2022-07-01Party City-the best place to go when looking for something extraordinary! I had a vision in mind, for my outfit for the just past 2022 Pride March. My main objective was to somehow retrieve a multicolored tutu. After going to a couple of stores, PC miraculously had it! Did I look online to see what products they may have had in store? No. Haha. The service was good. They didnt have any bags that day so I had to carry my tutu and wig in my hand until I hit up the next store. Reliable store.

2022-07-04Staff was great assisting with balloon choices, deftly filling with helium and expertly wrangling the balloons together in the easiest way to transport them. Multiple cashiers made the line move quickly and efficiently, and even upon greeting were offered invaluable advice on the options available.

2022-07-30Unfortunately, the employees dont know how to properly tie the balloons to the ribbon string. Walking home my balloons blew off the strings. I tried to explain and give feedback to the manager but she was not interested. There is just lack of real ownership with the people that work there.

2021-11-30I order my Halloween things and kids birthday decorations from here every year for delivery and they always call you to confirm your order and deliver it on time. They so helpful and genuinely nice and if your missing something, theyll replace it, no questions asked. This customer service is very appreciated! Thank you Cassandra and all the other staff there, Yall are great!

2021-10-30Great place to look for costumes, for kids and adults. Went there two days before Halloween and there was a line outside the store for about 150 meters. Gave up but went back a day after in the morning and there was no lone at all. Surprisingly enough they did not run out of costumes so luckily I got some nice stuff.

2022-04-06The employees seemed pleasant. But I was disappointed with this store. The delivery of balloons for my party was barely on time and would have been late if I had not called. And they forgot 10 of the helium balloons I paid for! They didn’t even give me the correct refund. The balloons they did send were very pretty.

2022-06-21I work here for 2 years and I did loss prevention and dealing with the homeless trying to steal any items !! I always been told I was doing good until the new STL came telling me I wasn’t doing my job enough within 3 weeks of him being their and saying I’m not a A team player cause of situations I had going on at home effecting my work .. and he’s so disrespectful to employees and mangers ! DONT HIRE A STL THAT DOESNT KNOW WHAT HE’S DOING THIS MAN IS CLUELESS I had decided to leave without a word everyone I knew left cause of him and his “according to cooperate “ rules Get him out !!! 2022-05-23Had fun at this store and the customer service was decent, but they did have a leak when you are going down the escalator into the store. Overall they pretty much have everything in this super size Party City.
