I had the best experience here. The doctor is very friendly, highly knowledgeable and listened to all my concerns and problems patiently and provided me with very helpful guidance and advice and it genuinely felt that he cared for his patient. He did a very thorough checkup of my eyes and made sure I was fully satisfied before I left unlike some other doctors I have visited. I would highly recommend going to them.
Been coming here since I was a kid! They always hooked me up with nice frames and were always so kind. I remember being in elementary school and they were so patient about me flinching for the tonometry machine haha. I came during college because I had trouble seeing the board to take notes and one of the optometrists and I had a great conversation about college and how he was also a Brooklyn College alum! The optometrists never seem to be in a bad mood and I really love the family feel of this place. I remember being a kid and one of their sons joining the office and they seemed so proud. They seem to keep employees for a long time because I tend to recognize them whenever I come in. I also really love the vintage look of the exterior and interior of the office. It’s classic Brooklyn! I’m going to try my hand at contact lenses and will definitely be coming here for them! I literally revolve my insurance around this place — I refuse to get it if it isn’t accepted at this office. I don’t mind rotating doctors and dentists but these guys are non negotiable! Nostalgia aside, I always leave eager to get my glasses and eager to see clearly again.
Had an issue with my fathers DMV license renewal, called the office and spoke to Dr. Jan who helped me with the situation right away. He offered to submit the DMV form online himself which was so helpful because I had no idea what I was doing! For sure if you need to renew your license, the office offers services to get your vision report completed, as well as being able to have the doctor submit online for you.
Ive been a patient of Dr Weitz for years and he is wonderful. The wait time is never very long, both doctors Ive seen are very friendly and professional and the office is very cleanly.My glasses are also always ready so fast. I thought the girls at the front were also friendly and helpful. If you need good optometrists in Brooklyn this is the place to go!
I’ve been a patient here since I was a child and haven’t been back for about 6 years as I have moved but I broke my glasses and I needed something immediately, the service at the front desk was great the doctor was amazing and just as I always remembered him and I left with a replacement set of frames ,a new order of frames on the way and I was able to put in an order for my contacts. Very satisfied and glad that this place has consistently been serving the community for decades! May they have decades more !
Excellent customer service, doctors are wonderful. my parents and siblings have been coming here for a long time. They always assist in making sure that my eyes are checked very well. thanks to them, I feel comfortable wearing eyes glasses and contacts. they are a blessing...
This review is for doctor H.Weitz. Please read to the end. Office isnt located in prime area of Brooklyn, nor is modernly furnished, so my first thought was: how the hell did they get so many positive reviews? I wanted to walk out but since I was already there, just went with it. Doctor received me in the office that looks like something between Harry Potters room under the stairs and magicians library. At that point I was fully prepared to spend five minutes there, walk out and never go back, glad I did not. Doctor checked my eyes thoroughly, asked questions, listened and explained diagnosis in great detail. Doctor never rushed through or harried during the visit, but offered some great advice and recommend glasses. While surroundings were not all sparkly and high end, the service and professionalism was. Thats precisely what I was looking for. Thank you
I have been coming here for years. Dr Jan Weitz is a thorough professional and a caring physician. Recently, I had a weird irritation in my right eye, and Dr Weitz was able to find a solution quickly and cure my problem. The staff and the physicians are very knowledgeable and patient. The office is clean with a wide selection of frames and sunglasses to choose from. Highly recommend them!
Great staff and doctors!! Found them on a Google search and by far the best optometry office I have ever been to. No appointments are necessary and they have three doctors working all the time. Only problem was the amount of glasses to choose from... Too many options!! Not always a bad thing. Love the vibe at paskowski Weitz optometry!! Thank you!!
I have been having a problem with my eyes for some time and finally decided to go get checked out. I happen to know Dr. Jan Weitz personally, so I decided to give him a call to ask a few general questions. He convinced me to come down to his office and assured me that it wouldnt be a waste of his time to squeeze me into his busy schedule. He gave me a top to bottom examination, diagnosed my condition, promptly gave me access to a remedy and now I no longer have the at-times debilitating symptoms. He was patient with me, explained to me in laymans terms what my condition was and helped me get fitted for prescription glasses. A great doctor and an even better person. I live on Long Island and gladly travel(ed) all the way out to Brooklyn for treatment. One of the best decisions that I have made making the initial call.
Eye Doctors is a great place to stop in for all your eye-wear needs. This is a family run business; they treat you like family! I highly recommend coming here for all your eye exams, contacts, glasses and everything in between. Theyre thorough, friendly and will answer all of your questions. Note: there are four optometrists here, Dr. Richard and Dr. John Paskowski and Dr. Bernard and Dr. Jan Weitz.
I have been seeing Dr Weitz for a while now, and have never had a bad experience. Everyone in the office is professional and friendly and Dr Weitz makes you feel so comfortable during your exam. I highly recommend going here for a fast, easy eye exam!
Ive been going to this office for about 7 years or so and Ive never had a problem except today. My mother bought me a new frame there a couple of years and this year I decided to change the lens because they were scratched. I went to pick them up today and I noticed the tip was burned off. I told the doctor that adjusted them about the damage and he was very condescending and dismissive. He kept saying that it was normal wear and tear that comes with old frames. I told him no. I know what my frames looked like and that was not there before. He literally said well its your word against mine. I dont pay $200 to have my frames damaged and to be talked to like that. Ive been wearing glasses since 2nd grade so I know how to handle my glasses. These are not my first frame. These are my favorite frames and Ive highly taken care of them because I dont often find a frame I like. Never going back again!
Very disapointed. It nice that they have walk-ins but my last visit its been a nightmare.I came for lens replacement and they broke my frame and to make worst they taking their sweet time to fix this matter, it is been a month since then this is insane they blame the lab i guess they shoud change lab because i think there must be more than 1 lab in Brooklyn.I hope nobody goes thrugh this terrible situation, good luck fellow residents of sunset Park.
The actual doctors are amazing by the staff are terrible. There are young Spanish girls who decided to leave at 5:55 when they close at 6 & refused to let me in to pick up a pair of contacts I called ten minutes prior. As they were leaving they just smiled and walked out without apologizing or saying anything. There was a much older lady who came by to lock up and didnt have the curtisy to even acknowledge me.
Ive been going here since I was in Kindergarten and the doctors have always been super thorough and friendly! Totally recommend!
Great place, i took my daughter and the staff and doctors treated her great. They even fixed her old glasses so she could use them while waiting for the new glasses to come in.

Ive been going to Paskoski & Weitz since I was a kid, and now I go with my 15 year old and my husband. Dr. Jan and his colleagues and staff always go the extra mile and make sure you get the treatment you need.
Everyone at this is office is so friendly and attentive! The doctors are very knowledgable and patient. They take their time to explain anything you may not understand.

If there were 0 stars, I would give 0 terrible service, they do not do their work well, poor quality in lenses and in people. They steal peoples money, they charge more than it is really worth, this eyeglass clinic is useless, I do not recommend it to anyone, and even more so, I do not recommend it to people with children, terrible bad service. I would never go to y again and I would not take my children very bad either

2022-04-10Avoid this place. I came here 3 months ago for an eye check up and everything was fine until the next day i had an itchy eye. The corners of my eyes were so itchy. I know it came from this clinic. The lady who cleans the medical equipment only uses alcohol and wipes down quickly and not thoroughly.

2022-01-19The doctor here was very rude to me. I don’t know his name but he was very tall and old. I came in cause I was having a sharp pain in my right eye and I told him this was going on for a few days now and he rudely interrupted me and said “no no no no that’s impossible” but he said it in a really rude tone. It was strange, like he was calling me a liar. THEN he had the audacity to call me ME rude because I replied to someone’s message on my phone.I went to a different eye doctor a few days later in bay ridge and had a completely different experience. This doctor was extremely helpful and was actually polite.I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this doctor because of the way he speaks and acts towards his patients.
