The remaining one star is for the kitchen staff, who made amazing food. The rest of the place is so weird and bad that I wished I had went to a McDonald instead for better service. We opted to sit outside, and they said everything outside is take-away, which makes no sense as they have an outside cabin. We were not given any cutlery, utensils, or even plates. The food was decent, until the katsu sandwich came ice-cold. The entire experience is subpar than a Wendys or even 7-11, as they actually heat the food for you.
I went on a Sunday afternoon and was able to have a table immediately. The mango chamomile mousse cake and shiso fromage were excellent. I also tried one of their sandwiches, and the bread was lightly toasted and crisp while still being soft to chew. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff is polite. I would definitely come back here on a date for a glass of wine and dessert, or even alone for a cup of tea and a snack 😌 It is so conveniently located to Union Square, I cant believe I didnt know about it earlier. It will definitely be one of my regular spots now.
Was attracted by the design of their dessert collections and was excited to try out. But everything was a little bit off, the taste, the services and the space. The dessert was good but didn’t reach the outstanding level. The taste was balance but the shiso part was really lacking. They didn’t clean the table that often since I found pastry flakes on the it when I sit in.
Without exaggerating one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Was expecting it to be charming (and it absolutely was), but was not expecting that the food would be so unbelievably good. Would highly recommend the beef stew. Michelin star worthy. French Japanese cuisine is now definitely on the radar.
My friend works here, so I decided to check it out and it lived up to the expectation.I tried 2 dessert. Strawberry shortcake and the basil green apple. Both were great. I loved how pretty the apple was to look at. I prefer strawberry flavor, but there are plenty of options to choose.Definitely will go back.
I am a huge strawberry shortcake fan and I never miss a chance when I can try them at a new place.Patisserie Fouets strawberry shortcake is not what I expected from the traditionals, its Innovative yet still full of flavours/texture/layers. I tried something different and was not disappointed at all.The black sesame mouse is pretty good as well, and my friend who I gift the soba pudding was very satisfied too.
I think I have found my favorite desserts shop in the city! I love Japanese-French desserts! This cafe is a perfect place if you’re looking for a balance in between French and Japanese desserts. In general, most of the cakes are not too sweet. So you won’t feel too heavy or guilty eating the second piece. They also customize birthday cake, party cake and cookies gift box.Ambiance is nice and low noise level. Would recommend for smaller groups, afternoon tea or date.I was there for their desserts this time and haven’t got to test taste their savory menu. Will come back soon!
We’re really in love with this place and will be coming back to try more desserts! The soba pudding was divine, akin to a creme brûlée. We’ve been missing Hokkaido and Japanese curry so we got the Hokkaido soup curry which was just what we needed on a Sunday afternoon. The sesame latte was a little on the heavier side, so it didn’t pair well but I’d recommend it if you want a more solid and filling latte.Service was great tho a little slow at times maybe due to the sheer number of customers, and the outdoor dining area was very comfortable.
It’s not easy to write a negative review, but I have to say their strawberry shortcake is far below my expectations. The surface was covered with a red seasoning with strong and strange flavor, the strawberry’s leaf was not removed, and the bottom was some over sweet layer you can hardly cut clean with a knife (I can’t figure out what is that)I guess this is called innovation, but to be honest, trying any innovative ideas over a simple shortcake can hardly get you any praise.
Food - I ordered the beef stew because they didn’t have the Pork Katsu (this was around 2pm). The meat was tender and flavorful. The rice was cooked just right, not too wet nor too dry. Portions were generous (I only managed to eat half of everything). I also had the caramel cheesecake; could not taste the caramel at all so it was just like eating plain cheesecake.Outdoor seating - it was raining when I went, but everything stayed dry. It was nice and toasty, thanks to the heat lamps that spanned the entire length of the covered structure. Kept my food warm a little longer. :)
Pastisserie Fouet is one of the trendiest dessert spots recenly in NYC among friends. The decor is artsy and the ambiance is cozy. The outdoor dining area is beautiful with lots of flowery. We got their Shiso Fromage Blanc Mousse and Custard Souffle (2pc) for our first try. The mousse was delicate with a light flavor. The custard souffle was blend and a little disappointing but we might visit again for their $17 tasting menu, which includes the soufflé that’s served warm to see the difference.
I got the strawberry shortcake for my birthday, and I DID NOT like it. for almost $100 I was disappointed :(I think the pink peppercorn was what made it taste so spicy and herby - it was def something I was not used to. One layer of the cake is replaced by a meringue-like type of layer (this was at the bottom) and I honestly though it was Styrofoam at first LOL but I am personally NOT a fan of meringue type of things, so I did not like this at all. It made the cake so hard to cut.Ive had their other smaller desserts in the past and thought it was okay
Very good, but a little pricey. I gotta be a bit nitpicky here since its an expensive patisserie - my chocolate hazelnut mousse was very nice but there was a stubborn section of the crust that made it difficult to cut, and the taste of this section was also a little inconsistent/tasteless compared to the rest. Other than that, great. My companions also enjoyed their desserts.
I went here for lunch today between classes! I’m honestly surprised nobody talks about the sandwiches in their reviews. I had doubts seeing pictures of the smoked salmon sandwich thinking it wouldn’t be enough to fill me up, but I was very wrong. The open faced sandwich is huge and is very filling.I also got the basil mousse, which is adorably shaped like an apple and tastes absolutely delicious! It’s subtly sweet and just the right size. I can’t wait to come back to try more desserts. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey, but not terribly so (compared to other patisseries) and I am a college student after all, haha.EDIT to add: I wanted to say the staff working were very sweet and patient as well. I’m not sure of her name, but the girl working at the register today was very kind.
Best food Ive had in a long time. We went on 11/13 and the employee at the cash register/waitress was exceptional at her job. She was polite and kind even though we were taking a while to order. The food came out at a timely manner, starting with the drinks then going into the main course. The bathroom was clean and didnt smell. Overall a good experience.
Their desserts are light and not too sweet with very fun flavors. Especially love the apple basil and shiso fromage mousse. The soba souffle is good as well, earl grey souffle wasnt as airy. The stuff accompanying the souffle are all too much on the sour side which overpowered the souffle in my opinion. Didnt like the small bites in the prix fixe. Would probably just order a la carte desserts.
I have been wanting to come here for the absolute longest, since they opened up. Came here after a warm hearty meal of udon and appetizers. My friend ordered the sesame latte, and unfortunately it was disappointing for her. It appeared that it was mainly sesame and no espresso shot in sight (as we saw on other people’s pictures on Google/Yelp). I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, since they did not have soy milk and I thought they were okay. It did taste a bit gritty towards the bottom. However the highlight were definitely the desserts. We ordered the soba pudding, strawberry shortcake, and the Mont Blanc. All the desserts were light and fluffy. The strawberry shortcake had fresh sweetened strawberries that was paired well with the crunchy merengue on the bottom and fluffy whipped cream and sponge cake. The Mont Blanc (light chocolate, raspberry mousse, shiso jelly, and streusel cookie) was surprisingly tasty. I thought it would be cheesy, since it is technically a cheesecake. I was surprised it complemented well with the raspberry mousse (as tho the combo sounded a bit dense). The cookie and jelly provided a change of texture of crunchy and hard jelly. My absolute favorite was the soba pudding. I was skeptical at first because soba you would think of noodles. There is a caramel-brown sugar syrup at the bottom that blended really well with the pudding itself. Topped with a really crunchy cookie (which my friends were not a fan of), I loved it! Highly recommend the soba pudding: toasty bitterness from the syrup envelopes the velvety, creamy pudding topped with a crunch with every bite.I would definitely come back here again, for their afternoon tasting as I really want to try their soufflés.
Cozy little place that serves beautiful Japanese Deserts. Strawberry Shortcake with white chocolate and marangue was amazing. My favorite was the Yuzu Lemonade. Personally, I prefer the Yuzu (Asian Citrus) over Lemmon as I find it offers a more complex flavor. Perfect for hot summer day.
I’m very disappointed that I need to give zero star review to this business. I used to love this place and been coming a lot since they opened their business until today when I walked in with my service dog which is trained and approved by licensed psychiatrist. They told me “ only physical service dog is allowed “. I believe this is against the law and discriminate against people who have “non- physical “ disabilities. The business owner needs to know - Service animals are:• allowed in restaurants and other locations that serve food per the Board of Health.• allowed to go anywhere their owner/handler goes – a store owner’s or customer’s claim that he is allergic todogs is not an acceptable reason to exclude that person and their animal from the store.Again very disappointed with this experience today and apparently the business owner needs to be educated.
You can never go wrong with this dessert spot! The egg sandwich is the classic! Anyone would love it if u crave savory food before or with some sweets.Earl grey soufflé dessert tasting: wow loved every bite. Could share soufflé for two.Basil green apple is worth to try. Interesting flavor.5-star service: Came alone to treat myself at the bar, I was well treated with food and the service for sure.Even though the space is small and packed. All of the waitresses and chefs are attentive, caring and extremely kind.*Avoid after meal time if you want to enjoy dessert and talking. Since the place is small it could be really hectic.Overall it is one of the top-notch bakery in NYC.
I am OBSESSED with this cute little Japanese/French patisserie. Such an unassuming place on 13th, you probably have walked by this a million times not knowing how much you are missing out. I wish I could live here. They can meet all your breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, tea time (high tea anyone??) and bread needs. They also have dessert tastings after 4pm. They also serve wine. They have amazing teas and OMG the black sesame latte is to die for. I love their desserts because they are not sugar bombs. And as much as I love cooking and baking, I’m not making a basil mousse shaped like an apple in my kitchen.Service is always great and their food and drink offerings are even greater. I mean, can this place get any better? Yes, if they offer me an apt adjacent to their patisserie.
One of my favorite sweet spot in the city. Not only the modern look, great coffee and nicely presented french pastries, but also friendliness of the staff as well as the lunch choices with bubbles. I can keep coming back here for a quick morning coffee, or for a quick sandwich with gruyere cheese, or sitting down for a green apple white chocolate!
This place is a gem!!! The desserts are a bit intimidating so I started with the matcha yuzu lemonade (viral Eva Chen rec) which must be the best matcha drink in nyc. Then I had the BLT which is like a work of art but also perfectly delicious. I’ve been giving the dessert-in-a-jar and the delicate cookie boxes as gifts.
A little chic French patisserie inspired by some Japanese concepts. It has the same owner as Raku, the tasty udon noodle eatery. Soufflé has been always one my favorite desserts and they even have earl grey flavor! Of course, I got it. The fresh tea aroma, the soft buttery texture, the lightly earl grey hint... all of them made it perfect and it was literally made to order! I replaced the vanilla bean ice cream with a scoop of green tea. Not sure if this is a brilliant idea, since I don’t think green tea is good to go with earl grey, but I just simply wanted to try the ice cream. I also like the earl grey pound cake, which has very strong earl grey aroma. I would like it more if it was a little bit more moisture. As my company said, it will be much better to go with coffee. Green tea cookie is a must have if you are a huge fan of green tea. It’s a very light version of shortbread with a perfect balance of the bitterness from green tea and the sweetness from sugar. It’s also a perfect balance of light fresh tea aroma and heavy creamy butter taste. Love love love this patisserie:)12.20.2019Sesame latte is a two shot espresso drink with sweet sesame paste. It doesn’t really taste like a coffee, but the sesame brought some pleasant aroma out of the drink. There would be a thick layer of paste at the bottom once the drink is finished, I loved it so much that I even used the teaspoon to finish them.Sakura mochi macaroon is nicely twisted into Japanese style from French. Mochi mixed with Adzuki, made the macaroon more chewy and less sweet;)12.24.2019Green Tea Tiramisu is lightly sweet. I even didn’t feel the heaviness from mascarpone cheese.Sesame Apricot Cake, apricot compote on top of a thin layer of sesame cake, which is wrapped by sesame mousse. A creative combo;)Also like the Yuzu green tea chiffon;)09.06.2020The miso pistachio pond cake has a subtle savory from miso, very interesting and enjoyable. The sake azuki pond cake is soft and moisture. Although I didn’t taste sake, I love the azuki bean paste in the middle:)
I would like to begin my review with the staff. The team is so lovely and memorable, elegant, sophisticated. This place is quiet poetic if anyone can notice.Service: The team is so friendly, sophisticated, vibrant, informed, educated. There’s a certain quality amongst Asians. They know when to disappear or blend in. At some restaurant, you simple can’t forget about the staff because the are so obnoxious to some degree or they have such wild energy that you eat very fast and leave. It’s not like that here. They provided great communication and served us efficiently. I was so appreciative of them when they were speaking to us rather than annoyed at their presence, that has to do with not being overwhelmed by them.Food: please know this about real patisseries of quality chefs: nothing is too sweet! I’ve been here a few times and forgot to take photos. This time I remembered. We got the spiced chocolate and macaroons. The Sakura has adzuki beans. The Yuzu is my favorite. Yuzu is a winter citrus, enjoy it while it’s in season! It’s delicate, floral, crispy and little. I think there’s even tiny bits of mochi. The spiced hot chocolate had me hooked. It’s floral, light and alluring. They use really good vanilla and cinnamon. The chocolate is from France.Atmosphere: here’s where everything comes together. You enter and you notice the patisserie and viennoiserie, then you notice the cafe then the staff - all asian! Everything is elegantly placed and thought out. Have you noticed it resembles a French cafe? Or the small decor? Like the gold handles in the bathroom? Or the flooring? The lighting? It’s not about Instagram here. It’s about memories. You come to a place like this to sit and have cafe or tea and enjoy your croissant. This place is romance! You don’t come here to bring your laptop or snap Instagram.I hope you get to enjoy and try everything.
Elegant desserts that are made with the right amount of sweetness (I.e., not very sweet). The desserts also look as amazing as they taste. The basil green apple cake was quite tasty with aromatic flavors bursting in your mouth. If you take it to go, it comes in a cute little package.
We made a special trip here after dinner on Friday, but was very disappointed. We tried: caramel mousse(?) cake, caramel cheese cake and Mont Blanc. The caramel mousse itself was good (4/5 star), but the outer layer/casing was a weird gelatinous texture as opposed to a ganache. We left all the casing behind, as you can see in the photos. The caramel cheesecake was just try, and the cheesecake layer itself was thin (there was a layer of some sort of caramel brownie thing on top) and was more eggy than cheesecakey. Mont Blanc was ok. The middle chestnut layer had an aftertaste that is strange. We didn’t have any problems with the service, unlike some other reviews. But it was not busy when we went.
Delicious cakes! Strawberry shortcake was divine. Definitely coming back to try more. Friendly efficient customer service. One washroom in the back. Tables along left side of store and some bar counter type tables at far back right. Display was clean and beautiful and wanted to try all the items. Lovely shop for eat in or take away desserts.
Loved various flavor selection for macarons.I had Sakura, yuju, black sesame and match flavors...loved sesame for the best! They all had mochi inside, which was awesome! It added up Chewy texture and boosted up the fun eating experience!I would visit again to try those dessert set. They looked so good. We went there by closing time- but all seat was full.
Good coffee and beautiful dessert delicacies made just right for pictures and tastebuds. Its a bit pricey, so not a place for frequent visits, I dont think. But its in my neighborhood and I had a wonderful afternoon here with my bestie. :) If you are looking for a special little shop to celebrate life, this place could be one of the ideal options to be considered. Of course, what makes a celebration special is not really about a place but who you celebrate with and the gratitude that simple appreciates life.
This bakery is a little slice of pastry heaven in the city. Its nestled between 5th and 6th avenue on 13th Street just slightly away from the madness of Union Square. Its airy and a good amount of seating for those looking for a treat. They have mini cakes to croissants and cookies. The croissants are flaky with the tender buttery insides. They will heat it up for you so you can have that extra touch of sinful goodness. The almond one is topped with slices of crunchy almonds and with the first bite you get the shot of creamy paste. Its almonds in all kinds of form but still wont overwhelm you. The garlic Parmesan is my other favorite, think of a garlic bread in a croissant form. You welcome in advance. They also have pound cake but not your run of the mill kind. The day I visited, they had Earl grey, sake with red bean paste and yuzu. Flavors are concentrated but just enough to get a taste of it. The cake itself is dense but still tender, not dry at all. They have a selection of mini cookies and cakes as well. Basically, I recommended coming with a group and just try a bit of everything. Service is quick and friendly. It will give you the boost of energy to go back and face NYC.
Chef Yoshie Shirakawas innovative take on French desserts and pastries using Japanese ingredients and style. I ordered the basil green apple which was delightful in its expression and in its taste. The sesame latte was a little grainy, but introduced a different flavor profile that is both tasty and eclectic. Will come back to try the souffle.
Everything here is exceptional and priced pretty fairly. Came on Saturday around noon and there were a good amount of people inside but also still some seating left! (The crowd seems to come at around 1/2pm).Get the almond croissant!!! But also all the other desserts I had were amazing too. Can’t wait to come back to try their souffles (served after 4pm) and Mochi macaroons. Their taiwanese high mountain oolong tea was also delicious.
Theres tables inside and outside, as well as a bar where we got to watch a chef pull hard candy. Note that you cannot order the desserts a la carte from the dessert tasting menu. When I visited, they had not updated their menu to reflect that the assorted souffles had been replaced by strawberry mousse. My friends got the katsu sandwich, which was huge but a bit dry and tough to chew. The hojicha and coffee were good. We all shared the yuzu pound cake, 70% chocolate cake, chamomile mango mousse, shiso fromage mousse, and strawberry mousse. The yuzu pound cake was moist and definitely a highlight. The chocolate cake was more like fudge, a bit underwhelming. The chamomile mango mousse was great. The shiso fromage tasted a bit savory like the cheese foam at boba shops. The strawberry mousse was light and tart. I need to find out who their raspberry dealer is because the raspberry topping was excellent, not sour at all. All the desserts are not too sweet and quite pricey. Service was patient.
We went there last year. Deserts are just okay, nothing really special. They looks better than taste, so thats why its so overrated in this Instagram Era, people pay more attention to how it looks by others than how it tastes. The service is awful!!!! Those asian waitress are just so rude and careless. No idea why the Japanese lady has such a bad attitude. (Im Asian btw) It takes them 20 mins to refill hot water for my tea. You may think they are so busy, but they sure make time to give us the bill right after we only have a few bites on the deserts. They will keep rushing you and make you uncomfortable, so you just leave before you finish your deserts. My advice: just go to some other places because you deserve better than this one
Best Japanese-French style desserts in town. Great for dine in and take-out as well. (Great for surprise your friends for its delicacy and its taste)You can find a great effort in interior design, including the furniture, deco, etc.Light meal is also great, onion soup is almost the same I had in Japan.Hopefully it could change menu sometimes cuz I had to much of them, and still will go.
Great ambience and amazing selection of desserts. We stopped by randomly after dinner and chose the green tea tiramisu, Mango Mousse and Caramel cheese cake and they all did not disappoint. They also do high tea as well so we will definitely be back at some point to try.
Smoked Salmon Rice - 7/10The smoked salmon was so good, the quality of the fish was insane. However, I had to dock it some points because of the fish to rice ratio. In addition, it becomes kind of hard to eat because it becomes quite dry with no sauce.Tuna Tartare Rice - 8/10Although I am a bigger fan of smoked salmon, the tuna tartare stood out more. With the addition of being tossed in a sauce and the added guac, the tuna tartare had better mouthfeel and the textures mixed together way better. We got some desserts for takeout but they got messed up during transit 😭
I was so impressed with this place. Clean , romantic and quaint. I got 5 desserts to go that amounted to around $42.The Shiso fromage blanc mousse was my favorite! I loved that the desserts had unique flavors and that they weren’t overly sweet. Sophisticated, satisfying, and exotic desserts- loved it.
First off, let me say that the food was quite good. The pork katsu sando was superb, it had a nice texture with a great crunch. The flavor was on par with other more expensive places Ive been too. However the real star of the experience was the waitress/cashier. She was very nice from the start when I walked in. She was really patient, polite and even gave me recommendations that were exquisite. That employee was phenomenal and the food there was the icing on top. Overall 5/5 stars, would recommend, especially if you get that waitress!
Just heads up I am not a fan of weird flavor combos so with that...Flavor combos are gross. Gingerbread with nutella soufle is nasty. Cheesecake that could be good but ends up bitter and grainy throughout. Tirimasu not bad a bit heavy on the liquor.I would love to give this place a 4 because they do a pretty job on making the deserts look pretty. But aside that. Its not good. It doesnt taste like a french patisserie at all. And flavors could just get simpler and way better.
Well first of all,it’s all about your hard earned money.Read many reviews and set expectations to 3 stars and when I got there there were many people waiting in line for the outdoor sitting arrangement due to the Covid.Tried one of each mentioned in the reviews including the rice flour added loaf of bread.Understand this is French+Japanese mix fusion style however since there are many well known French/ Japanese bakery in the NYC this place was bit hard to justify high remarks and equivalent price. If you lived in NYC and ever traveled Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Korea etc. and taste the various bakery, this place will not satisfy your taste buds.Well you’ll never know until you try.
We ordered the sesame latte, yuzu lemonade, sesame apricot and green tea tiramisu verrines, the custard souffle, beef stew with koshihikari rice and Hokkaido soup curry. The beef stew was tasty but overly salted. The curry was also quite good. I preferred the yuzu lemonade over the sesame latte. Out of the 3 desserts, the best was the sesame apricot verrine. I also liked the green tea tiramisu. I wanted to try the strawberry shortcake but they were already sold out. The souffle was more like a cupcake.
Went to purchase some French pastries and all were basically sold out (6:00 pm). Honestly what’s the point of staying open until 10:00 pm, if you are not going to have any selection for your customers. Wasted my time traveling on the subway to then go home empty handed.
Im so excited about this place. After a failed attempt to be seated at the LRoom Cafe, I stumbled upon this place online. Every dessert seems to have interesting and thoughtful flavor combinations. I only have one stomach, so I have only tried the black currant chocolate cake, the caramel cake, and the miso pistachio bread. I love them all and cant wait to try the other offerings. The apricot cake was my first choice, but it was sold out at the time I visited.Details: small cafe with limited seating but offers pastries to-go. Price range is slightly lower than Dominique Ansel, so for this quality of dessert, its A+ on value. The style is elegant and not cutesy. I would prefer being taken on a date here over LRoom (and have informed my boyfriend, hahaha).
I was asked to close my laptop after 4pm cause it’s not the type of place where you can have a Laptop. If it was an evening time I would get but this place is classified as a bakery/coffee shop and solo costumer will might have their laptops especially in the afternoon. I didn’t like that place at all and their coffee is burned out.

2022-04-19Beautiful pastries and cozy space. Amazing afternoon tea menu without requiring a reservation. Savory items are great too. I wish they serve at their outdoor space instead of putting pastries in to-go boxes. Those are too delicate and beautiful to be eaten out of a box with plastic forks.

Not too sweet and thick amazing mouthfeel (take how u want). It was all edible except that gold plate, love that.Royal Oolong milk tea is also great and deep flavor, a fan.Everyone is nice here and the bathroom is pretty and clean.

2022-03-18Phenomenal in every way. This bakery really nails down the restaurant experience! We had various items from the dessert tastings, and they were all very inventive, beautiful, and best of all, delicious. My favorite on the dessert menu was the hojicha creme boule and the yuzu mimosa was amazing. The food and drinks came out quick and the service was very pleasant and efficient. The savory food was also very filling and satisfying.Plus, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are very generous, so plan accordingly! The only con was that I ended up ordering too much!I mean, look at the pictures. They tasted as good as they look!

2022-04-13A very nice and chic little spot for dessert or a small bite. Dessert selection is amazing and it’s just the right amount of sweetness! We tried their dessert tasting menu as well as the other desserts. We also tried the Katsu Sando sandwich and it’s very delicious. Definitely worth going.

2022-03-09Nice quaint little place. Ordered yuzu lemonade (good & sour), the smokey green tea (burnt flavor), the BLTA sandwich which was awesome, the vegetable curry (bland and watered down) and some desserts. Its a cute place, good service and good food. I think they missed on the flavoring on the curry. It tasted like water with curry spices (we had to add a bit of salt but it didnt help). They were nice to replace it but we declined and ordered the croissant sandwich which was very good. Not sure if it was the manager or owner but he told the chef about the curry.Good for a date spot with the ladies or S.O.

2022-02-25I recommend the tasting menu with the Yuzu sugar dessert! I did the sake pairing with it, they served the sake warm which I was not expecting, I was too embarrassed to ask whether it was supposed to be warm or not so I just drank it. We did have to wait about 20 min before we could get seated. The guy doing the waitlist was nice to us but then a new guy came and was being rude to the other customers unfortunately :(

2022-03-27Overall, savory food ordered as pretty good. Tuna tartare Sando is fresh with lots of onions with avocado and fresh greens. It came on two slices of 8 grain bread but the bread was a bit tough. Tuna is drenched in sauce as well which was a shame because it made it a bit salty for my taste. Egg salad Sando was good with little pickles inside for the extra crunchy. Was it something new and life changing? No but it was good for what it was, but it is a bit expensive.Their dessert was pretty good as well. Biggest disappointment was caramel cheesecake. It has a slight sour taste and the topping isnt crunchy. I thought it would be to add texture from the way it looks but it was soft and slightly dense/chewy. Button was also slightly soggy and I would not get that again, hence the star being knocked out. Please do get their strawberry mochi mousse. The mousse is creamy and light. I wished the mochi was bigger but the creamy mousse with that bite from the cookies crust was amazing. I wanted to lick my plate afterwards. The raspberries are really fresh as well!I brought chamomile mango mousse and had the same reaction. Chamomile is light and mango is the primary flavor (if you are like me and afraid of the floral taste). Cookie bottom is amazing with the delicious fresh mango taste. It also has white chocolate balls, which I didnt care much for but nevertheless, very yummy!I also brought strawberry shortcake verrines. It comes in a glass jar. There is meringue in there for some crunch and a strawberry center that I was not expecting. Overall its pretty good, but I personally do not know if I like the pink peppercorns, I can see why people do enjoy that part though because it adds an extra crunch and pop of taste. Please do try their kinako cookie. It is nutty and crumble the melts in your mouth that just makes you go mmmmm. Their yuzu cookie has a great tang that I will bring me back for more. Such tummy cookies!Definitely do try to go in and eat but their sweets did survive the trip home. Just note when you walk in, you dont just grab a seat. There is someone that will ask if you are dining in. If its crowded, youll have to wait and time can vary. They do have a small outdoor sitting area as well. And they dont do table service. You sit, look at the menu and go up to register to order. You can order savory first, pay then go up to the register to order dessert. You dont have to order in one go! Hope everyone tries going here once!

2021-08-08Absolutely gorgeous and tasty Japanese and French pastry shop. I love how you can see the chefs baking as you eat and and seating is so cozy nice inside. The desserts are so picturesque, almost too good to eat! Not too sweet, in true Asian fashion. My favorite was the Mont Blanc, the chestnut flavor was amazing, but I would recommend everything I ate today. Just order what catches your eye and it seems you can’t go wrong!

2021-11-22Stopped in here for a little sweet treat. This is a cute little place, with delicious unique pastries, many which are gluten free. It’s a small place and a bit hectic when it’s busy but the staff are eager to accommodate you. Outdoor seating it’s nicely warmed and actually easier to have a conversation because it’s not as loud as inside. Inside it’s kind of cramped and loud.

2021-12-12Joined them for brunch on a saturday morning.Their savory food menu opens at 11, so we sat down earlier to start with some tea and a croissant. For food, we ordered- garlic parmesan croissant- Soup Curry- Egg Truffle Saladand for drinks, hojicha tea.Hojicha tea was insanely good, definitely the tastiest green tea I have had so far.I was sad to hear that they dont sell the tea leaves🥲Croissant was very good too, and this is coming from me who is not a croissant person at all. Savory balance of garlic and parmesan went really well with buttery, flaky croissant.I enjoyed the egg truffle salad - when poured lightly, the dressing went really well with the fresh frisee and soft egg scrambles.
