I would highly recommend using Peace of Mind! They assisted with our local move and everything went smoothly. Sheila was flexible and helped to change our move date multiple times when our closing kept getting pushed back. Sam and the team that arrived on moving day were super efficient. Moving is always stressful, but Peace of Mind helped make the process a little less stressful for a very reasonable price.
They were excellent to work with even from the initial contact. We had a couple other estimates but they were definitely the most reasonable. They worked very quickly, made sure to wrap and protect anything to keep things from being damaged, and were nice throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!
Sam and Peace of Mind Movers were fantastic. They were on time, respectful, and incredibly efficient. They moved our entire three bedroom house in less than 4 hours. At no point did I see a single piece of furniture touch a wall. The level of service and professionalism far exceeded our expectations. Peace of Mind Movers has our highest recommendation.
Sheila and Sam were AMAZING to work with!! My husband and I have moved a ton over the last 10 years Peace of mind movers are HANDS DOWN THE BEST MOVING COMPANY WE HAVE USED!!! Sheila was quick to respond to my emails and their customer service was out of this world! Sam the owner came over to give us an estimate which we had two places to pick up our things and they had no problem with that. Not only was Sam and Sheila the most professional but also friendly and personalable. They were beyond reasonable price as well!! Sam not only was at our move with his crew but he was also helping actually moving our things with his 4 person crew! I highly recommend Peace of Mind Movers. They were prompt, professional, friendly and courteous. They listened to our needs, and went out of their way to assist us. They handled our belongings with great care and mindful of the clean carpet! We were incredibly impressed by them. Very hard workers.
We worked with Sam Marroquin and his team for four days during a two week period of time. They were personable, obliging, and handled our belongings with the utmost care. Sam and Shiela are the best! Our son came home to Texas from his college in NY for spring break 2020 and without warning the school shut down. We had to move his things out of the dorm. There was a travel ban so we could not get there, plus everything was locked down. POMM was highly recommended to us. We could not reach anyone from housing at the university in order to give Sam and Shiela permission to go into his room to move him out. But Shiela made it happen by reaching someone at the university on her own. They packed while FaceTiming with us on the phone and moved everything into storage. We used POMM again to move him out of storage and back to the dorm. They were more than patient with my son and the lack of information that we needed from the university to set a move in date! You cant go wrong with Peace of Mind Movers!
Sam and his team of guys are courteous, clean and hard workers. They make the hardest jobs seem simple! This was my first experience with using them, but it will not be the last. They are the only company we will ever use to move! My compliments to Sam and his team of guys for a job well done! The Peace of Mind Movers were the best thing that happened to my long drawn out 4 month multi-state move situation. From Lisa in the office to the two men they sent with the truck, they were timely, communicative, professional, and 100% meticulously careful with all of my belongings. The final bill and estimate matched up as expected. I plan on using them again, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a positive moving experience.
This past June my realtor recommended Peace of Mind Movers. His suggestion was spot-on. Peace of Mind made moving easy and the name of the business is precisely what I experienced. Sam gave me an honest estimate, the movers were both energetic and careful picking up and repositioning items. Moving is invariably unpleasant, but having honest professionals involved went a long way in mitigating much of the stress.
If I could give less stars I would. We were scheduled for an afternoon move for next month. I just got a phone call from the office manager, she said that they had a move cancel in the morning so they would be moving our move up to the morning. That did not work for us because we have to work that morning. I said that we were scheduled for the afternoon for a reason, I originally wanted the day after but it was not available so I agreed to the day before because they could move us in the afternoon. The office manager was extremely rude and said that I was not being very flexible, and that we should just cut ties right then. I said so you are cancelling our move even though you are the one that put us on your schedule for that day and time? She said again that I was not being flexible. How can I be flexible if I have to work in the morning that day...? we are 4 weeks away from our move and now I have to scramble. The owner that came to do the estimate was very nice but I can not understand why he would want an office manager like that representing his business, she was rude, shouted at me, interrupted me, and expected me to just change our move for them. We are the customer. We are paying for their service. Its not my job to make their day more convenient. they whole purpose of a moving company is to make a stressful time easier and Peace of Mind Moving Company has made it worse for me and my family.
The team here was phenomenal! They were extremely hard working and were flexible in adding an additional pickup location the day of the move. They wrapped all furniture and now that we have unloaded everything, I can say nothing broke. The care they took in moving all the boxes ensured my items remained intact.
The movers were courteous and moved everything in a timely fashion from my third floor apt to my new home. There was a small incident which the owner addressed immediately. I would recommend Peace of Mind to anyone who wants quality service.
They just left our house and I couldn’t be happier! They where very polite, on time and on budget. Everything was moved with care, properly put back together and they put everything right where we wanted it. I had to cancel last minute the week before and Sam the owner was great accommodating a new date that would work for us. Thanks I will recommend you to anyone that I can!
I reached out to Peace of Mind after seeing their good reviews and was promptly responded to and scheduled for a visit/quote. The day of the move the team of 3 men were right on schedule and immediately introduced themselves and got straight to work. They hung furniture pads on the doors and walls and laid them down on the floor. If they werent sure about whether something was coming or not they simply asked instead of just leaving it on the floor. At the new address they unloaded quickly and even moved a couch into the basement that required removing 2 doors. They put both doors back on as well. The whole process from start to finish only took two hours and the price was even slightly under estimate.
Sam and Sheila truly care about their clients. They have great follow up and explain the process thoroughly. Their employees were excellent during our move, all of them were super friendly and respectful of our belongings. I highly recommend this small business for your next move!!
Great company to work with! The owner personally came out a month before we moved to look at all of our stuff and give us an accurate quote. He came on the day of the move with three other guys and they were super efficient and professional. The move ended up actually be less money than the original quote because they did it faster than expected.
VERY disappointed! PLEASE be aware of LOW BALL pricing. if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.Sam, the owner came out to estimate our move and said it would take 1 truckload possibly 2.- It took 3 truck loads from their smallish enterprise rental truck.- They moved 2 loads on Thursday and delivered the 3rd load 2 days later on Saturday.-Sam estimated between $800 and $1100. The grand total was $1700! Almost double.- The estimate was An hourly rate for 4 “men” three men came out who worked very hard and the fourth was the wife of the owner who clearly wasn’t able to work at the same capacity as the men.-I asked 3 times for Wardrobe containers. They never brought them - So they wrapped up about 7 loads of clothes in their floor blankets, which are currently piled in a heap on our bedroom floors.-I contacted them twice and shared our concerns and asked if they would be willing to offer a Financial compensation for the above. Never even have the courtesy to respond. If they had responded and said geez we really messed up, let’s split the difference. I would have a much different feeling and a much different review. :-(
I’ve moved a few times over the past couple years and Peace of Mind Movers were by far the best movers I’ve had. There was great communication, they were on time, extremely efficient, and conscientious. They made something stressful like moving an easy, blessed experience. Thank you!!!!!
Sam and his crew did a terrific job moving my entire house into a 2BR 2.5 Bath apartment! They packed everything with care and moved efficiently and carefully. I had a LOT of artwork to move and nothing was damaged. Very respectful company!
Sent too small a truck Broken furniture. Items brought to wrong place (there were to be 2drp off locations) poor job of packing storage facility. Pros nice movers work really hard. I will be able to rate more completely when I see how they resolve my damages.
This moving company was the first moving company that delivered my goods promptly and carefully. They obviously operate with a lot of integrity. Thank you very much. I recommend this company highly. Wish I could give a Zero for professionalism of the owner. To start... The owner himself came to my town home to view what would need to be moved. Gave me a quote which was extremely reasonable considering the other prices I was getting. No communication or guidance on how things needed to be packed. No communication about how to label things etc. They arrived on time, the guys were all extremely nice, pleasant and extremely hard workers. Heres where things went south. Even though the owner himself came to look at my place and saw what needed to be moved he failed to get a truck big enough to take everything. Several items were left behind for me to go back and get... Then once I start unpacking and trying to get settled I start noticing things. My $3000 bedroom furniture (the main reason for hiring a mover) was all dinged up and many nicks out of the wood. There were a few prior to the move that I took pictures of in the event more were added I had proof of what they did vs. what was already there. The dresser that they delivered to my sons bedroom fell apart the second I opened one of the drawers. The hutch wasnt put together. Boxes in the garage and basement were just thrown in huge piles in the corners with no rhyme or reason for how or where they were put. The mover that did the final paperwork with me didnt explain anything that I was signing, didnt explain I needed to take a look around and make sure nothing was damaged etc... He just pointed to where I needed to sign and they hurried out the door. In communicating my dissatisfaction with the owner via email about the price being off, things being left and the damage he turned it around on me and said I didnt have things packed properly... Everything was in boxes except things that couldnt be put in boxes... How do you properly pack a safe? How about a mirror on a pedestal? How are you supposed to pack tall floor lamps? All left behind along with several totes, boxes a cooler, pictures, computer, stereo equipment etc. 4 total trips I had to take with my crv to get everything they had left and theres still a few things there that I have to get this week. He said that his guys went above and beyond bringing things to the front yard that I was having brought to the dumpster after 4 days earlier telling me it would be no problem for them to do this Three of the items that were brought to the dumpster were supposed to be moved to the new location and would have never fit in the truck they showed up in. IF anything I did him a favor by trashing those items because they wouldnt have gotten moved. He actually made the comment that they would have to charge me for a second trip if everything didnt fit?!?!?! REALLY!!! Not the customers fault you didnt bring the right size truck. Might be worth the investment to have one of your workers get his CDL so you can rent a bigger truck. Yes I said rent... This company doesnt own their own truck they rent it... Extremely dissatisfied with this company especially the communication. If I would have known I would have spent most of my day Saturday taking trips picking up my stuff I would have paid the extra and used a different company. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra couple hundred dollars and use someone else.
4-15-2018: Ive used Peace of Mind Movers twice and had a great experience both times. First was a local move in Rochester, second was Rochester to Buffalo. The price was reasonable, the guys showed up on time, were courteous and hard working, and no damage to my items or the dwelling.
Absolutely TERRIBLE. OK lets start....I was quoted 750 - 950 and was re-quoted at the end of move 1850.00.They said they would work with me on the price and charged me 1350.00.When I stopped at the apartment I was moving from at 10:30 AM they were almost finished. They didnt get my new house until 6:30. Dont know what happen for 7 hours BUT I could have moved myself in that time. They broken my desk right in half, scratched my thousand dollar dresser, broke a brick on my front step. They had to finish the move the next day!They owner called me because I was mad (every right to be) and gave me 300 bucks back and was suppose to call me back the following day to explain what happen to his guys for that 7 hours (never did) I had to call him and he still didnt say what happen. Told me I can pick up the check on that Saturday anytime before 2. Went there and NO-ONE was there. Finally got the check. Took them 2 weeks to replace desk (still havent delivered it) PLAYING PHONE TAG.HOW DO YOU QUOTE 750 - 950 AND TRY CHARGING 1850.00.THIS HAS 100% NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MONEY.... ITS HOW POORLY ALL OF THIS WAS HANDLED.VERY POOR COMPANY AND POOR COMMUNICATION

HORRIBLE. 60 inch TV went missing. Furniture broken. Furniture assembled incorrectly. They lost all the hardware for my furniture when they disassembled it so they improvised with hardware much too small for furniture. Each day I find something else broken or that falls apart and I havent even been in this new house for 10 days. I have never had such a TERRIBLE experience. Stay far away from these people or else risk losing your stuff.
I needed help moving items inside my mothers home, I called on a Monday morning for help THAT DAY. They accommodated our needs and did a great job. I would use them again, and recommend this business!!

2019-04-22Received several quotes and Peace of Mind Movers were the most professional and reasonably priced. The day of the move 4/20/19 they were on time and took care to wrap the dressers and use drop clothes to protect the floors. I was impressed that the owners were on site and assisting. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and handled all our things with care. Highly Recommend!

2019-05-29Peace of Mind handled our downsizing local home move and were such great folks to work with. Sam and his crew needed to spread the move over 2 days because of changes in our schedule. We were concerned about this but it worked fine because of Sams commitment to the job. The crew worked quickly but carefully. After 32 years in one location, we had lots to move; every aspect of the move was done professionally and with care of our home and possessions. I would use Peace of Mind with absolutely no hesitation in the future. My prime concern was the move being done professionally with care and on schedule. Those needs were met and exceeded and at a very fair price. I cannot think of nicer folks to handle this very difficult job. As a testament to the care taken is this example: In the process of unpacking, we began replacing items in a large, heavy china cabinet that had been moved. Inside we found a vase that we failed to remove before the move. It was still in perfect condition!Thanks Sam and Peace of Mind Movers!

2018-09-10We hired Peace of Mind Movers to help us move from on house into another. We had debated about hiring a moving company, but it was the best decision we ever made. The office staff was accommodating and understanding. The movers were friendly, respectful, and extremely efficient. 2020-01-29Peace of Mind Movers were very professional. They worked fast but careful. They moved our son out of his apartment back home which was an emotional day for us as he has special needs. We didnt feel rushed when they had to wait for him to be ready to leave his room. I honestly cant say enough positive things about this company. They were great! Highly recommend?
