Honest and talented beyond measure. I highly recommend Peak Construction, without hesitation. Finally a construction company you can trust- and gets the job done better than imagined. Bill Metzger, the owner, personally came over to our house and saw the damage done by a previous contractor. He explained the problem, the remedy, and even that the other contractor was responsible by law to correct his mistake . Bill saved us thousands of dollars- and didnt charge a thing! Then, we came across an unrelated plumbing problem, and again I contacted Peak and spoke with Bill again. Not only did he remember our house, but when I explained a local plumber was trying to charge us $7000 for rusted out pipes and a new pressure regulator, Bill told me our pipes were PVC and our water pressure could not possibly be what the plumber claimed! He even sent me a picture of a water pressure gauge, where to get one, and had me test the water pressure- and Bill was right! We saved 7k on top of the 5k mistake he caught from the previous contractor. We wish we found Peak sooner. Weve recommended Peak Construction to family and colleagues- and the work done is always outstanding. Architectural Digest level. And Peak Construction works with Insurance companies (which other contractors wont do- its a headache). Bill and his team at Peak Construction are heaven sent, and we will never go anywhere else.
With many issues with my kitchen, from mold removal to a total remodeling of kitchen, the long process was made easier by Peak Construction. I was very impressed with the completed new kitchen, workers were very professional. When friends & family saw the kitchen they were so impressed by the quality of the work. I know when I need more work to be done, I am definitely have Peak do the job.
We had Peak Construction come and clean our house after a Chimney fire and the three men they sent were so professional, excellent cleaners, kind, hard working and made putting our house back together a joy! I cannot say enough about Peak Construction, they arrived immediately and they worked hard and my house has never looked better. We want everyone to two they do an excellent job, exceeding our expectations. We had less, Patrick and C working on our house, THE BEST!
We started our new construction of a complete home build. We broke ground right before the pandemic hit. Building a home is daunting enough and then throwing in a pandemic and material shortages we feared we would never get this completed in a timely matter! Bill and his team were able to get us in a week before Christmas so we could spend it in our new home with our kids. I would be lying to you if I said there werent any issues that came up but in the end we were always able to communicate and work them out. We spent almost 9 months building a 3000plus square foot house with attached garage and perhaps the biggest testament would be that I would choose peak and do it all again if we build another house. Rick my project manager was always available for us and facilitated all moving parts as seamlessly as he could. He became more of a friend than business acquaintance. Do your homework and choose the right contractor for the job.
We hired Peak to replace two sections of carrying beams in our basement and redo the parging on the exterior of our house. The team of Joe, Luis, and John were professional, courteous, and performed the repairs with a high level of workmanship. They also went above and beyond in patching some minor masonry cracks in the basement. Finally, they showed up when they said they would, which is much more than we can say about numerous other contractors we had contacted when trying to get quotes for the project.Overall, we are very happy with the work done and would gladly work with Peak on future projects.
We have just experienced a beautiful transformation in our recently purchased home. This could not have been possible without our contracting Peak construction to orchestrate the work to be done. Chris Riehley was extremely helpful and patient with all of our concerns, questions and ideas. He did his best to work within our budget. All the work was done in the time promised. The team of workers were talented, polite and professional. Thanks to Peak the house now feels and looks like our Dream Home. The Hendersons
We hired them for a major remodeling project and it was nothing but problems. Construction took much longer than originally planned, they spilled paint and stained one carpet, they made a mess cutting dry wall and never cleaned it up. Its been a few years now and their poor quality is showing. We just had to pay another contractor to fix a leaking door because they didnt put any sealant in! We had to have an electrician come to fix lights and plugs that dont work correctly. Cracks are appearing in the ceiling that we have to get fixed too.I do not recommend them at all!
Had a burst pipe and Peak was recommended by our insurance company and now I understand why. Patrick and his team were the best! Super fast response - so polite and kind, clean, and the highest quality work. I highly recommend if you have the chance to work with Patrick, you are getting one of the best around! Thanks so much for the great job!
Peak Construction has done numerous projects at my home and I give them 5 stars for great work.Joe, Luis, Renny, Matt and Rob have all worked for me and I wouldnt trust anyone else in my home. Fast, neat, quick cleanup and superior workmanship.Chris does an excellent job of estimating and coordinating the project and getting it done on time. All around good company to work with.
I had my main bathroom gutted and re-done with Peak Construction in the spring of 2016. The work was finished up today, and I have to say that I am over the top happy with the entire experience. From the estimate, to the last light bulb going in, there was meticulous attention to every detail, and obvious excellent communication between everyone involved in this project. Whenever I had a question or concern, Chris always answered his phone personally, before the 3rd ring. He spoke to me in a patient, professional manner and was up front about every detail. The demo team, Patrick and Jamie were on time, friendly, and worked very quickly and neatly. They even let me take a few swings with the sledgehammer! They left my house cleaner than when they started working! Then it was Joe and Louis turn to put everything back together. Again, they were on time, friendly, efficient, and worked neatly. Every time I had a question or concern, they stopped and addressed it with me. Everyone who worked on my project gave me their cell number so I could contact them readily at any time if needed. After dealing with way too many shoddy contractors, what a nice feeling to have found a company with integrity, accountability, and mostly- they do a great job! My new bathroom is gorgeous, and I am 110% thrilled with it!! I am looking at doing my kitchen over next, and I would not think of calling anybody except Peak Construction to do the work. I highly recommend this company for any of your construction or remodeling projects. 10 stars out of 5- They are off the scale good. No kidding.
Where do I start. After getting hit with the big storm almost 3 years ago, Peak was hired thru my parents insurance company. I had to get involved (I’m the son) after Peak Construction took complete advantage of my elderly parents. Two years later the work was started after the roof leaked over and over causing mold. They over charge for cheap work and outsource local help. Over $68k in repairs, they found out we had mold coverage of $10k and used all $10k to fix a $2000. I say this with years of experience in construction, my father is a retired architect so we know our stuff. CROOKS and LIARS, this is my first review ever, that’s how bad they are. We had to fire them mid way thru the work and after the insurance company reviewed the repairs they were appalled and we were credited back 80 percent of the the repair payments. Yes 80 percent, that’s means everything they did was wrong. Roof still leaked after new roof, Painted over mold, tried to hide water damage with paint, thinned the bathroom paint so much it’s sweats when you take a shower. This is basic stuff that any “pro” should be able to do. We had another company come out and finish the whole job in 3 weeks.Example of how bad. They charged $627 to paint the attic access hatch. It’s a 3x4 door that was already painted just dirty. Needed another coat for $627CO
Great job! I was so nervous as a first time home owner to have my first major project done. Peak Construction held my hand and made me comfortable from day one. We are so pleased with the results . The team was great! Very professional and reliable. Starting with Christopher with our estimate and the team on site. Joe, Luise, and Matt thanks for making this a quick and as painless as can be process.
I hired Peak for a chimney fire reconstruction project. They were great to work with. The project manger Chris did a great job of working with me and the insurance company. The project team of Joe, Luis and Dalton were fantastic. Im very happy with the quality of work they performed.
Peak Construction bailed me out of two water-related disasters, (!) did beautiful repair work in a timely manner. But in the last job they did for me, my opinion has changed. The insurance companys claim adjuster was out of town and the project manager took on the role of claims adjuster. Since I had used Peak before, I did not object. This time however, the project manager incorrectly assessed the job of repairing my leaking roof. He claimed that the cause of the leak was that the skylight was no longer waterproof. He put in writing that my double-paned, industrial grade skylight was made of plexiglas, misinterpreted condensation into the collection trays, part of the skylight design, as water leaking from outside in, tripled the estimate to remove the skylight and make the repair. Other roofers and an onsite inspection by the architect, determined that in fact the skylight was not leaking, that there was a wear and tear problem with the original underlayment. Peak did a minimal patch repair of the roof for an extra charge and painted the interior of the room on the insurance companys dime. The roof again leaked within months. Now the job will be done properly, roof covering removed and replaced for less than Peaks estimate to remove the skylight and repair. This was mess was caused by an inaccurate assessment from Peak Construction and was compounded by shoddy work. I can no longer recommend Peak Construction.
We are very pleased with the work that was done by Peak Construction. Your employees Loren and Stuart were professional and knowledgeable. They are an asset to your company as well as the gentlemen that repaired my carpeting. We will recommend Peak Construction to others.
In January of this year, I hired Peak Construction to remodel my basement. I had previously been in contact with them about 6 months prior but had been looking at all my options and was not ready to move forward. Finally, come January of this year, I contact the them again, got an updated quote and my wife and I decided it was time to move forward and that Peak would be the best people to handle the work.At first, everything went smoothly. Unfortunately, that did not last for long. Throughout the process we ran into countless issues and when these issues were brought to Peaks attention, they were dismissed or brushed aside.First, we were told the project would take roughly 4 weeks to complete. The project actually took twice that long. There were some unfortunate and unavoidable delays, but the communication was very poor. We were constantly kept in the dark, and on most days, we had no idea if anyone would even be showing up to do any work. Now, it should be noted that our job was contracted out (this was unbeknownst to us and perhaps this is standard practice in this industry and for jobs that are smaller). None the less, it would have been nice to know. We hired Peak to do the work, not someone else.Second, Peak failed to take proper precautions in regards to the cleanliness of the house. During the sanding process, they failed to properly isolate and secure the basement such that my entire living room and the floor above it (containing the kitchen and dining room) were covered in a thin layer of white sheet rock dust. When we brought this to the attention of Peak the only response we got was that it was not harmful and wed be fine. This did not address the 4-6 hours it took me to clean everything off including dozens of my kids toys. To make matters worse, after this all happened and was brought to their attention, it happened a second time (and was also dismissed).Third, as indicated above, the work was contracted out to multiple people. The framing and sheet rock to one person, the electric to another, and the carpeting to another. The electrical work consisted of rewiring some outlets, cleaning up the wiring and also running CAT6 drops. Well, apparently the electrician failed to label any of the drops (there were over a dozen). Second, the gang boxes were improperly installed (either being too shallow or sticking out of the walls too far). There were other minor issues as well, and the sum of all issues just lead to a very sour experience. My wife and I have quite a few additional projects we want to get done, and unfortunately, we will be looking somewhere else to have this work done.My wife and I put a great deal of time in effort into researching our options and we were very optimistic about this project. Unfortunately, the end result was very disappointing. Now I take part of the blame because it appears I should have asked more questions or kept a closer watch on things. Thats fine. What is even more disappointing than the poor work is the lack of response from Peak concerning these issues (even after feedback that they requested was sent).Perhaps we just got unlucky with our project.Update: 8/8/2018Shortly after posting my review, the owner of Peak Construction contacted me regarding my review. He offered to stop by my house to discuss the situation. Roughly 1 week later, as discussed, he came by.Unfortunately, I had already addressed many of the issues by that point, and others were just not feasible to address. None the less he offered to do what he could to make the situation better. He addressed a few of the smaller issues and also offered to try and compensate me for some of the time I wasted resolving some of the other issues. I needed some shelves put up to hold my home theater equipment. He took care of this for me.He could have simply ignored my review and brushed it off as some random, disgruntled customer. Instead, he took the feedback and complaints of a single customer and he took them seriously. He went out of his way to try and make the situation right.
Peak remodeled our 2nd floor bathroom. The room was completely gutted to the studs and subfloor; all insulation was checked and gaps were refilled. Stuart and Lorin were extremely neat, clean and pleasant, minimizing disruption during the project even while removing substantial bagged debris. They checked with us as work progressed throughout the project to ensure our full satisfaction. We chose natural stone accent tiles that required special detailed cuts which Stuart performed flawlessly.Representative Mark Carson gave us an accurate quotation and checked in on the job periodically. We recommend Peak Construction for home remodeling projects.
I am very pleased that my insurance company chose Peak to take care of extensive damages to the roof which in turn caused significant damage to the inside of my house as well. From the moment they started to the end, they clearly showed how committed to they were. They are professional and friendly and went above and beyond to get remodeling completed quickly and in a timely manner. I could not be happier. Thank you to all of you.
PEAK = Perseverance, Persistence, Patience and Pride. That’s how we would describe Carl and Lenard for their efforts remodeling our bathroom. It’s a challenge when you have a bathroom built in the 70’s and the room is not square. They took their time to insure the final product met their standards before turning the room over to us for use. The workmanship displayed by Carl and Lenard is indicative of Peak Construction and their employees. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate using Peak again in the future and we highly recommend if you are looking for a general contractor, Call Peak Construction first.Don & Deb Swanerbury
Shared a beautiful day in the sun with some associates for Peak Construction and a ribbon cutting ceremony. Quality firms like Peak provide not only quality construction services here in the Hudson Valley Region , but also a great number of jobs for those living and working in our local communities. Congratulations on 25 years of growth !
I had some water damage from a leak in my upstairs bathroom. I had Peak come in to do the restoration, and now it looks like nothing ever happened. Excellent work! Very thorough. They worked well with my insurance company and fought for the little things that werent in the insurance estimate. Highly recommended!
Peak has been doing such a great job on the exterior site work, which led me to hire them to finish the interior carpentry work. One thing I have found especially helpful is the professionalism and responsiveness that the entire Peak team has provided through the various new construction home projects. Damien (Fishkill NY)
I am interested in making some upgrades to my house and asked the Peak Construction rep Danielle Place for some help. She sent a guy to my house, he took measurements, drew sketches. I had a well written proposal with a fair price in my hand in 4 days. I will go with them just as soon as I get the money together.
Renny and Rob from Peak Construction spent a week working in my condominium to repair ice damming damage and to then paint anew. They were simply fantastic workers---professional, quiet, respectful of the surroundings, and as unobtrusive as could be. I give them a FIVE STAR rating! Thank you
Fast, reliable, professional and friendly service. Nathan, Patrick, Renny and Luis (along with another water mitigation man I forgot to make note of) were careful about working in our home and accommodate our schedule too. Due to their excellent manner, we had extra work performed beyond the scope of our insurance claim.
Had Peak reside my house several years ago … what a mistake. Sloppy work, shoddy workmanship, no jobsite cleanup, no communication, personal property damaged by Bills subcontractor crews, tons of excuses from Bill as to why things were screwed up … and to top it off he has pictures of the job posted on his website. I do wish he had the pictures of the electrical connections held together with tape, the gutters filled with broken brick and left, the shutters reinstalled out of square, the crushed ridge vent, the improperly installed garage trim packages and a host of other examples of his craftsmanship. Run, dont walk from this firm it is the poster child for bad contractors.
I had an upstairs pipe break while i was out. 6 areas were damaged by water. The guys at Fishkill came immediately, with some coming from home. They stayed till 12 a.m. setting up equipment. They saved this home. They also had to deal with my limited circuit panel. Mark & Matt have my gratitude forever.
Just RUDE! I am purchasing my mothers home through a SONYMA loan, and called these guys out for an estimate. I sent over an email of the inspectors list of needed repairs, and had an appointment. They rescheduled the meeting due to rain which was fair enough, since some repairs were outside... Simple stuff: new chimney cap, debris around the property, steps for a back door. etc. When they did come out, the guy was very rushed! As I had explained on the phone when making the appointment, that in addition to needed repairs there is other things we wanted done. I didnt even get half way through the inner walk through, when this guy was like, OK, I think I got what I need, Ill be in touch, and left! A few hours later, I get an email saying that the project far exceeds my budget (funny, I never mentioned what that was), and that they werent interested in the job (cant recall saying I was hiring you, your job was to tell me how much these repairs could cost)! All in all, a shady rude operation! If this is how they act over an estimate, Id hate to see what their contract negotiations look like!
Excellent customer service, prompt communication and scheduling. A HUGE Thank you to Carl Stillman and Peter Grant for an outstanding job, very professional, top notch work, clean work area and very friendly. Highly recomend this company and these two highly skilled and efficient employees. Carl and Peter are a GREAT asset to the company.

2022-05-11I commend Peak Construction and two men in particular: Patrick McLaughlin and Lawrence Murray- for the high quality workmanship done in my townhome. I had to have work done after water damage and this company go the job done in a timely fashion, with excellent workmanship and high quality professionalism. The list of items is long but for the main work they: cleaned, drywalled, painted one third of my downstairs wall, repaired the water damage in my bedroom and hallway, put in new flooring in my kitchen and bathroom, put in a backsplash, and did all the painting. Rennys work is meticulous and exactly what was needed! This is an excellent company with two fine professionals!

2021-01-02We hired Peak after a tree fell on our house and did a great deal of damage. From our initial meeting with Chris we knew we were in good hands. Stephanie, Joe and Luis were very kind, extremely easy to work with, and always professional. They also followed all precautions during covid and did timely and very good work. They completed work in a timely manner and we were very pleased, It was indeed a pleasure to work with each person involved in the process. i would happily recommend this company.

2021-09-28We had major water damage several years ago, and Peak was recommended by the insurance company. Huge mistake to go with them. They subcontracted much of the work out and did very poor work in some cases, especially with the painting and plumbing. It was always clear to me that the work on my house was not a priority. Im still finding problems with the work they did--we recently discovered that some of the plumbing for 2 vanities was improperly connected with plumbers tape rather than proper soldering! Now we have a leak...I have reached out to their customer service about the recent plumbing issue and have not yet received a response.

2021-11-01Peak worked with us to finish the basement including a bathroom in our new house. Jason was organized and was accessible by email to answer questions and provide updates regarding time lines for various parts of the project. Even during a pandemic the job moved forward efficiently.

2021-06-29We were referred to Peak Construction for an insurance claim we had due to a tree that fell on our house during a storm. We could not have been happier with their work and the way they handled the claim. Chris Riehle communicated with the insurance company every step of the way and made our lives so much easier as we luckily had never had a claim to this extent before. He took the pressure off us and kept us informed of the status every step of the way which was greatly appreciated.Their associates and contractors are all very professional and their work is meticulous. We will definitely use Peak for any future home improvement projects we have.Thank you Peak Construction for a job well done in getting our home put back together.Brian and MaryRose Cleary

2021-06-01Peak began our major master bath remodel project late August 2020 and completed the job in January 2021. They handled all of the construction, electrical, plumbing and some of the tile work. Given the pandemic and tile delivery delays by the tile vendor they still managed to expeditiously move the job along. We did not provide Eric, the project manager, with any formal architectural plans but he did not find that an impediment, working from my drawings and measurements. The crew showed up to work when scheduled and let us know in advance of any possible delays. All were professional, polite, willing to answer questions and cheerfully accommodated a few changes we decided to make. We are extremely satisfied with this company and can recommend them without reservation.

2020-07-21We had a car run into our house and had Peak referred to us. Within 10 minutes we were made to feel like we were in good hands. That started with Danielle while I was on my way home to deal with police, fire, and the building inspector. Chris the project manager, called me asking me the details and had a crew at my house within an hour or so. Joe and Louis came to the house and from that second on I knew that we had no worries about our choice. Not only was this a night mare of a car in the house but a company that we have never dealt with before but this was also the beginning on COVID lock down. I meet with Chris the next day to go over the next steps and it happened just like he said. Stephanie got all the permits taken care of right away and the work began. We were worried that like the stories you hear about the contractor showing up once and never again, that was no issue. They were on site continuously until the job was done. Everyone that came to our home was professional, respectful and a complete dream to work with and that was not just The Peak team but their sub contractors like Joe the electrician as well. I can honestly say that the next time I need any contracting work done, or if anyone I know needs work done I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Peak team!!!! They are a GREAT HARD WORKING TEAM that gets the job done right!!! Thank you for making a night mare just a bad dream!

2019-11-22A leak in an upstairs bathroom caused damage to our garage ceiling and required a total renovation of the bathroom as well. PEAK was recommended by our insurance company and they performed all of the repair work in a very well-organized manner. always respectful of our property and ourselves. The crew members worked as a team, and were very kind and professional. They were well-directed and performed their work very efficiently. The new garage ceiling looks better than new and we couldnt be more delighted with the results of the bathroom renovation. We are so relieved to have the project completed in such an efficient and high quality manner, with a minimum amount of disruption to our daily routines. Thank you, PEAK!

2021-06-03We used Peak Construction to replace our floor. Renny and Fred did an outstanding job. The floor looks beautiful, we are very happy with their professional work.
