I wont even give them a star for their service! I was just there for a delivery pick up. I understood that the staff members were busy, and so I stood and waited directly in front of the counter for about 7 minutes waiting to pick up a delivery. So mind that I wasnt even there as a customer. As soon as they were ready to assist customers, the staff member ignored me and assisted the customer behind me. Hint, the customer was Ecuadorian and I was not. So go figure. By the way, this was not the first time I had to visit this establishment for a pick up. Horrible service!
I had heard good things about this place. When I got there I had to wait 45 minutes with my girlfriend for them to bring our food. It took them 45 minutes to tell us that the order ticket machine was down. When we asked why others that came after us, as we waited for 45 minutes got their food, the waitress was very unprofessional and rude. It was then that she mentioned that their order machine was down. It really took them 45 minutes to make us aware. Then she argued with my girlfriend and advised us that we where free to leave if we wanted too.Instead of being polite and apologizing for their issues she kicked us out.One star is clearly to high for this review as I could not give them 0 stars for crappy service.
Hey fellows! Please check! when you order on Tuesdays Sopa de Tostones o Carne Guisada the meat is the cheapest and worst in the market. I buyed to take it out, all meat ends in the garbage. I can not eat it!Very cheap ingredients, the worst of the worst.Do not spent your money in such a place!!!
While I’d usually give this place 5 stars for excellent food, I’m dropping this rating to 2 stars. Why? Because some nasty woman gave my husband a hard time when picking up the food. I CLEARLY said grilled chicken and what happened, she gave us breaded. So my husband went in to pick up the food, he said to the woman at the register that we ordered grilled, not breaded chicken and then she started arguing with him on what we ordered. Like, WHO does that? The customer is ALWAYS right! Why are you arguing with us? Regardless, we are paying for what we want, not for what you THINK we want. Now, did this lady just simply say, “Oh no problem sir, I’ll switch it to grilled.” Nope! Instead she argued some more and said she’s getting the manager. Seriously? My husband walked outta there so fast. So they lost out on two orders. It will be a VERY VERY long time before I order from these rude people again. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
I know the pandemic had a big impact on restaurants,. But having 1 worker taking care of phone calls , serving orders , picking up plates and take care of the walking in costumers is unacceptable.... is time to bing a second person to help you other the worker ... the wait time is ridiculous......
Love this place! Best cheesy bread and arepas con queso y carne asada! I just dont like the fact that they are super stingy with the hot sauce, and pink sauce when you order take out. They only give you one (also one kind only) and make you pay .50 cents for any other. Thats why they only get 4 stars.
Ive been here several times for empanadas and pan de bono only, never had their prepared dishes but they look delicious, just like the empanadas.it is a family run restaurant and you can see that from the moment you walk in. The service is good and the prices are ok, the only problem I have is that they require a $10 minimum for card payment, which I think its absurd, they prefer to not sell $5 or $7 for the small fee they have to pay per transaction. Coffee is not so good but you can come here for other stuff, the cheese bread is also very good especially when it just came out of the oven. The restaurant is small and it can be crowded at times in the morning
I never give 5 stars, it keeps them on their toes. That being said, I live in Jackson Heights where the Colombian food is great. This is a great breakfast spot, arepa con queso with juevos pericos are great. Also had the arroz con Pollo for lunch, pretty good! Pretty lady taking your order doesnt hurt :-)
Best Colombian spot, its the closest to actual Colombian seasoning, its a family business and I always feel at home, the bakery its phenomenal, arepas are sooooo good! Bandeja paisa is the best and dont forget empanadas and almojabanas. Best Colombian restaurant in LI
Colombian food is very rich, especially the typical tray and its juices or smoothies. I wish it was bigger. Sometimes it gets crowded and there is nowhere to sit. The attendant is very nice and helpful. Always with a friendly smile ☺️. Thank you Pecosa, very rich everything.
The food is very good but I am reporting that the waitress who serves people is not a pleasant waitress. She is always treating people badly and is very abusive and impulsive every time she appears very rude and pedantic, she is skinny white skin color and is very very skinny and bony short hair is the only one who has been attending the front as at the tables, I do not recommend that you deal with it since it is like that. Senora owner throw it away and put another one that she is doing is running the customers.
I used to frequent this place with my family, we came back after the pandemic, I ordered an arepa with melted cheese, not butter and a pork rind, the pork rind was dark brown in color, it looked like plastic when I bit the arepa I didnt dare to bite it after sending it to get a little more fire to toast it told me that it would not make a difference because it was heated in the microwave, what happened ??? Change of management ???
I have visited this place three times because the food seems good to me. But the three times it was a bad experience the first time it took around 40 minutes to bring us the food the second time it was 30 minutes so much so that I had to leave before they gave it to me the third time it was worse the cashier watches me standing waiting for to take my order and other people come and take care of them first, I ask for an arepa with cheese and it turns out that I had a hair. Bad Bad bad service and Cleanliness. I do not recommend it.I have visited this place three times because the food seems good to me. 2022-03-28Very nice, friendly and patient service. First time there and the lady was super patient with my lengthy time in ordering and indecision. The coffee is self serve and was delicious. Finally came down to an Arepa, cheese and scrambled egg and was as I remembered it growing up (via family friends). Really took me back to my childhood friends family visits. Will be going back to try out more items. The place always has a nice customer flow.
