If you want to traumatize your child at a dentist bring him here. My husband brought my son here for a visit and the hygienist who took care of him was extremely rude.This hygienist did not have much patience she deals with children so she should be a little more patient or not work with kids. She was not even trying to get her job done after my son felt comfortable she just stopped cleaning his teeth and didn’t complete the procedure. The hygienist attempted to clean his teeth twice and stated she will not keep trying after my son started crying.This hygienist was very unprofessional .she stated it is not right that other people have to wait for my son to feel he is ready when there was no one in waiting room so she must have been speaking of herself . They mentioned my son would have to be sedated for a cleaning and a filling . My child was not kicking and screaming all he has is gag reflexes.My son is sensitive to certain textures and smells which causes him to have gag reflexes which is why this hygienist states he was being uncooperative .I’m sure there are certain professional approaches hygienist follow to provide a bette experience for kids .I’m sure there are certain procedures to deal with kids who have gag reflexes . A kid will not want to visit the dentist if he is treated this way. Every time we’ve visited this office there are always different people working here. I had asked about sealings for my son which they are to prevent cavities during his previous visit and they mentioned the could not do it because he still had baby teeth , Now I go back my son still has baby teeth and they mention the sealings now that my son has 2 cavities. Wouldn’t it have been better to put them before to prevent the cavities now he already has them sooooo….
Been bringing my son here since he was a 5 yr old. He is now 13 and they always treat us so well. Wonderful and caring staff. Especially the silver fox lady at the front desk.
My 4 year old had her appointment set for 2 weeks they called me the day of to remind me I explained I had to come in early because I had another appointment they said I could come an hour early because they was not full my appointment was for 1:30 I arrived at 12:30 ! It’s no reason it’s 2:00 and I’m still not being seen with the receptionist telling me she jus put the paper in but I signed in at 12:30 .... if I’m signed in on an appointment I should be in line at the same spot while I fill out paperwork . Not to mention when I walked in not one out of the 2 receptionist acknowledged me to even tell me to fill out paperwork they acted like they didn’t even see me !
I have been coming to this establishment since I was a child, and now at 24 I can say that the service has always been and will always be great. They have always accommodated my needs and are very flexible with my schedule through school and work. I appreciate all the doctors that have worked on me, they are kind and gentle, as is the whole staff. The front desk lady is very kind as well as the owner. Would really recommend!

I have been coming here for years for my children and now for myself. From the minute we walk in, we are with family. The lovely ladies at the front desk always take the time to talk to my kids, make them feel welcomed and safe. The best (and painless) cleanings I have ever had. We are now meeting the orthodontist for the first time today and expect it to be as wonderful as all the other staff we have encountered throughout the years. :)
I’m a nurse and I must say this is a beautiful, clean , and professional office from the staff to the doctors. The pediatric dentists are so caring and very easy yo talk to and ask questions. The staff is friendly and helpful especially with dealing with insurance!!! Yes, they actually helped me with ALL my insurance issues and my kids and even I was seen. I’d really recommend this great office.
Dr. Frankels office offers fast, friendly, hygienic and professional dental services. They have GREAT staffers especially Mandy and Francine. These two ladies are the best: very professional, kind and helpful. They welcome you with a smile and give a few laughs that will make you forget about the pain. I have been going there for more 14 years and my experiences have been great. I often recommend this dentist to friends and family.
I love this dental office seriously!!!!! Your not waiting all day to see a dentist. The customer service is great. I take my 2 children here as well as myself. I been coming here for about 2 years now and never had a problem. I’m getting all my dental needs done here and I’m very satisfied with the cleanliness, of the receptionist, and overall all the staff.
My kids, 16, 10 & 4 and myself have been coming to Dr. Frankel for the last 10+ ears. The staff, specially the front desk ladies, and the doctors are all amazing. everyone takes the time and attention that my children need to have a great experience. Have been coming to this office for years and I have had an amazing experience everytime I bring my Daughter in. The Doctors and assistants are EXTREMELY patient. The staff are efficient and deliver service with a smile. Toys for the kids in the waiting room, stickers before every child leaves. I am excited to see the new changes in the office to match the excellent service provided. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
My daughter has been coming to this office for 8 years now. I have always loved the cleanliness, staff and the dentist. Now due to the pandemic they are even more well prepared in following all guidelines! My daughter and I also loved the new upgrade with the X-ray equipment and the TVs on the wall in front of each station! Best dentist office in the Bronx for sure!!!
Very unorganized office and poor time management. My daughter had been scheduled for two fillings at 10:00am. we arrived on time at 9:30am. They called us at 10:13. The dentist did one filling and was about to do the second when her assistant stopped her and told her she couldnt because there was other people waiting. So guess what, they told her she had to come yet another day (Third time) and mind you school is in session, just to do the other filling when in fact it could have been taken care of right then and there. Never have I had to come back to back for something so simple. And that receptionist is so rude, thinks she can speak to people any way she feels like. I get it she old, but Im an adult just as she is. I will never recommend this place of business to anyone. Just a waste of a day off of work and school for my child. Disgusting. Deserves 0 stars. The dentist is an amazing person but the staff sabotaged the experience. She needs to be removed from her position or find something for her to do away from the patients. Her people skills are poor and she will bring this business down.
Both of my children have been going to Dr. Frankel’s office for years and they love him and his friendly staff. My youngest just had a procedure done and it was easy as can be.Thank you guys for making them feel comfortable in every situation. I definitely recommend this practice if your searching for a new pediatric dentist.
My sisters and I have been coming here for years and will continue to come here for years and years! Dr. Frankel, along with his wonderful staff have been keeping my teeth, along with my sisters teeth, clean, shiny and in good shape. My sisters and I look forward to coming to the dentist because we know Dr. Frankel and his staff work hard to make our experience at the dentist’s office comforting. Additionally, the office is very clean and my favorite time to come for my cleaning is in September because the office smells like a mix of apple cider and cinnamon! My sisters and I will continue to go here!!!
I gave this place one star because the welcoming staff was nice. However, On the phone the receptionist made it seem like this place was following strict covid guidelines, but I am unsure if sitting in a waitroom for one hour is safe. In addition, the photos to this place are misleading. Its like a community dental office upstairs. There are about 4 chairs in an open space. There was no water to rinse and spit and the dentist was not child friendly at all. My child was having an anxiety attack and I am trying to tell the dentist, who by the way is not doctor Frankel, what her issue is and she says we cant do x-rays here, go downstairs to get a referral for extraction. No other details or explanation provided. Yet they gave me a card for a 6 month clean up. So disappointing.
I highly recommend Dr. Frankel. He’s an excellent pediatric dentist. He’s work is a work of art. He treated my daughter over 20 years ago and now my son is also a patient. Thank you for all you do for us. Love, the Mena family.
Ive been taking my 8 yr old son here since I moved to the area in 2013. I love it. The staff are wonderful. Everythings always clean. They usually call us right away. I think the longest Ive waited might have been 30 minutes and that was on a very busy day. I love that they have a little play area with toys.
I’ve been beinging my children here since they were very young. (Now with my oldest being 20)I actually changed my dentist at one point because I lived to far and I can truly say that I had to come back.You really see the difference in the way one treats you.I don’t mind that I have to travel an 1 hour to get here.The front seat professionalism is outstanding, the doctors are amazing and the technicians are truly wonderful. They truly care.I would recommend anyone to come for a visit.

My experience in the Dr. Frankel’s office has been neutral, front desk is wonderful Francis and Mandee are extraordinary.I decided to take my daughter there for her braces because I was close to the office, despite the fact that the orthodontist is only there on Wednesday’s and like 2x a month giving me a very small window to fit with my professional schedule and not to mention paying out of pockets.However, I can’t say the same of Mrs Frakel “owner” Dr. Frankel’s wife, she is a very rude and super unprofessional. Literally speaks to people like your business is not need it in there office.I have have zero tolerance for people like her that thinks because she is the owner they can treat other beneath.
I have had the pleasure of taking my children to Dr. Frankel for over a decade now. He was their first dentist and is very much loved and respected by our family. I cannot say enough about how amazing he is. Dr. Frankel is warm, kind, extremely personable, giving, dedicated and truly cares about his patients. My children are always so happy and excited to go see him for their dental visits. He takes his time with his patients and never makes you feel rushed. He is so knowledgeable and truly the best in his field. If he took adult patients I would be first in line! His staff as well as other Doctors that we’ve seen in his practice through the years have all been wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Frankel. He is a stellar professional and a great friend to us all!
My son and daughter have been with Dr Frankel’s office since young. I absolutely love this place and must say never have I experienced an unpleasant visit. The ladies at the front are wonderful and the staff upstairs are outstanding. Thank you for always taking care or my kids oral needs.
Really nice people . The receptionists are two lovely women who make you feel welcome . The people up in the dentistry are very efficient workers and are also really nice . Cool waiting room too with nice television and a play center for children . Would go back anytime
All the negative review are true...Extremely unprofessional staff. I made an appointment for my daughter and specifically mentioned her age and that this was her first dentist appointment. Arrived to be stopped at the door and told my wife cannot enter - only one person per child. Not mentioned when appointment was made. Then they asked if I had a mask for my baby - my one year old will not keep a mask on, she thinks it’s a peek a boo game. Meanwhile there was a child in the waiting room with no mask on.....this requirement was also not mentioned when appointment was made. Then an older woman comes to tell me that my child isn’t old enough to be seen - also not mentioned when appointment was made. Total waste of time, a missed day of work and terrible customer service.
When going to this dental office is like no other office that I been to. The receptionist are very professional. Especially Amanda. Amanda has been a delightful person to work with. It seem that Amanda feels your pain .the office is always clean . The staff is always checking on the patients for there comfort.

We relocated and still come back to Dr frankel because my children wont go anywhere else!Updated review: Dr frankels office has gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of their patients and staff ...its amazing and if I loved them before I love them even more now ...they have truly shown their care for the community.
Dr. Frankel is a wonderful children’s dentist. He has been nothing short of amazing. He is a perfectionist and super patient with our kids. We know many other families who see Dr. Frankel and all of them have had the same great experiences with him that we have.
Greatest dental office in New York City! My kids have been coming to the office since they were toddlers now they’re 21 and 15. Staff is great , from the wonderful receptionists to the Dentist and assistants.

They make you come back for fillings every week i dont know whats up with that but its kinda suspicious like why fill in 1 tooth per visit??? Literally i came back 3 times that means 3 visits for each filling. Smh is like they like to run up your insurance

Dr. Frankel and his truly caring and happy staff were so amazing last week that I felt I had to tell everyone how great an experience we had. Ive taken my children to dr frankels for years . This is an amazing place for children they treat you like you are family .The way they protect their patients without losing that personal touch is outstanding i will bring my children here for years to come!
Ive been coming here for the past couple of years and my experience has always been great. Waiting time is never that long especially that I come on my lunch time. The receptionist always remind me about my appointments and never make a fuss when I miss one or happen to forget.

2 years late but here it goes.. I switched to this dental office because it was closer to me... After one experience coming I switched back to my old dentist for my kids. The dentist who was working was so unprofessional laughing at a kid who was crying while getting his teeth cleaned.. She was a lady, ghetto as hell... She seemed annoyed with the kids... I just kept looking at her like is she really talking this mess.. The front desk staff and xray technician were very nice to my kids... but once i found out this lady was the doctor I couldnt believe it.. if you dont like kids why are you taking them as patients.. HOPEFULLY she does not still work there... She definitely needs to be fired.... no customer service, no sympathy for the kids, no people skills at all... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..HORRIBLE DENTIST!!

It’s a family dentist. They call me to remind me about our dental appointments, week before, week of and day of. The ladies at the desk are really nice and go out their way to help.

Go somewhere else. They are condescending and are not patient centered. You will often waste your time. Appointments are inconvenient and you show up and are treated like okie dokie there are 3000 patients on the way so you dont matter.

2022-04-25Ive been coming here since I was a child and they are undeniably the best. The staff are so kind and caring and go above and beyond to make everyone feel cared for. Even more, they really do their best to accommodate patients. For instance, I had to catch an early flight today and Dr. Lindsey came in her off day, at 9:30 no less, to put in my crown just to ensure I made my flight. Its that type of kindness that makes them the best.

2022-07-20I highly recommend this practice, they have always taken care of my children and my own dental needs. The staff are friendly and professional. You feel like part of the family. They are always willing to accommodate around your schedule. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR ANOTHER RECEPTIONIST, DENTISTS, DENTAL HYGENISTS OR ORTHODONTISTS ... They have it all.

2022-03-21Dr. Rao is THE BEST!! He has such a calm demeanor and is very gentle. I get so much anxiety especially at the dentist but he explains what he is about to do before doing it and address all of my concerns. I am never calm when I go to a dentist but Ive seen Dr. Rao 3 times since November 2021 and its always a pleasant and anxiety free experience. Thank you Dr. Rao!!!

2022-05-10Dont go here! Horrible service, they rush you and miss things they should have seen everytime. They will cause your problem to worsten because they do a half job then it takes 3 months for another appointment(not due to insurance ) they rush and dont care. Do not waist your time here!

2021-10-12The dentists and staff are all excellent. They understand and always try to accommodate your needs and schedule, especially for family with school kids. I have my two kids visited this office for many years. If required, they will even carefully make a referral to a specialist to check before doing any dental work on your kids.Highly recommended for pediatric dentists.

2021-04-28I Brought my daughter here for a check-up, nice office, great staff. My daughter usually has alot of anxiety, but from the minute we stepped in, the young lady who called her in was so pleasant, she put me at ease...but to follow up, the doctors were also amazing. Definitely bringing my husband here, even if I have to drag him. This will definitely be our family dental office!! A true gem in the Bronx.
