One of the best stakes I have had in nyc. The food is really good for the price!!! I highly recommend it for a family dinner place. Clean and friendly. Been there twice now and plan on making several more trips.
The food was ok. They dont have any patience when taking orders on the spot. I was rushed and even felt like I was bothering the guys by telling them what I wanted. I hoped the food would change my mind on how I felt when I left but it was mediocre at best!

Drowned in there potatoes cheddar cheese making the bun soggy I asked for unions and pickles got non fries soggy wet not crispy Ive been going to this stake house since I was a kid and it has really gone down hill
So disappointed because I practically grew up on Pee Dees. Lol. But I’m so turned off rite now, I doubt I’ll ever go back again. I called to do an order pickup. The dude that answered the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE!! On top of that, my iced tea cups were all broken and leaking. Not worth the $70 it cost. Done wit Pee Dee!
Hot wings would have been good but TOO MUCH cayenne OMG. I wont recommend that. Not that friendly

All this for $79... listen this was a great deal! Yes its not Peter Lugers but its way better than the last remaining tads steakhouse in times square. Everything was flavorful, huge bake potato perfect for sharing or leftovers. Crab legs were delicious! Bbq chicken leg moist and tender. Bbq ribs decent. Its a perfect inexpensive alternative.
The staff are very polite. This is a great inexpensive neighborhood restaurant to get a decent grilled steak or chicken. The grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite.

This place is alright $$ the only concern I have here is the Steaks, my T bone and my friend big daddy steak look good but it taste so rubber dry watery no flavor taste of steak... the side orders are good.
Food is great off the grill they give you a pretty large portion also with additional sides when you order combos .... They also have sandwiches seafood cakes and pies for dessert :) enjoy!!

Absolute Delicous Food since I was a teenager and it never changes. The same kitchen staff and great tasting food. Even the cleaning person is the same. The tables are always clean and ready for customers. I always go back to eat at Pedees!😘

Every time I call this place the same order is a different price, WHY? 1 order Half chicken and shrimp 2nd order half chicken, shrimp & crab legs price before was $58.98 now all of a sudden I call and this man tells me $81???? I might as well go sit in a restuarant and pay a server a tip for that price. That is outrageous!
My wife and I frequently visited that restaurant. when we first met. 23 years ago. our bill was 26.06 .and the food was great. but now the steak was dry .I remember you guys differently.
Love pee Dees but the classic lunch special that was once 10.99 is now 14.99 but besides that this is a cool place to grab something to eat from grilled chicken to burgers they dont disappoint

A place similar to Tads Steakhouse in the sense you grab a tray and move down a line as you order. The food was fairly good and the price point was fair. Nothing really stood out as a wow factor, but there was nothing to complain about either. The steak was cooked properly and the sides were just right. You get your food, pay, find a seat and eat your meal. This place makes for a decent lunch spot. Overall Id rate this place as 4.5 out of 5
I’ve been coming here for years and is honestly one of the best old restaurants in East Harlem. The food is so tasty and aunthentic, but that baked potato with cheese is amazing. This, the prices are really good, very affordable for a big portion. This restaurant will never get old and every time I go in, it reminds me of my childhood.This restaurant is simply the bomb. Keep it up guys!

This is a neighborhood staple. Stopped in on a Friday night before the after work crowd streamed in. Service was great, it’s cafeteria style and you order and walk your way down and select your options while you wait for your food to get cooked. My steak was cooked to my specifications and was juicy. For the price you can’t beat your options in the area. The only con was the desert slice of coconut cake. It was dry and kind of bland. I wound up throwing it away. My husband enjoyed his lemon meringue pie though.
My boyfriend and I each got the steak lunch special. The people were great the food was good except for the coleslaw it was like eating salad dressing out of the bottle way to soupy. But the o thing thing I could look past was that every one in there wore their masks on their chins it covered their mouths and not their noses... then another worker walked in with no mask on at all smh very disappointing
I been going here for years..The burgers , bbq chicken, beef & pork ribs are the best...The only thing not good is the steaks...I eat at real steak houses & even eat decent steaks from local restaurants witch taste like steak , but Pee Dee Steaks taste and look artificial some how.. I just bought a T-bone last night & wasnt worth the money or to eat it...I did not eat the whole thing..I think the Chinese owner is buying that cheap after market steak from china town or where ever he get it from...leave the steak alone
Food does not match prices and the broiled salmon and fried shrimp is exactly what it says broiled with no FLAVOR! Even the Pepsi from the machine taste flat! Shrimp is no where near crispy enough and the fries taste like frozen fries threw in hot oil. Staff and atmosphere is nice and decent but u come and spend $$ for food no where near or worth the price

I use to go to this place in the late 90:s and the early 2000s, it use to be my spot and the guy on the grill at that time was superb, everything he made was fantastic. The grilled chicken use to be so good and tender. I decided to revisit and travel all the way from Brooklyn. I spent over $30 was so disappointed. The chicken was setting out then placed on the grill to recook and was so tuff to chew. The place in my opinion fell off, I dont know if its under new management or what. However if they can go back to freshness and quality Im sure they can bring the place back to its glory or maybe I just visited on a bad day.
Honestly, its been around so long and its a gem til today. Definitely try this place if you have not already. Their bbq chicken is one of the best Ive ever had. Very tender, juicy and tasty. A bit pricey and you may be caught off guard by it, but no worries, its absolutely delish. Ive never ever been let down by their food. Plus,,,,,their chicken tenders and shrimp are so good..!! Try the honey mustard for the chicken...
Tea was good, the food was fine. Glad I did it as a special treat for the Holidays, but would I do it again? Probably not for a long time. It was enjoyable, but as far as $75 per person for tea and sandwiches, its more about the experience than the food.
Disappointed, online said they were open until 9pm. They changed their hours to 8pm Sun-Thurs

Not a Texas Road House, the steak had no taste or flavor for a 10oz. Their apple pie tasted like a leftover. Everything else was good. I wouldnt recommend their steak or 🥧
I have been coming here since it opened & the food is always delicious!! You get a very satisfying portion 4 a very reasonable price!! Not expensive at all!! 😀 The chicken strips were so good & fulfilling along with their buttery mash potatoes & the salad was fresh!! 😁

The bread was old, the steak was fatty and the potato was old. Maybe, it was a bad night but not worth the price!

RACIST, I went there with family, and asked to use the bathroom while my cousin ordered our food, and the clerk told me that if I dont order I couldnt use their bathroom. The food may be good, but dont ask to use their bathroom before, during, or while you order. MONEY FIRST. I only wonder if I wasnt AFRICAN AMERICAN would this have been a different scenario

The shrimp platter is really good. Alot of food for your money. The food is tasty. Theres plenty of tables to sit down and eat. Clean place.
Food is trash, for the amount of money you gotta pay. I got a broiled shimp salad. The shrimp was limp and did not have the classic shape. It tastes like it was boiled with no flavor. The salad consisted of iceburg lettuce, some tomatoes and white onion. This cost $20.00. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
Steaks literally have no color to them . Its like theyve been drained of all its juices and giving it a gummy texture. Someone else posted a pic in a another review here and you can see the pale grey look it has.
One of the best bbq burgers Ive ever had! Love this place... Pick up a tray and walk down the line style service.. If anyone remembers Flaming Ambers that was on East 86th Street its exactly the same place with a new name and location.
Weve been coming to this place for years. The food is great. They give large portions & friendly service. The guys who work there are really hard working.
The food is awesome but I dont think that customers should have to pay 1.50 for a sour cream cup if I originally ordered a baked potato. I should get one for free not have to pay for a dollop of sour cream.

Great place. The decor is very nice and the food is fresh and delicious and you get a lot of food for your money. The staff can use a refresher course in customer service and smile at least.

This is one of my favorite places to go Ive been going to Pee Dees Since I was like 19 or 20 Im 49 now so you know I must love the establishment and the baked potato with cheese and the cheesecake and the Land&Sea and the snow crab i can go on and on.
The steak wasnt chewy or overcooked the shrimp was ok just wished they made the coating more flaky the rice n broccoli were good u get a good amount of food for the 28.95$
This is one of my husbands favorite places, every time he visits NYC he wants a hamburger from pd steakhouse.
Every time i call it takes like 15 minutes to get them pick up the phone , then this spanish guy says Hold on one second and keeps you on the line for 5-10 mins then just forgets about the call. This really makes me stop calling them and find another place. CUSTOMER SERVICE 0 !!! The owners should really consider replacing the guy taking phone orders. Dont waste your time, call other place for better service. ALso their steaks are DRY and Tasteless and their broiled chicken is ALWAYS BURNED and tastes like CHIPS. Will never order again !!!

2019-11-18Pee Der Steakhouse i. East Harlem has a rich and varied menu, and the location is good with a nice atmosphere. The people working there is also ver nice. Many of the dishes looks delicious. The portions are generous. My sirloin tasted OK but was hard and overcooked.

2022-04-01I enjoyed a day out with family members, at Pee Dee Steak House on 110th St. On 3rd Ave.They have lots to choose from., steak, ribs, chicken, and shrimps.I chose a steak, baked potato and a salad.You can even have dessert. They have cakes, pie, pudding, and jello.I havent eaten at Pee Dee Steak House in years, but I can tell you the price is still reasonable and enjoyable
