Ordered a pepperoni calzone and received this, not sure how they got this so wrong😑
04/25/21 7pmCalled to place a small pie, because this place is two blocks away from me, after 18 mins I call to check on the status, and they give me another 45 min wait, so I ask to cancel it instead. They tell me that they don’t like wasting food which I agree, but my kids were hungry and I didn’t want them to wait longer. The girl on the phone was extremely rude, spoke over me the whole time and ended up telling me we can no longer make delivery calls only because we canceled the order. Not to mention she hung up immediately after. This is the type of customer service no one should receive.
I order sausage ,with sauce,and garlic bread ,the guy sent sauce no sausage garlic bread and a soda, said he looking at the recipe it say sauce.And hung the phone up and this is a local business.
I miss them moved to FL and pizza here is not the same PEPPINOS YOU ARE MISSED
This is an okay slice of pizza...Crust soft and floppy with no particular taste. Collapses even when folded.Sauce thin, with taste of garlic and oregano but not tomato.Cheese melted, but not browned.Overpriced at $3..Nothing terribly wrong with it, but nothing to look forward to either.
Pizza is ok. Its not the same as it used to be when it was owned/operated by Joe and John. Ive been eating Peppinos since the 80s; those 2 always treated me as family since I was a 3rd grader. They still have a decent variety of pizza, many beverages and options. But like I said, the pizza is not the same as was during the hey days under John and Joe.No disrespect. Just being honest.
I been in this place few times in recent week, they have new items such as chicken garlic tomato slice pizza it was very different and delicious, the service fast and the pizza was hot and yummy,now when I say service this is delivery and pick up restaurant, they have few table but dont expect full service dining here , the food and drinks are very great , I never had a problem with staff then I really dont care about service much , I highly reccomend this place for quick bite
Everything I go to NY, my last stop is to buy a whole pie for the drive home. Theres no Pizza like this in GA

The woman at the counter is extremely rude and unprofessional both in person and over the phone! She doesnt know how to talk to people and doesnt handle large amounts of people ordering well. I have been eating here for years and 2 times she has been nasty to me within the last week. Im done with them after 10+ years. The food is decent, avarge for New York Pizza

Their food in general is absolutely DELICIOUS! From the pizzas all the way down to the pastas and chicken. The BEAUTIFUL latina in the front taking orders is so nice and welcoming. I will go back every chance I get! Highly recommended.
So I LOVEEEEE there veggie pizza 🍕 but the crust is too thick if they make it thin its a great pie. And there mozzarella sticks need to be cook a little more the breath feels and taste a little raw but it taste great 🍕🥰💯💎👍❤️ thanks
05/17/21 3:47I always order for delivery, two colzon one with buffalo chicken and other one with bbq chicken, the total always be $19 include the delivery fee, today they charge me $25.18 and when I asked she said the cheese colzon is $9 and $2 extra for chicken!!!Last time I order from this pizzaria...
This pizza has a great reputation! Most of the staff has worked here for years so they know what they are doing. The have Neopolitan as well as Sicilian style pizza 🍕. Theres a full menu of stuff, but no canollis! Hint, hint. 😋

The woman who answered the phone is extremely rude, disrespectful, and very unprofessional. I called to ask ylwhy my food was delivered cold and She told me that if I have a problem with the pie that was delivered to next time order from Uber eats or grub hub. I will never order from here or recommend anybody to order from here. When running a business the customer is always right.
Hands down some of the best pizza in the Bronx, in my opinion if this place was in the Arthur ave/ little Italy section of the Bronx they would give all the pizzerias out there a run for their money and even outshine some of them. If youre in the area and are looking for some top notch pizza, look no further. I havent tried many of their other menu items simply because the pizza is so damn good that Im usually not even curious about the other stuff, and honestly when it comes down to it, pizza is the core menu item of a pizzeria and with how good theirs is Id only assume everything else there is of the same quality.

I absolutely loved it. I had two plain cheese slices. It isnt terribly expensive. Its only 2.50 for plain and 1.00 extra per topping. The slices are HUUUUGGGEEEE. TWO SLICES FILLED ME UP. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Very clean place. Peppinos came highly recommended by someone I met off LetGo. And if I only had two cheese slices, and they were amazing, can you IMAGINE how their other food is? I can... But unfortunately I live in the south Bronx. We dont have good pizza like that over by me. But I do know if I want quality pizza and I have about an hour to spare, I know where Im going !!!!!

I ordered 4 slices from them yesterday & they took an hour & a half to come. When the pizza came, it was very hard, dry, burnt & cold. We called & complained & the lady told us shes not sending anything out because they were closing. So we spent 15 dollars & didnt eat one bite of it. Now today we called them back so they can send us new pizzas. It took them four hours this time to come & the pizza got here & its the same thing. COLD, HARD & DRY!!
I had an awful experience with the person who takes takeout orders. I was refused service, a few weeks before I called to find out what type of sandwiches they had. He was very abrupt and I responded accordingly. As a result he refused me delivery service when I called this time. This ist terrible customer service and I hope it changes. Just lost a customer.
Walked in after a long train ride and I can say this pizza was fresh not to mention the pizza was hugeeee.lettuce in my salad was very very fresh. the place was clean with very pleasant service by cooks/cashiers . Food good prices . I’ll be back guys !
The prices are incredibly high at this restaurant located in an underserved, spread out area. They never have garlic knots when you want them, which is one of the most affordable items on the menu.241st is a major transit hub and its a challenge to walk from the area with a lot of patty spots. This means that sometimes people can find hardly anything to eat besides Crown Fried Chicken. This area sucks.

Large, delicious slices. Calzones are always made to order from scratch. Love this place. Make it a habit to stop here if I ever am taking the 2 or 5 train for my commute home. Staff dont take b.s. from rude costumers, so dont be shocked if youre a jerk to them, theyll fire right back.
Ive been working next to this store for 2 years. i buy 4 pizzas for 15 dollars. and asked for some ranch. they wanted to charge me 1 dollars.They are rude too. they also dont wash their hands

The guy that answers the phone is very disrespectful. He told me that the store was open & that I was able to order then my order gets cancelled & I call back to see what’s the problem then he goes off asking me if I can understand English trying to belittle me. Wonderful theyre pizza 🍕 is the best. And trust me Ive eaten a lot of pizza. Theyre slices are a great size and granted to full you up. Keep doing what your doing.
It depends whose making the pizza if the Spanish guys are making the pizza its good when the owner tries its horrible with no cheese. They raise the price of everything but there portions go down with every increase.

Life-long new yorker, and Italian: this is the best pizza Ive had outside of manhattan. huge slices, chewy crust, slices are hot and the sauce is perfect. The guys in there are truly sweet as well. Peppinos is how I plan on getting my family through every Friday dinner during lent.

I tried this place before but their new product really delicious and it has Mediterranean touch on it, price was very good for that quality, the staff are somewhat friendly but there is sure language barrier, but they get the job done, this is very old place almost 40 years,and they keep the good work up, I highly recommend this place for affordable and quality pizza, I will repeat this place , good work guys keep it up

I lived in the neighborhood since 88 and once it turned over to a new owner couple years ago it hasnt tasted the same theyve been using cheapier ingredients since. No one notices because they made the slices bigger and thats all they care about. Nothing tastes good.

2021-10-07Yesterday I purchased Pizza from this place. In the middle of the regular slice, I bit into a rusty screw-like metal that was about 2 inches long. When I brought it to the attention of staff. I was offered $3. This screw couldve ended my life, and Peppinos didnt care!

2022-03-12So I’ve ordered from Peppino’s since I was a child. Long time supporter here. Today, I placed an order via delivery and received the wrong pizza. The box had my name on it so they clearly made a mistake. I called the place, explained who I was, and the owner proceeded to inform me that I should request a refund and order the pizza again. I said okay, no problem. Next, I simply asked the owner if he wouldn’t mind sending out the pizza a little sooner being that I waited 1hr & 30 minutes for the INCORRECT pizza. The owner proceeded to say “sorry, but you will have to wait another hour for the correct pizza. We’re busy.” For 10+ years of commitment to this pizza place and the fact that THEY made the mistake in delivering the wrong pizza, this is not a response that should be given by a owner. It’s saddening to me that I called seeking assistance with their mishap & the response I received ended with “we’re busy” because you can’t be busy without customers to bring in business. I doubt they’d care, but I’m done ordering from Peppinos.

2022-07-28I placed a pickup order online and when I got there it was not ready. They were not even working on it. I stood there for 10 minutes before they decided to make my order. I order a spinach slice with broccoli, sausage, and extra cheese with a gingerale. They gave me a can soda i thought i was getting the bottleI asked for a receipt and I was told that since I ordered online I would have to get it that way online and that the prices are more online. As long as I have been coming here I have never experienced such rudeness. It doesnt matter how good the food is if the service is lousy whywhy should I spend my money there.

2021-08-27We ordered wings and a peppinos special pizza which was supposed to have pepperoni, sausage,meatballs, mushrooms,onions,peppers and black olives. The wings were not edible at all and the pizza that is pictured is what we got. A veggie pizza. The dough was way undercooked and the veggies were almost raw. I called to explain that they sent the wrong pizza and the response the door dash guy got was Its not the wrong pizza, we definitely made the right one I sent them a picture to show it was the wrong pizza. The whole experience was awful, from the delivery person to the actual restaurants response. The only person who tried to make it right was the door dash customer service person.* Edit per the restaurants response. I am appalled that you would speak to customers this way and in seeing other negative reviews you were very apologetic, and sincere in your respnse, yet not towards my issue... I have the receipt that shows I ordered a peppinos special, not a veggie pizza so to suggest that I ordered the wrong pizza is incorrect. Also, you will not have to worry about me taking my business elsewhere as there are other quality places with friendly, respectful, staff that have good food as well. I was disappointed by the interaction because I was very excited to try your food, but after that experience I was surprised and upset. I hope that you can hire employees or managers that have better, more polite customer service responses, instead of going on the defensive and attacking the customer after a poor review. Maybe I just got a bad night of food and the servers at the restaurant were having a bad night I dont know, but I hope the customer service improves and that the food is better then what I experiencedHave a wonderful weekend.

2018-03-11I love this place! Its by far one of the best pizza places! Theres a Little Caesars that opened up like a year or 2 ago nearby, and while I can get a pie for $6 there, I always go to Peppinos because they have huge slices and a great variety. I never had any issues with the pizza nor with the staff. They are always kind and its my pizza place of choice. Haha, I actually am about to go there today! I only do ever get the pizza, but they have so much to offer! My boyfriend got pasta, salad and bread etc and it was so good!When I got home, I had to take a ruler out for one of my Non-NYC friends so theyd see how large these slices were, lol.

2021-09-06This restaurant has lost the passion for making pizza and pastas big time!!! They added a couple of new items to the menu, nothing to brag about. Pizzas are bland, pastas dull with no flavour, and desserts are not appealing. The staff behind the counter are rude, impatient, and lack basic customer service skills. I live in the area and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. I order outside my community whenever I want a pie and thats a shame.

2021-06-15OK I remember this place from years ago... Not even close to that old feeling. No welcome as you enter. People arent friendly. They tried to give me. A used box at first. For four slices at $20 I expect at least a new box. Then they have all the seasonings in the back where you have to wait for them to bring them to you. Now Down to the taste. AWFUL!!!!!!!!!! The 99 cents pizza taste better. Crust was soggy and oily. Cheese was scarce. Pepperoni is beyond second rate. Sausage taste like the flavor was washed off. Sorry you cant give this place lower than one star because they didnt deserve that. Better to walk up the street and get the chicken spot bland pizza.
