I just had their cheeseburger plate with mac and slaw. Oh my gosh, it was AMAZING! Living in Rochester almost my entire life Ive had almost every plate there is. This has got to be the very best one ever. The cole slaw is sweet with pineapples-exactly what I was hoping for-Im definitely ordering from here again. Great job!!!Ten thumbs up.
I ordered two plates at 11:00 PM. At midnight I called to see what was going on. They said they were catching up on orders from earlier in the day and couldnt promise an exact delivery time. At 1:00 AM I called again asking where the food was. This time not only could they not confirm a time, but they couldnt even confirm the order would be made at all. At 2:00 AM I called the last time. They said they just werent going to deliver our order because it wasnt in the direction of any other orders. Im still awaiting a refund and will definitely not be ordering again.
Ordered through grub hub. Food was good but late. Ordered late night on a Saturday though. They didnt update the grub hub app as they went so I had no idea when I would be getting my food. Girl from the store was very nice, 1 of the things I ordered was out so she called to see what I wanted to do instead. I wish they would have been better at communicating through the app but ultimately not a big deal
I have ordered from them occasionally. Was really impressed that they always deliver, and usually decent food. Not great but.. decent.I dont mind waiting the usual 45 to an hour plus, however this time, food was not right and quite blankly looks unappetizing. I understand short staffed, I work too, however, long wait plus wrong food... no go. Probably done with using them for a good while. Solutions offered were excuses. I would appreciate a more professional way of making amends. Thankfully they didnt mess up my kids due to her allergies. And on a plus my kid likes the pizza.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with this place! ordered food on Grubhub around 12 and it said my food should arrive around 2:00-2:10 and i gave them till around 2:30 before calling and then he tells me “ok your food just got done you will be our first stop, 40 mins to an hour go by I call him again he tells me “I’m sorry we got busy but we will be there soon buddy” now another 40 mins to an hour go by I tell him I want a refund he ignore me and says “give me a second I’ll call the driver then I’ll call you back” ten- fifteen mins go by I call grub hub and get a refund
Ordered on Grub hub food never came, called and said he was close waited out in my apartment lobby for 9ver 15 min and called back to hear 5h3 food hasnt been delivered. The owner was unapologetic and had a confrontation tone. Sloppy. Reading the other reviews on here I see a repeat pattern. I will be checking to make sure they refund me my $30 and will reach out to grub for a credit in addition to refund as they wasted my time. Do. NOT ORDER!
Update it actually did come like 2 hours late after the guy told me “ hold on let me call the driver than I’ll call you back” he never did, so that’s lie number two! I check out outside and it’s there but very cold food and seemed like the frys been cooked hours before hand.
The food was pretty tasty. However the 2 employees that were working touched everything with their hands. We ate the food because it would have been a waste not to but we were definitely grossed out seeing them use their bare hands to make all of our food. Their hair was not pulled back either.
Ordered through GrubHub, supposed to be delivered by the store. I ordered around 11:30 at night, they were one of the few places open. Original time said 12:30 delivery, that updated to 1:40. At 2 I called, they said it would be here in an hour to hour and a half and they were just really backed up. At 3:30 it still hadnt arrived. I tried calling again and they never picked up. Its 4am. I have no idea what happened to my food, but Im done. A) hire more drivers. B) dont lie to your customers when they call. C) dont take orders when your delivery is at 4 hours.
Ordered a pizza from the parking lot for curbside pickup because my 5 year old was sleeping in the backseat. The female employee on the phone was a little snippy as she was taking my order but I specified where my vehicle was parked in front and that I couldnt come in because my child was sleeping. I paid over the phone with my card and was told 15-20 minutes for my order. 45 minutes go by and I carry my sleeping child into the building and my pizza is sitting on the counter and the young female employee is standing around talking to a couple guys at the counter. As I walk up to the counter she turns around and asks my name and hands me my half cold pizza. If I hadnt already paid for the food I wouldve left it there. & as I told her they really need to work on their customer service because 50 minutes of waiting on a curbside order to leave with a cold pizza is not a good business practice especially when your business is dependent on customers returning.Definitely cost them a customer, wont get my business again.
Horrible service, employees clearly have no idea what costumer service looks like, after being cursed at because of a water, and being cursed at out the door because of trash left at the table (after ordering over 100 dollars worth of food total). Either needs to teach employees typical customer service or let them go.Would not recommend not clean at all as well.
If you choose to have the food you paid for delivered to your front door, either from grubhub or from calling. Expect it to arrived 3 hrs later and the food is gonna be ice cold. This happened to every person that I know who had ordered from this place. Me and all of my friends are never paying for anything from this place ever again. Quality of their foodand their service is unacceptable.
Ordered a late dinner. Received email that my food was being prepared, then another follow up email that it would be arriving soon. Here I am at 4:30 AM waiting for food.I call the restaurant and I’m informed that the staff simply decided to cancel the order without notifying myself or notifying grubhub to in turn notify me about the cancellation.Spent two hours waiting for food that never came, only to get a passive apology from indifferent staff on the phone who clearly did not care about the miscommunication. Terrible customer service, awful way to run a business allowing managers to decide on late night cancellations without letting anybody know just so that they can get home 5 mins earlier.I’ve managed 2 pizza shops I understand the stress of making an order last minute but that is part of the job. Shameful service.
Wow!!! Never ordering from this place again! Placed an order at 11pm. Received order at 2am SMH was given a container of cold fries in place of a garbage plate that was supposed to have everything! Recieved a cold plate ch burgers plate with home fries not french fries! Recieved cold chicken fingers that were hard! Waste of almost $50.
Waited 1 hour 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Ordered through Grubhub so we understand the wait times can vary depending on the driver. When I called the restaurant to check on the order an older woman answered, was so incredibly rude, yelling at me and hung up the phone on me. I called back 15 minutes later after still not receiving the food. A young girl who was so nice answered and offered to put me through to a manager. He was so nice and apologetic. The food was delicious warm/ fresh even after waiting so long.
The food isnt that good and the old lady that works there is extremely rude to everyone. If I acted like she does at any other restaurant or grocery store, Id be fired in a heartbeat.Instead of going here, I would strongly recomend going to Fairport Hots, which is located roughly 3 miles away. The food is much better and the staff actually treat you like a decent human being.
I would have given a ZERO rating but it wouldnt let me. I placed my order on a TUESDAY at 920pm and didnt receive it till 1205am. I had to call the restaurant at 1120pm to find out WHERE my order was to be told they were really busy. I ordered wings, barely any sauce, fried mushrooms with extra blue cheese on the side and there was NONE. I live 9 mins away and when arrived it was lukewarm at best. This was my 2nd and LAST time to order from this restaurant.
Customer service was terrible. I was verifying my order from door dash and the lady on the phone was going off on the time frame and that was not my intention of the call. She finally gave me a chance to ask my question again and to verify there would be no ketchup on the plate (seeing as tho there was no “plain” option) she said yes and hung up on me. My food got to the company I work for and lo and behold there was ketchup on the plate. Disappointed.
Each of these things individually are no problem. All of the things together are indicative of problems. As a food service professional of almost a decade, I can safely say that this places management has given up.Called to order and they didnt even say anything when they picked up the phone. Asked for some extra hot sauce on the side (and paid for it) and they only gave me like 1oz of sauce on the plate, no side. Mac salad (the whole plate really) was bland af, no butter w the roll. They use junior hots instead of full size like other places. Employees were dressed in casual clothing. Kitchen was nasty and not in a charming Rochester area Hots joint way.If youre sober enough to remember the experience tomorrow, dont order here.
If I could pick 2.5 stars, I would. Honestly their garbage plates are tasty, their hot sauce is the best in the business. That being said, they seriously lack in customer service when the owner isnt there. The fact that they have very tasty plate and sauce is the only reason I have given them 5-7 chances. They consistantly mess up orders, telling them home fries well done, or extra hot sauce means nothing to them! No matter what youll get one spoon of hot sauce and your home fries will be cooked to whatever level they decide. They will always put cheese on your burgers even when you over stress, NO CHEESE! last night we were the only two people in the place, it took them 32 minutes to make to garbage plates and two mushroom Swiss burgers. I ordered the food to go, this time I was smart enough to check the food prior to leaving.. guess what, barely any hot sauce on my plate, it was ordered with extra hot sauce and the home fries that were ordered well done were hardly even browned. I brought my plate back up to the counter and asked if what was on my order was considered extra hot sauce? Without saying a word the employee took the plate, put more hot sauce on it and handed it back to me. Seriously they have a great product, they struggle in actually listening to your order and having the cook follow through with the correct order! I guess after all the chances Ive given them, Ill be moving on to another joint for my garbage plates.
I used to love this place. Love their food and the people and the service. Over the last year though they have gotten sloppy, RUDE, and just plain not what it used to be. The people are rude and have no manners/ customer service skills. And the last 4 times I’ve ordered it’s either messed up or it’s taken WELL over what they said it would to take for delivery. Tonight for example called at 10:08 got off the phone by 10:12 after being rudely talked to acting like they don’t have the time to be polite to the people they are supposed to be serving. Said 45 mins. At 11:53 at night I’m still waiting for my food. They said that the driver had left A bit ago and had other orders with him. You should never give a larger amount of orders to a driver then he can efficiently get to your customers. My food will be cold and I’m not happy. I used to love this place. And now they just don’t care about customer service and it sucks especially since I’ve worked customer service/ food service all my life. Disappointing is the only word I can find. Do better.
People are so quick to complain about the delivery time when literally, the area for delivery is up to 25 minutes away from the shop so my suggestion, dont order far away if you want a nice hot plate and dont want to wait over an hour for your food. People also complain about the grumpy old woman, but dont understand that she works over 70 hours a week. And then yet again some people want to complain when a few workers are outside enjoying the weather for a few when theres ALWAYS an employee in the building. If you come in and Noone is at the counter, chances are the person is in the back prepping food or in the cooler getting food. So many people I see judgemental without knowing all the ins and outs
I like the food ... but the crew seems a bit absent minded. I walked in today to get a double cheeseburger ... walked by two women slumped in chairs outside, one on her phone, the other with her eyes closed. I waited at the counter for nearly 5 minutes ... not a person in the place ... and I finally went out front and asked the ladies do you know if anyone is working in there today?, They both jumped right up, ran inside, said they thought some guy was working ... the one lady took my order, and started cooking it. A delivery man arrived (door dash?) ... and the cooking lady firmly told him that he would have to wait, because they dont cook that food until the guy arrives. I received my food and went out to my car. I had gotten in my car, and the young lady came running out ... said the cook lady had forgotten to give me a double cheeseburger (she noticed an extra burger still on the grill). Sure enough ... when I went back inside, the cook lady opened my food, and there was only a single burger. She added the 2nd cheeseburger and I was on my way. Again, I enjoy their food but it seemed like I have to have extra patience to balance out their lack of organization or attention to what was going on. Maybe they were having a bad day ... hopefully this experience was a one off ...
I’m clearly not satisfied with the service I’ve received tonight. It starts with ordering through DoorDash at 11:52 pm and never getting my food. This wasn’t the fault of Perington Hots. However, I was in communication with them the whole time up until 1:40 when DoorDash finally refunded me and I ordered directly through the restaurant itself. Trust me, they had spoken to me several times and knew my order and my name. 1:40 am my order is placed and was told less than an hour your order will be there. Nope no order. I called at 2:28 am. And was told my order left 5 minutes ago and it should be here in 20 minutes. Guess what. No order. I called back at 2:50 and then was told the driver was just leaving. Meaning the person I spoke to at 2:28 lied. And even then I was told 15 minutes. Needless to say it’s 3:24am and I still have not gotten my food. I’ve been trying to eat since 11:52pm. I’m not happy at all. I can’t even tell you how the food taste yet. They kept saying he left already and had other orders on my area. After waiting until 4 am and never getting my food I got a refund. My food was in the driver’s possession for well over an hour. It would be stone cold by the time I got it and no telling what would be done to it. Never again will I order from here
Ordered a cheeseburger plate and mozz sticks on the way home from work last night. Woman who answered was very nice, took the order, and told me 7 minutes. When I arrived 15 minutes later my order was bagged up and ready to go. Staff was in good spirits and friendly. When I got home 10 minutes later I was happy with the order. Mozz sticks were cooked through and not overdone. Cheeseburger plate was great! Plenty of home fries and mac salad to fill the bottom of the container. Burgers were cooked perfectly. And that hot sauce was awesome!! I just wish there had been more of it on the plate. But I find this with almost all hots places. I think globally we need to make plates with one scoop on the home fries/mac salad and one scoop on top of the meat with the other toppings. Cheers friends!
A typical hots with a very good staff. Have gone in twice. The first time the plates were cooked well and the only person on staff was kind enough. Second time I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was extremely kind and charismatic. I mentioned it was my birthday coming up and she gave both me and my brother two dollar off coupons. Food was just as good as well. I would highly recommend if youre a fan of burgers dogs or plates, they do their job well.
Was there this evening, ordered a chili cheese dog with some slaw on it. Didnt see the cheese and Im lucky if there was a tablespoon of chili. For the price I feel like it was pretty chintzy.Your hot sauce was kinda bland too folks on the hot dog trash plate. Im sorry, dont mean to criticize but I honestly thought it all would have been better.
Dont expect anything, especially not good service.I ordered a rubbish plate on GrubHub only to find when it arrived there was no hot sauce on it. Scoured the grubhub listing to see if it was an extra I had to add, and there was no option for it besides ordering an extra scoop. Called perinton hots and asked if there was a mistake, all they had to say was, you get what you ordered as I started to ask if I could order some extra or something and they hung up on me mid sentence. Ive had a great experience with other hots restaurants (er hots, Henrietta hots) so I know Im never ordering from perinton hots again.
Ordered through grubhub with an expected delivery time of 30 to40 minutes, then after that time it changes to 1 hour AFTER that. The delivery fee was already $9.00.On top of that it is in no way grubhubs fault because they use their own drivers! I had called grubhub and they called the restaurant asking the status, and was told the driver was on the way eta 30 to 40 minutes. I live 18 minutes away!If you advertise a delivery time with a crazy high delivery fee, stick to it. Screw you and being an hour late on top of the already specified 30 minutes.Also, did i seriously pay $6 or $7 for bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch stuck in bread? I thought there would be some chicken in there too lol
Waited 2.5 hours to get my food delivered. Called after an hour and they said they were waiting for a driver. Called after two hours and they said they would be there any minute. At 2.5 hours I get my food and it’s the wrong order. First and last time ordering here. Food I got was disgusting.
The garbage plate was fantastic cause the meatsauce was actually spicy and just the perfect amount of spicy too! My order was a quick turn around too and I was more than pleased that the woman working there took the time to talk to me. She gave me coupons and told me that they deliver! Late night and much farther distance than most delivery services. Definitely getting my next plate at Perinton Hots!!
I was very disappointed in the service. I know we ordered in the evening when all of the other drunk idiots are calling, but it was on a weeknight, how busy can it be. When we finally got our order 2 hours after it was supposed to arrive it was not only cold but it was also the wrong order. We called the company three more times, and waited another hour before getting our even colder food. I have to say the delivery guy was nice enough to return our tip but it was really frustrating to have to wait so long and deal with so much nonsense. Of all the hots in Rochester this was probably the most annoying and disappointing experience. Once they arrived the plates were extremely soggy and dripped all over the other things in our order, the bread that came with and my living room and dining room floors!
If I could leave zero stars, I would. I live in Marion and Perinton Hots is one of the few options I have to order food. Being pregnant and only wanting pizza logs 24/7 I figured this would be my go to. I was so excited to order. However, the first time I ordered the person who delivered from there said, “Just so you know, we don’t like delivering this far. It’s so far from us...” etc basically making me feel terrible for choosing them. Second time ordering my order was declined from them to deliver. My 9 month pregnant self wants to cry. At this point, whether it’s laziness from employees, or disconnect with what they allow with delivering apps, I’m extremely dissatisfied with their unprofessional behavior.
The customer service here is the worst I have ever had at any restaurant ever! I do not say that lightly. I was treated HORRIBLY by a woman named Carmie (if that’s even her real name) over a hot dog plate I called to redeem after a mixed up order. To go into how she reprimanded me and accused me of trying to scam them is just to long to type out. Bottom line is, I WILL NEVER go to Perinton Hots again.
Used to eat here all the time . Horrible hots. Ran by children and a grumpy old woman. Went when it was hardly busy and waited almost 15 minutes for a plate! While employees made other food and were using cellphones. Food is gross. The menu says they have fried chicken and then they give you chicken tenders. Found multiple FEMALE hairs in food during the day COOKED INTO burger when i took a bite. Just give them a call and you’ll see what I mean by GRUMPY employees. I wont be coming back and I’ll make sure to let my friends know.
I was in Perinton hots earlier today. I have been a customer here for months and never had a problem always great staff great food. There was a lady screaming swearing while I was waiting for my plate. When she walked to the front me and my girlfriend both heard her say a racial slur under her breathe. I said nothing and got my food and walked out. Sad that people in this world are still like this. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering here for awhile.
Similar to other garbage plate places in the surrounding area. Consistency is important in that case. I always have a consistent positive experience when Vince is working. Always get a grilled cheese / cheeseburger plate and it is great. Not too greasy, home fries are cooked just right and the mac salad is not soupy.
My first time there and I ordered a hotdogs rubbish plate. The manager cashed me out and then without gloves grabbed two hits and put them on the grill. A real turn off. She later put a glove on but only to put the toppings on, probably so she wouldnt get her hands dirty? Just saying!
Old lady was miserable. I turned my back to her and back around and she gave me 1 scoop of hot sauce and charged me for 2. Not approachable and NO GLOVES while handling food! Mac. salad sitting next to fryer and earlier reviews commented to cockroaches. Also, the fryer oil saturates into the food-it is old and needs to be changed!
For the person who complained about the cook putting hot dogs on the grill with bare hands.You do not need to wear gloves if the food you are handling is going to be cooked in a manner in which the internal temperature reaches the point where it kills all bacteria.I have been out of the food business for a while but the temperature for beef and pork were 168° and chicken a little higher 175°.I Can assure you that anything coming off the grill or out of the fryer is well above those temps.If you are in doubt call the county food inspectors office. That is what they teach in those two day classes that every place that serves food has to take before they can open for business.
I am so happy that they have finally brought back p-hots! This use to be one of the best places you could go to to get a garbage plate among many other things and Im pleased to say it still is. They have great mac salad and every time Im there the employees are friendly and polite.
Ordered online at 10:40, theyre open until like 2 but they stop delivering around 11 i think, so close to that limit. arrived fast, super hot and tasty. made exactly as i ordered, and i think the owner delivered it himself! so glad to have a place like this around fairport.
Orders never came and owner was rude on the phone and delivery driver who GrubHub told me the owner said was him personally lied to me and said my order was just delivered while I was waiting out front for him awful service last time food was gross thought Id give em another chance bc was only late night food but never again 0-5*
11/14/2018 Absolutely horrible. I called this morning to state how my order was not fulfilled on a delivery and the manager states if I feel him during our discussion. Absolutely unprofessional. I posted my baked beans that I received. I will never give them business again. Id rather starve.
Easy to catch the manager or the owner or who I think is the owner the guy with the spray tans at the bar during work and then delivering food after!! No wonder my order is always so late ! Very unprofessional I even saw this guy get into a physical fight with two kids this past summer. This place needs new management desperately. Very disappointed
Ordered two burgers with bacon, lettuce, ketchup and onions with fries on Doordash. Fries came covered in lettuce, onion and ketchup and extremely soggy. 2nd burger arrived with a super soggy and extremely thin bottom bun. 1st burger was okay, wont be ordering again. Luckily doordash offered me a partial refund.
Called in an order for delivery. There were 4 of us ordering plates. They said on the phone 20 minutes for delivery. It took over an hour. Driver forgot drinkes. When I called back they said that they didnt charge is for them and that we would have to pay for them to be delivered. Food was ok....customer service needs improving
Disappointed in my Grubhub order. I ordered a cheeseburger plate with fries and Mac salad. But instead of Mac salads I got coleslaw which I cannot stand. Not worth it to drive back and wait. It sucks when you put in an exact order online with words that say Mac Salad people cannot get it correct. Oh well, Ill try fairport hots next time.
Words don’t even express how much of a mess my order was, they forgot the burgers the first time they delivered then the guy asks me to prove it.. then the next time it comes cold as i waited another 50 minutes for it, highly suggest never ordering from here this guy needs $13 so bad i have never laughed harder on a phone call with another grown man before ever.. let’s not forget he called me a liar about the cheeseburgers until i sent him a video to prove it.
Waited for an order for over three hours. Called with in two hours was told the order was just sent out. Later on after the restaurant closed called Grubhub. Restaurant told Grubhub that we canceled our order. One thing to get the order wrong another thing to be called a lier.
Absolutely disgusting. Bland everything, they skimp on everything, especially quality. Better off going to Dogtown, Fairport Hots, or even just making your own food/garbage plate at home. I’m eating the mac salad right now that comes with garbage plate, and it tastes like absolutely nothing. Gordon Ramsay would be livid.
Ive given alot of buissness to this place in the past, food is great but the service is terrible, in the begining everything was great but the last few times ive gone ive noticed it was terribly understaffed. Everytime i leave im left confused at the situation. One night The employee working even said that he didnt even work there and was visibly angry that we were making him work . Really hope this place gets it together much cheaper and more convienent then fairport hots
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger which they put a half a slice of bacon on it literally one little piece of bacon & I ordered meat sauce but didn’t receive any on my burger not to mention they didn’t put the cheese directly on the burger they put the slice of cheese over the one half of a piece of bacon don’t waste your money here

2022-08-08Awesome people working there. Very friendly and fast.They almost always have Doordash orders ready to be picked up. It always feels like Im old friends with the people working there whenever I stop by to pick up an order.I enjoy delivering their orders as long as the customer tips at least $1.50 a mile. Too bad not that many of their customers do this though.My wife loves their food, and Ive sampled stuff she ordered from PH... delicious!!

2022-05-18On 5/9/2022 we took our daughter with us and went to Perinton Hots for early dinner. All three of us ordered a hot dog,two of us ordered fries,one ordered deep fried mushrooms, two ordered fountain drinks and one ordered a bottle of water. All three hot dogs were burnt black on one side. The mushrooms were old and the fountain drinks tasted like mold. Later two of us got physically ill and vomited this food that we paid for. We paid a lot of money for this poor service and won’t be back.

2022-04-03My friend ordered food for us at 2 am. They said theyd deliver personally, since Grubhub and other delivery services were already closed. The man on the phone was nice and friendly... but if youre oure waiting for your delivery for 2 1/2 hours and nothing is delivered, you start wondering. The food was far more expensive than on the menu. Even with a $15 delivery fee, a price like that would not be justified. Several calls to the restaurant turned into empty promises and hollow excuses. The food was never delivered. There was no explanation at all. Even a call to the restaurant the next day turned into nothing. There was no return call, no explanation, and no refund! It seems we werent the only one treated like that. Other reviews show us, that this restaurant seems to try and pocket money for food thats never delivered. Very sad!

2022-06-26STOP! Trust me, you were looking for Fairport Hots! FAIRPORT HOTS! Google that instead! The staple of a Plate is the meat sauce but you have to order it separately. If you don’t, they absolutely will NOT make it right. If your food is COLD, they also, will NOT make it right.

2022-02-27Ordered fjord an online delivery. These wings are INCREDIBLE. They are not stingy on sauce either. Love to have some extra. My plate was spot on.I have my new favorite wing place. Crispy hot.Only places better with wings are eddie Obriens.This is close. Ive had their food many times. Never disappointed.

2022-06-05They wouldnt take my order over the phone and told me to come in instead because its busy. Well if its busy Id like to place my order then drive over so that when I get there, its ready. If you dont want to take my order over the phone, thats fine. Fairport hots is close by.

2022-01-20If I could give a place a zero I would. I wanted a plate, never ordered from there before so I thought Id give them a try. MISTAKE! If you want a place that will scream at you because you dont know the menu, then this is the place for you. The woman there is so rude, I just wound up walking out. Went to Fairport Hots, the young lady was kind and helpful. My new go to place I would highly recommend the extra 6 minute drive there.
