Today was a great day, I finally bought my Pitbull terrier his own plush pillow bed. But the best part was the gentleman helping me, I believe it was Jeff or James 🤪lol. Very informative n gave his own personal opinions, n thats a plus. Great store with great workers 🐾
My experience with pet resources went well . they had a large variety of pet supplys the lady behind the register was very polite and helpful. They also have a lot of items for bully breeds. Id definitely recommend shopping at pet resources .
I never leave a review but thank you Jeff and Ben who were super helpful!! When I first walked in Jeff helped me with every item I needed and ALSO provided advice and recommendations for my new puppy. Later on in the evening, I went with my boyfriend again to get more things & Ben helped me. Ben has always been helpful to my family growing up and now helping me with my very own little family. They were both very sweet & kind and helpful. Thanks to both gentlemans for everything they did!!! Will continue to go & if you not sure, this should be your go to for your little fluffy loved ones

The kept on trying to sign me up wit them for discounts plus it took like 20mins to cash out because it seems like evertime I go they had cpu/register issues ..Ill stick to petland or petpro from now on local small businesses are annoying sometimes

Wonderful Pet Store! I travel all the way to this pet store instead of the Pet Discount’s near me. This store has A LOT more of a selection and better prices. Our turtles are so happy with their treats and gifts. They offer food, treats, tanks, leashes, and all types of pets to buy. Tortoises, turtles, birds, mice, etc.“Monique” offers WONDERFUL customer service! She and the rest workers here are so willing to help you find whatever you need and are very friendly instead of an attitude like some places. We are proud to call this our main pet store. I definitely recommend this pet store over any other I’ve tried in the Bronx. 5/5
Okay so this is the only pet store in my neighborhood theyre well stocked on a variety of products for your pets needs.... That being said some of the staff can be quite rude with customers at times and it has turned me off from purchasing there recently. In addition to that theyre also horribly overpriced there.Now I want to give them their props and say that some of the staff there know their stuff and can be helpful if they notice you and you try to ask for help given theyre not being rude that day...
Ive been going here for a while now. I have gotten a bearded dragon , hamster, fish and shots for my puppy. The staff is knowledgeable and always helpful.
I dont like the smell. Even though it is a pet shop lol but the workers there have a lot of knowledge about the fish and how to keep the water clean. They are also friendly.

Helpful staff. Wide range of options for all kinds of pets. They also offer a rewards program for customers. Social distancing in-store is a plus. Happy to have a pet store of this size— esp in this neighborhood. They offer grooming & an on-site vet on select says of the week which is very convenient. I haven’t tried yet these services yet but will update review when I do.
They was really friendly and what my dog had they told us in detail so I can understand so we was happy
I dont have an issue with service but the owner is price gouging less then six months ago I paid $2.25 for a 1 pound bag of cockatiel/love bird food and now hes charging $3.00 for the same bag i can over stand an increase but not a 75 cent increase thats robbery and price gouging am done Ill take my business elsewhere.

Horrible customer service more employees than needed and none help you. Very disappointed. On top of counter there was a plastic tank that is for 1 fish. They had 6 lovebirds or cockatoos not sure what kind of birds, but there were stressed .missing feathers and couldnt move around freely. This was on Tuesday going to visit again Saturday to see if birds are still there, then I will report animal cruelty.
I want to say that resources is not just the pet store people help you theyre not just there for their job there their for other people and I would never ever go to another pet store then pet resources I give them 10 Stars never mind five stars thank you very much for everything you guys have done for me
Birds looked sick.4 birds were in a space only big enough for maybe 2 birds and they had the audacity to be asking for over $300.00for each one!Not the best place for a pet shop.I believe there was a prior pet shopon the same block that had burned down!
Even though the fish I bought killed my beta fish the place is well stocked with all things pets domestic and exotic. I had a good time.
Who does not like Pet Resources in the Bronx all of their stores are worth a visit. Very friendly employees and always willing to help. Its always busy so that tells you a lot. Ive shopped there for years. They always have what your looking for if not they will let you know when it will be available 😉
If you are going to go and buy yourself pet supplies this place is pretty good and fair pricing considering there are very few shops like this in that area. However I have to advise that if you are considering coming here to get your pet vaccinated you might have a better experience going somewhere where you can book an appointment.They are only able to provide vaccines during the weekend, and the veterinarian arrives in the late afternoon, around 18:45. They also do not have a waiting room, understandably because they are a small shop. This means that you and your pet will find themselves on a line outside of the shop for hours, exposed to the elements. However I have to say that their service was fast, and very perfessional. I brought two dogs and they had it over and done with in less then 15 minutes. It is also very affordable. The price per animal is $65, this includes the medication and vaccines. On average you most likely will find yourself paying anywhere between $75-$145 so price wise this is a win-win.So if you have the time and patience but tight on funds I very much recommend this place. Just make sure you get their before 18:00 so you can make the front of the line. And bring water, there arent many shops in the area.

I have been an extremely happy customer of Pest R’ Us for over 15 years. They treat us like family, and always have! Their technicians are professional, thorough, kind and always promptly on time. Their treatment is highly effective and safe for our children and pets. They pay extra attention to any problem areas and are always happy to re-treat after storms or scorpion sighting. (I have had less than 5 scorpions on my property for 12 years, and none inside!) This is an amazing group of people and I will recommend their business to anyone needing pest services. They have everything to satisfy your pets needs as well variety of new pets to choose from. The prices are fairly decent compared to other pet shops and everyone in the store is knowledge of the animals and equipment. Don’t call they usually would be preoccupied with the store because it is fairly big.

Brought about $80 worth of glo fish, 3 died in the bag before getting home which I live 12mins away .. I properly transferred into my tank, my rank water was perfectly fine for fish .. I also had my own 3 glo fish prior to buying these, I transferred the fish exactly how you are suppose to into their new home and about 30mins later ALL fish were dead INCLUDING the 3 I had prior to buying these. The store refuses to give me fish or money back dispite it clearly wasn’t my fault because they were already dying in the bag AND killed my fish I already had. Bad customer service and satisfaction.

I really appreciate the help from Angie and Raul when it comes to my bearded dragon I’m also able to get there food with no problems and also love that the pet store is close to my house

The staff was very helpful and friendly, store was clean with big selection of items, the fish looked healthy and tanks cleaned although overstocked and the classic bettas in tiny plastic tubs and the reptiles were kept inside the bare minimum fr enclosures which worries me about their animal suppliers and the animals heath although most of them looked over all pretty healthy although somewhat stressed and uncomfortable, we need to normalize the concept of fish and reptiles as exotic pets and ban these practices, other than that my experience was very pleasant, I actually went to the same pet store 2 years ago to get both of my small dogs groomed and the groomer at the time seemed very knowledgeable and compassionate towards dogs, the practices need to change but the customer service is quite impeccable

We have had PestsRus do our exterminating for years. They’re always very kind, very helpful, whatever we need them to do. We haven’t had scorpions because they are killing off the food for the scorpions by killing the other pests. They always let us know when they’re coming and they are always very professional, Always on time. Great price!
I love having this pet store in the community. Have a XL dog, being able to get food, weight gainer and more without the hassle of traveling is a blessing.

I been coming here for years i love it, good u get only good vibes from the employees Ben has been very helpful with my pets i have dogs, ferret, turtles, parrot and fish i love this place. It has become part of my family the only place i go to when i need something for my pets.
This is a very small pet store. It do not have everything that a local pet could would have. The customer service was like a 4 out of 10. Please call to see if they have what you want in stock before you decide to go.
The staff is always helpful. They are always stocked with what you need. I stopped going to local retail pet stores and commute 45 minutes just because they have such a variety and never have issues getting what I need for my beardy. They are also very knowledgeable about the animals.
Anything you need , is here .. Reptile , fish , hamster , snake.. Chameleon Camelion..etc etc .

I find that this pet shop has made a big change, upgrading their services. There is no doubt they care for animals in general. Owner is very polite and knowledgeable and willing to learn. He runs a good staff who constantly make themselves available to assist customers , as needed. Their prices are within reason and they carry numerous animal brand items/food. My favorite is having my dog groomed. So, depends on how many dogs/cats are booked. But, no doubt your animal is important ,, you will leave a satisfied customer. Prices are reasonable( seasonable discounts are available ).UPDATE: 7/22 inform the store No longer has GROOMING services. :(.. referred to Puppy Resources on Bruckner Blvd. This will require further distance to travel WALKING... but definitely will check it out.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about my pet needs. I was able to change the living conditions of my baby turtles, they are doing great now. Ive been going to this pet shop since I was little and now Im able to help my daughter care for her (our lol) pets.

Well on Friday,11, I took my dog to puppy resources 814weschester. The groomer Brandon had two other dogs so I waited for but the grooming that he did on my dog was awful patches all over just like I saw on the two dogs that he worked on I wasnt able to see the grooming but oh my God I got home and had the only heart attack when I saw the work.I paid $65.00 for the grooming but ill never do that again my dogs behavior was off for a while but im not putting her through that again.

We left Pest R Us for a short while and went with a larger pest control company. They lured us in with lower rates and attractive upfront offers. But it was a mistake and we were getting scorpions in our house. The big company came back and reapplied twice but we still had issues. Im glad to say we are back to stay with Pest R Us not only do we not have pests but Chris our technician is absolutely one of the nicest individuals I have ever met. What a great company to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.
Awesome, incredibly well stocked pet store for the area. Extremely helpful staff that were very useful in helping me select the proper medication to treat my dog based on her age, weight and gender. Will certainly come back again. Miles beyond your regular chain pet store in knowledgeability and friendliness!

I used to come to this store about 2 years ago while breeding bettas. Now that I am back again breeding snakes they have come a long way. They have way more betta inventory. The snake inventory is much better with the morphs and also availability. They now supply black worms and even almond leaves for bettas. Also aquatic plants. They have salamanders now and African draws frogs. They have other frogs and reptiles like bearded dragons, chameleons, and some lizards. They have other reptiles and aquatic animals that I may not have listed.i gave four stars because I want to see if my snakes babies survive. They feed them sparingly but Im sure alot of pet stores do for money in vs money out purposes.

So I took my child ( Minion-Carmelo) he is a 7 year old pomorianin to this location Earlier today . At first I was highly nervous because he has never been groomed before but this beautiful place changed my mindset completely. The owner son was very kind and very welcoming and attentive towards my needs and minions .the groomer was very pleasant as well took care of my baby and made sure he was taken care of .he looks so handsome and his whole attitude change when he was all finished .so I recommend this place for your animals that have everything you would need and make sure you are comfortable as a pet owner . I will be coming back with minion soon 🥰 . Thank you so much
Pretty good store, lots of things in stock, wish they had hair bows for female dogs ! Not enough room for wheelchair n not that well organized when it comes out to paying! Other than that Im constantly there! Brought this beautiful dress there!

Pest R Us have kept us bug free for years. They are so prompt and courteous, always wanting to know if weve had any problems. Weve utilized many different pest control companies in the past and our experience with Pest R Us has by far been the best!
If you want a family friendly environment that offers a range of animals at reasonable cost, than this pet shop is the place for you. Have been going here for many years and can’t complain about me experience ever. I’ve been to other pet shops in the Bronx and the prices were not comparable to this shop. I regretted purchasing from another shop and haven’t made that mistake again.
They have a earn credit system that is awesome.
I went here to get some fish to put in my tank, ended up paying $63.00 for 12 baby kaleidoscope fish. The women that worked there said there is no guarantee that all of them would survive implying that some would survive but not all. 3 weeks later all of the fish have died. Not worth the money they’re charging. Also some of the fish had deformities such as missing dorsal fins, curled tail fins etc. Very disappointed.

Good pet store if you live around the area.Quite busy at certsin times of the day but i think its due to the lack of staff. They normally have 1 or 2 people on register but you cant be mad they try their best.I wish that the tanks could be kept a little cleaner especially the reptile tanks.I come here couple times per week and it seems to look ehhh.Staff: depends on who is there can be helpful. They could smile a bit more.Prices: kind of expensive due to the fact is convenient and the next pet store is a bit far.Tip: Try to already know what your looking for or want because staff is pretty much tie up helping other people or on a register :)

I love this place!! They have great holistic foods and treats for my dog and cat. And Ben is very knowledgable!! I purchased my full freed Toy Fox Terrier from here. When I took her to the Vet for her first doctor visit the doctor said I had a healthy, happy, strong Toy Fox, and if I kept doing what Ben instructed, concerning food and exercise,she will continue that a healthy happy life.This is my good place!!

My dog received dog training from the trainer at this store and he was wonderful! He helped me so much with my dog and shes doing so much better and listening now which is a huge plus for me. Love this store!!

Hello everyone, this place is good for being your pets things. HOWEVER, they are not good for grooming. the guy that does the grooming yells and hits the animals because they dont stay still. i brought my dog here for a grooming and i saw him hitting and yelling at a sweet brown down that was getting his hair cut. DONT BRING THEM HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH THEM BEING HIT. OR MAKE SURE TO STAY WITH THEM. WHEN I WENT, MOST PEOPLE DROP OFF THEYRE PET AND WAIT FOR ROBERT TO CALL. NOT COOL. I STOOD AND SAW WHAT HE DID TO THEM.
The vet was an hour and thirty minutes late. We all had to wait in the cold with our pets who are sick already. This was unprofessional. You should be ashamed. Do better.

Great place for pet supplies
This pet shop has nice people. But nice people doesnt matter. When they are renovating, they do not move the animals. The animals are constantly consuming dust. In the winter the animals are super cold, in the summer they are super hot. They should stick to just selling things for pets, and not pets. I cant even step foot in there, every time I do, its depressing.
I purchased dewormer from pet resoures. I found out after giving my princess cashmere a 7 yr old yorkie her second dosage it had expired . I was so upset, and sad . When I went back to pet resoures. It got even worst. When I pointed out to the employee that it was expired. His response was we check our merchandise every month. I lost my mind . How when the dewormer expired in may and we are in September. No sorry or compassion at all. He refused to give me my money back because they store policy is no refunds. However due to they inconvenience to me or any customer. I think that rule should have been override. He did give me another package of dewormer. I only used one pack. An now have a incomplete pack as when you deworm your pet you have to use three, three days in a row. They put me thru alot of emotions and inconvenience as my princess cashmere is my child not just a dog . I am looking for the proper people to contact so pet resoures can be investigated. They are selling expired meds and I am concern with them having live animals are their being taking care of properly. If anyone knows please comment .....

Nice pet store and lovely animals. Some employees seem very nice. Ms Monique is a amazing women and is always happy. Ms jessie is a very helpful young woman, the owner has alot of knowledge on the Animals. I was very disappointed on how the groomer talks to customers very unprofessional.
I walked into this store and fell in love. The Forrest’s in the aquariums they have for reptiles are amazing. They have everything you need. Everything is reasonably priced as well. The staff know their stuff. Petland or Petco just can’t compare.

Just took my pomeranian there for a nail trim and dog snacks. The workers were extremely competent and well knowledged. We will definitely be returning for all our pet needs!
My dog was there 5 hours for grooming and came home so thirsty like she wasnt given any water the whole time. Poor ventilation in the small area where the dog kennels are, only an open back door and a fan. Her hair was uneven and obvious spots were missed. She has cuts near her genitals that has her in a frenzy, and nobody said anything when I picked her up. While leaving, noticed 8 or more fairly newborn parrots in a 10 gallon fish tank with no heat source. This pet store isnt someones passion, its simply a business.
Great staff, good products a little pricy but vet services for check up and vaccinations on Saturdays, 7 day a week grooming are budget friendly! Highly recommend!

They have a nice stock of animals with great customer service. Ive been going to this store for over 10 years and love it.
And once again the way yhat these little mom and pop stores go they would need more traning on how to treat there customers better. This so cal groomer aka Robert from yhis so call store for pets. Was not there afther makng an appointment. Yes things happing but kt evening a call the day before. Really people. Now i see why peopele go to real pet stors loke petco and other professional. NEVER AGAIN.. hey i look at it as a sign may be the groomer qas ot that good..... thank you for notting

Fish there has ich. Staff is ok but really dont relate to you as I waited a long time to be attended to buy fish. There was a heavyset mean lady manager that change my mind ever going there again. Unfortunately fish bought there did not survive. I dont recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Hopes this help anyone in the Bronx. There are better shops like the one in burnside. Small shop but better service.

I must say ! I’ve been to every high top other pet shop. Well this one in the Bronx (Westchester ) is so well knowledgeable staff but even more ,the owner!! Forgot his name, with every animal and supply they sell! I’m so satisfied with this pet shop and it’s located in the Bronx! The dude KNOWS HIS STUFF! (OWNER) 😎🤙🏼

I remember 13 years ago I want inside and the owner was so nice. I got a puppy from his shop 12 years ago. I still have the dog she is an awesome dog. In the summer I was in the restaurant with my family and the owner from the pet shop was there he recognize me and He stop me to say hi. That’s to show you how nice this man is and when you go to his shop he treats you like part of his family so I recommend this place to everyone he will always remember your face and never act like a stranger.. He also has good price in his store and he will work closely with you. Every Friday he also have in his shop a Doctor for your animals.. Awesome staff’s as well. My daughters and I loves this place so much..
The workers are pushy in getting you to buy more. Plus this place is for emergencies only. I have found this place too pricey, almost everything in that store is found cheaper in petland, Petco, and Amazon

They have a lot to offer, you can buy a fish or maybe some cat food, they also have dogs leashes. To say the least they have it all and they have great staff.
I take my puppy to Rob the groomer. He is excellent with my pup. She is a teacup, very small dog and delicate and He is very gentle with her.
They are very people friendly, if you have any questions or concerns just go to the owner or the heavy black American who’s seems to be the owners.
The staff there is great, they are all animal lovers and very helpful and informative.
I found what i was looking for, not the best or neat store around. Staff is not the most friendly or helpfull. Lots of old and dusty products but well stocked.
Its an old place, it do not look like a big brand pet store, great customer service, fish 50% are good, the owner good guy and helpful, all really needs is a new to make it feel like a pet store in a store and not a pet store in a garage or basement.
Absolutely repulsive! Walked in just to browse and noticed that the dogs displayed for purchase were eating their own feces! Literally scrambling for it in the paper litter. They looked so frail and sick, two werent even growing hair and had a wierd scaly skin condition. My heart goes out to those poor little ones. Its evident they arent being looked after properly and the workers there are local teens who could give a damn about the condition of the animals. Im calling to report this business immidiately. If you consider your pets as family I would not support this pet store AT ALL.

Rude staff starting with the owener. Never have time to help and always in a very bad mood. Most of the fish in stock seem to always have ich, especially their goldfish. Other than that they have average pricing for stuff.

I visited them for the first time today. Had some questions about medications for my cat and they were very helpful and professional with that. Ill be going back.

2022-03-26Charming neighborhood gem..Fish dept small but worthly packed with quality (some exotic) stock & aquatic plants, aquarium supplies. Also is stocked with supplies for all pet needs- dogs cats birds & reptiles. Even nice selection of houseplants. Saturday morning peals of joy from neighborhood kids makes it magical.

2022-05-23Love this pet shop it’s great for all your animal needs. They sell live feed animals for snakes not just frozen that works for people like me.The owner is great and runs a good healthy environment. No matter if he is on meal he will still come out his office to help you.Besides the owner, One worker in my opinion stands out from the rest only because his love for the fish and the way he takes care of them. He showed me how to keep my small Aquarium healthy and keep my fish alive and happy. For months I could not get my tank to stay stable and stop my fish from dying until I found this guy Rivera who walked me through step by step on does and don’ts of the fish tank. Although I didn’t buy the fish from This store he still took the time to answer all my questions every time I came in there to buy food for my snake. Great workers make a great environment for business owners

2022-05-11I go there for all my supplies for my jack Dempsey. One sales person helped me out with my new 55 Gallon tank. I forgot her name. She delivered my tank to my house. Thank you. But some workers that work there need to know what they are selling and some employees there do not know anything about what they selling. But my hats off to the lady that helped me out with my stuff.

2022-05-14I am so happy with my experience so far with pet resources. They really helped me getting my dog back to health and in a great weight. If anybody needs help with their dog cats or any other animals I highly recommend them. They really care about your pets needs and health.

2022-03-26I took my dog for grooming and she was practically shaved bald. On top of that her nerves are definitely fluttered she is very irritated by her ears and private area also. My dog is a very friendly dog who’s has been cut prior to this. And did not respond this way. Not a happy customer at all with the grooming services. Patience is a must have when grooming pets. My dog is definitely not behaving the same as prior.

2022-04-03Dont recommend buying fish from here they are over priced and sick. Purchased fish, within a few hours at home in a quarantine tank started showing signs. Was told ohh well it was fine when it left the store. Will never shop there again and wont recommend friends and fellow fish lovers.
