I am beyond frustrated and annoyed with the services of this grooming department. My husband dropped our dog off at 11:30 and was told to be back by 12:39. No had called him to tell him our dog was ready so he called twice and there was no answer. He walked into the grooming department and no one was there. He finally received our dog from the groomers at 4:30, for a simple bath and face trim. The face trim was absolutely horrible they shaved her face completely balled, and then charged me $68 for the service. I will never recommend these groomers or petco for grooming services. A bath and face trim should not take that long and if it is going to take that long then there should be proper communication.
Love Petco. We go weekly for training with Regina at Petco. We have gone since our puppy was three months old and she helped us socialize him in puppy playtime (let me tell you, he howled like he was a banshee the first day). He was absolutely terrified of most things, they were so new to him and we had no idea how to raise a puppy.Well, hes 9 months old now and has great manners, hes confident and you wouldnt have recognized him six months ago with how proud he is and we are. She taught is a great deal and we feel confident as pet parents now.All the staff is absolutely amazing, not to sale the rest of them short. They recognize customers and their pets and treat customers very well. They always know what we need and are helpful with any questions.
The two ladies were so nice and very helpful getting me the doggie stairs from a high place in the store and doing price comparison shopping for me

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the care of the fish and other small animals. These are our new female bettas in which they helped us choose.
Not really busy at all, but couldnt take a minute to check on a specific product. The answer I received was we got our truck on Friday, it may be in there yet. Not even an offer to check if it might be relatively close to being put out. great service Ill just make the trip to Great Barrington next time, they go out of their way to please your babies!

Staff is rude and seems bothered when you ask a question. A staff member Is nearly impossible to find in the first place. Never has the items Im looking for in stock.
My dog participated in the Adult 1 training class. Regina the trainer is top notch. Great class and a great trainer.
The staff was knowledgeable, very helpful and accommodating, I wish I could remember their names.

Staff is nice and usually have what Im looking for. Im not great with names but the shorter guy that usually is in the reptile area is awesome! Some staff can be a bit slow to help but I still give 5 stars just because its a good experience when I go in.
Went in here for milk Bone stuff that are usually at every supermarket but not here on the day I went in. They were all doing construction in the building which really didnt hamper my shopping but I didnt find any of what I was looking for.
Had another great day of dog training with Regina! Regina is an amazing trainer and has helped Cooper so much ❤️

Excellent grooming program VIP treatment!It was like a Spa day for my German Shepherd with only one groomer from beginning to end.No kenneling! Real personal service
The staff is always very nice and helpful. They always help with any questions and if the worker ur talking to personally does not know the answer they find someone who does. The ladys at the checkout also are super friendly and will always price match if there a difference then the online price

I always find all our pet needs at good prices at Petco. When we were paying, the cashier was very friendly and even gave us some helpful advice for taking care of our new bearded dragon. We will definitely be back!
The people are lovely, the store is clean and well stocked (except for not having any fancy feast!). I was upset by the number of animals in cages. I didnt think the turtles had enough land. There were 4 turtles in one tank and 1 small rock. This is wrong. They had no way to get ashore! I told somebody who work there but what can she do? This is your corporate decision to sell animals that should be in the wild, and not even give them decent habitats while they are in captivity.
Had to get grain free dog food for my fur baby who has developed allergies. Lots of choices, though many pretty expensive. Found their house brand which is affordable. Lots of toys. Found a new collar too.
Customer service was awesome - the woman that helps to check me out is always so pleasant. Also, you took bag a food my dog couldnt tolerate so many thanks for that.
Went here for our dog to get groomed and at first we was nervous though it was his first haircut but they were so good with him and took great care of him! We will definitely be coming back here they did an amazing job.
First time I have ordered online for store pickup. The young man at the front counter was polite, professional and customer-oriented. He explained to me how the process worked and delivered the items to me at the counter quickly. It was a pleasure. I will do my shopping online now.
Love this place! The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable, and they have a great selection of food. The kitten/cat food brand Whole Hearted is the only one my cat will eat, and the blueberry yogurt treats for dogs seems to be a huge hit with my puppers!

I called about a chameleon, service over phone was handled very well and friendly. When arriving, I was helped right away. She walked me to where the chameleons were located and the gentleman helped me there. All very helpful and friendly.

I went to this Petco to get a few emerald crabs ( which they didnt have the past 2 weeks Ive went) and a blenny. When I got into the store I went right to the aquatics Department. Someone else was being helped and getting fish. Right after they were done I was about to tell the employee I also needed help, but she walked away before I could say anything. I waited there for 20 minutes even went up to the register to ask for help. They paged for someone to help me and I waited another 10 minutes. There was an employee causally talking with a costumer and he looked over more than once, but didnt bother to end his conversation to help me. So I left usually this petco is really good and quick to help. My experience today was very negative. Apparently nobody was available to help me even though I waited 30 minutes. It wasnt even that busy, very disappointed.
The customer service was amazing, however the prices were out of control. We were shopping for our new puppy and the crates, leashes, collars etc were literally DOUBLE the price of the same items that we ended up purchasing from a larger store close by.

Not well stocked with advertised items and show no interest in helping customers obtain them. If the advertised item you came in for is not on floor, dont bother the check out clerk; shes not interestedShop elsewhere like Petsmart or Tractor Supply. People there care.
What I order online is never in stock at the store. Not their fault. Giving them 2 stars because they have virtually no options for lizards. They sell lizards, but dont have any live food besides crickets. The mealworms are the only other choice and most of the time they are dead or not available at all. They are kept in improper temperatures and in sawdust with no food. They shouldnt sell animals they dont sell food for. Its insane.
I love the store manager Jen so helpful and kind and helped me with my returns and needs! I find the employee amd the merchandise to all be well organized.

I am a disabled senior citizen and it is hard for me to shop. I called Petco, spoke with Mikey, and asked him to please put the items I needed at the register and told him I would be over in about an hour to pick them up. He not only did as I requested, he did it with great patience, kindness and understanding. Ive had 25 surgeries, the most recent was attaching my right hip to my sacrum with 3 pins. Waiting for the bones to fuse makes shopping very difficult for me. I am also a cancer survivor. I cannot express my gratitude more than to continue shopping there for my rescue cats and recommend it to my friends and neighbors. Many thanks and kudos to Mikey!

Petco is a great pet store. It is always surprisingly clean here, and the employees are always super nice and helpful. They sell quality products; their Whole Hearted product line are actually highly rated.
Very helpful - had an issue with an online subscription, and after explaining that online & store were unfortunately separate, and that therefore the problem was only solvable by calling a customer service number... they immediately offered to take my info and call that number for me while I looked for the other things I needed.They then found me while I was browsing the store to say they’d fixed the online issue for me - could I please log in on my phone to confirm - and could they help with anything else? They were then able to come up with a creative solution for a problem my grandmother’s elderly cat had.
Great staff, but not enough . Need more people on the sales floor during off hours. Not just busy times. Wait for a cashier most days and forget needing stuff like fish or crickets. They have one staff member doing 5 things.
I have 13 birds....i just wish that there had been more bird products in their store.... otherwise I give them a 10! Their employees were very polite, friendly, and helpful!!😁
A large chain store with a small store feel.Clean. All employees are a joy to talk to.And although it is hard to see critters in cages, it seems as if they really do take care of them as best they can.
Nice staff at checkout and pleasant throughout the store but none actually asked if I needed help while I was trying to find dog nail clippers. A simple can I help you find anything? could have helped. Again very polite though. Its a big box store but as a company they appear to be offering services more in keeping with locally owned small boutique animal supply stores. Their pet food selection is wide and varied and is going artificial ingredient free treats and foods. This is great news for pet owners concerned with ensuring quality in their pets diet. I also like the brands and quality of the toys. They have a wide range of options for any type of chewer, de-fluffer, or tugger you may have. A little more attention to the customer would make it 5 stars.
Theres a worker here that I cant remember his name but hes very knowledgeable about the fresh water fish they sell here. They definately do good sales in fish it seems because when we go there looking for healthy fish to our ever growing love of the aquarium hobby, they always have new fish thats seem healthy.

I love petco ,I just wish you had coupons for grooming and I love the clinic you have. The customer service is always abgreet with a smile you get acknowledged when u walk in .i have used grooming service and the clinic service its fantastic.my daughter loves to look at the fish and reptiles and ferretts are a big attraction.i also wonder if you can have a petting day for the children under supervision of course.Over all customer satisfaction reigns high.
Absolutely one stop shopping for all my babys needs! They have a huge selection of TikiCat that my Kakashi loves and always a sale on toys! Also the cashiers are super helpful and awesome!
Well cashier is rude ... Live feed supply is never up to par .... And your animals look like their 1 foot out the door ..... Over all Im done with Petco .... The store was clean, the staff are friendly, always helpful at checkout and the products at the Kingston store are high quality. Any time I need something for my pets I will use Petco.
I don’t even live in Kingston, and the Poughkeepsie store is actually closer to me, but the drive is totally worth it! I shopped around for dog training classes and when I met the trainer at the Petco in Poughkeepsie I was really not impressed. I’m SO GLAD I went to the Kingston location!!! I originally planned on only doing the basic puppy classes, but so far we have stuck with Regina as our trainer all the way into adult classes! She really knows what she’s doing, and this is coming from someone who has hired a behavioralist in the past. I have a big breed dog, and Regina has been a life saver! Any time I have questions about food allergies or finding a good dog food to suit a big breed puppy, she’s there. Any time I need help about a specific training issue, she’s there. I absolutely love her! Our classes are always time well spent and my 6 month old puppy is becoming a well behaved adult thanks to these classes and all of Regina’s awesome advice. I really enjoy taking him to puppy play time also. It is extremely well run, clean, safe, and excellent for socialization. I really can’t say enough good things about Regina and this Petco!
There is no sign in the store directing you where to pick up what you purchased and paid for online. Having to wait in line at the registers to pick up the purchase kind of defeats the purpose, and doesnt really save any time.
Normally the staff is friendly, and I can find what I am looking for at a reasonable price. This trip I was unable to find the cat food I was looking for but did locate the rest of the items I needed to get.
Petco Always went out their way to try to make sure the we were happy with our purchase and price matches their online prices.
I brought my wife haired terrier mix to apetco,Kingston NY for a shampoo.The groomer said that he needed shaving in 2 places. I told her specifically not to shave,but to snipIf needed.She disregarded my instructions and shaved.One leg is practically bare and his coat doesn’t cover.I complained to the manager and the fee was returned.But Not the $9 plus tip I had left the groomerWithout having inspected her work. Y dog has been scratching vigorously from the product they used toWash which was not rinsed out.Never againM. Lucas

Absolutely hands down the best customer service ive received from any pet supply store great facility lots of of brands and accessories to buy for pets.
I needed help to get my cat litter in the car, and they were great. I explained the problem I had about trying to buy the products online and they took care of it.
No one helped me. I did know where my treats for my dog were.

2022-05-17I shop here often .. but the other day when I went they have Green spotted Puffers that just came in.. they were in freshwater.. which these puffer fish are NOT freshwater fish. I asked about them and they told me they couldnt sell them as they were sick.. well no duh! I really wish these big chain stores actually educated their employees.
