I was there once but they didnt have what I needed which was yesterdays news which the vet said I hadto use after my cats spaying.
Petco great store. Not as many sales as used to be. I did not like their grooming services. I took my dog and paid $118 for service and he looked like I could cut him on my own and there was two people holding a 4 lb dog. So needless to say their grooming services are not that great but their regular services inside the store and their veterinarian services are amazing.
Had our dog groomed here. The staff was friendly and took great care of our dog. They had him ready when expected and there were no surprises in cost or anything else. Our boy came back looking very fresh and smelling nice and clean. Bently was fully wiped out after his pampering though and needed a nap on the couch as you can see. He such a good boy. Great job by the groomers there. Thanks a bunch! We will be back.
I came into the store looking for a very specific type of product for one of my dogs (eye wash). My confidence in finding what I sought was rewarded by the ease in which I found the product and the options that were available so that I could get the right one. The checkout experience was top-notch as always.
I went to get some fish for my tank. The employee, Gabe, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable about fish and didnt want me to put fish in my tank that wouldnt work so he spent time figuring that out. Workers like Gabe should be recognized!
A lot of great selection for pets. Great prices like a small shopping mall for our loyal companions.
They have ferrets, fish, and reptiles for purchase and cats for adoption. You can purchase food and supplies for all types of pets and there is dog grooming and training classes.
The bettas and employees here are great! The fish are well-kept and clean. If you see a betta in a dirty container, theyll be cleaned soon without worry!
Dissatisfied, again! Ive been going for weeks, spending $$ every time, Im a regular - looking for the same item. CAT GRASS! For weeks now, actually more like 2 months, they have let the existing grass grow, overgrown and cut back with a scissors, still kept it out, neglected it and last week it was in horrible shape, all shriveled on the floor in the corner. Still for sale.Cats need grass now, more in the fall and winter as their coast change. I spoke with the salesman, which all I got was the Covid line. Why, at the height of Covid, the only thing we ran out of was TP? Now everything is off the shelf. Petco cant get my cat food but Chewy can get it practically overnight. Poor planning.I need that already grown grass, now!

I dont know guys it feels like this place is going out of business... They have only one person to be seen most of the time and the last time I went to pick up crickets they said they didnt have much.Wheres the staff? Wheres the dogs? Its a ghost town up in this place.They have the small animals available with most animal and pet needs so they are good for that.. just a crumby in-store atmosphere.
Every time I order online for in-store pick up I get an email stating that my items are ready. I arrive at the store and every time, and I mean every time, there are items not in my order because they are now out of stock. My most recent online purchase I was charged for 2 items $60, I went and picked up my order and they only had 1 item the other, now apparently out of stock, was not there. I was not refunded any money and I am currently still being charged for the 2 items. This is unprofessional and unacceptable, and this has happened every time I have ordered online from petco. This will be the absolute last purchase I make from this store.
Vet was very good with our dog. Quick and easy. Prices were better than Banfield. Will be going back to them.
People there are super friendly and helpful, however they have a program vital care that has much to be desired. $20/month for unlimited nails and teeth cleaning but we cant make an appointment on line we must visit the store...total waste of time.Totally fixable cmon now.

Honestly the best petco I’ve been to on Long Island, from what I’ve seen the staff all seem to have a love for animals and made sure I knew how to take care and actually gave me all accurate info unlike most petcos. One of the employees was so nice to even go through every hamster enclosure and picked out the nicest one. Every time I go into the store they always ask me how my hamster is doing and genuinely seem to care. I also noticed it’s one of the only petcos that doesn’t pick up mice by their tale (which can cause them to break their tale if not held by the base and can lead to a expensive vet visit and the mouse being very aggressive from trauma) I would give it a 5 star but I really find petco as a whole industry wrong, I hate how they sell critter carriers with it being stated it should be used as a permanent cage. I also dislike how they sell a lot of food with really bad things for hamsters and gerbils like dyes. I also dislike how they sell pine and cedar bedding. One good thing is that they don’t sell mesh wheels (at least at this petco) which is good.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Bit pricy (as compared to online stores like Chewy) but great in a pinch. Good selection of products but out of stock on some items. Clean and Covid protected.
Seems they had low stock on stuff I did find dog food but scarse understandably in this crazy 🤪time

The staff are always friendly and helpful, they carry food that pleases my feline beast, its fun to watch the ferrets play (or sleep), and visit the cute pythons and geckos. All of the animals seem happy and clean and well-cared for. Whenever there are cats for adoption, I wish I could take them all home
I emailed my order in and with in an hour, was received and filled. The people at Petco are always so pleasant and eager to help! I called them from the parking lot, and they come right to the car. I even watched some one carry everything out and load it into some ones trunk. So they didnt have to get out. Just the best customer service.
I was purchasing cat scratching pads for our cats. There was no price on them, so a young man who works in the store, saw me looking and came over and asked could he help me, he couldnt find the price either, and went all the way back up to the front of the store to find out for me, then when he came back he asked me was there anything else he could help me with, I thanked him & said no, I knew the cat food I wanted to get. The young man who was working the register was also very nice.
Staff is friendly facility clean and they often have the products that Im seeking for my turtles and dog.
The staff are always willing to assist me when I need help finding or have a question about an item. I enjoy the fact that you can order online and pick up at the store. My golden retriever enjoys going in the store for treats and toys, and Im glad the floors are clean and we are welcomed when we come in.
I gave 4/5 because about 4/5 of the staff were extremely helpful and kind! We bought a guinea pig from this Petco and spoke to two different staff members who were very educated on these animals! Recommend!

My dog loves this place. I take him here for his shots for rabies and boarding. However, he does not do well with getting his nails trimmed or the grooming here. Although he can be extremely difficult the groomers that work here are still ever so pleasant and they are able to suggest a few other locations for us to go. The staff in general happen to be very professional and helpful.
This place is good for pet supplies but when it comes to grooming the customer service suffers. I have two dogs one pit/lab and the other Maltese/Pomeranian. Each grooming is over $70 and it was always a good hair cut however when it comes to accommodating their customers they suck! They tell you the cut will be anywhere from 3-4 hours with the lab its more like 1-2. Now they call you when the dog is done and expect you to jump up to get the dog once they do. I try to book my day around 2 crazy long appointments and if you cant be there immediately they freak and tell you you need to come because the groomer has tickets to a show and needs to leave or something. I pay good money to have my dogs treated well and to be treated like a customer. Its your job to accommodate me not the other way. If you quote me 4 hours dont freak if I expect to be there in 4 hours. Needless to say I will not bring my dog back.
I went in there with my girlfriend to shop for our new puppy. The staff was so helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. They have gained a customer for life. All of the staff members went out of their way to assist and answer our questions. The groomer, Roseann, came out and personally greeted us and our puppy wasnt even there! Paul spent about 25 minutes with us ensuring that we had everything on the puppy checklist. Such an incredible experience.
Petco has really come through during the Pandemic. My dog Maggie is on a maintenance prescription, Galliprant, which I mail away for from Petco Pharmacy. It was such a pleasure that they took care of getting a renewal from my vet and also letting me know well in advance that I needed a new hard copy of the script. Also they keep me apprised of the order every step of the way. The price is the best around. Once less thing for me to worry about is amazing. The store is the same way, very helpful and comparable pricing.
Smiling, welcoming person at register greeted me and made me feel like an appreciated customer. Store is well stocked, orrering a wide array of pet necessities. Prices higher than expected, resulting in 4 star rating. Store clean as a whistle, animal enclosures clean and well stocked with bedding, water and food.

An employee helped me with litter bc I was having an issue with one of my cats. Ive been a cat owner for 25 years and she recommended a litter, SWheatScoop, and I gave it a shot (I have now tried *everything* at this point). What an immense difference! My cat is better for it, as am I. I went back a couple weeks later to grab more & she remembered me & asked how my cat was...and no, I was not even near the litter yet giving away why I was there. So, kudos to their customer service because she really helped me and my fur-baby, Loki.
Petco made it easy to order, notified me when my order was ready for pick up and put my order directly into my car when I arrived. Couldnt have asked for nicer, friendlier service - especially while we all do our best with social distancing & staying home unless we have to go out. I ran out of pet food as I usually go on my lunch hour from work...since Im not working during COVID19 Petco made it so easy to get my pups their food. Thanks again.
They dont engage their customers and dont say good morning or good evening. I went in to buy dog food and several employees watched me struggled from the back of the store to the front store with 12 cans of foods + the heavy dog and manager looked at me and just laughed. The items on the shelves are not arranged correctly so Prices are mismatched everywhere. So all the can foods were on the shelf for $1.99 but rang up for $3.49, and that was my only reason for picking up so many cans. That too they found hilarious. I am not going back to that store...
Usually there for nail clipping and grinding them down after, which is $15. Prices are competitive as far as I know. Full grooming of small breeds is approximately $43. Recently updated my email so their Pals Reward program can send me store dollars I can redeem at my next service. Friendly and attentive staff also.
When you walking youre greeted thats very nice as you walking around right away can I help you I need you to help me find a good dog food for my dog and not just that person a few other people that work there when actually out of their way to help me find a brush for my dog very nice never have someone I go to that store Rocky Point Petco the staff there should be rewarded every once in awhile otherwise have a great day and hopefully every time I go in there its like that and so far it has been thats a really good thing

Ive been bringing my puggle here to Petco in Rocky Point for about 6 or more years. I used Roseann T who is awesome. Shes a pleasure to speak with and always so sweet and happy to see my dog. He loves her too. She makes a stressful situation for him a pleasant one. He always looks and smells great. She always tells me how he did during the groomer.
Very friendly staff. Both dogs love going and go crazy the minute we arrive. The employees welcome them by name. Prices are good, but better when catching the right sales. Make sure to sign up for rewards points
The section for small animal food and treats was nice, they had the crunch sticks my piggies love. Very nice cashier, she let me know a cat food was really cheap because it was discontinued and paused my order while I ran back to get more.
Employees are courties and helpful. The store is well stocked, however you cant find everything. For prices they are a little pricey (you have to shop around and you can find better prices), in a rush they are good. Reason for 3 stars is that there is No grooming for Cats, at this location and/or others locations in the area. So happened that we needed the services, due to a serious problem in family. We were forced to go to PetSmart. 🐈
I love this grooming service. Lisa took care of my Yorkie Titan. She spoke with me in length about what I wanted and how I wanted his hair done. I was also worried about him because he is so wiggly but she put us both at ease. Lisa is very caring and does a great job grooming. She even wrote a lovely note about his grooming session. Titan took to her very well. I highly recommend Petco Rocky Point grooming and Lisa.

Very nice and helpful staff the store had everything i needed in stock.
When I went into the store, almost every single reptile tank was filthy and full of feces. One of the iguanas had a broken toe and shed stuck to his skin because the humidity in the tank was at 35% when it should be 85-90%. One of the beardies had a broken tail and didn’t look right. They need to fire whoever is taking care of the reptiles because they are doing absolutely terrible at their job. I wouldn’t be doing this I wasn’t truly concerned about the animals there.
Roseann is just the best! She grooms my dogs and cares for them just like they were her own. Weve been going to her for several years, and would never even consider bringing them anywhere else. They just adore her, and she them! We completely trust our babies with her, and even though one is difficult and cannot have his nails cut by anyone but Daddy.....she does an exceptional job with everything else, and we would never expect her to even TRY to cut his nails! :) We love you Roseann!!!!!

Roseann is great with our baby Hank! From the very beginning she’s been giving us tips on everything! Hank absolutely loves her. She is so gentle and patient with him! We wouldn’t let anyone else groom our baby!
The young man, I do not recall his name, wow super helpful with every question and need for finding what we were looking for, he is also a trainer and will be attempting to help with our puppy. Super clean store!
I had my dog groomed at the Rocky Point Petco and was very pleased. They originally said it would take about 3 hours for her to be ready and she was actually ready about a half hour earlier. She looked great when I picked her up. The groomers were very friendly, the place was clean, etc. I would recommend this place for grooming, and I will bring my dog back.
I bring my dog Mollie to Petco for grooming, Roseann takes wonderful care of her! I cant say enough about her and would highly recommend her to anyone. Mollie is 11 years old and Roseann is so gentle with her and puts her at ease.
Well kept , was not to busy so I could talk along time to food consultant in homemade diet area to see about what was new. Good after holiday toy sales.

My Groomer is Roseann from the Rocky Point Petco Let me just say she is absolutely fabulous!! My dog Bailey she is a Pitbull/Lab mix who has separation anxiety when it comes to my husband but Bailey loves to go see her Aunt Roe as we refer to her. Roseann is so great with Bailey you can see the love she has for my Bailey and Baileys love for Roseann, when I say to Bailey were going to see Aunt Roe she gets so excited. She is a great Groomer we are so happy and blessed to have Roseann as our Groomer!!! Bailey is happy which makes us happy. She lets me know if she sees something I should let my Vet know about. Roseann is not just our Pet Groomer shes part of our family to Bailey shes Aunt Roe. We love you Roseann and Thank You!!!❤️💕🐶🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
The cleanest of All Petcos. The friendliest Staff. I went in there to question about the birds, a staff member named Jesse, who was as bright as can be, completely informed me about the species and thier proper care. 5 stars from the universe.

My dog died while being groomed at a PetCo in Pennsylvaina. It was the most devastating thing that could have ever happened to a dog owner and I would just beware. Google it if you want to hear more about this happening in big pet stores like this.

Add 50-125% on everything. Have half of your staff be smart, animal lovers, and the other half idiots. And you have yourself a Petco.When theyre wrong, its bad.But, tbe smart employees are real smart. You just have a 50/50 shot at getting a smart one.

Petco is the worst. Dogs walk in the store deathly afraid of the grooming saloon. The employees on the floor are almost always either miserable or fed up with customers.

2020-11-21The employees werent super helpful. They had a good variety of items and my dog enjoyed the trip very much so! We bought matching sweaters and they are simply adorable. Got lots of compliments!

2022-03-25Roseann has been grooming our pug Max since he was a puppy. He is always excited to visit her, tail wagging. She does a great job and his coat glows. She also grooms our older Boston terrier Indy, clipping and grinding his nails. Both dogs look great after a visit with Roseann.*Update, although both the dogs mentioned in this review have crossed the rainbow bridge we continue to bring our dogs to Roseann. She does a great job.

2022-02-11Beware before purchasing the training class -- it registers you, accepts payment, but then the class isnt run the day or time you purchased. And then even when new date set, rescheduled again. And then once it started, every second or third work expect to be canceled and the part thats vexing -- with no one from the store letting you know, no courtesy call -- you find out when you show up at the store (with your dog) and are told its not running that day But its not what it appears to be -- that is, youre basically paying them and then waiting and hoping the class runs, on a day and time they set (not what you chose) and then semi-regularly. . Such a shame b/c the sessions that did run, the trainer was **terrific**.

2021-11-16Andrea went above and beyond for me today❤...I am pregnant and was nervous about blowing up an donut pillow for my sick dog and she offered to blow it up for me personally because she didnt have a pump. Thank you so much for that 💯

2021-03-18Great store, very friendly staff, well stocked.Two years ago my Coal attended puppy training and Peter was very patient with my questions and concerns and showed a lot of affection.
