My baby Oreo first 😍 spa day happened in petco off the Hutch and white Stone Bridge, and the young lady who took care of her was so calm and pleasant with my baby. Thanks so much! We need to schedule another spa day! I think her name Rachel. Please forgive me if I have it wrong.
Went here after waiting an entire month for my dog to get groomed his vaccinations are all up to date I gave my dog his calming chews as you can see on the tub it’s a calming aid to help with with excited dogs like mine . Anyway we got turned away saying that they couldn’t see him because I gAve him the calming chewie I’m like that doesn’t say that on the website at all not to give your dog any treats 24 hrs prior to the appointment, plus they sell it in petco I bought it from petco , So they rescheduled me for this Tuesday but overall it was a bad experience and no communication to the pet parents about what not to give your animal before the service . I sent the store and cooperation an email about my experience and to ask them to update their requirements and what not to do before grooming services and I have yet to hear back from anyone smh
Found what we were looking for, for our dog by accident. Just causally walked in & found was we where looking for. Customer service was very well. All employees where very helpful. Only negative thing I can say the store was a little messing & unemployed other than that. Had a good experience.
Worst petco ever! Staff is not helpful nor knowledgeable. Theyre never stocked with the pet supplies you need. But the big issue...I brought a male guinea pig from this location. I specifically asked for a male because I didnt want or need any babies. They said he was male as they took him out of the male enclosure. Turns out he was female & she had 5 babies. So now I have 7 guinea pigs. They apologized for the inconvenience & that was it. They are glueless & just dont care. They are not helpful & dont know whats going on at their store. Its pathetic! Will never go back there!
The amount of times these ppl cancel my grooming appointments is ridiculous. So unprofessional. Scheduled my apt a month in advance, they cancel less than 24 hours before the apt. Rescheduled if for the following week and they cancel again - dique theres always an emergency with the groomer. Like....do you not have other groomers? If not, please reassess whether you should be offering grooming services in the first place.
This location is one of my favorites. We’ve done Puppy Training Level 1 with Marianna and are now doing private lessons. She’s attentive, kind, smart and very knowledgeable about dogs and training methods. We love going by just for the opportunities for social interaction. We’ve made plenty of friends and have made contacts for play dates. This location offers lots of food and toy options in addition to supplies. They aren’t always staffed well and most often have to pull a floor associate to the register leaving no assistance to customers with questions. Vetco comes once a month for pet vaccinations. I find the lines are crazier in the spring and summer than the fall. I’ve never had a bad experience with any of the vets as it’s never the same one. They also have social activities for dogs like Halloween costume parties and puppy play groups. I’d definitely recommend this location for your dog needs.
I originally wrote a beautiful review when I first went to Petco but I went there last night and I was so disappointed with some of the people on the floor that are supposed to help you and I went there to get Vetericyn plus for my cat who literally ripped his hair out of his head and was bleeding and I asked someone to go in the back to get it and he said to me ITS SUCH A MESS BACK THERE SO I WONT BE ABLE TO FIND WHAT YOU WANT! And I made sure they had this in stock before I got there and with that remark the employee made, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PETCO ON HUTCHINSON RIVER PKWY AGAIN! Very Disappointed, Like what are they doing all day, Maybe they should fix the stock room
Two years ago, my older sister adopted our two guinea pigs Moxie & Lila from this Petco. We have been going to this Petco since 2015. This Petco has been improving with their staff, more food options for small animals, bedding, toys for small animals & their discounts (wish there were more discounts in store rather than online).
I brought my dog for the first time to this location, and it was the slowest service ive ever had. I brought him around 12:00pm, and around 7:00pm i call to see if he is ready and had to call about 7 times to get someone on the phone. The store “closes” at 8:00PM so i get here around 7:50, and i can see them still working on my dog through the window, and from the looks of it, he has spots where they shaved more.I doubt that it was knots because i had brushed out his knots in the morning, because in other places i go to they usually feel for knots to tell me if he can get a certain cut or not.And if it was knots she should have told me that he had knots when i dropped him off.Do not recommend this location at all.
I just got my first kitten and was clueless as to where to start to get everything I needed. I asked the cashier and a guy that was down stocking and they were both very helpful and guided me and informed me about what I needed. Gave me a lot of relief to know I was being taken care of and got the information necessary to take care of my little one. Great store overall
The customer service here is horrible. From the aquatics department to the cashiers. The rest rooms are often DIRTY. The store itself is usually a mess. The associates are uneducated on products. I understand most businesses are under staffed due to the pandemic but this shouldn’t change the quality of service given. Imagine going into a store and not one person out of the 5 people working can assist you; and when you call customer service you’re placed on a 10 minute hold just to be hung up on… and trust me I’ve been respectful and patient this whole time but NOW I’m On my way! for a refund…
Cute place, organized and workers are polite. Only thing I disliked is that the gentleman I worked with to get a robo hamster practically just dropped her in the box. My robo ( Miu ) is very young and I wish he took more care with her and gently placed her in the box instead of dumping her in there.As well I dont believe they give enough space to some hamsters they have there and the cats they had for adoption. Very crammy for animals.
I took my bully, Genesis to trim and buff her nails for the first time there. Rachels customer service was awesome. She was super-friendly, answered all my questions efficiently and I definitely felt comfortable leaving Genesis in her care. Thank you for the great experience.
If I could give negative stars I would. I bought a guinea pig here and was told he was 6 months old. He was quiet and something seemed off. I called them and asked to speak to the vet that examined him they put me on hold then hung up. I went in person and the guy I spoke to told me to get a new parakeet to keep him company (he obviously wasn’t listening when I said guinea pig) he died in my arms last night. I’m beyond heart broken he was so sweet and kind and I really wish Petco was more honest with me about the condition he was in so that I could of gotten him the help he truly needed and we could of had more time together. Don’t make the mistake I did
Petco was a decent experience. Took my dog to get bathed and there was a mix up with her vaccination info, that got resolved quickly and other than that the two sweet young ladies at the desk helped and my dog was very clean afterwards and smelled like cookies. Would return.
Not to pleased with Petco any longer I purchased a saltwater fish less than 24 hours ago, noticed it wasn’t do any good as if it was sick I woke up this morning to it DEAD, contacted Petco and they told me we won’t help me and for me to contact customer service, and they also said they’re not responsible for the saltwater but if it was a cheap freshwater then I could get help! Very unacceptable saltwater fish are not cheap at all! Thanks Petco lost another loyal customer!
I went to get my feline vaccinated and although she was grumpy they did it the first time and when coming back they didnt want to do it and said she needs to be put to sleep by a vet. So why was the other person able to do it. Shes not dangerous and they didnt want to do their job. Just a waste of money and not everyone should be vets if you can only deal with happy animals.
This is just for the grooming services. Store itself is great. Had a 1 PM appointment for my dog to get a haircut and a bath. Was standing there for about a half hour and still hadnt been seen by anyone and while I was waiting I noticed one of the groomers take a hit of his vape and blow it near a dogs face while he was trimming its nails. That is disgraceful and I will never be using them for grooming ever again.
Unprofessional when it comes to grooming. They cancel constantly and groomers quit/ get fired every day. They will have your dog there for 4+ hrs and when you come back the groomer is fired or quit. I will never EVER recommend this petco to groom your pet. PLEASE BE AWARE!
The store itself is fine but the clearance rack is always filled with things that arent on sale with no price tags. Its just annoying to go up for price checks to be told that its full priced.Edit: looks like it was moved to the front of the store and seemed to be marked accordingly now.
Quick and easy experience. Took my little lady here to get her shots. The Vet/ vet techs were kind and treated my pet with care. Although theyre only doing vaccinations/testing for parasites, the vet was kind enough to give my girl a mini check-up to let me know what to get her checked for at her next primary vet appointment (she went above and beyond for my pup! Thank you!). As for the store itself: the employees were very helpful, the store was clean and well looked after. When I was there they also had puppy training going on in a separate area of the store (which was super cute!) and grooming in the front of the store. Definitely going back in the future.
My daughter and I stopped in to browse. She wanted to add another member to our family. And we did! A new small pet hamster! They were short staffed that day but we were accommodated throughout our visit which made it very easy on our decision to finalize our purchase.
This occurred at the PETCO on East Gunhill Road, but this employee once made me aware he bounces back and forth between locations. WALE who is apparently the best groomer at Petco, lacks professional and communication skills and does not know how to handle a puppy. I advise not to bring your puppy here and to stay away from whatever Petco Wale may bounce back and forth from. The one star is for the nice females and manager who did the best to handle my situation. I had brought my puppy here when he was little for his first grooming with Petco and unfortunately Wale who is supposed to be their best groomer was not able to do much because my dog was a bit nervous with his first time at the groomers. We did get a full refund because in 2 hours of being at Petco with Wale, there was little grooming done in whichWale then advised for us to continue bathing him and trying to get him used to being groomed so that next time he would be more comfortable. Wale advised for us to bring him in regularly to him at Petco. As advised by Wale, we proceeded to continue booking appointments at Petco and a day or 2 before the appointment we would receive a call from Petco that the groomer wasnt coming in. After 2 similar occurrences with the groomer not coming in and months of trying to get an appointment at Petco since it is local to us, I brought my dog back at 8am to then find out that Wale had put a red flag and referred out our dog in which means he is not allowed to get groomed at Petco anymore. Wale had failed to mentioned this to us on the day of our dogs first grooming upon pickup. Wales lack of professional and communication skills led us to a lot of running back and forth, as well as a terrible experience. For apparently being the best, Wale did not know how to handle a 12lb, 6 month old puppy at the time. Petco needs to do a better job at communication with their clients and maybe hire a better top groomer.To clients who love their puppies and want a good first experience, spend the extra money. Go to a small business owner who would appreciate and be thankful for the opportunity and do their best. Thank you Wale for putting our dog on the referred out list knowing you did not give any effort. It puts us at ease that if we wouldve brought our dog back to you, he wouldnt have been in good hands and had another terrible experience.
Staff for the most part are nice but they usually just hide in the back i usually come here for some lizard supplies and feeder fish and i usually end up waiting 20 to 45 min just to get the feeders then about another 20 to go pay if you are in a rush dont even bother coming to this location.
I have two new, small baby red-eared sliders (1.5 inch small) and there was no turtle food or accessories available (everything sold out). I was only able to get the small Tetra Baby Shrimp which they love, bit that was the only one available. I got the last one. Please restock soon.
Waited 40 min before closing for a guinea pig just to be told that I have to come back tomorrow bec they are now closing ?? Ridiculous. One cashier who was super slow and very unhelpful. And another employee who saw that I needed help but continued to walk past me to help other customers and never came back to help me.
I love the circulation of the stores layout but the customer service needs to be improved tremendously. I never feel like Im assisted in a timely matter and often times I feel like Im bothering the staff for assistance especially at the register. The other additional staff like Vetco are always great and assertive.
I previously ordered from a Pet company online, it was a horrible experience and Fedex is a horrible delivery company. I decided it is safer to order online and pickup at the store myself even if the store is not close to my home. Petco was the first to pop up on my Google search. The store is clean, organized and the staff is great.
Grooming is horrible they kept my pom for over 5 hours and he came out looking horrible patches everywhere! I could’ve have done a better job. I also paid extra for them to brush his teeth and i can tell they did not. Never again will i use their grooming services. They claim to be professional groomers but they don’t know what they are doing.
All employees are very well manerd they and always willing to help you in all your pets needs but I wish your company had a petco by me I have to take a train and walk a little more than a mile and with a bus 3/4 of a mile I live in the huntpoint area in the Bronx and this is the closest one to me I will continue to go back to this store until your company can put one in my area but good job will keep coming back thank you and stay safe
This is a fairly new store. I came here looking for fish and fish supplies for my aquarium and I was very impressed by the variety they sell here. Unfortunately I was disappointed that the only person available to help me knew absolutely nothing about fish, and was unable to find what I wanted.. So I cant give the store 5 stars.On the bright side my wife was delighted about finding the perfect doggie outfits for our Chihuahua and the great deal she got on them.
It a very nice place to find Cat Grass, cat toys and a variety of healthy food options for you cat/s. All kinds of bedding and litter boxes can be found here as well. If youre a dog person you will find a good assortment of dog food and treats and bedding. They also have an obedience training clinic/classes where one of the staff will help give you pointers on trying to get your dog to sit and stay. Theres fish and other small animals. Tanks and accessories and they can refer you to some good veterinarians.The only thing about this location is the parking issue. Because theres a Target store downstairs in the lower level and other stores and restaurants there is a shortage of parking space to put your car but other than that it is a nice little mall in the heart of Throggs Neck.Check out the Applebees next door to Petco. They have great and moderately budgeted menu with great dining options to check out.
This place is the absolute worst!!! They never pick up the phone! They always run out of crickets! One time I asked for crickets. The manager himself told me they were out. A girl at the register whispered to me.. wait. She went into the back and got them for me because she knows Im a good customer who spends about $600 a month there! Then one time a called the store, while I was in the store, to see why no one was picking up the phone. There was 3 employees standing there talking, and joking around while the phone rang!! This store is in DESPERATE need of a new manager!!
They, had, nothing! It was like looking for toilet paper in the beginning of the pandemic. I went for lizard supplies to set up a biome and all I could get was moss. Dont waste your time. They are a large space for no good reason. You are better off visiting Whole fish in the Bronx. Small but they had everything you need.
We were greeted at the door by the same person who checked us out. I noticed her take care of all costumers with same pleasantness and care that she gave us. She is a valvuable asset and not the only one i was asked more than once if i needed help. all employees said hello to my dog Coconut and he felt special too.
Im extremely disappointed at this location, I brought my puppy for a nail cut in which the website says that you can come in without an appointment. As soon as I come in right away get an attitude by the staff member Alana and tells me that shes the only one there and she has to check her appointment. So she had me sitting there for more than 20 mins, while shes chit chatting in the back office, and not once cam to advise me if it could be done extremely unprofessional. I get it shes short staff but be a bit professional and have the decency to advise the CUSTOMER whether it can be done or not. I requested to speak to a manager and basically was ignored. I will not be going back to this place and didnt appreciate the lack of professionalism.
This is some Of the worst service I ever received anywhere. 3 times the groomer called out leaving me and my dog stranded after travelling many miles and many tolls. When I demanded another Barber see us it was granted only to find out the groomer doesnt know much about cutting hair other than giving each dog the same crew cut style.
Absolutely the worst Petco I’ve encountered. Without fail, the store is a mess but worse than that is the wait time for customer service at the register. 2nd time in one week I waited several minutes for a cashier. Today...I left without purchasing. As convenient as this location may be during my workday- I will never give this store my business again.
Each time Im here Im in and out. I usually do a pickup order and dont spend more than 5 minutes in the store. The employees are helpful and can always answer my questions. The place has a lot of parking for cars but not for bikes. But there are a few random poles that you can technically lock your bike on.
Omg, so let me just point out a few of the many great things at this location. The customer service here ROCKS!!! EVERY MEMBER goes out their way to assist the best they can. I have 2 dogs ( golden retriever & Yorkie) and Im always coming here to just purchase and receive vet care I can order online but the experience isnt the same from what this location offers. Thanks you guys!!
Love the easy parking at this store. Staff here are friendly, knowledge, and helpful. I love the groomers here: Xena and Jasmin. They are so patient and understanding. My dog is a rescue and has anxiety issues with cages. They are so accommodating and have tailored her grooming experience by using the hand held dryer instead.
Very satisfied with this location. Initially I was hesitant to bring my cat in to get her nails trimmed because of how new the location is. But within 5 minutes we were checked in, my cat was brought to the back, then quickly returned to the waiting area with shorter (less painful for me) nails! The professionalism made me confident that they know what theyre doing and the interest they show in the pets made me feel comfortable!! I will be recommending this location!!
This Store is huge....pretty much like every other Petco Ive been to, this one has lots of pets for adoption. Not always though, but sometimes. For the most part Ive seen lots of cats ready to be adopted, they also had some very cute babies corn snakes. On one occasion I ran into a lady that was giving her pet guinea pig away right at their door! But thats another of its assets even though not ideal for the store...I visit them to buy small rats for my California King Snake Sally...she is so SPECIAL!! but as anyone that owns one knows they cant eat very big prey but they are greedy (at least Sally is). Their small rats sometimes look like big mice! Thats a no no cause they dont give me a discount for it and my snake will definitely want another one which pains my pocket. I also get crickets and super worms for my two adult bearded dragons, the down side? They are 35 cents more expensive than the other stores. They do have a discount card, but it hasnt made a difference in my final bill. The store is clean, spacious, and their staff is friendly and conscious about animal safety and abuse. They also offer training for dogs on premises and grooming!
Service is very slow. I tend to get ignored by staff when I’m trying to buy fish and they take too long to come around to help me, even after I ask. I’m guessing it’s just a situation of being understaffed since I only ever see one guy in the fish section, but he still takes way too long. As I’m writing this he attended to someone else even after I asked ten minutes ago. Can’t recommend this place (for fish at least).
Okay but they never restock their items. I returned to the store on multiple occasions to buy WholeHearted products (their own products) and the staff always tell me its in the back and to come back when its restocked. Its a disaster and always cluttered with boxes that need to be open and stocked. Its a waste of time. Dont bother to go, everything is always in boxes and never on the shelves.
Either pet owners need to he more vigilant in picking up after thier pets or Petco needs nore staff to clean up after the bad pet parents because a section in the back smelled like dog poo. Besides that the staff was nice and it has a nice selection of doggy products.
LOOK FOR MATTHEW M.My previous cat has passed away a bit ago so I recently got a new cat. I wanted to make sure that I could take care of her as much as could and feed her a healthy and balanced diet. He had so much patience with me specially with my million questions. I left the store with confident that I would be doing the best for my lil kitten, Ember. All thanks to the vast knowledge of Matthew M. He answered all my questions, helped me pick out healthy food for her, and helped me understand more about the diet of my cat. The best Petco experience Ive ever had!!! I know Ill be going to this one from now on!
This place can be a hit or miss. There are staff here that are great and others that have that I do not want to be here look on their faces. The first time I went I was helped by someone great on the floor when I was looking for my supplies, but at the register the guy was just throwing things around, barely spoke to me, and just did not care to do anything. Its the closet Petco to me so I continue to go, but some visits have been a bit frustrating.
The line was long and there was very little staff there to assist the customers. I have not been on the store in over a year. The staff in the grooming salon was very disrespectful as they cussed at me when I complained about the length of time they took fir grooming, and the increase in the price fir what I was quoted when I dropped my pet off.
This specific location for Petco is very clean and organized. I came here with my dog on his birthday to buy him a new present. He quickly found a toy he loved. Theres a great variety of food and toys for pets. There was a little bit of organization going on, but it was kept in an area so it wasnt in the way of shoppers. Associates were nice, but to Archers dismay, he was not offered a free treat at checkout. Id still recommend this store for general purpose quick shopping. I cannot speak on grooming or training.
Very unfriendly male groomer did my dog dirty,, my puppy came back looking absolutely ridiculous and traumatized,, not my usual experience at petco,,, this location isnt a good place to take your pet for grooming services,,, I spent six hours here ,and my pup wasnt even groomed properly ,,,,deserve a refund smdh,,,
Times like these I wish 0 stars were possible. My local Petland closed down with many others. I havent found much of a replacement since. Ive gotten a pricey option from target at the other end of the lot before but they inconsistently carry guinea pig food. So today I walked over to Petco and the cheapest option says something about Pal rewards or something like that. Sounds like a small registration process involved so I grab the next best bet. I ask the cashier to check the price of the first one. I say I dont have the Pal rewards and shes confused as if Im senseless to wanna pay more for another option than register for this rewards system. I didnt and still dont plan to be a customer to Petco. Eventually this cashier wants to evaluate why I wouldnt want to sign up for it. She has no hint of a smile apparent. I made it clear Im set with this. Then she says Im not gonna tell you Im gonna fight you but in the attitude like it was her way of saying she wants to fight me. I mean serious face like I kicked her dog, posture like shes taking this as a personal loss. My response was and why would you say that? as she proceeded to start yelling at her fellow cashier for receipt paper, which eventually she savagely helped herself to in the rudest way. Yeah Im settled not coming back here. This is on top of the several observations of neglect this store was covered in.
To begin the store always lacks help. Most of the employees are very young and at times lack enthusiasm about their employment. Dont like your job, move on. Its all i have to say. I dont thinks this is an underperforming store but the manager should reconsider the help.
I used to go to this Petco all the time. At first, I loved this store. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. As time went on, it seemed as though the store became shorter and shorter staffed. Getting crickets was at least a 20 minute event because you could not locate anyone to get them for you. About two months ago, I went to look at cat food. I pulled out a bag from the lower shelf and a mouse fell on my feet. I figured the mouse probably escaped from a tank and wasnt a cleanliness issue. I reported the mouse to the cashier and just got a shrug in response. While ringing up my stuff, he noticed one container of fish food was already opened. He just kept ringing up my stuff like nothing was wrong. I asked him if I should go and get a new container. His response was I mean yeah if you want any fish food. Later that week, a family member had bought a frilled lizard from this store. The frilled lizard was falling ill and we were told by an employee at another store that if we brought it in, then they would have to take it and take care of it. We waited in the store for an hour before they would look at the lizard. At this point, the lizard had died. The lizard was moving around in the box while in the store, but at some point during the wait had snapped its own neck. I have since moved, but I would never go back to this store again.
This is a fantastic store!!! The dog Trainers there are amazing!!! Especially, Mariana!! Shes trained my Biewer Yorkie since she was 4 months old and its made a huge difference!!The dog groomers are also wonderful!! Especially Andrew.... hes a master at his craft. Xena is also a wonderful groomer!!I love Petco in general but this store is the best!!
I just walked out of this store because I couldn’t get one person to help me find an article. I went two times to the cashier asked for help. He told me somebody should be on the floor. I walked the whole store back and forth three Times I didn’t find anybody. I went back towards the cashier , on the way I find this girl that works there. I asked for help and she blew me off and told me she’s going outside.Everyone in the store was unhelpful and I polite.
Where is the staff? I came in and could not find anyone to assist me. I needed help and had to track down a cashier to get me help. When I got assistance, the guy wasnt very helpful and seemed like he didnt want to help. Then when I get to the register, the cashier didnt take my rewards card info and ring me up with out it. I asked him about my rewards and he told me to call the number and they will put my points on my account. Seriously??? These people are not well trained and not friendly. Im not shopping here again!
Yesterday was the second time i go to this petco to buy freshwater fish for my daughter and the second day they were all dead and i know what im doing since i have a 75 gallons fish tank and a 30 gallons and the 75 gallons I bought does fishes at a regular pet store and they been there for more then 3 years they even had baby wish is hard since they it was a red pirate cichlid & a green texas cichlid but the 30 gallons is small fish like guppy’s Molly but i when and bought 4 gold dust Molly they died yesterday was 3 balloons molly and today they died so far i had bad bad experience at this petco won’t ever go back...
Worst grooming place ever. They are so unprofessional and dont call back to confirm any appointments. Called so many times and all I keep hearing was we call everyone back at the end of the day. Hmmmm waited 4 days and never got a call back. When I called again I was told my appointment was given to someone else and their were no spots for my dog. Worst place ever. Wasted my time. Be more professional next time.
When I go pick up my order is wasnt ready. I had received the message that it was ready for pick up the night before. I get to the store i had to wait for them get get the order ready. When I get my dog food the bag had wholes like a mice had ripped it apart. Very disappointed
Normally its nice sometimes I get this gentleman named Jason whos not friendly or anything like that hes just to me is kind of rude and Im into the customer service cuz I run a business so its strange but I do love coming to Petco think they need more staff though on him for more questions
If youre a dog owner you will enjoy this place. However I own a cat, so there wasnt much in terms of variety. In addition, the selections were very scattered i.e. dog food and supplies alongside cat food and supplies (vice versa).Last but not least, there are only 3-4 registers, so EXPECT TO WAIT.Been here twice. Just on the long lines alone, am never coming here again.
Went there 3 times looking for wax worms fpr my leopard geckos over the last two weeks.everytime I went there I was told they are coming in tomorrowWent there today May 31st at 130pm.Asked and older man working there if the wax worms came in.He said go ask the girl in the front ! Went and asked the girl in the front and she asked the guy working at the next cash register.He said she has to check the freezerway in the back.At this point the girl vanishes and is in a rpom in the front.Then she comes back and gos back on cash register. All 3 ignored me and after 15 minutes I left still not knowing if the wax worms came in.I will never go back there again.
The saltwater fish selection is pretty good here, they carry a fair amount of fresh water supplies too, the workers are pretty nice there and not to mention the parking here is FREE which makes it more convenient to shop, so all in all this location is top 5 in the NYC boros.
Not sure if service is slow because they are understaffed or because the same person at the register is also the person assigned to help you. Either way, plan on being here forever even if you are only going to pick up one item. It has been this way since it first opened and shows no sign of improvement.
Took my Pomeranian for her first hair cut. The host that greets you at the groomers desk named Felipe was so great! Assisted me with even retrieving my dogs vaccines from another location. He knew exactly what I wanted for my dog. Jasmine gave my dog the hair cut and she took control of my dog when she was getting out of hand, very professional and gentle. The end result was fantastic and I was absolutely happy with the outcome I even screamed! Definitely recommend the grooming there! They earned new customers!!!
I came to petco for the very first time and Andrew was great!!! he treated my dog with so much love & care I dont think i would ever go to anyone elseI came again for a ear cleaning and teeth brushing and xena was so nice to use. Love her energy. Andrew and xena are the best. They definitely made us feel a great experience

2022-03-17I love this location and have been coming here for years. Most of the employees are knowledgeable and pleasant. But I have never been so disgusted by someones attitude as this person Michelle. An employee needed help and she came as if it was the biggest bother, even though I had seen her doing NOTHING for 20 min while I was there. She came to the register to do something that took 10 seconds, then announced she was leaving for the day. When she walked away, I heard that she had been there for about 3 hours that day and this was her regular habit because shes a salary worker. I tried to ask a quick question about pet services and she immediately brushed me off and told me to find someone, even though everyone else was busy ACTUALLY working. I asked some friends if they had met her, and they all had bad experiences. It was kind of funny that in a short time, Ive heard so many bad stories. Im surprised Petco would continue to employee this person, let alone ruin a great location

2022-05-22This Petco is clean Plus safety it was crowded but not people on top of each other the safety distant rule was in check. This Petco had a wide range of products for all types of animals, dogs, cats, lizards, turtles and fishes. There are many products of an assortment of merchandise for whatever type of pet one has. This Petco is a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was professional and friendly. They helped me with answering my many questions.

2022-06-13Horrible and rude staff and manager !Went a week ago to shop for some aquarium supplies staff wasnt helpful and told me I should shop at another location because that location sucked I managed to grab some gravel and left. (Slim Pickens).I wasnt able to purchase any fish due to all tanks were under observation and again staff said they would never purchase from that store .I went to another location and it was night/ day experience from the staff and I was able to purchase all my needs.Yesterday returned to this location because I purchased too much and I wanted to return a single item I ran into the manager. When I told him the reason from my visit he said thats a you problem not me problem you have to return to the location of purchase which is not close to home and about to close soon. he said they had to assist me because thats their problem and said bye.I rushed across town made it to my location and was walking away because it was like 2 mins from closing its then the girl who helped me saw me and asked how she can help and I told her and she helped me and also said I could have went to any location but she was happy I selected her location Im now a solid supporter for the mount Vernon location and will never return to this one !!!

2022-04-04Good variety of dog and cat food so was able to pick up everything I needed. I like the selection of dog toys. The checkout line took about 15-20 mins because customers kept asking the girls at the register questions, not many people on the floor.

2022-03-20Better management is required. Staff is too young, understaffed, and not supervised. You could wait 15, wondering if someone would assist you. Theres a lady maybe a supervisor. I think her name is Desiree, has the worse attitude. You would ask her for assistance and she wont even look at you. Really bad costumer service.

2022-04-27The groomers at Petco are very friendly and really do a good job grooming the dogs. My dog is white and when he comes out from there, he looks so clean, white and smells good. I would recommend Petco to my family and friends.

2022-04-21Service was okay, but i waited 45 mins to be seen or even communicate with. Then when i went in i was told i was almost 1 hr late they were still able to help me and my dog came out looking great still rub me the wrong way.

2022-06-23NOT A HUGE SELECTION AND THEIR PRICES FOR REPTILES ARE RIDICULOUS. I RATHER SHOP AT MOM AND POP ANIMAL STORES! AND THERE INSECTS TO FEED REPTILES ARE ALWAYS DEAD AND ROTTEN!
