Not so well maintained. a lot of garbage laying around. as a child i loved the park, but it has not been kept up.
Great neighborhood park. There are picnic tables, benches, a lake with ducks and turtles (seasonal). Awesome playground for the kids. A great place to meet and greet your neighbors.

Great park the kids love it but I cant stand all the geese poop everywhere literally everywhere you step the water is polluted and just disgusting looking and smells horrible they really need someone from the town to start taking care of that would be a great Park we just cant get over all the geese poop and the smell

What can I say about Peterkin Park? This beautiful hidden gem on Oak Street in (I believe) Amityville is off the main drags & you could miss it in your daily rushing around. BUT, this isnt a BIG park, but it certainly makes up for that in its family friendly, beautiful settings. Its perfect for sitting & relaxing, while the kids go play on the playground Or taking a relaxing walk, just sitting & catching up with friends face-to-face for a change, or just relaxing in your car while on your lunch break or at one of the many tables available. A really nice place.

Peterkin park in Amityville is by far the most disgusting ill maintained park I have ever bought my children to. Garbage strewn around all the time. Parents blazing up holding their kids. Always shady characters but the nail in the coffin was the used condom my son touched in the gazebo. Shame it has potential to be a nice place but town does not care aparently.
Very peaceful and enjoyable. Guess plenty of things to do for the kids and space for adults to enjoy some peace.

It has been a while since I have gone to a park but had to make a detour due to a closed sidewalk. It was actually pretty nice and calming.

Peterkin park is a good place for you and someone to hang put but the only thing that is bad is BC it have a lake but its a nice place to hang out!!! 👍
Someone needs to flush that water out n get more it doesnt even move. Still water. Smh. I dont even want the kids playing near it

Always coveres with litter and there are no bathrooms here so make sure you go before you leave the house.

Small but nice park to take your kids to have a fun time, you can actually take something and eat it with your family, while enjoying the view it offers, my baby loved it, because the playground is covered by sea sand, which makes it special for kids.

Wow surprise as a maintenance worker treated a young woman just because she had left her bag on the sitting area and she had just gone to walk around I yelled at her and she just kept quiet she did not defend herself 8/26/2020

2020-03-05Nice and peaceful park. Great pond with ducks and geese, beautiful walkway takes you all around the pond where you see chess tables and plenty of benches to relax. Sand around the playground, plenty of swings the kids loved it.
