Always clean, SUPER organized, wide variety to choose from. Helpful, upbeat staff that knows their inventory, & always willing to look up items that I might not be finding. A pleasure to go to for all my cats special needs!

During Memorial Day weekend, to pamper my dog while we were away, I booked a day spa to be done while he was at the hotel. At checked in, I made sure to tell the girl that he had an apt for a bath and haircut; she told me, yes, I see it, and told me no to worry, they will be taking care of everything, so I left. On my way back to NY from Maryland, I called the hotel at about 2 pm to remind them again that my dog had an apt and that I will be picking it up at about 7pm. They assured me they would be taking care of everything and that the groomer was taking my dog. Therefore he will be ready for pick up when I get in.I get there; to find out that my dog was never groomed. I was so upset and disappointed so I asked for a supervisor. The grooming supervisor was very unprofessional, didnt take the time to hear what I have to say, and was highly defensive; she keeps blaming everyone and states it wasnt their fault because the hotel never told them that my dog was there. The hotel stated it wasnt their fault because grooming should have come to pick my dog up. So whos fault is it then? Isnt the same people, system, and store? They fell a customer due to their lack of communication and then wash their hands and blamed it on the customer. Very poor customer service. I will not go back there.
I made a grooming appointment for my dog and was running 15 min late. I called and spoke to dan (groomer) and Jen (manager) would not accommodate me AT ALL. I own multiple businesses and my staff would never treat my customers like that. i will never go back to petsmart. I ended up finding a great Mom and Pop groomer and they took me last minute.
The staff at petsmart hotel are rude. They say our puppy is aggressive when she is not and does not feed her Monday when it was her last day last week. Also they say they do not give us the food back and they did. We also did not get 12 dollars off her stay. I recommend never bring your pet there…
I picked up my dog from boarding to find her caked in old feces and covered in her own urine, and wet with diarrhea.Spoke with the AL and asked to have SL call me back because we were so upset. No one ever reached out and nothing was done to rectify this situation.-Mackenzie Burke with Daisy
They have a decent website, except it seems to give conflicting information sometimes. All in all, it was a fairly pleasant experience. If not for the website, I would have given them 5 stars, as their staff is excellent.
Made an appointment for my pup to get her nails trimmed , paw hair trimmed and inside ear hair trimmed . $30.00 I was quoted.Job was done by the shampoo girl (red flag and shouldn’t have been allowed!) because the other groomers were busy.Sat outside the window and watched.She brought my pup out who was very upset and whimpering!And I was told we can’t trim her ear hair. Because that’s considered a full groom. Really?Nails were not trimmed but they only used a drimmel on them. Total waste.It was a poor experience! Will never go back.
I commend the staff at PetSmart in Huntington Station. My order was acknowledged and completed quickly. The gentleman who brought the order out to the car was helpful and polite and we didnt wait long to pick up our order. Overall a very good experience and I will be using this option again the next time we need food and litter.
The in-store experience is fine but the website will claim things are in stock when theyre not. I ordered an aquarium canopy and light for curbside pickup because my old one died and I needed a new one but didnt want to go inside because of COVID-19 - I placed my order at around 5pm on a Saturday and it wasnt processed by the time the store closed. Then early the next day I get an email saying that one item (the light) was cancelled from my order because it was out of stock even though I only ordered it because the website had it listed as in stock, I would have chosen a different one or even just gone to a different store the previous evening instead of waiting overnight, but they filled the other half of my order so I had to go in and get it and ended up choosing a different light than the one I had wanted at the store. It defeated the whole point of having ordered online for me to have to go into the store anyway to select a new light. I wish they would have a better handle on whats in stock and whats not.
Order before you go and always proce check to compare with their online prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are open late. They have enough to chose from. They do not have every brand of food so again look before you go. I definitely recommend the store if you ore order and price check.
Lauren was great. First time I had my pet stayed here. Hopping for a great relationship. The place looked clean, I am sure my pet will tell me all about his stay there.
The associates are so knowledgeable and helpful. Daycare allows my boy to get out extra energy. He loves to do boot camps as well. Bella is a knowledgeable trainer and really thinks outside of the box to find solutions.
Sam is the worlds best groomer! My mini-dachshund, Shelby, loves her.

Every time my local store runs out of food for my dog, this store ALWAYS has it. Additionally, I pulled in at exactly 7 (store closing hours), and they still serviced my needs. As of today, this became my go-to store as the young men working there were very friendly and supportive. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.
I would have given this a higher rating but my experience wasnt a great one. I was in the area and had a 15% coupon. I asked the cashier if it was applicable. He didnt even read it and just said its only for online purchase. I later realized when I looked at the coupon again when I got home that it was valid. The coupon was for treats appreciation day and can be used for in store AND online.
Love bringing my dog here, very good place for your furry kid to socialize. Petsmart is one of the few places I trust to leave my dogs, either overnight or at camp. They screen the dogs for personality so no one is aggressive and they always check their medical records so all vaccines are up to date. There is absolutely no way the dogs can escape, so I know they are safe. I had in the past left my dogs at a home-type over night care when I was away, only to find out they escaped. Thank God they came back but thats too scary for me. I like that I know my furbabies are always safe at PetSmart!!! Plus the staff is really loving and they know my dogs by name, even when we dont come for a while. I totally trust them.
Easy to navigate layout. Lots of show and tell animals that interest even teens. Prices have been creeping up, but still a good value when you buy in bulk. Beats shopping at Costco only because you arent stuck buying a variety pack that includes a flavor your pet doesnt like. Occasional pretty adoption events and actually where I got my 2 kittens from a few years ago.
Who doesnt love going to a pet store!? This PetSmart had a wonderful selection of parakeets and other small birds, hamsters, mini hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, adoptable cats/kittens, iguanas, snakes and other reptiles and plenty of very healthy looking fish to choose from in clean, well maintained tanks! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful; we plan to visit this location again very soon!

John is a awesome coworker. He greeted me by name, waited for me to arrive at petsmart to give me the carpet cleaning. I originally went to home depot but they had a time limit to rent the carpet cleaner, so I called petsmart 30 minutes before closing. John waited for me and was so kind about assisting me with the carpet cleaner. Sweet Potato my dog appreciates him too!😁
This place has a Good selection, decent prices, and there is a pet shelter in the middle of the store!! You can look at birds, cats, fish, food, litter, boxes, let furniture, I believe they have an emergency service, pet sitting, and people are allowed to bring digs inside. There is a sign up sheet for cats, even on a clipboard when volunteer staff have gone home for the day.I have seen dog adoptions, but not all that often. The hours are good, and I had at least two people ask if we needed help. Oh, I forget the toys! There are strings, nice, squeeky things, grooming tools, holiday outfit, I think dogs,try getting a cat into one of those sweaters!! And, of course, bathrooms. For humans. It is close to my house, other shops, and Whitman mall -- in case you want to drop by after a visit to Bloomingdales..cafe or store. I like the cute signs and sale flyers. Birds chirping, fish swimming, cats, sleeping, near glass, kids screaming, but not big you go at 8 or 9 PM during the week. I recommend getting on their loyalty program, for points and sale prices, not sure if it covers other things. I am trying to get to two hundred words, but, it is difficult from a cell phone.My friend has a petit schnauzer and she loves this store. She can bring him in with her, go through the aisles and find what they need without worrying about him in a too hot, or too cold car. She dressed him up last All Hallows Eve in a Pilgrim outfit, we laughed a lot at the photos.
The Huntington PetSmart is a wonderful place. The staff rarely changes. It is a happy place staffed by real, knowledgeable pet lovers. Our dog Jamie goes there for Doggie Day Care, overnight stays in the PetHotel and for grooming. He loves it there. He even knows the route when we drive there and goes straight to the hotel himself. The staff love him and all the dogs and it shows. He even has a girl friend, Bailey, and they are so adorable together that the staff shows us pictures of them spooning. Its adorable. As soon as he arrives hes greeted by his name. I feel so comfortable and confident with them. They really take great care of my Jamie.
They have a good selection of cat foods. Only place locally that sells Nulo cat food but they charge more for the can food in the store than on their website. In order to get that price you have to load it on your phone. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The managers just need to chage that unfair pricing policy.
Bought 3 fish yesterday around 3 in afternoon. Woke up this morming. All 3 fish dead. They do not treat the pets they have properly. Miss cared. Miss fed. Miss treated.
This morning I am returning a bag of dog food infested with worms. This is not the first time this has been a problem. Over the last 30 yrs we have had three dogs, each one lived a good long life. Prior to our current dog all dog food was purchased at the local supermarket. Since we have had our current dog we have purchased almost all his food from PetSmart. During the last three years we experienced several occasions when we had moths. Each time the source was traced back to bag of dog food where we discovered it was infested with worms. We check each bag upon opening, and all appears ok. Within two weeks we see a few moths, immediately check the bag, and there are the worms. We thoroughly clean our cabinets after each episode and have even used bleach when cleaning. On a trial we bought a bag from the supermarket and no issues. The very first bag we buy again from PetSmart and in less then two weeks we have an issue again. NEVER buying food from PetSmart again. Ever.
My fur baby and I had the most pleasant shopping experience. The staff was so helpful and went over the top to be friendly. They offered treats to my dog as we shopped and were so nice.

The staff is really unhelpful in the aquatics department. I waited about 20 minutes waiting for someone to help me but no one ever came. The tanks are always Guaranteed to have dead fish (I understand it happenes) but you have like 25 tanks. Ive been to places where theyve had 200+ with no dead fish. Leaving dead fish in the tank is just lazy.
Terrible staff. This location is staffed by a group of young 20 somethings who cant be bothered to even concentrate on ringing up customers. I have gone into this store on numerous occasions, and every time over the past year, I have seen the staff constantly on their phone while there is a long line, talking loudly to other employees and ignoring the customers in line, etc. I get it, you probably dont like your job, and are trying to make it bearable, but please dont do so at the expense of customers who have better things to do than sit in line and listen to your conversations.
The cashier with the long hair and tattoos is pure delight. He is very friendly and makes the customers feel like we are friends. Kudos

Our dog was attacked by another dog on his first day. Our dog is a friendly dog who just sat down on a floor mat when a female dog came over and viciously attacked him biting his face and narrowly missing his eye. The staff did take appropriate action AFTER this attack and took him for medical treatment. But this is not what you expect when you leave an animal with anyone. I can no longer recommend this business to anyone.
Worst Customer Service! We brought our 2 dogs for boarding since the nearest petsmart from our house was fully booked at that time, and we were greeted by an old woman (Debra) who has a big attitude problem. She acted as if our time is of no importance to her and that we owe her a huge favor by bringing our dogs there. I am no longer surprised why that branch doesnt easily fill up unlike the other branch. The worst part is, when we got our dogs back, both dogs looked like they werent fed properly nor were they given water. For the amount of money that i paid, the last thing I want to see is my dogs acting like they werent treated properly, aside from a foul attitude coming from somebody who have no inter-personal skills.
Ok so one of my dogs came home sick. I feel that there has to be something that hotel could do to help that this doesn happen again.They did take care of my dogs vet and meds visit so on that note I am pleased. You have the staff please keep dogs safe from other dogs health issues..
In the last month Ive had two birds come from the store. 1 bird had a wind amputated due to a quote-unquote bacterial infection and had died within that week. Bought another bird from them again within a month the bird was sick and passed away. I dont know if it just happens to be this store that does not know how to take care of their Birds however I also bought an identical bird from the PetSmart on Conklin Avenue by the Stew Leonards and that bird is perfectly healthy. I would have avoid this Huntington location like the plague
I had called two days in advance for an appointment with the grooming department and when I arrived with my small dog, they told me that I was not in their system. It was only for a bath and they would not except my dog anyway. The girl with the tattoos could not help me and the blonde girl was rude; they do not really put much effort into helping their customers. Disappointed and frustrated. Will probably not go there anymore.
Brought in a stray kitten with an eye infection. We did not have the money to have her fully checked out, but they were understanding and respectful about this, werent pushy, and helped as much as they could. They even gave us instructions on how to use medication we bought online. I would definitely recommend them!
I would like to give zero. The style is a nightmare. My dog to be very ugly after grooming. Will never go back again!

Went to buy royal canin intense beauty cat food (moist) . Havent restocked in months . They are remodeling the store and it actually smelled worse than I have ever experienced . The smell of wet dirty animal permeated through out the entire store, never has it ever been this bad. Stopped carrying pitrpats cat treats about a year ago. This chain store is going downhill fast
I have a yorkie that needed grooming. Got an appointment immediately...that should have been a clue....brought a photo of how I wanted his hair cut. Apparently no one saw the photo or no one really cared, and proceeded to shave the dog down to less that half an inch. Not only did the shave him down, it isnt even an even cut. The dog was not matted and his coat was in good condition, proof being the little report they sent him home with. Never will I return. The groomer was either very inexperienced or did not care.
Always has what we need! Love that they price match their own website and the store manager makes you feel like family when you come in. We love bringing in our Corgi for a trip with us!
Got the dogs ears clean afterwards they told me how to keep it clean gave me the medicine told me exactly how to do it and after that went and got her nails done that was very good also my little girl had a day out
This place buys from SunPet, a terrible place for animals. Although I usually don’t agree with PETA on many things, the video about PetSmart and SunPet was so disturbing. They do surgeries on animals by people who aren’t well trained and the animals aren’t properly anesthetized so they feel most of it. A video was leaked of a surgery on a rabbit where they used Clorox wipes to clean the wound. They let the cats roam around, terrorizing the small animals. Many animals cages aren’t cleaned, so they get infections like wet tail and others. Please, please don’t buy from here. At least buy from Petco. But, if possible, but from a local pet store like Selmers. It’s animals are well taken care for and put in large enclosures with plenty of room and have friendly staff. Or, buy from a local breeder or adoption center. Please don’t go here.
Poorly organized and theyre sometimes out of stock on stuff. Staff is friendly and helpful though - so thats a plus. I do give the employees high marks.
This place is the best. I have the pickiest cat in the world. I buy cat food, she will not eat it, I have to exchange it. Repeat, repeat and repeat again. They are super good about it. Thanks Petsmart!
After my dog had surgery, i had to get him a round blow up surgical collar, so he could get thru my doggie door. My dog generally doesnt like other dogs, so i am careful... I did not know how to put it on, with the straps etc., so i went back in and asked the mgr,steve , if someone could please come out, and help me put it on my dog. Not only did he not let anyone help me, he was also rude, and obnoxious. They have an enclosed area, that they use for training, which nobody was in. I asked him if i could bring my dog in there, so he can show me how to put it on, and said no, and just wanted to get rid of me! STAY AWAY!!

Tried to return something without the receipt, policy says they can take said item and they refused. Also called in advance and asked specifically if I could return it and the clerk told me yes while in the store the manager told me no. Terrible shopping experience and will not be returning. The people who helped me were incredibly rude.
After arriving at Petsmart to get my dog from being groomed, she was not ready when I arrived. I was told to please wait a few minutes as they were just finishing up in the back! Within 3 minutes of being there i noticed 2 employees giggling in the corner ... A female employee took out the razor and proceeded to groom the the employees head!!! No joke... She used the dog grooming shaver to cut this employees hair! Took out the vacumme and cleaned it up! Right infrint of my eyes! I called to report this to the manager who was telling me I was crazy to think her employees would do this! They without a dought have serious issues behind the sceene and willnever take my dog back there again!!!

Took my boxer Duke there 4 weeks ago and now have a flea problem, I noticed when i.picked him up there was bugs on the glass Windows inside the hotel. I thought nothing Ive it, a week later at works flea was on my arm aznd jumped off. I checked my dog and there they were. On his butt by his tail. Ive been dealing with this now for weeks , 2nd round of Orkin and still saw one today! DO NOT bring your pet to a Hotel if it has fleas. What a terrible experience, I usually go to the one in Farmingdale which is spotless. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO HUNTINGTON Pet smart Hotel!!!!
NEVER GROOM YOUR PET AT PETSMART!!!!! Huntington.....Some time ago I had my dog groomed at Petsmart. When I went to pick her up, I noticed the groomers whispering to each other in the back. I actually heard one of them ask another, should we tell him? There were other customers around and I never put together what they could have been referring to at that time.When I got to my car my dog refused to jump in as she always did so I lifted her in. When we got home I realized that she was in great pain. I went directly back to the store and confronted the groomers who denied anything had happened. I went to management and they back up their groomers and took no responsibility. After several vet visits, xrays, and $700 in bills, I was told she had sustained an injury to her hip most likely cause by a severe twisting or fall, and there was only a small chance that a $3000 surgery (which I was advised not to do) would help her at all. She now lives in pain every day thanks to PetSmart.I understand that accidents can happen, but I dont think their groomers are very experienced. For all I know my dogs groomer was working the cash register the day before. The worst part of it, aside from the pain my dog now suffers, is that PetSmart denied everything and did nothing to help in any way, nor did they even show any compassion at all. Shame on you PetSmart!!I repeat, NEVER have you pet groomed of for that matter do ANY business at all with PetSmart........

I was very pleased to be able to place an order online with PetSmart and pick it up at this store location . The staff had my item ready for me upon arrival. I have to say i was very impressed with how smooth the whole transaction went.
Total rip off. Gave a Quote for our dogs stay and then charged over $100 more. Some charges unexplained even after many discussions on the phone asking why or how this could happen.
Great place to shop but there coupons expired too fast and they don’t give you enough especially when you spend a lot of money but the store is a wonderful place to shop everyone’s very nice and helpful

Usually I have a good experience when I go to that PerSmart. But lately the staff is not customer friendly or professional. And there is never a proper member of management to helpWith any complaints. Do use their hotel either their is a staff member that is very rude and disrespectful which makes me Leary on how my pet was treated.

2022-04-25Very clean store with a lot of selection, and a friendly staff. They are very knowledgeable, & always willing to help you find a product or answer a question. They literally have everything in there also! From animals, to every product imaginable for them, you can find it here! They even groom our dogs! Located right by the mall, which is a bonus!

2022-03-21Just wanted to give a shout out to a really great employee at this location-might be a manager. I believe I heard an employee call this person Alex? But again I am not sure, anyway whoever was working the register/stocking the floor this past Sunday around noon was lighting up the store with positive energy! They gave me a real JVN vibe (and I mean that as a very high compliment) When another employee on register was stuck with an issue-they said “ok let’s switch!” And went over to rectify the register situation. As a person with previous retail management experience I can say, this quick action kept the lines moving seamlessly-customers don’t realize how fast this could have gone south and added an extra 10 minutes to their wait on line if it hadn’t been for this person. So kudos to this staff, keep up the great work and I hope the mall hurries the hell up with their crazy construction.

2022-03-16Worst grooming experience. Not totally the groomers fault. Face and ears not exactly the way I expected. Called to speak to manager of grooming parlor. She refused to fix the problem or even speak to me. I have been using this parlor for my last 3 -4 dogsHavent complained. This time the dog just wasnt done well. Paid $90 and did not feel it was done well . For a manager not to address an issue of a customer is inexcusable.

2021-08-24First time back since covid hit.The store is much cleaner than before! The fishtanks are well maintained with very good water quality and healthy fishes.Pre covid I would not purchase any fish there. Was cloudy water with sick fishes and infected fishes. Just poorly maintained.Covid somehow made this PetSmart into a better one.Before you check out, make sure to use your phone and load PetSmart.com and check online prices on your items. All their online prices are cheaper than in store listed. Show them the online price and they will reduce it to match website price.

2022-01-09Terrible grooming experience. I brought my dog in for a nail trim. When I came to pick her up the girl informed me that she had cut the quick during the trim. I looked and she actually cut the quick on 2 of my dogs paws. A nail trim is pretty straightforward and I was shocked that she had done this on not 1 but 2 separate paws?!My poor pup was whimpering and the girl let me know I could purchase a product that stops quick bleeding if the bleeding continued. So not only did they hurt my dog, now I have to purchase something to fix what they did? Youd think theyd provide this to me complimentary considering theyre at fault.Horrible service. Will never return.

2019-03-27Best petsmart ever! Staff is so friendly they all know my Bambi by name and greet her with treats and rubs. A lot of the time I just walk around the store when its nasty outside to get her out of the house and they still treat us with the same respect. They are knowledgable about the items they have and will answer your questions. I got my bearded dragon and tank from there and they helped answer all my questions about lighting and everything. I also know people who use their pet play area dog sitting services and only say great things about that as well. The groomers have clipped bambis nails and did a great job also. Thanks petsmart for always making us and bambi feel welcome!
