Im satisfied with banfield. As far as the store it always has one register open, a long line. Plus I paid for my puppy to do obedient class and the lady who ran the class was supposed to send the pictures of the dogs graduating and every time I see her in the store she gives me the run around about wifi not working..two different numbers i dont think so, I think shes. Full of it.
Theres a young lady with brown hair that works in the fish department and she was extremely knowledgeable with fish. She was honest, told me which fish she would recommend and wouldn’t. She told me which fish don’t go together. I appreciated that so much. Wish I remembered her name. On a different note there was another women working there who wasn’t so knowledgeable and wasn’t so friendly. I think it’s the same person everyone else is complaining about in the reviews.
Although I like the Pet smart location in Levittown, I am not happy with the groomers. I took my golden there three times. The first visit was for a bath so he could get use to the place, I was told he fell of the table. I brought him to a different groomer the next time for a bath & trim. I asked them to trim him but not to feather him since it was his first haircut. He came back all chopped up, I assumed it was because I asked them not to feather his fur. I brought him a third time for a bath & trim. I was called and told to head down he is almost done. When I went to pick him up the bill was higher, they were not going to say anything at first, then they said we charged you an extra 8 dollars because he was stubborn and we could not get him to the stations without help. A different groomer brought him out to us. She took the leash off and let him loose in the waiting area with an attitude. She placed her hand out for the tip. The door to the store was not fully shut, we had to shut the door and chase him around the waiting area to get a leash on him. He was shaved short like a lab, no feathering, all chopped up, they cut off his feathers and even cut one of his eyebrows. His stomach was shaved like for surgery. I usually don’t complain, but I called up to speak to the manager. I got the assistant and she asked if I would like a discount for the next visit. I told her I would not be back, and I was really upset that they let my dog loose in the facilities in addition to not getting what I asked for. She told me they had to be on leash at all times and this was a safety issue. I wound up speaking with the manager the next day. She was aware of the situation and saw it all on surveillance video. The manager was upset and offered to fully refund the grooming. I would not recommend bringing your dog here; they are not properly taken care of.
The employees at PetSmart are rude the woman that helped me with the fish was rude and the woman on the register answering the phones are rude every time I asked her two questions she her answer was to me and two other people I dont feel comfortable giving you that information meanwhile its just ask her a simple question about pets I will not go there any longer and why is it they only get fishing on Thursday and every single one of them is a little baby I bought six fish and within 12 hours two. Of them died
Always friendly staff and super helpful. I gave it 4 stars because I find it doesn’t have all the things that some of the other PetSmart has (I’m thinking specifically about the one in Levittown that has everything!!)But I find the prices to be reasonable and I always get cute clothing for my dog at super affordable prices. Sometimes I just go to browse because it’s such a pleasant experience ☺️
I was having a bad experience from another location a manager named Christi was very professional,friendly and understanding about my situation and told me about this location so I decided to give it a try.... OMG my baby looks sooo good after his 1st haircut and the young lady Melissa was so nice and informative about the style I was looking for. The location was clean, friendly, prompt with timing and also fully stocked with my babies favorites things.I can not thank Christi and Melissa enough Levi and Louie will always visit this location no matter how far the drive is I could not ask for a day turnout.Thank you
I’m very dissatisfied I took my dog for grooming nail trim and bath I also asked if he could be trimmed around the face. I helped the lady put the small leash on him she asked if he was friendly which he normally is and I left him there fine no bark or cry from my dog 5 mins go by and I get a call to pick him up because he tried to bite her and denied him service. Mind you my dog it’s 6 years old has been professionally puppy trained and he gets groomed 3x a year. I Wouldn’t recommend or trust this place.
The staff werent helpful unfortunately and they acted as if asking them questions were a bother the young man and female I saw in the middle of the store were to busy talking to want to help me and when I asked they just told me to go to another location which I did for nothing as they didnt have what I was looking for and then when I was going back down the isle for a few other things the young lady and the guy went down another isle to continue their conversations while there was an extremely long line and the young lady at the register was doing great alone and she was quite helpful eventually someone else came out the back to help her
Lots of great stuff for my dog! The grooming department does a great job and they really care about how your pet reacts to being clipped. If my dog gets nervous they will stop and try not to stress him out any further. All of the employees that work here are very nice, helpful and caring. Great place!
Meh, its an OK place to go. The associate helping me with the fish had a little attitude and quizzed me on fish for tank. Wasnt necessary. Also all the fish she gave me died in a week. All 10 of my guppies. Also had to wait forever for an associate to help (the last 2 times I went in) in the fish section as clearly there was no one there. I wont be buying fish here anymore.
Im really always so happy with the customer service I receive at Petsmart! Price matching is a big deciding factor on shopping at Petsmart, but the employees and their kindness and willingness to help is really what keeps me coming back. Im 35 weeks pregnant and asked the associate at the register if I could leave the bag of dog food and pull up the car to take. I also had my 3 year old son with me. She said no problem, and when I pulled up the car and was about to grab the food, here the associate comes walking out with the food over her shoulder. Her thoughtfulness blew me away. It might seem like a simple gesture, but it meant the world to me!
If I could give this store a zero I definitely would!!! Takes 16 or more hours for a same day pick up order to be ready, which is definitely not same day... and when you question why... you are given the run around on the phone being passed around on the phone and when you finally speak to someone, it’s excuses, excuses, excuses. There’s no excuse for poor customer service!!! I’ve used this store repeatedly without issues for same day pickups in the past, maybe new employees or management but I will never use this service again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND NO ONE ELSE DOES EITHER!!! Poor customer service!!!!!!!! I’m sticking with chewy or amazon! Sorry petsmart in Levittown, you just lost another customer!!!
I didnt find a variety of chewables for my robo hamster. I was also looking for flakes for my bettas but they didnt have what I was looking for 😞. I always loved the way PetSmart managed their locations but I dont know what is going recently but their stores are not so outstanding as they were.
Always a pleasure.Purina Pro Plan canned food for cats may be limited. An employee told me that they obtain most of the meat in their product from restaurants and, because of Covid, they cant produce as much.I switched to Hills Science Diet and there were plenty of choices available.
Very nice people. One of the cans of cat food that I ordered was messed up because you couldnt open it the tab broke off. When we went back to the store to replenish our kitties food, they were very nice about exchanging it and were willing to apply a 5% discount because we ordered the food at PetSmart and then we went to pick it up instead of just going to the store without ordering it online. ordering online and then picking up the food is much easier and they give you the extra 5% off. I think thats an excellent deal.
Having two dogs that need prescription dog food, I crazily” spend upwards of $300 a month at this store. Today I was asked to leave because I was following CDC guidelines and orders from our governor that, if we are vaccinated, we are free to shop and gather without masks... I choose to be in this study and got vaccinated to help future generations... to be treated so harshly by the girl at the register was terrible and humiliating... my business now goes to Petco where there is NO DISCRIMINATION..
Love the Levittown PetSmart. Store is always clean and well lit. Whichever products i am shopping for are always in stock. Store associates are extremely helpful, friendly and are a pleasure to deal with. This is the store i shop at whenever i need something for my 2 dogs.
Pretty clean store. Its a pretty big pet store. It has grooming for the dogs in it. Parking is good because its in a shopping center. There wasnt a whole lot of variety to choose from as far as actually buying a pet is concerned though. Just had a few birds and a chinchilla and a mouse and a couple of snakes and lizards and a few fish to choose from.
I brought my dog to the banfield and one of the vets tried telling me that dogs in the Wild eat by product which is NOT true at all... I did not like her at all. But the price was what brought me there in the beginning. Full blood work up was 350 max when my vet wanted 500
I bought a bunch of fish from them, brought them home and when I added them to my tank I had one die in the first two hours, then have had 3 more die. I have had my water tested and there is no issues. I believe either the fish were sick or they were old. Will not be going back for anything live there.
The store has good prices, big selection and friendly staff. I took one star off because In Store Pick Up is terrible. You have to wait online to get someone to fetch (see what I did there?) your order. If there is a long line you might as well the items off the shelf yourself.
They have varieties for all pet needs.But the list price on the shelves are marked up as much as 50% compared to their online prices.So check their own online price before taking it off the shelf. Their online price ia comparable to the prices of other general stores.
They did okay. I did watch them drag my dog by its leash past another dog that was being groomed. Not a good idea. I saw my life flash before my eyes as I watched an episode of Judge Judy unfold. My dog will sometimes bite so totally not smart to allow dogs that close to one another. However, they did the grooming great. As for my other dog...grooming was not as good (left too much on the face)...but overall, I am satisfied.
Terrible and unorganized. After making an appointment on line and receiving a confirmation, they would not honor the appointment because they wrote down the wrong breed. They didnt even have my dogs information in the computer after I gave them all of her records during our last appointment. Go elsewhere!
Smaller selection of animals now. I let my son watch the dogs being groomed and we saw a dog fall off the grooming table. The dog unfortunately was hanging by its collar and was being choked. Took two workers to eventually pick up the dog. Thank God that wasnt my dog. Who knows how I wouldve reacted let alone how my son wouldve reacted too.
Having been using Keith in the grooming dept for 5 years. He is excellent! Everyone in that dept is nice, friendly and has taken in my second dog on the fly when needed w no appt. I have used Pet Smarts puppy classes......not great due to the area where they hold the classes. Music plays throughout the store and the ceilings are bare...echo echo echo. Price is right though $119 for 6 weeks. Good for socialization. I also like that a nice nail salon is next door to Pet Smart so while one dog is being groomed I can be groomed as well. :)
Great one stop shop for my terrier mix. Since we visited with our rescue dog, the staff has been very friendly and knowledgeable about all related things with our dog. We signed him up for a begginer training class and at first we were nervous because hes about a year and a half old so we were not sure how he would handle being around other dogs that were mostly puppies. There was an incident on the first day where there was a large Labrador puppy that hated our dog but the trainer was responsive and made sure to keep our pup safe from him. We are not sure what our dog did but every time this dog saw ours it would bark like crazy. Our dog has been great with people but has issues with other dogs so we needed help. Our trainer Daneille was very friendly and helpful trying to give us some training tips even answered all our questions specifically his barking and skiddish personality around other dogs. I have considered other places to train our dog but this was most convenient for us. Im very happy with the training he received and ultimately it is up to us to continue his training but I had good experiences every time. This has helped socialize our dog too which he desperately needs.On another occasion, we found out our dog had somehow got tapeworms and it freightned us because he had giardia previously and just recovered from it. If you dont know what Giardia is, its common in shelter dogs and treatable but you have to be careful not to have your dog come in contact with children and no dog licking. Anyways, Giardia sucks and now that he had tapeworms we had to take him to a vet so we took him to the brooksdale hospital in the petsmart. The staff had us setup with a vet and they were able to test that morning. It was positive so the vet we had was very knowledgable and explained everything to us. He put my mind at ease as we were shook up our pup had another issue in the first month we had him. Do beware, the staff does promote their wellness programs it is NOT pet insurance . However we signed up our dog for the wellness program in the lowest tier. It basically allows you to get vaccines,fecal tests,etc that you would otherwise get at a regular veterinarian. There are higher tiers that include teeth cleaning - anastethia where its an all day thing - and more advanced exams for older pets but we did the basic for now which I believe is 30 a month. The benefit is you can bring your pet AMYTIME and as many times as you want with no charge. Any medications they prescribe are discounted as well. I cant speak the value of this wellness program yet but its peace of mind for me and no contract. Again its not a substitute for pet insurance which can be expensive but we will decide in time if we want to shelll out that money. If you do have a pet emergency after hours they refer you to a animal hospital in Plainview.Overall, we buy most our pet food and supplies here in addition to using their training programs and the banfield vet services. I want to use their grooming services too although I heard on abother Google review perviously they had a bad experience where thier dogs cornea was scratched. That is unsettling but Im sure that is not a pattern at this place. I did use a grooming service in plainedge and thought they did a nice job but I want to try petsmart to see if they are better just to weigh my options.Hope this long winded review is helpful and good luck :)

2022-02-25Nothing personal I have been a customer for years at this location and I have seen for the past few years even before the pandemic was to blame that the shelves are always bare lines could be all the way to the back of the store and only one cashier working! I have never even be more upset that when I went to buy my dogs food blue buffalo senior LID turkey and sweet potato and him not being a small dog needed a large bag but all was on the shelf was 4lb bags at 4 times the price if I bought the equivalent to the large bag I buy! I tried to talk with the manager on duty to order me a bag and i would even pay for it in full just have it ordered for me! He could have even offered to sell me the 4 lb bags at the same cost ration of the large bag! The only thing he said to me is I am sorry but I can’t do anything to help you and was rushing me out the door! I even said I guess I will take my business elsewhere and all he said was I don’t know what you want me to say with a attitude! I actually wasn’t asking for much just a little assistance and he said we are short staffed and what do I want him to do when he can’t! He even berated his cashier whom was new there because I asked a simple question of if I could order the food! I was calm & wasn’t even angry at him or raised my voice just an annoyed at the lack of service at this location! This isn’t customer service or how your treat your employees! BTW I will also be posting this to google reviews for others to see so they can hopefully wake this company up to the lack of support & training from this company from employees here!

2022-05-16Ill start this off by saying the girl who was on the step ladder in the fish area helped my boyfriend and I out by leading us in the right direction to get what we needed. We left satisfied in the aspect that we got what we went in for, but the cashier is what destroyed our experience.We waited on a long line (I know places are understaffed but when you have one cashier, a line of people, and employees hanging around doing nothing, its a little obnoxious) and by the time we got called up, we could tell we werent wanted. The female cashier had a Wendys bag sitting right where our items were supposed to go, and a Wendys cup that she kept drinking out of. She wasnt pleasant to deal with, and she asked if we wanted to sign up for the store card, and then sighed when we said yes, almost like it was such a problem for her (so why bother asking?!). She rung us up, throwing us an attitude, and made us wonder why we spent our money at this store.Overall, we were satisfied with the items in stock but you really need a new cashier. I worked almost 8 years in retail and my job never would have allowed Wendys sitting around because it made it obvious thats what she wanted, not ringing up her customers.

2022-05-18I walked in there thinking I wouldnt fine the help I needed as a new pet owner BUT I spoke to Lauren and thank goodness she was great!!!! So helpful and informative so glad that she was there to help, felt bad that I took more of her time than needed ( she was to clock out 30 mins prior to me) hopefully she didnt get in trouble. None the less she made my experience MUCH BETTER, thanks Lauren, p.s. hope you have a speedy recovery 😉 see you soon!

2022-06-16I just came in to find a softer dry food for my 14 year old cat and some vitamins. I was greated right away and then approached by an employee (bald man with facial hair) who was very helpful, he showed me some great choices and advised we go and speak to someone who was supposed to be a wonderful cat expert what a joke she was a blonde haired woman with glasses who I assume was a manager but maybe not she was extremely rude insisting I take my cat to the vet and when I explained I could not do that she rudely kept on insisting thats what was needed. I will not visit this store again. Kudos to the bald guy but the blonde with glasses needs to go, very poor customer service on her part. Ill go to Petco in the future.

2022-02-02Dog food was in stock where other stores sometimes dont have it in stock. Line to pay moved quickly as there were 3 cashiers. Cashier was courteous and took the time to indicate we had a credit that we could apply to the dog food.

2022-02-08While I try to shop at smaller mom and pop pet shops, they are becoming harder to find. That being said, sometimes the deals at the big chains are tough to pass up and they do have their place in the world.I have had positive experiences at PetSmart in the past, but this last visit I wound up putting items back on the shelf and walking out without making a purchase. It was a weekend day and they had one register open. The line for the register ran most of the way through the store. Standing on line for a half hour with young kids wasnt going to be pleasant for anyone. Also, when an employee finally came to help customers in the aquarium section, it was painfully obvious he wasnt very familiar/experienced with tropical aquariums.I know its tough to find and keep employees these days since many people would rather stay home and get free money, so Im assuming the store is short on employees. As I said, PetSmart has been good before. Ill be back soon and hopefully can upgrade the 3/5 stars.

2022-02-02The store is great but I think they have moth issue. I keep having moths in my house and now I think they laid their eggs. I ended up going to petsmart for something and say moths near the dog food bags.

2022-03-17The manager was too lazy to have some one ring me up for my purchases. She said they don’t open until 9 am but the front doors were wide open so I walked in thinking the store was open. My mistake I guess but she could have had someone at the register ring me up for my purchases at least or do it herself. Guess that was too much work. I come to expect this behavior in Levittown NY. I try to shop locally elsewhere just to totally avoid this area.
