Early this morning I received a call from JoAnn. We settled the matter. She refunded me for the three cases I did not receive and apologized for charging me for the entire amount. She said they were going to send the remainder when it came into the store. Unfortunately I was not informed of this. I am happy that your response came quickly this morning instead of me calling you. This is the way to keep a customer. Thank you.I ordered ten cases of cat food: Natural Balance Land and Sea Catsserole. They are $18.88 a case. I just received the order I placed online and FedEx brought me 7 cases. I was charged for 10 out of my bank. If they didnt have the 10, they should have only charged me for the amount I received and let me know they do not have 10. This was the first time I ordered from Pet Warehouse and am not happy with this. Also two of the cases had the case opened. One was opened via a sharp item and the other had a broken area at the end so one could see what was in the case. I filed a dispute at my bank and they will investigate this.
I do not recommend ordering online. I had placed my order June 21st and was told I would not be charged until it shipped, I was charged two days later. I still have not received any confirmation that it has been shipped. I have emailed them and sent them two messages through their website in the past week, I have gotten nothing back. I called this store and was told quickly that I have to call another phone number to inquire about online orders. I have now called this number given to me twice, only for it to ring for two minutes then the call failed both times. I only give two stars because they are the only place I was able to find that sells a replacement top for my bearded dragons tank.
Do not waste your time placing orders on their web site. It has been a month I placed and order for nest box. Got one confirmation email. Then a week later another e-mail saying my order was delayed for few days. Then nothing. Again do not waste your time placing order, as you will never get it.
Guys... save yourself. Go somewhere else. Seriously.I placed an online order on Dec. 18, 2017. My card was charged on Dec. 21st and the items arrived on Dec. 27th. Upon arrival only 1/3rd of my items were correct, 1/3rd of the items were out of stock, and the remaining 1/3rd of the items were not as pictured on the website or the invoice. I contacted the company immediately through their website and got the most condescending response that was not helpful in the least. My refund was not issued until OVER TEN DAYS after my order was charged and shipped. When it finally was refunded, all the items that were not received were not refunded. I contacted them again and they checked their records just to find that they had incorrect records and needed me to send them a picture of my invoice which stated that it would be refunded. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE CORRECT RECORDS OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SHIPPED TO ME. What kind of company is this? While communicating with them further they refused to say that their items were misrepresented online when the picture they have ONLINE AND ON THE INVOICE do not match the item received. Can someone please explain to me how having an inaccurate picture of the item described is correct? Anyone? No? Didnt think so. I would have never ordered these items had an accurate photo been on the website. Also, when you check out you are charged shipping based on weight and size. Well... 1/3 of my items werent in stock so they obviously werent shipped which would mean my shipping should have been reduced... Do you think I saw a refund for that? Nope. The company wanted me to pay for return shipping and even have a 20% restocking policy because It is because I didnt like the item. No... IT IS NOT THE ITEM PICTURED ON YOUR WEBSITE! It has nothing to do with liking it or not, its an inaccurate item. Their staff is so unprofessional and rude, not to mention disorganized. (They literally had to ask me to send them pictures of my invoice because their records are so bad). Save your time and just contact your Credit Card company to resolve issues instead. Dishonest and irrational.*Have pictures of what was received, what was pictured on the website, what was pictured on my invoice and all the emails / communication between the Pets Warehouse and myself.As you can see from their replies on bad reviews they are very defensive, lack integrity and do not value their customers.Go toreseller ratings for more horror stories from this company. Clearly something needs to change.
Usually get feline specialty foods there , not in stock this trip , but in transit . The in-house vet , Banfield , great to work with also . They take excellent care of my exotic feline , always willing to get me an answer to things they arent sure of , also . Highly recommend this location .
Placed an order for a simple power transformer for a light a week ago. Havent received anything. Order has been in processing for a week. No one is returning emails or picking up the phone. Bad way to do business and blaming it on the pandemic after a year is not a valid excuse.
I ordered a hamster cage for my daughter on 4/9. I created an on-line account and verified my address was correct. Petswarehouse delivered to the wrong address in the wrong state and has not refunded my money or shipped a new cage. They have not responded to any of my emails except stating that the product was delivered. They also have no customer service number for internet purchases. Very unhappy as this was my 1st time trying to buy something from them.
Buyers beware. Terrible company. Deceptive and shady. They overcharge on everything. It took months to get stuff they had in stock and they refused to refund our order even though it hadn’t shipped. Then when the order got here it was missing the one thing we emphasized that we wanted and needed. The website is terrible, ambiguous and fails to fully inform buyers. Horrible people running this shameful excuse for a company. Reported to the Better Business Bureau.
I recently visited the Pets Warehouse location in Lindenhurst and was very impressed! The store had a wide variety of products and was very well organized. I will definitely be back!! The parking out front is a little tricky, but there are plenty of parking spots behind the store.
Stopped in Pets Warehouse today and I couldn’t write a review quick enough! I couldn’t find a fish tank I was looking for anywhere and they had it. The staff helped me out right away when I came in looking lost. I was in and out which was great because I had so many things to do today! I highly recommend this location.
First and foremost, I cannot BELIEVE the level of unprofessional guest service from this company. Being from Long Island, I know many people that have always said not to shop here and now I understand why.I had ordered 2 dog bowls on May 29th to be shipped to Florida. There was a disclaimer on the site stating that due to Covid-19, orders may take a little longer to process than usual which is perfectly understandable. When I placed my order, I was told a hold would be put on my account that I was paying from and that I would be fully charged when my product shipped. I was fully charged for the order on June 2, and I did not receive my product until June 20th. When the box arrived, I had only 1 dog bowl and a stamp on the invoice stating that I would be issued a credit for the product not received. I did not receive one. The invoice was also dated on June 3rd. I called the Lindenhurst store, which was listed on the invoice, spoke with a gentleman named Joe who was apologetic and told me I needed to call a different number and speak with Danielle about my order. When I spoke to Danielle and explained the situation, she seemed like she couldn’t care less and said I was issued a credit but she didn’t know when, maybe it was this past Friday or maybe Saturday but it’ll take a few days for me to see it In my account. My issue- I ordered a pair of dog bowls. If this invoice was printed in June 3rd, why was I never contacted regarding them not having my complete order? My phone number and email were correct on the invoice but why was I not contacted? Her excuse was because of COVID-19. I know the world is a little crazy right now but that excuse is unacceptable. When this package was packed, I should have been contacted that there was an issue with the order- would have been a 5 minute phone call or even an email and I would cancelled my order because I wanted matching bowls.Danielle proceeded to tell me that I could return the other bowl and be credited but I have no trust in this company or her. (She can’t even tell me the exact date I was supposably credited for the missing merchandise) She also told me that when I placed an order in the future, in which I said I would not order for them again, her response “well, I guess the problem is solved so what’s the issue?” I am completely floored by this response. This tells me that this company does not care about their customers and are just eager to take your money. I have been in guest services for 20 years and this is an employee that obviously doesn’t care for what she does and doesn’t care to make the guest happy or just to make the situation correct. Like I said, I know the world is a little crazy at the moment, but all of this could have been avoided with a quick 5 minute phone call or an email that would have taken 2 minutes to write. Granted my entire order was about $25 and I’m expecting a credit for about $9 but this isn’t about the money, it’s the principle and obviously this company, with Danielle representing them, couldn’t care less.
Ordered off there website a few days later got an email that said my order was severely back ordered wouldn’t ship out for 15+ days well I couldn’t wait my teacup chihuahuas I was picking up in a week and needed the high calorie vitamins. The lady I got them from gave me some.
They were much better before. Seems like their stock on fish and fish supplies have dropped. The staff has changed and not the most welcoming when you go in or even have questions. I used to go in weekly now I go in maybe every other month and thats only cause I need something in an emergency. I travel an extra 10 miles to go other stores now.
Love these guys!!! Very knowledgeable and willing to help a novice fish guy like myself!! One of the guys even gave up the only orange crayfish for my daughter and I (he had it on hold to purchase himself)! Forget the big chain no knowledge stores.... this is your one stop shop fish and supply store!!!
Long story short, DON’T USE THEIR ONLINE SERVICE.Updated with a screenshot of an email from their “service” team suggesting I “can’t read too well”... 😂...Still waiting for my four year old’s Christmas gift, 10 days after Christmas. It’s not the lateness that’s the biggest problem though - it’s the unhelpful, inconsiderate service.I called before Christmas to see if I could pick up the aquarium (a few hours drive from me) instead of waiting for delivery, but never managed to get through to anybody who could help. I eventually called a store who told me only the online team could help but they were unavailable. I’ve emailed the online team maybe 3 times now. The only response I got was this...“The tank is here but we can be sure it will not get damaged during shipping especially at the holiday season”I’m guessing they meant to say “can’t”. It doesn’t make much sense otherwise.I paid extra for shipping and I know most of the fragile stuff we order online gets to us intact. So I’m not really sure what the point was - maybe they were hoping to send it via some low-cost shipping option?Either way, I asked when they were planning on sending it, now that it’s outside the “holiday season”.Nothing...I followed up a week later asking again for a response.Still nothing...So they’ve been holding my son’s Christmas gift for maybe 2 weeks ago now, not sending it, but not bothering to tell me that’s what they’re doing, why they’re doing it or when they’ll finally ship it.
Horrible customer service I tried emailing them 4 different times asking when my money would go back to my card they answer the same way 4 diffrent times even after I wrote exactly what I was asking .. don’t waste your time or money here .. waited 18 days for a fish filter motor only for them to say they can’t get it well You should have told me that at least 15days ago
Great fish selection and very nice staff but many times I have gotten diseases from fish there in my fish tanks. Be cautious and look for any sort of illness of the fish there. From that they always have the food I need and have. Any other supplies for my pets there. Definitely go there!
Its a great place for one stop pet shopping, from.fish, to cats to dogs, they have food, toys, and little of everything in between. On occasion, I have found expired bags of dog treats, or treats with mold on them. They were taken off the shelves on e brought to the stores attention, but just check dates and look over anything that is open and sold individually before making your purchase. The staff is friendly and helpful
This is our go-to fish place! Rich is super knowledgeable and always helpful! Honestly, I don’t know how we could keep a salt water tank without his assistance! Invaluable!! The store is very big and stocks a vast variety of beautiful, healthy fish and corals along with a plethora of products for pets of all kinds! Thanks Pets Warehouse!
They always have great prices and a super friendly and knowledgeable staff but the last time I was there when I looked in the tropical section to see if they had anything I wanted to add and I saw the worst case of an ich out break Ive ever seen tons of dead fish in the filters and clown loach swimming vertical covered in white spots Ive never seen it in this store before hopefully it was a one time thing it happens to the best of us so thats why I only gave 3 stars otherwise it would have been 5
This place is exactly what is called PET WAREHOUSE. Great fish selection fresh and saltwater. Pet supplies for every pet.. 4stars only been to 100+ pet store this is only pet store literally charge you 5 cents a bag or else you take your fish n supplies by hand. Other than the bag fee .. this place is GREAT
This place is always busy. Incredible amount of saltwater offerings. All the living rock and polyps are in great condition. The colors and textures are most interesting. The selection is huge. Prices are great. No outdoor bird feeders. Large selection of dog food. Staff is very knowledgeable. Prices are fair. Cat section is well stocked. Cashier is always friendly.
I just have to say that this was an extremely fast turn around. I needed a 46 gallon bowed aquarian tank glass lid. It was the best price anywhere by the way. It has perfect fit. The order was submitted and immediately processed over the weekend, and made it to me a business day later. I just found the pet ware house by looking for this specific tank lid need, a fortunate find. Thanks for the great price, delivery, and product.
Awful service. Ordered a product for my fish tank. Weeks later I get a box with bird supplies in it. Someone elses order. I send it back. Weeks go by again. I inquire about my order. They tell me that postage rates have gone up since I placed my original order. They would need an additional $3.50 to send it out. Really? Seems like a SCAM to me! I voiced my concern to them and they finally cancel my order. Avoid this place like the plague!
I have been to this location for the past three Thursdays. Beyond disappointed week over week. Getting help is near impossible. The manager in the salt water section acts like its his personal tank more than it being a business. Extremely cocky. Funny, other people had told me this over and over but hadnt experienced it till recently.Today I had it and walked out after waiting almost 20min to get help. No one said hi and when I went to the register to ask for someone to help....no one to be found. The store had no one around watching anything.....not the register, not the front door...just crazy.Maybe I am spoiled with the Patchaugue store but there someone always greets you and the fish team is stellar everytime. Too bad the manager from the Copiague location doesnt allocate more of the corals to the Patchaugue store. But as he says, he likes to keep the good stuff at his store......well too bad I cant get someone to help me spend my money there.Keep it up guys and your location will be gone. Dirty stores, with rude staff and non-exsistent customer service dont last long.
Great online order! After reading negative reviews, I was nervous to order from Pets Warehouse, but they were the only one that carried a replacement piece for a hamster cage that I needed, so I took a chance and ordered anyway. I had no problem with my order. The piece, and other items added so that I would meet the $10 minimum, arrived in just under two weeks. There was no damage and everything was perfect. Im glad I ordered!
Terrible place for aquariums. Fish are dead all over the place. Parasites everywhere. I pick a piece of coral priced at $49. After I say I want it guy confess and changes the price to $125.Im probably better off. I seen a few different species of flatworm attached. Id keep clear of this place. Staff sucks. No knowledge. They change price after you pick something.Very very disappointed.
I tried to make an online order off the website, since it was available to purchase I thought all was well. My first email about it is that they have supply issues but estimate the inventory to be back in 3-10 days. I gave them much longer, with no update. So I emailed them to cancel my order and that to try to sell an item that isnt actually in stock is poor business. All I got as a reply was your order was voided a long time ago I guess you never make an error. Pretty rude, unprofessional and unneccessary. So I replied that there was no way for me to know that unless they contacted me which of course they didnt. I let them know I would let others know how rude they are and all they could say was something about 300,000 customers a year.Amazon has millions of customers and theyre the worst business out there. Numbers mean nothing, professionalism and good business is everything. Whoever emailed me is highly insecure and obviously leads a miserable life.I bet they think this will be my only backlash. Good thing I have lots of friends, their names and addresses. Good luck again! Youll need it.
The person who commented on having their fish get infected by sick fish, thats your fault for doing that. Whenever I buy fish I make sure I look at them carefully, making sure they are healthy, colorful, and active. Always quarantine new fish even if they got torn fins, spots, anything just setup a spare tank and treat it.
Online order placed 10 days ago and still hasn’t shipped. These are not rare/hard to find items by the way. I tried to cancel my order because I’d found the items elsewhere and was told I’d have to pay a 20% restocking fee because I didn’t cancel my order within 24 hours of making it. There are way better online aquarium supply stores out there that ship fast and don’t charge restocking fees. Don’t make the same mistake I did.Ok, I’m amending my previous one star review to three. I had to place a second order with the company as they were the only source for a particular product I was looking for. This time the order was promptly shipped and I must say, very well-packaged.
The store has loads of products but when looking at the bird section - birds in particular - the cages were disgusting and looked as though they had not been cleaned in weeks!!! The birds were clearly stressed and did not look healthy. Would never buy a bird here!And I get a curt, rather rude response from “the owner”. I own birds - and although I don’t own a dove, if the dove in that store wasn’t stressed, then it certainly wasn’t healthy!!! The cages that housed the various birds were disgusting and were covered with bird feces. Would go a long way if the customer service standard applied here - although the customer isn’t always right, a business would be better suited by responding in a manner that perhaps just says they will address the issue or see if there is an issue.I guess the cashier was the saving grace that day. She was sweet, professional and courteous. She was the only reason I gave the store two stars versus ZERO.Thank you, OWNER,, for recognizing that perhaps your store isn’t everything you think it is!!!
They have a lot of interesting things here. I came here to buy plants for my 10 gallon aquarium for my sorority betta tank. However, when I asked questions as this was my first time making a planted aquarium, they talked to me as if I were stupid for not knowing certain things.

Never Again. The smell here is AWFUL, like mold? I did buy cat food here, hoping it was okay. My cats would not eat it. I contacted the company who said they did not change the recipe. They said storage is important, and if any odor, the cats would pick it up. Unfortunately, by the time I got back here it was past the 21 day return date. The cashier said she would call the manager. The manager she called said he was not a manager, and there was no manager there, so being that I was past the 21 days, no store credit. Overall, horrible, smelly experience.
The shopping experience was fine. The requested product review didnt work, it told me only people who purchased can write a review Well, duh!, how do you think I got that email? Maybe it timed out (about) 10 days) but really not everyone can do their email everyday. Because I had something important to say, here it is: I actually buy this for my 3 dogs and they have the most beautiful, soft, healthy skin and coats. 2 ml twice a day in their food (50-75 lbs) produces a practically brush-less coat. The vet staff comment all the time on how healthy and great their coats are. No downside that I know of, I came to use it after comparing ingredients with a more expensive dog cot supplement. They were virtually identical. I have been using it for over a decade on many dogs.
I HAD a beautiful fish tank wish over 20 fish for over 2 years. I decided to buy four fish from Pet Warehouse and the next day one of the fish I purchase were dead. I bought it back to the store and I was told they needed a sample of the water. I had no time to supply them with a sample because the following day all of my fish were sick. I noticed the other three fish I purchased from them had white spots and fuzz on them. Sadly, every single fish that I had for over 2 years died. I am so disgusted and disappointed. Their fish contaminated my entire tank and left it diseased. I now have to throw everything out that I had in my tank because no matter how much I would like to try to clean it, Ive never seen such a fast moving disease destroy over 20 fish the way these four fish did. I dont know what diseases they carry in that store, but I will never ever buy a fish from them again!!

2022-06-25This has been my LFS for years. They always have a very wide selection of saltwater and freshwater fish, as well as anything you could possibly need for your tank. All of the workers there are very nice and extremely knowledgeable. I also shop here for food, treats, and toys for my dog and 2 cats. Their shelves are always fully stocked and prices are usually lower than anywhere else I shop. If youre in the area I definitely recommend stopping by.

2022-03-13This is my favorite pet supply store. The store is always well stocked and has the best prices on fish and dog food. They have a great selection of both salt and freshwater fish. The fish are always healthy and the tanks are clean. I frequent the store on a weekly basis and always have a good experience. The staff is very knowledgeable, informative and friendly. Highly recommended!

2020-01-05Pets Warehouse in Lindenhurst, next to Long Island Paneling is awesome!!!! The store is BRAND NEW, very CLEAN & ORGANIZED. They had a great variety for all my pets needs. The staff was super helpful and very personable. They wanted to know about my pets and took their time assisting me. Thank you Pets Warehouse in Lindenhurst- i cant wait to go back :)

2022-05-12This is the second time ordering from Petswarehouse. Both times the order for Natures Logic goes through and they send an email stating it will ship within 24-48 hours. Then both times the next day I receive an email saying it is on back order. The first time I never received a response stating Natures Logic was back in stock. They need to learn the concept of inventory. If you are out of stock the transaction should not go through like any reliable internet site does.

2020-04-11Needed some plants for my tank and couldn’t find the ones I wanted anywhere locally. I had never heard of PetsWarehouse before. The shelter-in-place order has limited my movements and forced me to make mostly online orders for my fish tank needs. I have an LED blue light for my tank and wanted some artificial plants that would appear to “glow” when the lights were on. They were reasonably priced and the ordering process was easy. My only issue is that I needed some Paraguard as well and it was half the price on Amazon so I asked for a price match. They asked for the link as if they would verify the price but came back with a response that they were notifying Amazon about the highly rated seller’s price. Wasn’t a deal breaker but was disappointed with that outcome. Shipping was quick and my items were packaged well.

2021-12-29Great selection of saltwater fish! Best Ive seen on long Island. I drive a half hour just for the fish. Prices are also excellent compared to other fish stores! Highly recommend for aquarium fresh and saltwater!
