This place is awesome, especially if you or your loved ones have food allergies. We came here with our toddler who has severe food allergies, and all the staff are so friendly and attentive. The chef came out to talk with us and make sure he understood what foods my son is allergic to so he could make all the food safe for him, and he even cooked a dish from scratch in a different way just to make it safe. Our server Darwin went out of his way to talk with our son and was so friendly, and made it a point to wash his hands before getting our dishes just to avoid any cross contamination. We havent been to this place in years because of the pandemic and we missed it so much!!! Their pho broth is just so good, and the people are all so welcoming and friendly. Its really hard trusting a restaurant when weve had some mishaps with other places, but this place put us right at ease and they were just so awesome! Plus their food is delicious! We will definitely be back.
I have been coming to pho metro for a few years and I love it! Great good and affordable. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. The place is nice and clean. The food is great and cooked pretty quickly! I have had almost everything off the menu and have loved it all. The portions are great and always leave me full! This place is a gem and I’m happy to live so close to it !
5 stars all around. The food is authentic and tasty. The service is superb, fast, and kid and group friendly. The ambiance is clean and comfortable. And bonus points for always playing the best music! We love this place and make it a point to stop here for a meal when we are nearby.
My husband and I decided to try a different pho place. I was craving pork summer rolls. The summer rolls here is probably one of the best. The pho I got was very good. The broth tasted like real bone broth and not the powdered. I tried the papaya salad and it was sweeter than Id prefer. Im more used to the loas or Thai papaya salad, so this was a different taste but my husband said it was good. The wings were on point. They were just the right amount of flavor and crispiness. The rice and pork plate was really good too. Overall we were both very impressed. Id recommend this place
Awesome food and amazing service here. Had the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Dac Biet and it was just amazing. Darwin was our waiter and made the experience so much better. Sold us the special of the day and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend this restaurant if your in the area.
Pho Metro was simply delicious! The pho soup was very flavorful and the barbecued pork was amazing. It had great texture! It was also affordable which is great! I recommended this to everyone!! The staff was really friendly and the coffee was beautiful. Excellent for a rainy or cold day :)!
This is a nice little Vietnamese restaurant in Flushing/Whitestone area. My family have been coming here for lunch for their #20 and hot Viet coffee. Its so satisfying. Love the place that has the traditional Viet aroma (booth & grills), but newer/modern setting. And lastly, service over there is great.2022 update: Darwin, the friendly waiter has been there for many years, recommended us the new chicken salad, and its great and refreshing! Thanks
I expected more from this place. The food could have been alot better. The service was really good, the bathroom was clean and nice, the price was good. The food was a disappointment. I had the rice dish with pork chop and salad, and let me just say Ive had better. The people that I came with had different types of pho, and they also werent impressed.
I saw this place featured on food blogger foodbabyny - I knew I had to try it out myself. This is an amazing family owned business with great authentic Vietnamese food. The ease of parking only makes it that much better! For appetizers I HIGHLY recommend the ribs and the spring rolls - so many great flavors. They definitely do not skimp out on the meat and the portions are satisfying. For entrees we tried the Bun Bo Hue (delicious), Pho Dac Biet(delicious) and the Bun Dac Biet (delicious). Needless to say, we unanimously agreed that Pho Metro will become our go-to spot for Viet food.Lastly, for dessert we got the warm banana pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. Order it. Just do it.Enjoy!
Pho Metro was excellent... The restaurant upon entrance was inviting and warm with a slight modern twist. I found the menu to nice with a well rounded selection of foods. The menu size was perfect. My food selection was outstanding and delicious.I will go back again and cant wait to try some of the other specialties.Definitely try these wonderful Vietnamese eatery, its worth it...
Good basic, comfort food, no longer good prices to values, friendly service, off-street easy parking. Simple deco. Compared to 9 - 12 months ago, portion size now smaller and limited menu choices got even fewer items nowadays & lack of variety is a factor, higher prices combined to downgraded rating.
Great place, a friend here from California wanted authentic Vietnamese pho,..not knowing what that was I agreed, Its a hot summer day and didnt want to wander around crowded Roosevelt Ave. looking for food. this place is right off the highway with parking and good AC. ordered Vietnamese coffee, metro pho and Vietnamese shrimp roll with the peanut sauce....mmmmm!.
Wow! Our server Vinh was super friendly and we had a great conversation about the music and food. Speaking of, the food was amazing it’s very savory without being too salty and the desert is unique and delicious! Definitely try the flan and bread pudding! Would definitely come back the next time I’m in Queens!
Modern interior with classic pho taste. The spicy beef salad, absolutely delicious. The beef and pork in spicy noodle broth (#5) was perfect for the cold day. I did however wish it came with the skinny noodles I’m use to in traditional pho. My wife had the #3 and it was exactly what you want when you order beef noodle soup. She also has the shrimp summer roll, did not disappoint. Great find for this little strip mall spot.
Pho metro?!!A place where you can have a fast lunch, meal, diner o whatever you want to call itThe menu is small but enough to have a great time the pho is the speciality is good super tasty other good thing is the vegetables are fresh and you mix it with the broth but you do it even you feel that crunch of the veggiesThe noodles are simple in taste but when you mix it with you meat the flavor are goodThe service is fast but the waiters are a bit lazy dont care about the table only if you call them
My personal favorite PHO! I love Pho, and I end up comparing every Pho I eat to Pho Metro’s Pho. To date, no other pho has taken the title from Pho Metro! Staff is amazing. Very inviting, and accommodating. I became a regular when I worked in the area, and now I make it a point to come by at least once a week to get my fix.
I really like pho metro its alot better than the ones in flushing the soupis flavorful and the portions are a good size. I miss something that are in other pho restaurants like the grilled pork chop and the grilled chicken on pho. But if youre looking strictly for beef pho this place wont disappoint.
The noodles were perfectly cooked in a flavorful broth. They didnt have the usual cilantro which wouldve put the cherry on top, but tasty nonetheless. The shrimp summer rolls 🦐 were on point, enough to secure that 5th star in my book. Come for the summer rolls and have some soup noodlea.
Clean, not salty food, friendly (owner?), good service. Bbq Pork Ribs are a grilled style, and have, great flavor. (Smoky and savory with herbs). (Could be softer though) Pho was on point! (Not greasy or salty or cheap tasting). Noodles had varying thicknesses, which is a nice texture bonus. Vietnamese coffee was very good. Will be returning semi regularly for a while.
Never coming back to this place again. I ordered some pho noodle soups and also an order of spring roll. The spring roll was so hard that I couldn’t even chew so I got the waiter and they come out with one newly made spring roll only. (There are two very small spring rolls for one serving which is $7.95). I ate one roll and it was hard but I still ate it and the second roll was even harder so I had to call them over. And they gave me half of what they’re supposed to give, coming back out with one roll only like is this serious?! They made a mistake and now this is how they’re handling it. The spring rolls were too expensive and the pho noodles were so little for a $13. Never coming to this place ever again. REMEMBER TO HAVE HEADS UP IF YOU’RE GOING TO THIS PLACE.
Started going here right when it opened. Favorite pho restaurant, and also probably one of my favorite restaurants. The food is so good - pho is so flavorful. Hits the spot every time. Spring rolls are amazing as well. Thai tea or Vietnamese iced coffee is a good side drink to get. Great portion sizes. Was really scared it closed during the pandemic but it’s back! Had to go to different pho places at the time and none could compare. Very clean and pretty restaurant on the inside. Service is also fantastic - very quick and friendly!5/5 recommend! Also there’s a parking lot, way more convenient than going somewhere in Flushing.
I’m Vietnamese born in Vietnam. I compare my Pho relative to SoCal Pho in Westminster and my parents are known to make top home cooked pho. This is one of the few places I’ll go in NYC area. It’s about the broth which is among the best in the NYC area. Importantly, they’ve listened to reviewers and added more meat so the ratio is now right. Very easy to park which is a huge plus and very clean. I always order the Pho Dac Biet and a banh mi to go. I don’t order any other items.
You can’t be picky with Vietnamese food in NYC. A three star joint is very good in this regard. Their bun bo hue is not authentic. The broth is clear. There are no knuckles, blood cakes, beef shank. The beef served with the bowl seemed to be brisket. I dunno could’ve been shank but the texture was dry like a brisket cooked in plain water. Whatever it’s NYC and the bowl was tasty. NYC is an abyss for Vietnamese food 😭
Thou its a tat bit far. This by far is probably one of the better pho spots out of flushing. Im a frequent customer on Uber eat. Went here for the first time, and dang it, the service was great. I had the papaya salad along with number 20. Both were magnificent in everyway. Much cleaner atmosphere than the two pho spot in central flushing. If you have a car or have some spare time for a walk. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Also you get great bang for your buck. Amazing value. Definitely could become a neighborhood must.
Had the lemongrass beef bún vermicelli noods, then polished it off with the banana 🍞pudding with the bomb vanilla ice cream.Darwin was the man with the friendly and profesh service, as always.Take out is great here, too! Always packed tight and fresh and on time. Its that neighborhood spot you need to make it feel like a neighborhood.
Me and my family love going to this Vietnamese restaurant. Theres always optimal seating available. They offer baby seats. And its very clean, and open. The staff is super friendly especially Monica. She always waves at us and greets us with a friendly smile and make sure that we are well taken care of.
Update: the portion of the pho is slightly less than what you get at other restaurant is what I wrote 3 years ago. Its gone even more down. And the quality sucks now. Pass.I had come here in the first week of their opening. I actually didnt like it since I thought their meat was sliced to thick and I prefer thinly sliced raw beef in my Pho.(I usually try to eat at a place more than once before reviewing)I came again for Mothers day because my mom didnt want to wait 40 minutes for a Korean restaurant she liked so she chose here. And I am very pleasantly surprised. The portions of the Pho is a slightly less than what youd get in other restaurants but since I always get summer rolls, the portion was good for me. Other people (My brother) might leave not as full as theyd like.
Compared to some other Vietnamese restaurants, this place is immaculately clean. It seemed like the place was run by a relatively young group, maybe in their 20-30s? Service was more attentive, more similar to what youd find in a Western establishment; they kept constant eye contact and didnt seem distracted with everything else while talking to us. (Full disclosure, i also dont mind the impersonal, inattentive nature of other Vietnamese or Asian places but its cool to find a place that is more attentive). Food was good too though the selection is much more limited, like a fraction of a typical Vietnamese restaurant in Flushing or Elmhurst. Theres also a free parking lot outside! Would definitely come back.
Me and my wife are regulars at this place, super friendly staff, attentive, and the food is awesome. If you havent eaten here before, and are going out as a couple, Id recommend ordering two #1s and a #20 to share (Ask for chilli sauce on the side youll LOVE it). The coffee is very unique too, try if youve never had chicory coffee and like rustic, earthy flavors (Order it in advance so it has time to strain while youre enjoying your meal)
Just hit this spot to avoid the congestion in Main St. And this place did not disappoint. The Pho was great!Wife had the noodle salad with shrimp and beef and that was good too.. kid had the ribs and he scarfed them down.. prices were fair and place is nice and clean.. definitely will be back!!
This place is good for a quick meal. It was open on Christmas Day. The interior is clean and spacious. The pho broth is on the light side, so if you really like yours strong and full of flavor, then this might be too bland for you. Other than that, the service is great and theres parking.
A great place to grab pho. The staff is very nice and the food packs a lot of flavor. Personally, I like the rice noodle but their regular pho is great too. The wait time isn’t too long and the environment is well decorated and minimalist. Overall, Pho Metro is a great place to eat and hang out with friends or family!
First thing you notice is how clean the restaurant is. Then youll notice how friendly the servers are. Then you get your food, the pho soup, and taste so delicious. Only one small complaint is the portion could be a little bigger. Other than that, this is one of the best pho restaurant (over 40 in USA) I been to.
People giving this place 3 stars or less must have been at the wrong restaurant Bc this is the best pho spot in flushing I’ve been to out of the 5+ I’ve tried here. The broth is always the most flavorful out of anywhere I’ve been, the portions are just right and everything else here that we’ve tried has been delicious as well. The only thing I’d say to change is offering different size bowls of pho as that typically is the standard and allows people to get the right serving size depending on how hungry they are. But regardless, the service is always very quick, staff are genuinely kind and courteous. This is the spot to go.
Service was good - everybody is nice. But the pho doesnt hold a candle to your average Californian joint in Orange County or Bay Area pho; and I cant hate on that because its literally like this everywhere I go in NY. (A vietnamese work colleague of mine said I have to drive all the way down to D.C. to get that comparable Cali Pho taste). Ok so to provide actual criticism for my Pho Tai (rare beef slices): soup tasted too salty and less beef stock taste. And -- to my personal preference -- it didnt have slight hints of those rare spice flavors of either clove, star anise seed, cardamom, roasted/charred garlic etc (some place have that kinda taste - I like). The plate was frugal with the basil but at least they were fresh along with the bean spouts. The lime slices were dry and small. Good things were: price point and service. The Thai iced tea was legit, too. They serve it less sweet here (I like it either way - im talking about the thai tea.) Final thoughts: The place does well for itself (at near capacity around 6pm dinner time on a Saturday but always had 2 or three seats available) and the vibe is cozy enough so I recommend you at least check it out.
PARKING super convenient there’s two parking lots close by. This is where Quality meets Price perfectly. I ordered the grilled marinated BBQ ribs and it was only 8$ quiet the deal for all the food I got. The inside of the restaurants is like an escape from the suburbs. It has a city-vibe and I love the high ceilings
Amazing and authentic Vietnamese food. Unlike Ginger and Lemongrass which is thought to be the only Vietnamese place in whitestone, Pho Metro actually has reasonable prices and the people there are actually vietnamese and know everything about their cuisine. Customer service was amazing. Food was astonishing. Thank you.
I like eating all different types of food. Im alaays drawn to Asian restaurants but I dont speak any asian language which makes it hard for me to know what to order. Most of these restaurants as well have people that talk little to no English which makes things a little more complicated. This place was totally different. I was greated the moment I entered and was treated like a king. The pho that was recommended to me was absolutely out of this world. I had tried pho at another place before but was very disappointed but this place made me fall in love with it. Im most certainly will be coming back!
Found this place while lost on the expressway and went here on a whim. Ive been trying to find a good place for pho on the island for the past five years and this place is as good as it gets. They care about what they do and it shows through their food. My favorite vietnamese place in NY so far.
Flew in from Atl to LGA airport and needed something to eat around our hotel. We googled a local Pho spot and this popped up nearby. VERY pleasantly surprised!!! Quality 🍜 with great pricing but even greater customer service. Darwin was amazing!!!! Will be back pho sure😁.

2022-07-17Hidden Gem!Don’t let the surrounding area and parking lot fool you. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a very clean and modern restaurant.Great air conditioning, good music and tall ceilings made our dining experience a breeze. The servers were A+ and very attentive. 2022-07-16Been here a few times and honestly this is one of the best spots for Vietnamese food in NY in general. Always great service and the food comes out fast. Quality and taste don’t disappoint. We also do takeouts sometimes and still enjoy our food. The Thai iced tea is really good here too :) Highly recommend!!

2022-07-14Beautiful place that’s for sure, but it doesn’t make up for the quality of the pho. The broth lacks too much in good pho flavor. The amount of soup and noodles you get is not worth the price, this is def the most I’ve paid for pho expecting it to exceed the other spot in elmhurst’s expectations, but the experience was very lackluster. The host/ waiter was very nice and caring. I’ve gotten way better pho at pho bang in elmhurst, queens. Their broth is what you call pho! I’ve gone their growing up, try theirs and you won’t be disappointed.

2022-05-11Very delicious vermecilli noodle salad. They were accommodating for dietary restrictions, which is also much appreciated. Our waiter, Darwin, provided prompt service and was very attentive to drink refills, etc. Very satisfied.

2022-05-20I went here with my gf about a week ago or so, and let me tell you, we’ll worth it. The wings were crispier and tastier then Popeyes, the papaya salad was the best I ever had, the pho was great, and the best part of the whole experience was our server Darwin. Super accommodating, kind, fast, efficient and attentive. By far the best waiter I’ve ever had!

2022-03-24The best pho Ive had in Flushing! Amazing and authentic. They put way more bones in the broth than other local restaurants, making the stock super hearty. Great service from Darwin every time we come here too! Going to be my go-to from now on when Im craving pho.

2021-10-14One of the better pho places I’ve been to. Got myself a standard pho bowl and a grilled chicken dish, tasted great. Also like that their broth isn’t as oily as a lot of other places. Their viet coffee is amazing but Thai iced tea is a meh. It’s a good place to stop by if you’re in the area. Prices are also fair, restaurant is clean, and service was pleasant.

2022-02-01Meh~ weak soup attempted to cover with salty broth & less than stellar meat quantity. Overrated for Pho & charges for a bit too much extra everything, but may be others dishes are better?
