Beautiful area to relax and take a breather, atmosphere is cozy and during mid-day people traffic was low. Some of the coolest views of ships, bridges and people... plenty of seating and photo spots. Grab a snack or some lunch and enjoy it on the pier, stop by on your way to the Brooklyn Bridge... we’re glad we did!
We went to visit the place as family. One of our sons adores the boats. Apparently the ticketing service was good. There is a museum situated on the pier not so rich in facts but we were prepared for a long wait to take the tugboat. It was supposed to go at 1.30 PM. At 1.45 still nothing happend and then a short summer rain came. The boat and the crew were present on the pier they were looking and laughing like professional sailors. Although we were three families waiting in the rain, they didnt make any announcement about delay/cancellation of our trip. After 2 hours spent on the Pier 15 and completely wet, we decided to leave and ask for our money back. Did you know that in Customer Service history, just apologizing doesnt add value to your service?
Came to pier 15 for the first time for date night with the husband and had a great time! Such a nice view and they offer happy hour for margaritas and cocktails and wine. Our server, mason, was so friendly and recommended the best stuff on the menu! Thank you for making our date night so fun! Will definitely come again.
First time over here, and I love it. They have the ferry. Plenty of restaurants, hotels, entertainment. Even adult entertainment, nothing overtly explicit. Meaning, leave the kids at the hotel and enjoy a night out with the wife or friends. Beautiful scenery. Recommend for all ages 😉.
Remember coming here as a kid as a field trip. Really spoiled to live in NY with everything it has to offer. Especially with all the additions they added to this place. The mall with restaurant, and on top is a concert hall in the summer that would be amazing to see as Brooklyn bridge is right behind it!!! Don’t miss this gem!!
One of my favorite places in the seaport. They have a perfect area by the long steps to be closer to the water. A nice gate to protect us. Lots of seating space. Installed cool wood laying seats to make watching the water, boats, and sunset even more comfortable and hard to leave ! Area to eat outdoors is right here and a ping pong table for anyone to play.
It was my first time back since before Sandy. It looks amazing. I certainly miss the lounge chairs. They have these strange modern bar style seats where the lounge chairs used to be. I didnt go inside. It all looks very fancy. Not really my cup of tea anymore. I spent much of my youth here. I would ride my bike and walk here from east river park. We would go to the mall, eat at Johnny rockets and hang out in the lounge chairs. I dont see myself returning.
Nice place to relax with a view of East River bridges, downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn promenade. Two level available, both with chairs and benches. Good for lunch if you bring your own. The only problem is that horrible northern view onto the rebuilt Sea Port which looks like a high security prison, absolute disgrace.
Attended an event set up here and the space was great. There is plenty of room for stretching out on both the pier and on the end where there are a few standing tables and bench seating. There is also a nice space upstairs with chairs for lounging with a view over the river, but it gets crowded early. The view over the river to Brooklyn and up to the bridges is very nice.
Nice relatively quiet spot on the eastern edge of the financial district. Watch the ferries come and go. In the Summertime it gets pretty hot, bring your sunscreen!Right next to to the South Street Seaport Museums dock and only a 3 minute walk to the museum. Great place to learn about early Manhattan.
Hornblower 4th of July Dinner Cruise.Absolutely Great! But...Not sure why we viewed the fireworks REALLY REALLY FAR AWAY. Did I say really FAR away... That because we were on the OTHER side of the Bridge... but overall a great cruise. If you expect to get a front row fireworks cruise, look elsewhere. If your look for a great cruise, great service and fun times... This a wonderful cruise to try.
Recently came here for the first time for an event and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Not sure what the set up is generally but that day there were tables set up to tend bar outside as well as the indoor bar. It was really nice to bring your drink and sit on the steps by the water and there is a really gorgeous view of the Brooklyn bridge. Really peaceful, I think I will come back down one day this summer and sit in the sun down there. Although the South Street Seaport is still largely damaged from Hurricane Sandy there are a lot of options for dining and shopping in the area. Check out Pier 15 when you have some time to stroll and enjoy the sun.
I missed the old Seaport so mosied on over one evening while in the area to see how its been renovated. Gone are the levels and loungers where you could walk and lay outside and look at the water. Before, it was like a shopping mall on the water. Now...I dunno what it is. Its bright...colorful. Actually looks pretty from a distance. But...what else? Ill hafta go back one day and go inside and find out.
Located at next to the Seaport and the IKEA boat. Pier 15 serves drinks and bar food. Its a warm cozy place in the winter where you can sit and watch the ships pass by. There are big screen TVs. The place wasnt very busy the night I came. There isnt a bathroom inside and its quite inconvenient when hanging there.Staff is helpful and attentive, served with a smile.Drinks are nice but the place was kind of empty on the cold blustery day.Feb 4
This new and relatively unknown public space has two levels: a grassy top and a lounge bottom with a bar called Watermark Bar. Its nestled within the view of the large business buildings in the Financial District and provides an impressive view of both the Manhattan side as well as squaring off to Brooklyn Bridge Park on the other. The grass is great to sunbathe in and there are plenty of seats facing the sun to soak up a nice day when you cant make it to the beach.
This place I have mixed feelings, while the beautiful scenery is Viberate , I cant help thinking where is my beloved South Street sea port of back in the day there is no stores to get cady ,no shops , no nothing for a guy to hangout except expensive restaurants not really a place for a New Yorker more a place for tourists we are seeing this more and more where local land marks are being alter from our history ,dang is there a way to lock everything up lol lol
This place is a wasted use of space. rhe old seaport had a plethora of outdoor bars and eateries and a small shopping mall. today this is just a throw up of a modern structure with nothing inside. its. ice that the rooftop is used for concerts but thats about it. theres no reall attraction to this space.
DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU!! The guy told us if we choose this cruise well show u all over the place for an hour, no line, they stop for 20 mins near statue of liberty and do a 360 turn around it. Non of them were true!! We were barely able to take any good pic of the statue alone reason being the ship riding too fast and not doing a 360. So disappointed and sad. Complete waste of time
This place is located in the old Fulton Fish Market area run ny the Italian crime families. Full of shops and stores it also hosts free weekly events during the summer. Three is always something fun to see adds from the large antique boats docked here. You can also take a water taxi to New Jersey from here.
Pier 15 is just a few short steps south of the busy, touristy Pier 17 on the South East side of Manhattan. With two levels, lounge chairs, a restaurant, and lounging steps facing Brooklyn, Pier 15 is a great, much less crowded spot to see the Brooklyn Bridge and relax by the water.Ive lived in Manhattan for 9 years and just discovered this Pier yesterday, Im not sure if its new or not, but its lovely.

2022-04-06Loved this place! Charlie and the ENTIRE team working were great, showing us what spots would be best to take pictures from. We didnt feel rushed at all and really enjoyed our time. I would definitely recommend visiting! Especially during the week when it might be less busy.

2019-11-16It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the skyline of Brooklyn heights and the bridge. It can get quite windy but it’s always great to catch a fresh air with wave of the sea breeze that you can hear. You can just sit there and as well as get a nice pictures! You can see the boats and helicopters passing by as it’s one of the activities you can do around this area!

2018-05-05Amazing boat rides to the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, the skyline, Battery Park, and Statue of Liberty. The lines are not long and there is no security checkpoint, but please be careful the boat and throw you around on the choppy waters. So use your balance wisely. You will need it!! Also there options to sit on the top of the boat or inside. You decide!

2019-06-02This is absolutely a great spot for taking photos of New York. Also if youre a local it looks like a lot of people come out here to sunbathe theres a species grassy spots and then a lot of chairs to just sit and relax on the water. There is a nice breeze out and even though it was really hot definitely a place I could hang out for a while.

2019-05-28Great views of Brooklyn Bridge and turn round for great views of Manhattan even better at night. Cool place to eat food bought just up the hill in Fulton Street market where you can buy hot food buffet style and sold by weight at $10 a pound.
