Pier 17 in other cities:
A modern, open and clean area where you can view all three bridges simultaneously - Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges. Plenty of places to dine at, see, and photo opportunities to take and add to your memory/post on social media. When I was there, traffic appeared smooth, and it wasnt crowded.
This place is an awesome venue. The sound is great, the view is great, the food/drinks are waaaaaaay overpriced and when I went out of a menu full of options they had “only beef empanadas left” my vegetarian wife was unimpressed. The layout of the stage is great and everything feels close unless you stay to the sides to check out the East River or the skyline. Two big screens flank the stage if you decide to hang out in the back or sides. They had a ‘vip’ area to the side of the stage but it actually seemed farther away than most of the crowd, so save your money on that. They have a lot of great bands on their summer schedule, it’s definitely a spot I’d go to again!Eat at home or South Street before you come or prepare to eat beef empanadas.
The view is absolutely beautiful, my day starts here. I love looking at the water while sipping my morning coffee. The Restaurants on the peir are crowded most days, so should inquire about reservations before dining here. The perfect place to meet up for lunch/ dinner. Lots of seating, music and events on certain days..
Honestly, this was a very disappointing concert experience. I paid for the Heineken Zone tickets and could have viewed the show better through general admission. The upgrade is a complete rip off. How are you going to charge more for a limited bar and a basically useless view on the far corner of the stage. I had to watch the show on the big screen to see anything, could have watched a TV for free at home. Further, dont hype up the view if you are going to drop a curtain. On a better note the entry process is super efficient and cool with a series of escalators. Overall, dont waste your money for an over hyped over priced venue with horrible sound quality.
Wonderful views of the famous bridges nearby and the open harbor. There were a couple of beautiful sailboats docked that were awesome you look at. The building has the Momofuku restaurant inside and another business on the roof top level where the sights are best viewed. Very nice and clean public restrooms are available on the 3rd floor.
Good rooftop views of Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. But the event to get into the stage could have been better organized. Priority ticket holders should have a separate line away from general holders for entry during the NBA FINALS GAME 2 of the Celtics vs Warriors game. Also guests shouldnt be harassing other guests over an arcade game of basketball. I had a drunk disrespectful guest behind me trying to harasse me to miss my shots in a simple game of arcade basketball. Taught him a lesson by making all my shots for everytime he made a harassing comment.
Pier 17 like many other Piers in Manhattan has stunning views of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. You can see Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges as well as the borough of Brooklyn across the water. It is a very nice and relaxing environment and especially enjoyable in the summertime. The East river adds to the vibes and the various different restaurants and bars within the chase building have great meals and drinks to try. You can bring your own snacks or goodies and chill on the side of the piers or the rooftop of the chase building on their area called the lawn and watch movies. Great date/event idea with anyone and you can always have a good time here
Someone in the crowd said, “this is the dreamiest venue I’ve ever seen.” They’re not wrong. There are worse ways to pass your time than standing in the fresh air in lower Manhattan swaying to live music under the skyscrapers and gazing out at the bridges to Brooklyn. There’s plenty of drink options and the venue has tons of levels with eats and spaces if you arrive early looking to ball around. A pretty scenic place to wait in line for a show, in any case! A cozy dreamy spot made for Instagram…and made to nestle you next to great performers.
Rooftop concert venue with great acoustics and a million dollar view of downtown, Brooklyn and the iconic landmark of Brooklyn Bridge.Occupancy is a bit too high for such a small place. Its obvious during the departure where the extremely limited egress is evident. 3 stairwells for over 3k people, doesnt make sense.
Had a lovely meal at one of the restaurants except for one little detail. The property management deemed it necessary for the stone patio area 20ft away to be pressure washed ALL dinner long. It also wasnt some small quiet pressure washer, its a large, noisy, gas powered one.
I always go to pier 17 to clear my mindand have some awesome me time. Or cousins time. I try to post images of this place every on my Instagram every time I go. They never fail to come out super nice. The view at sunset and dawn are spectacular. They have a restaurant, bar and ice cream place if youre into eating by the water, or drinking by the water, or having an ice cream by the water, these are the places for you.If not, the one restaurant I love going to is Cobble & Co across the street 🥲👌They also have shops so you can window shop 😊.But its the sail ship ⛵ for me that really gives it the wow view. 👏
The renovated Pier 17 is pretty freaking great, I have to say. Views, as always, spectacular. Da Brooklyn Bridge, lower Manhattan, the East River, yes, yes, yes. The lower deck is wide open.Escalators to go up and down are convenient (except after a concert when everyone leaves at once, but whachu gonna do?)Rooftop is great great great place for outdoor concert. Especially during Covid times. Big, big fan of the new Pier 17
Oh so amazing here! I didnt know what an amazing pier this was until yesterday night, beautiful view of so much, especially my favorite Brooklyn bridge. Theres beautiful places to eat and drink with great scenery. Great atmosphere and great sight seeing. Great photo taking places. Definitely recommend.
Pier 17 is so much fun. There a few amazing restaurants and bars/lounges with a space for events and concerts on the rooftop. It has a long desk with chairs if you need to do some work on your computer with the amazing view on Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo and the Governors Island.
The venue was very nice they kept it very orderly and clean. I was was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the bathroom attendants were. They stayed on top of keeping everything very clean. Once the party started getting in full swing the only complaint I have is that the food and drink lines became very long. They need to do a better job of keeping on top of the orders. There were plenty of food stations so I dont think it was a lack of stations. I think it was more likely an inability to manage customer flow.
Amazing food but the staff seemed a bit off. Put our name on the waitlist and was told 35-40 minutes. After 50 minutes asked how long to be seated. The hostess apologized but said she had skipped us. A server at another table forgot 3 of the 4 desserts for that table, then only brought 2 out. Another server dropped drinks, almost spilling them on another table of guests. All of this happened while the place was not busy, so not sure how they would successfully operate at peak times. The food was downright amazing and well worth the wait.
Overall it was a poor experience at the winter greens. the cabin itself was decent. the negatives was you could not control your own music inside the cabin and their wasnt much of a view of the skyline it was more a view of just other peoples cabins. the worst part was the drinks, maybe I misread the menu or didnt fully understand what I was ordering, the specialty cocktails were only offered in bottle sizes which was odd but if one was enough for two drinks it appeared to be a good deal. However it was one of the worst drinks Ive ever had. my friend had ordered a different one but also in the bottle style and it was also awful. cocktails cannot be premade and bottled like this it absolutely ruined the experience.
Seems like a pretty neat place, unfortunately the Google results were way off on all the restaurants around here. Google said they were open until 4am, but at midnight, everything was already closed and had been for a few hours, so keep in mind that COVID-19 affected the hours and Google results will be off. But the view is nice and its still a neat place to wander in the middle of the night. Im sure even better during the day when everything is open.
I am not one to leave a lengthy review, but this experience was distasteful at the minimum. As a non-binary person who supports the disabled population, I was really appalled when the handicap/family bathrooms were closed. (There are people with invisible disabilities that could have needed to use this special restroom and they wouldnt have the chance to use it either.) I have been to this venue before and those bathrooms were easily accessible and readily available, so I figured finding them locked would just be fixed with a simple hey, let me ask the staff to open it for me. However, it was not that easy.I approached the security guard to let them know that I needed to access these bathrooms as I do not use gendered bathrooms. The security guard was confused and had to ring the supervisor on staff. The security guard came back to me asking if I can just pick a bathroom that fit most with my gender. I explained that I am not picking a gendered bathroom when these are accessible and that I am non-binary (how demeaning already). The security guard went back on the radio and had the supervisor on staff come to approach me directly. After explaining everything to them (for the 3rd time) the same exact thing Ive been saying all along, they FINALLY got someone from custodial to open the bathroom for me. This was so emotionally exhausting that I literally broke down in the bathroom. Like, why was this so hard?Later on after the show, I go to use the bathroom again to discover that they locked the bathroom back up. I didnt even bother trying to go through all that emotional labor again. I am so disgusted by the way I was treated. ITS 2022 PEOPLE. There didnt seem to be much compassion towards me as a guest in this venue. I hope that things change and there is some sensitivity training put in place and that people learn from this for future gender non-conforming folks to feel safe and seen in a venue like this one. The only reason I didnt give this place one star is that I had another experience here that was pleasant. Stand up for your rights folks.
Food was mediocre... Appears to be pre-cooked and warmed up (from my experiences going in winter and summer time). In winter there are closed off pods inside which youre able to reserve for 2 hrs. They were cozy and cute. The pier overall had views, and theres several other shops to visit if youre strolling.
Pier 17 is a God send in lower Manhattan. Had a hard day at work? Want to go some place and meditate by the water? Need space away from rowdy, loud, obnoxious people? Head over to south street seaport. Catch a flick, grab some Sophies food and chill by the water. It is very relaxing. Its an oasis in the City. Peace.
Some good views, but there really isn’t really anything here besides that for most people. There is the knowledge that ESPN films all of their New York stuff here like First Take, but it’s not like you can see the studios, or really any evidence that they’re they’re at all. There is also a couple of restaurants, but they’re very much on the higher end.
It was a very disappointing experience! It was my sister in laws bday and the waitress who was so detached from the situation, was the worst. Im usually a great tipper but I was very upset that she even received a tip from my brother in law! The cushions on the lounge chairs were soiled to the point I used my rag to cover it. It was finger food charged at ontray prices! The pitcher of seaport punch had to have a whole tray of ice in it.(which we had to convince the detached waitress to retrieve for us) the ambience is amazing the views of the east river and the seaport are great but other than that not worth the time or money! If it wasnt for free bourbon drinks and the company it wouldve been a total wash! So in short and just like the other reviews if you do decide to go do it for ambience and the view BUT ONLY DO IT ONCE!
2 star only for the views.Rest all was very underwhelming. Despite booking it in advance & while at the place I could see its not busy... they couldnt offer a good seating table. The food was average. And the service for what they advertise themselves was not at all at par.
Gorgeous views!!! Tasty food but the menu choices are very limited. We arrived as a group of four and waited about 5 minutes for our reserved cabin to be cleaned. This is definitely a nice concept put together for those who feel the need to still go out and properly social distance with their family/ friends. I didnt rate it 5 stars because the cabin wasnt warm- we had to eat wearing our coats.
Getting fancier after Sandy and covid its changed up a little still a little ghost townish. Gone is the warehouse they found the dead person in. Progress.. It also doesnt stink anymore from the market. It will soon turn into a fully gentrified and super expensive spot. Water views are nice. Mainly a tourist trap and a place where people walk during their break.
Hubby and I loved coming here for drinks years ago (pre Covid). Knocked off a star because of the Greens or Rooftop area. The last two times I’ve been, it’s been a scavenger hunt to find staff. Last week, it was closed during open hours without any signage or website post. Along with several other couples, we were trying to find someone to ask about it. There were people who looked like staff standing at the top of the escalator but didn’t say a word but then disappeared on the return. The time before I organized a group of friends to celebrate my friend’s bday with a champagne toast. Staff seemed more focused on preparing food close than being super responsive to requests, even though they were nice. If kind of took away from the experience always trying to find someone. The downstairs Pier used to be a vibe with Heineken but now it’s missing something…maybe music or casual cocktails that you can walk around the pier with. However plenty of seating and new, but expensive, restaurants we’ll try in the future.
I really loved this place. I went there on a rainy day and it was really really cold and windy in New York that day but still I couldn’t miss the chance to see the Halloween decorations inside the Malibu Farm. I saw some pictures of it and then I was like you know what I have to see it in person. It’s so amazing at night with the water view around it. so I went there and I made a video and post it on my fb page. It looks amazing 😍. People loved it.
Pier 17 is one of the newest piers that is surrounded by beautiful sculptures and decors. There is so much to do and amazing places to eat. The sign of peace love and harmony is so touching. Then you go by the pier where they have built a pumpkin arch for Halloween right by the water front overlooking the Brooklyn bridge. Upstairs on 4th floor they have a place called the green where there are sections of lawn which you can rent and enjoy the NYC skyline. They also have wonderful place where we brunches, called Malibu Farms which offers amazing food and drinks.
Completely inappropriate that they have some NFT ape fest event and close off all the public bathrooms. All the event staff were completely unhelpful. If the pier wants to host events, educate the people to not be rude to all the other people trying to frequent the pier.
This is a nice place to stroll on a spring time afternoon. I love the view across the water and the massive, iconic Brooklyn bridge. There were a lot of muddy holes around the walkways. I wish that could be addressed. And rerouting for construction (I think). That takes a little away from the experience.I wish it was easier to get from this area ONTO the Brooklyn Bridge, but that requires a lot of effort and we decided that was an adventure for another day... possibly from another direction.
Such a great outdoor space to relax in! Lots of fun spots to take pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge, especially at night. Many different places to eat, some are a little more pricey if theyre directly on the pier. Ive only been to Malibu Farms and had a very good experience.
Loved spending the evening at the greens roof top area with friends and family. My sister reserved the spot. Its pretty hard to reserve a spot but if you do get to, itll be worth it. Nice atmosphere, a great spot to have a bite and a drink and relax with some good company.
The best venue in NYC!Totally the best! The view, the quality of service and food, all events — everything is amazing! I had been missing the old South Seaport for years but have to admit, the place we are getting now is so much better! It’s very modern and top-notch.They have a lot of free events with this gorgeous view. I attended some great movie nights, sports classes, and block parties. Everything was perfectly organized, the personnel is always friendly and attentive. Summer concerts are awesome and I highly recommend to get VIP tickets. For a reasonable price you get the finest food and drinks, impeccable service, relaxing atmosphere and yes, this stunning view!!!
This place has breathtaking 360 degree views with many events that will calm you in this pandemic. The greens with their fine cuisine and having a mini lawn you can rent to share with friends is priceless.especially at sunset. Also rooftop movie night with a personal lawn rental space is great for a date nightBe ready for a good time you wont ever forgetPeace love and light
Loved the view, you have toons of options if you wanna grab a drink or do brunch. Lots of dinning options as well. There are available tours that you can purchase in site and also museums. Staff seem very friendly in general. Very peaceful place you can just go an relax. Whether if you wanna enjoy the Brooklyn Bridge view, the pier or the Manhattan view, this is a good place to go.
Pier 17 is a a staple in N.Y.C. I have been coming here since childhood. There is always something to see. Something to eat. This years highlight was the arch of pumkings. With a great view of Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge 🌉 Its definitely a Kodak moment.Just sitting along the Hudson River brings serenity. Its a great place to bring the family.
Took the family there to enjoy a socially distanced experience, and it did not disappoint. Burger and fries were delicious. But your honestly paying for the view and to stunt for the gram (Instagram). Inside is a great setup: heater, air purifier, blankets, faux fire place, and music. On a sunny winter day it can feel like you’re in a greenhouse so be mindful of how high the heat is on. I wish i could have managed my own music via bluetooth on the tv.Highly recommend if you are able to get a reservation!
Its so nice!!! I really recommend. You can see the e Bridge 🌉, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge... and more and more things..... the nice view of Brooklyn...The area is so clean and you can seat in different places and you can find many restaurants and bars.
Several good restaurants (Malibu Farm, Fulton, miss the Wayo), amazing views from brooklyn bridge (actually you can see the three bridges from higher) and The Greens in the rooftop is an amazing place for cocktails. I really don’t know why the Seaport is not as visited as other areas in the town. Really a hidden gem.
Worked in the seaport for 4.5 years until Sandy Nice to see the lil red tugboat Ambrose, man how many hours I spent staring at that LoL. New Seaport was my first time and didnt have much time to really check it out just did a walk thru but looks real nice! I couldnt even figure out spot I worked in they did such an overhaul. Gonna def check it out this summer.
Just saw a concert on the rooftop of Pier 17 and this has become one of my favorite venues for live music. The views of downtown NYC are breathtaking (especially after far) with the Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop to the stage.Plus, despite being a sold out show (Squeeze) we had room to breath and dance unlike many general admission shows where you’re packed in like sardines. The staff was friendly and helpful and the surrounding location has lots to do.Good drink options but would liked to have seen some snack options [maybe there were but I missed them?].All in all I highly recommend catching a show or two there. Note: I believe they are rain or shine.
In the summer it’s a magnificent venue for concerts, great bar atmosphere or simply a place to relax and catch up life with friends. In the winters it’s transformed into Winter Wonderland, great venue to ice skating. All by the Hudson River overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Pier 17 is full of history but always looking to the future as well. Love this Pier. Dejando huellas...Montserrat
JUST WENT TO WALK AROUND there wasnt a concert happening. I am hoping they reschedule Koffee! Seriously no smoking lol security was quick with it. But he was nice and just asked us to put it out🤗 The pier rooftop vibe is cool, its open to walk around. Parking is rough. There are several high end restaurants in the building below.
We were only in town for a couple days and I was showing my friend around the five boroughs and we ended up in the city late so we stopped at the peir for a drink and appetizer at ossim bar told the bartender to surprise me with a refreshing cocktail 🍸 and he nailed it with a gin and tonic peach frothy concoction It was delicious and I recommend the cheapest appetizer on the menu The potato fingerlings oh wow Thats all I got to say
Very beautiful view of Manhattan and Brooklyn bridge. A very nice place to bring your own food and enjoy the sunset. There were also a Heineken DJ playing some lowfi music. You can also buy drinks at the venue but a pint of Heineken is 11 dollars and a pint of a regular IPA is 13 dollars. On overall, a good public space to enjoy after a hard day of work.
I love this place! It is family oriented. You can also take a nice Leisure walk. A great photo op location! The sceneries are breathe taking! There are seesaws to play with and ice skating on the roof in the winter! And great live band venues here too!Thank you for your service.
I went here to see my favorite band squeeze. Its on the rooftop and has a very lovely view of the city (see pictures). They have a bar and a small selection of food only two options. The lobster roll or the Sliders. The only reason that I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that the food is a little expensive and after you pay for your food and drink there is no place for you to sit they dont even provide you tables so you could eat while standing.
Great spot for a stroll/ walk by or staying for food/ drinks or a chill out. Surrounded my bars, restaurants and rooftop bars! Great new modern place along the pier with views of the two bridges. Surprised with how much seating there was to be able to look out along the water! Really peaceful and so worth stopping by for the view and staying on for the amazing newly available amenities!
Fulton Street - Pier 17, gloomy, rainy day but had a great lunch at Cobble & Co. - burger, fries, fish tacos, mac & cheese and delicious shakes...surrounded by all windows, bright airy atmosphere. Outside cobble stone streets, closed to cars, beautiful gazebo with greenery, large plants, flowers. Great shops. Enjoyed ice🍦cream at Big Gay Ice Cream - where it was pouring out so we enjoyed our dessert in a connected indoor courtyard. Stepped into a pop up art gallery with art from a nj local artist. Public bathrooms were available it looked like you were walking into a store - with a nicely decorated waiting area to rest & take pics while you go to freshen up...Went to the Roof Top @ Pier 17 which are now event venue spaces with lots of entertain and concerts scheduled. Great space & fantastic views!
Beautiful venue. Lets keep it that way! Saw blackbear and Billie Eilish here so far but I will definitely be back. Sound quality is top notch. Beautiful views while waiting outside. Also the staff is super friendly! Make sure you come here even if its a band you are unfamiliar with youll have a great time. Keep music alive and tip your bartender!
My very first impression of the renovated pier 17 was that it was not as inviting as old pier 17. It has become much larger than it used to be and the concrete makes it less cosy than the old wooden construction, I thought. But I changed my mind after visiting the new building. You should definetly go to the roof and enjoy the view. Its amazing. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Theres always something to do (movies, concerts, ...) so you can come back a dozen of times and still not get bored.
Pier 17 has great views and its an impressive facility. The problem is that its a facility and feels like one - cold, controlled, and definitely not the community space that its attempting to emulate. This approach is common and driven by the market or interests of its anchors/sponsors like ESPN. When its not crowded, its worth a quick visit.
What an incredible venue! So much happening in this area. Cool restaurants to eat at downstairs and once you get upstairs the views are unbeatable! The venue was clean and workers were very nice! Prices for food and drinks at the venue were as expected. I highly recommend it!
Went on a Wednesday evening for ice skating. It was such a nice experience. The check in process was quick, fill out a waiver, pick up your skates and your off. The rink is pretty small, but for a Wednesday night there was a small crowd. The view was awesome. They have an indoor area where you can lounge, but food and drinks. The server was very friendly and attentive! The grilled cheese and soup is pretty good. I’d get it again!
Went to see the Pumpkin arch! There was a small line where everyone was 6 ft apart and everyone was made to wear masks until you get under the arch, it was worth the wait and had amazing views! This was my first time at pier 16, but not my last, clean and cute@abbyrobles_
Ofcourse the restaurant designs were outstanding. However, its NOTHING like the original seaport with the shopping, unique stores and traditional architecture. Views were stunning, but theres no life or city chaos. Really nothing to do unless you just want to go for the view or maybe sit down to eat.
Its beautiful here. Its great having lunch here, strolling here and just being here overall. Its so relaxing look across the East River St Brooklyn. Its just a scenic view they it literally NEVER GETS OLD. Ive been coming here for the last three years and every time I come Im simply impressed. The varying arrangement of clouds and the difference casts of weather always changes things up a bit alongside seasonal changes. Its fall now so there is a pumpkin display on hand which makes Pier 17 even more interactive than it already is.To those who love in the area, I envy you. You can bring your dinner out here and have long, meaningful conversations with people. I love it down here.
We drink from the Hudson well eat anything. This place has the best drinking water money cannot but because its free. If you have a minute try your best to not drink it trust me. It hasnt been blessed by Friars, at least not yet, so one thing is for sure...I will definitely come back and visit in a few seconds.
Beauuuuutiful view of Brooklyn bridge and the river way heading to liberty Island. If, and I say if you can make it to a concert here at Pier 17 youll wont be upset by the best concert venue in south manhattan. Would have loved to stay in NYC to see more concerts at this venue.
Great experience. Pier 17 is an awesome place with many things happening at the same time for entertainment of the patrons. It is safe either night or day. The view from the rooftop is amazing and it is so peaceful and quiet that you can take a book and read right there. The streets are clean, good parking spots and good food. Definitely a must visit, again and again.
Great venue!! I really enjoyed everything about the place. The location was amazing with views of Brooklyn, the bridge, downtown. The staff was first rate. Maybe the most polite and helpful crew at any venue Ive ever been to and the prices were acceptable. The merchandise was set up a little out of the way which was great, because you werent trying to pass the queues of folks buying shirts on your way to the performance area. It was a good time. A truly well run and managed establishment.
“sit...drink...relax... Brooklyn bridge view...” -It has nothing special to offer you but peace/calmness.Go there, grab a pint of beer and relax on the benches. One restaurant (East river Esplanade) is there, right at the pier who offers you a great martini. You can take stairs and go to the second level to look around. But for me looking at Brooklyn bridge is the main motive to come here.

2022-05-03Very nice and modern set up for gathering of friends and for watching a mid-size concert event in an open air roof top in the city that overlook the sky scraper of the financial district and the two nyc bridges at the same time. Thats the advantage of strategically located at the tip of the island.

2021-10-28This is one of my favorites places at any time of the day, it always has friendly people, gorgeous views all day long and 360 degrees from the rooftop. Every month or season they have from concerts to ice skating, etc.. just love this place a lot. Great to take a walk, sit down at night, watch the sunrise or sunset, it has enough space to work out by the water, and lovely restaurants. I can truly go on forever!Edit: I just added the 2021 Doggie Halloween party at the pier! Cutest thing ever

2022-01-02A cool place to walk around especially at night. We went to this area to grab dinner at Momofuku. There are a lot of eateries around, and the lights are very pretty to look when it gets dark!

2022-05-19Go to Pier 17 if you want to go to fabulous restaurants with outdoor seating with amazing views of the Brooklyn bridge. There are also benches along the pier where you can sit, relax and enjoy the amazing views. Check out the concert schedule too. It’s on the rooftop. Imagine a concert on the roof top with unbelievable views. This pier very close to the subway station. Just a short walk away. Check out my photo I took from the restaurant.

2022-06-24If I lived here I would study, work out, eat and practically live here the vibe was so amazing and chill and I was so amazed by how many nice people we encountered. Loved this pier experience

2022-06-14Everything is empty or overpriced, the escalators are so confusing, terrible place. made worse by the fact that the rooftop has AMAZING views of downtown, but any photos you would want to take are blocked by a massive metal bar that surrounds the entire rooftop and is too far out to reach behind. dumbest spot in the city.
