It is in a great spot and has a lot of free stuff to offer. There are many beach volleyball courts and a long turf area. At the end of the Pier there are stairs and chairs that you can relax on and watch the boats go by or watch the sun set over Jersey City. If you are willing to spend money you could play mini golf or go on a ship called The Grand Banks and get some oysters and cocktails. It feels peaceful on the Pier and there are views of the statue of liberty and the freedom tower.
Omggg this place is pure heaven. I went for the first time with my children and it was so relaxing. Kids enjoyed themselves and I enjoyed all the beautiful senary and relaxing time. I simply love it. Will definitely be going back. The sunset was by far the greatest moment 😍😍
This restaurant asked to pay $25 deposit per person for the reservation. I made my reservation on 7/6/2021 for 2 people at 10:15pm. By the time I arrived the restaurant was closed!!! Although Yelp and google map showed the restaurant was open till midnight!!! And it was raining hard that night, I paid $60+ for Uber to get there and they were closed without any notice. And I still got charge for the $50 deposit and not sure if I can get my money back. This was a horrible experience for my NY trip!!! If could I am not willing to give a single star for this restaurant.
Admission price was fair and the venue itself was in a pleasant location. However, the course itself was very uninspired and not varied, not to mention a little short. Overall a fun experience for the price (especially with kids) but dont expect it to be the main event of a day out.
The area is beautiful a lot families very safe and relaxing. My children had an amazing time. There was a sandbox box, swings, a jungle area for the children to play. There is an area for you to workout. Plenty of space to social distance and have a great time. Plenty of seating areas. There is a bathroom thats open for a long time.
Really beautiful landscape views of the skyline and the Hudson river, even though there are a lot of people who come here it always feels spacious and not too crowded. There is also a children’s park with swings and all that so it’s very family oriented as well. There are a lot of little art sculptures if you really look around and pay attention it is extremely interesting, the grass and landscaping are very well-kept. I recommend this place it’s wonderful.
Had a bummer of a time trying to play sand volleyball here. I reserved a court a week in advance; then, day of, a thunder-and-lightning storm hit, and the National Weather Service issued a flash-flood warning. Given the circumstances, I thought the Pier people might take pity and make an exception to their no-refunds-or-rescheduling policy.Ha! After emailing to ask, explaining my groups safety concerns, I received a reply not only refusing a refund but chiding, Its not good form to email so close to your reservation to cancel. I wrote back that we were waiting in hopes the weather would clear—no response.Look, I recognize that a policy is a policy, but the lack of empathy upset me (even more than the $200 down the drain). Obviously my friends and I didnt want to cancel, yet the Pier rep seemed unable to understand where we were coming from. If youre looking to reserve a court, I recommend going elsewhere.
Loved going there for kayaking in the summer. It’s free but you can also leave donations. The team of volunteers there are amazing, supper friendly l, professional and very helpful. The current there is a bit not smooth specially if there are big boats crossing by. You will def get wet so make sure you have a change of cloth and not to curry your electronics in case. There are safes to leave your valuables, chose or cloth. Very nice view of the skyline of New Jersey but the track for kayaking is limited which was not a problem unless you want longer kayaking.
Great free place to entertain kids for hours. Free fishing. Free kayaking. Sand box. Water games. Rock climbing. (The golfing does cost a minimum fee) There is a lot space to ride bikes and scooters. Stunning relaxing view. Will definitely come back again and again and again.
Great pier. Theres a really nice playground when you first walk on as well as a skatepark which seems to always be in use (I dont skate so no idea if its any good...).Past that, theres a mini golf course which is nothing special but for the fact that its super cheap, was $5 last time I went, and a pretty unique activity on the island. Plus, your on a pier, you get a nice breeze, its great. Then theres a great set of sand volleyball courts, but sadly they are almost always reserved for leagues or whatever and when theyre not, you generally have to pay to use them which is pretty frustrating but everyone has bills to pay I suppose. The turf at the end is too small to use for anything athletic but lots of folks seem to play with their kids there and sometimes folks run exercise drills there. All in all, a really well done, multi use pier!
So I play soccer here with a group of people every once and awhile. The field here is great. There is also a sand pit to play volley ball and as with all other piers you can run/walk around it or just enjoy the view. The view of One World and New Jersey are nice from there. In addition, there is a family (KIDS) park at the front of the pier that all can enjoy. Would suggest checking it out if you are in or live near the area.
Peaceful and serene with beautiful views of the Hudson River, great for running, easy access from the westside bike trail, back volleyball, basketball court, skate park, miniature golf, playground for the kids, bathroom facility, and at the end periscopes to see views of New Jersey and the Statue of Liberty.
If you can find the Pier in the morning, it serves as an amazing respite from the noise and madness of the city while being literally in the shadow of said noise and madness. The Pier packs a lot into a such a narrow but relatively long extension into the Hudson River, including an actual sand court for volleyball, mini-golf, and lounge chairs at the end of the pier. But it fills quickly during peak hours and quickly loses its charm.
Hudson River Park is a joint state and city collaboration, but is organized as a New York State public-benefit corporation. Plans for the park were devised in the late 1980s following the cancellation of the Westway plan, which had proposed an interstate highway to replace the deteriorated West Side Elevated Highway. The park was built starting in the 1990s in conjunction with the construction of the surface-level West Side Highway. Work was completed over several stages through the 2010s.Hudson River Park connects many other recreational sites and landmarks. It runs through the Manhattan neighborhoods of Lower Manhattan (including Battery Park City, World Trade Center, and Tribeca), Greenwich Village (including the West Village and Meatpacking District), Chelsea, and Midtown West (which includes Hudson Yards and Hells Kitchen/Clinton). The park connects two other waterfront parks: Riverside Park to the north and The Battery to the south.Bicycle and pedestrian paths, spanning the park north to south, open up the waterfront for recreational use. The park includes tennis and soccer fields, batting cages, childrens playground, dog run, and many other features. The parkland also incorporates several rebuilt North River piers along its length, formerly used for shipping.
Pier 25 is awesome, one of the best places to visit in nyc. They have mini golf, 5 dollars for adults and 4 dollars for kids under the age of 14. They also got a skate park and volleyball courts. Hot spot for tourist because of the beautiful view across the water, also great for photos.
This pier is one of my favorites, it includes an affordable golf course, boats ride and a beach volley ball court with concession stands offering drinks and snacks. It’s also along the greenway so bikers can go make a day of riding around and settling down at this pier.
Perfect pit stop on your walk, bike, or run through the Hudson River Park. Complete with sand volleyball courts, $5 mini golf, and a small cafe. I believe Saturday mornings are first come, first served at the courts. Im a big fan of the lounge chairs or the wooden deck at the end of the pier for sun bathing.
GREAT PLACE - NO POLICE HERE THOUGH. :(Great spot to read or relax & soak up the sun.Just right to bring your little ones to play.NO SECURITY ! ! ! ! ! !People who smoke marijuana and/or drink have nothing to worry aboutNo police presence is seen.No security guard here to patrol.WHY WOULD I COME TO PLACE THAT HAS NO CONCERN TO TRY TO KEEP THIS AREA S-A-F-E FOR VISITORS.
Pier 25 in Tribeca is a fun pier with sandy beach volley ball courts, miniature golf, childrens playground, an esplanade where you can sit and take in the Hudson views.Theres a small snack bar serving chips, sodas, water, lemonade, and candy. In the summer time, the Grand Banks schooner is anchored here, serving up oysters and seafood fare with wine, cocktails, etc. Many boat owners dock here as well. Its a nice little respite from the city.
Who knew there was a mini golf option along the Hudson? Not this girl! Its nothing super fancy. Some of the holes are uneven, making the game even more of a challenge. Overall though, have to say theres something comfortable about doing something Im used to in non-big-cities in Manhattan, at only $5 per person. Not bad!
Sept. 27, 2018 I had heard that the playground would be closing sometime this fall for repairs--checked the website, which said Open. We walked there--its closed. How hard is it to update a website? This is pure laziness and incompetence, coupled with complete indifference towards the people who use the playground.

2022-03-23The park has swings, sun bathing chairs, lots of places to sit, mini golf, a skate park, & so much more! It was super clean. This was my first visit but won’t be my last. The area I was at had a little restaurant but I think a place to get ice cream or small snacks would be nice too. All in all, 5/5 would highly recommend for families, hanging with friends, or if you’re meeting that person from Hinge for the first time.

2022-06-18Office outing to moni golf: lots of fun, staff was great, lots of shaded areas so it felt cool on a warm day. Part of the course was under repair so staff was mulling around one of the holes which was distracting & annoying.

2020-03-21Interesting idea to add a pier with activities that are otherwise difficult to find in New York. Has a skateboard park, beach volleyball, and a rather tame mini-golf (think hills and rocks rather than windmills). The playground is good for children training to be mountaineers - lots of climbing equipment (with a few swings). There is also a thin field that feels kind of like a filler or a mistake - too thin for sports, and the fake grass isn’t really comfortable for relaxing. Of course, a more natural area is only a short walk away at Rockefeller Park, so not a great loss.

2018-08-01Fantastic place to spend the day outdoors. Its clean with an array of things to do from Skateboarding, Beach Volleyball, Mini Golf, to lots of childrens outdoor areas (water park, sand box area, rock climbing,) and free fishing on selected days! We caught an American Eel on our 1st try. Theres a restaurant on Pier 25 (havent tried it yet). We spent an amazing day in the city with an out of the city feel!

2019-12-27One of my favorite places in New York City. Pier 25 at Hudson River Park has a lot to offer. It is extremely clean and spacious they have bathrooms 24 seven. It’s a great place to go jogging or exercise. They have things like mini golf and volleyball available seasonally when the weather is nice and they have a skate park there. They sell really good lemonade and snacks as well. Many people walk their dogs here , In fact there is a really great dog park. It’s also just a nice place to sit on a bench and enjoy lunch or contemplate. Really beautiful views, even though there are a lot of people who come here it always feels spacious and not too crowded. There is also a children’s park with swings and all that so it’s very family oriented as well. There are a lot of little art sculptures if you really look around and pay attention it is extremely interesting, the grass and landscaping are very well-kept. I recommend this place it’s wonderful.

2019-05-11Beautiful, well kept park in a great location. Playground and spray showers are among the best in the city. Mini golf is nice but gets backed up when crowded (its popular on nice days). Turf field and sand volleyball are really nice activity areas for a park in Manhattan.
