A new Park in the Hudson River. The sunset views along the Jersey shore and the light reflection on the water deserve a 5* rating. The huge swings with a River view are also a great addition to an unforgettable experience. NYC is always surprising everyone with something new!!!
This is one of my favorite parts of the city. Late in the evening there are almost no people, just random runners and cyclists. I love to come here when I need to be by myself. The water is so calming.I must admit I havent tried any of the activities at the pier, but just sitting on the bench next to the water always puts me at ease.
Wow this was awesome. Great view of Jersey City. Nice park to relax in Lots of activitys to do. Play volleyball, play tennis, play racquet ball. You can take a nice job. There is a skate park if you like that, as well as benches and places to sit and stare at the river and see the statue of liberty
Such a great spot for a date, casual stroll, pictures, anything! Theres mini golf and various playgrounds down the middle of the pier, and at the end there are some chairs to lounge in, big binoculars to use, its so great! Recently discovered this little gem and will certainly be back.
What a wonderful restaurant with great drinks and food! Right on the water so the views were fantastic! We got the Rose on tap and finished a whole bottle between the 2 of us.I definitely recommend the pesto and shrimp flat bread. Also love that you can purchase their wine to bring home.
Fun clean area with great recreational activities. A short walk down from Brookfield Park, Pier 26 offers sand volleyball courts (open courts and reservations), mini golf, and nearby basketball courts. A great place to visit if you’re downtown and the weather is nice. Oh, and it’s right next to a wine bar!
As good a set up and customer service as I have ever seen. Ed, handing out the life jackets was a particularly nice chap but they were all lovely and the kayaking and the views were also well worth the trip.Take a donation because Im pretty convinced that youll want to leave one when youre done.To all at Pier 26 THANK YOU.
This pier truly is amazing as a local or as a tourist in the city, especially at sunset. A gift to NYers, truly.Be careful if you’re a cyclist of the parks enforcement officers here, they’ll happily write you a $50 ticket for something that everybody seems to do here.
I will NEVER be going back here again. Maybe because of covid the service has gotten worse. We had to wait in line to tell the host if we were grabbing drinks or sitting down to eat. There were no clear direction about waiting in line. Because this place checks if you are vaccinated, people take advantage by sneaking into the side and going upstairs. When we went upstairs to get drinks, we were waiting at the bar to get served but didn’t get served at all. We saw this bartender yelling at another person standing across from us that they didn’t order by the cash register at the bar. We left not served and disappointed. No clear communication of where the drink orders start. If this place is trying to practice “covid safe” then they need to communicate better on where to order drinks and that theres strict protocol. Also this place poses a health risk because of the people sneaking in and not proving their vaccination. I find this place unsafe.
Great pier. You can do FREE kayaking! You sign a release form (must be ableTo swim),They give you a free lock & locker, life vest , paddle and of course kayak. You can do single or double. There’s no time limit but since there’s boundaries you probably wouldn’t be out on the water for more than 30 min.Your bottom will be wet so be mindful on what clothes you wear. The views are spectacular
Its a great place. You get free kayaking on Hudson river. Its run completely by volunteers. Be careful and listen to the volunteers when they ask not to go beyond the buoys. And also dont go too close to the wall on the shore as the huge waves from the passing vessels can throw you on to the wall.
OMG 😎❤️ Im obsessed with the features and imaginative play with a nautical themeIts an oasis for New Yorkers and visitors alike with a variety of recreational and educational activities.Hudson River Park runs four miles along Manhattan’s west side come hangout with me at @diormalkam on insta🗣️❤️
Free summer kayaking.Nice view of Battery Park city and WTC tower.Complimentary lockers and locks; life vests are worn, but in reasonable condition. Some fun inflatables creatures to delineate the kayak borders.Crowded after work on a Friday (6pm), but dont have to wait long. They have a couple of changing rooms nearby.
Pier 26 is a great outdoor venue. I was there this summer to see Fun. perform, and the setting is amazing. Looking around youre surrounded by the Freedom tower, across the river from Hoboken, just surrounded by water. It was raining the night I saw it, but it didnt make the experience any less awesome. Since it is outdoors on a pier, you can stand one pier over for free, so if you dont care about being up close and personal, skip the tickets and listen from a distance!
Boathouse at Pier 26, Has free kayaking with just two requirement {1}Age above 18 (even they don’t ask for ID) {2} You need to know swimming .just say yes and they will allow you for kayaking .But just be safe, Due to a lot of big boat run over Hudson ,sometimes Hudson river have scary wave which make difficult for kayaking .
I recently saw FUN. at pier 26, and I enjoyed the show. I though it was very clever how they were making use of unconventional space in order to create a convenient venue. The acoustics were standard to an outdoor concert. It was a very good temperature, given it is on the hudson.
From their web site, Hudson River Park, the longest waterfront park in the United States, has transformed five miles of decaying piers and parking lots along Manhattans West side into a beloved, urban recreational paradise.Pier 26 is a welcome addition to the sprawling Hudson River Park, located right next to...you guessed it - pier 25. Open for events, but still under construction, Pier 26 has been home to a handful of concerts that we were able to enjoy during our beach volleyball games right next door.A few of us took a walk over to further explore, and saw them setting up a large dog park, some environmental habitats, a boathouse, and a restaurant. Im assuming that once the pier is completely finished, they probably wont host concerts; all that foot traffic works best on the concrete thats there right now.As a frequent visitor to Pier 25, Im continuing to watch the ongoing development from right next door, and look forward to the soon-to-be-finished Pier 26!
I went to Pier 26 for the recent OneRepublic concert and it was a pretty impressive venue in a lot of respects. For one, you have an unbelievable view of downtown while being out on the river and the band constantly mentioned that they thought it was the best venue they had ever played at. For another, at least the time I went, there were food trucks, plentiful bathrooms, and stalls in the venue right where the concert was so it was easy to grab food and watch the performances. The venue is surrounded by a lot of fun activities as well including mini-golf, a small park, volleyball nets, and a restaurant. The only thing I would complain about is that the actual venue as a music performance area is not the greatest. Its, well, a pier so its completely flat so at the back youd have absolutely no view of the performers. Theres no real place to sit (although why would you during a OneRepublic concert) and its not shaped in the normal semi-circle to maximize viewing but rather an elongated rectangle. That said, still one of the best experiences in the city and would enjoy going there again.
Kayak the Hudson River:Until mid-October, you can take a kayak out on the Hudson River at Pier 26 in Tribeca, or the Manhattan Community Boathouse locations at Pier 96 in Midtown and in Riverside Park at 72nd Street. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

2021-06-01Pier 26 is one of those places you have to see for yourself. Its an impressive design public space. I love the swings, in particular, the sunbathing chairs, 180-degree view of the Hudson, multiple layers sectional, and the elevations that change your viewing angle. Check out the shots below to get a feel for the place.

2020-12-11Perfect place for a family outing (with kids). They have a specific playing area that is netted around that is perfect for kids to play soccer, basketball without having the worry of them falling off the pier or get lost. There is also two swinging benches perfect to lullaby a kid for their nap time or for kids to enjoy a mini swing experience. The view is absolutely breathtaking, you are able to see the Freedom tower as well as the Statue of Liberty from afar. Also, the perfect date spot to experience the sunset with the view overlooking NJ.

2020-10-05This place next to Pier 25 is designed very well to complement the view of the river, coastline and city all in one.. The deck looks great and I am sure it will be popular when the sun is out. Nice place to bring the family, quiet stroll, to enjoy the views and contemplate on your own thoughts. Great place!,

2019-11-19During the summer months, kayaking around pier 26 is a great idea!!!! We went there on a Saturday morning and, although there were a few locals around, there were plenty of kayaks for us to stay in the river for as long as we wanted. The area where you are allowed to kayak is signalled with buoys, which makes it a safe and very pleasant leisure time activity, and for free!!! The view of the Financial Center from the water is amazing!! Great assistance from the people in charge!! There are lockers for you to leave your belongings.
