Unresponsive to emails & calls. Building in White Plains is infested with roaches, light problems, elevators break all the time, stairs are filthy- walls are smeared with pee and who knows what else. Drugs are a problem, Ive found baggies and other items. I informed management about it but they dont clean the stairs or fix the other problems
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. 26-80 30th Street in Astoria is infested with bed bugs and cockroaches. Landlord fraudulently signs affidavit stating they have no knowledge of bed bugs despite numerous public complaints with the dept of buildings. Water is either freezing cold or scalding hot. I suffered second degree burns from jumping out of the shower to avoid the hot water, only to burn myself on the radiator pole. Elevator never works, food and garbage constantly in hallways. Fortunately I had the means to get out so I did after only six months of this hell hole. I have lived in seven apartments in manhattan and queens and have never experienced anything close to this.
It really depends who you deal with. I moved into an apartment and everything was great, never really had a problem. Sure they follow the heat guidelines, but it never was horrible where I had to move. They are in business to make money, so rent is rasied by the maxium they can and so on. I had a fair share of problems, but everything was delt with accordingly. All my phone calls were returned and finally they know how to e-mail. I had a happy pleasant stay. My super, Arben was great, and they finally painted the building. I spoke to the Manager a few times and I got service that was needed.
The buildings are old but I have always found my building manager Anthony to be incredibly responsive. I like my building and apartment and honestly I look forward to speaking with Anthony when needed. There are some things that are out of control like package theft in unattended lobbies. This is a problem in Astoria and not exclusive to my building. Hopefully one day there will be cameras installed although I am not sure that would fix the issue.Ive lived in NYC for 19 years and have had several landlords. Hands down, Anthony is the most pleasant building manager I have ever had.
I live at 4106 Case St. building in Elmhurst, Queens. Besides the disrepair, cockroach infestation (their free monthly extermination doesnt exist as the entire building is infested), there is inconsistent heat!I have made two reports to 311 for no heat, because last night it was -2* with windchill and tonight its 7*F with windchill. The boiler needs to be replaced and the superintendent revealed to me that Pistilli is thinking of selling my building in order to avoid replacing the boiler.I am going to see if the law schools here provide pro-bono work or free consultation, in order to set up an escrow account for my rent that doesnt pay the rent until the boiler is replaced. They cant evict me, because they are breaking the heating laws of NYC. There are tons of reviews online against them for this and my e-mails as evidence.Do not rent from Pistilli Realty Co or you will have a very unpleasant living experience. Any good reviews from them are from their own employees.
Pistilli Realty is very professional and considerate of my needs. I have been at 34-06 32nd St for a year, and I absolutely love the location. Its convenient for the train, shops, restaurants/bars. The apartment had been completely gutted and renovated before I moved in, so its clean and spacious. However, I have had some issues with the responsiveness of the superintendent with things like massive amounts of soap and food items coming through my kitchen sink every day, a slow draining bathroom sink, as well as a fire alarm that hadnt worked for the first month I moved in. There have also been some stolen packages, but I believe theyre adding more security to the building with electronic keys, which will make me feel more safe.
I currently live in a building managed by this company. They are only interested in getting every penny they can, and not in creating a good living environment for their tenants. Fairly hands off, at least, but heaven help you if you have any kind of a problem. And they will raise your rent the maximum amount legal every year.
Roaches and broken elevators.Things reported broken are seldom fixed. If you have limited mobility, I suggest not living above the Lobby floor, because youll be stuck frequently when the elevators both break at the same time, or youll have to wait forever when only one elevator is being used for a couple hundred residents.235 S Lexington in White Plains
This company has a very poor customer service. I called to rent an apartment in the Bronx and they told me that they only work with a single broker in the Bronx that had to communicate with that broker but that broker never answers the phone and I have never been able to communicate with him
DONT RENT OR DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE ! STARTING FROM THEIR NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE ONLY COMMUNICATES THROUGH EMAILS ONLY IGNORANT BROKER JOSE BORGES TO THE WHOLE MANAGEMENT PISTILLI REALTY! I RECENTLY JUST STARTED A CASE AGAINST THESE CREATURES, HOW JOSES UNPROFESSIONAL SELF EMBARRASSED ME INFRONT OF THE LANDLORD BECAUSE HE TOLD ME ONE THING THEN ANOTHER ! PISTILLI INSTEAD OF GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS AND PUTTING 1 AND 2 TOGETHER DECIDES TO TELL ME IM HARRASING THEM!!! ACCUSED ME OF HARRASSING THEM BECAUSE I WAS INTERESTED IN AN APT ! I GOT ON THE PHONE WITH MY LAWYER RIGHT AWAY !

2022-06-12Pistilli Realty is the worst management company!! Do not rent any of their properties unless you want to live with water bugs or mold growing on your bathroom tub. Below are just a few pictures of the water bug infestation. The management company do not care about their tenant’s living conditions. I lived in 47-30 59th street for a few months and must have seen a water bug almost every day! Not only were the water bugs in my apartment but also scattered throughout the building. Their only “solution” to the pest infestation was sending a monthly exterminator to spray chemicals in the apartment knowing that will not prevent the water bugs from entering my apartment or get rid of the nest in the building.I paid $6,000 in security deposit fees, $5,000 on new furniture in addition to paying $1,800 monthly in rent to live with water bugs!!! Of course they did not return any of the fees!! That is the least they can do! While living under these horrific conditions, Pistilli Management sent me an eviction notice for having a dog in my apartment while the majority of tenants in the building own a dog. I had to give away my dog but continue to see dogs come in and out the building with no issue. Pistilli Management just collects rent from their tenants with no regard to the tenant’s living conditions!

2022-05-09If you like living in roach infestation then this is the realty group to rent with.Leaking bathtub and bathroom sink-- I rather wash myself publicly at a fire hydrant.Roaches are everywhere, they must be paying rent since the building does nothing to reduce them other than the lousy monthly extermination (which there isnt even a signup sheet).

2022-05-09Pistilli Realty is bottom tier for non-luxury buildings. Ive recently signed a lease in one of their buildings, the apartment was listed as is which was fine. When I viewed the apartment everything was outdated which was fine because its a pre war building. However, its been about 6 months and their management team and specifically LARRY GREENBERG lacks 1) comprehension 2) detail orientation 3) professionalism 4) empathy. My bathroom sink has been leaking for about 4 weeks now, creating a horrific mold substance because the faucet is never fully off. When I turn the sink on the water runs yellow for a few minutes.Lobby door doesnt latch close properly, anyone can just waltz into the buildingLaundry room garbage isnt regularly taken out so sometimes it smells like something died.ROACHES everywhere and dont even try to get the super to patch up holes in the apartment because its damn near impossible. Its unfortunate because I love this apartment and probably just 5 hours of their time would have all the terrible bits sorted out. But again they lack everything I listed about.

2021-08-04Horrible realty company, couldnt say enough horrible things. From my building manager to the VP responding with short ill informed responses. My apartment is 2 floors above an illegal nail salon and the super is allowing it to happen for about 5 months now. Makes sense why my unit was empty because randomly the smell of acetone will take over my bedroom and leave it unlivable. Could say nothing but the worse, Ive been locked in the basement due to faulty elevators being basically stranded for 20mins twice now. The buzzer has been broken for 3 months with zero repair in sight, the roaches are an issue. Its a shame because my apartment is the biggest Ive ever lived in.1555 grand concourse

2021-03-18This is horrible management company. When the receptionist is on vacation they have answering service, which is cheap and impractical when running multiple buildings in NYC. They did not give the super any equipment for salt or snow blower to clear the drive-way with the past several winter snow-storms we had. We called 311 to complain. They dont respond to emails currently in process of taking them to court for my rent deposit. So happy I made the move out of the building. FYI, the super in 2815 Beverley Rd. is deaf and does not have hearing aid, which is dangerous asset to have in the building if the boiler goes.

2020-11-10Repairs take FOREVER, and communication is very inconsistent. They dont reply to emails. They always try to pass the work onto the Co-op association. The porters and supers are excellent, but the super cant fix things that Pistill is responsible for. I have pieces of plaster that have fallen off my wall, bubble plaster on the walls, a short in my bathroom light, and a faucet issue that has been going on since April. Save yourself the headache and rent from another company.

2019-05-20I have lived in a building run by Pistilli for 3 years and I have nothing negative to say. Overall the building itself is beautiful, large, and has everything you need (gym, laundry, 24/7 doorman, elevator). In addition, management is quick to respond and addresses concerns promptly. There is a super on site who is quick to respond and helps with any situations. A+ building (both inside, and outside given location) and management. Would recommend.

2020-02-24Rents are low because they dont take care of the place. My 2 bedroom is big though . Eat in kitchen l.R. and D.R area . Large foyer too . Bedrooms are big lots of closet space. Bad side no garbage compactor, if you want to keep your rent low, paint the apt yourself and put addons on your own. Laundry is pretty dirty . Security guard is usually just hanging out downstairs.

2018-10-16Worse management I ever have. I have water draining on my kitchen sink since day one I moved in and also my refrigerator stop working for 5 days I called but everyone I speak too about the issues very rude from super to the building manager. If you have a management that no one listens to your complaints and everyone that suppose to help speaks in a very disrespectfully how can you live in that kind of environment. I am very frustrated about this situation. I will not recommend anybody to rent there. Customer service is very important.
