Got some fudge from here, it was really good! I highly suggest checking this place out.
Laura sells the absolute best fudge Ive ever had! It is outrageously delicious; the texture is smooth and soft. She has great flavors of fudge like pecan praline, raspberry chocolate, Mexican chocolate, and chocolate with caramel and peanuts, and many others. Lots of other unique candy options and soft serve ice cream! Laura and the staff are so friendly! Schroon Lake is lucky to have this business in town!

2021-10-10Came by for some delicious ice cream and sweets! They have a wide variety of fudge, soft serve flavors, and their candy selection has all my favorites! The place is very clean and a must stop whenever you are visiting Schroon lake.

2019-08-09Amazing fudge; really satisfying, very well made, with an impressive range of varieties, each one quite distinct in flavor. Very friendly place, with lots of fun, retro candy bars. My kids demanded that I write this review because they liked the fudge so much!

2019-09-07Came across pit stop sweet shop while getting gas at Stewarts. One of the best candy shops Ive been to. There is such a large selection of various candies and fudge. The variety was great, with traditional fudge flavors like chocolate and chocolate walnut to more unique flavors like orange creme and birthday cake. Lots of different taffy flavors too, including vanilla, banana, peppermint, cupcake, pb&j and other assorted flavors. Lots of vintage candies that you dont see in retail stores anymore. Prices were very fair, under $10/pound, which is much cheaper than the candy stores in the mall near Albany. The retro gas station theme is really cool too, tons of pictures of old muscle cars on the walls. Definitely worth a visit.

2019-08-28DIsappointed. When we first walked in, I was thrilled with the retro candy selection, but I was there for the taffy. The taffy flavors were all quite weird; there was nothing as basic as chocolate or vanilla. There was chicken and waffles, cinnamon roll, frosted cupcake, and rootbeer float. Flavors aside, the taffy was all very sticky - sticking to the papers, making it impossible to eat without a mess. We ended up taking it home and refrigerating it, which solved the sticky problem but made it rock hard. We ended up throwing the $10/lb mess in the garbage. So the retro candy selection was great, but stay away from the taffy.
