Pita Gourmet in other cities:
Ordered their Fabulous Five (large) and extra pita bread. It was actually refreshing when I got there (early) and they told me it would be 2-3 minutes because the falafel was still cooking. While the dishes were all apps, it was 3 meals for myself, and easily would have nicely fed 2-3 people for dinner or large appetizers. They also have small orders and another, where you choose 3 of the five, for much less. The people were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend and I look forward to trying more of their menu.
Attentive service and a good variety of offerings on the menu. Chicken kebab is very tender and baba ghanoush is flavorful. However, the sauce in the traditional salad has a bitter aftertaste (perhaps its supposed to taste like that?) and pita is cold and dry (again, perhaps thats the authentic way to enjoy it, but Id prefer them warm and soft). Overall its nice enough that Id visit again to try other dishes.
I went there for the first time, today and it was great! The chicken gyro wrap was tasty. And, the staff were very friendly. I love how they have Mediterranian food plus stuff like burgers and fries to suit everyone’s tastes. It would be a great place to take someone to even if they were a picky eater. It’s well worth paying a few extra bucks for. I’ll definitely be back. Very glad to have this place in Cortland.
The food is great and comes out very fast. One of the best places to go on main street. The owners are there all the time and are extremely friendly. If your looking for a place to eat while moving in or after graduation for a quick bite then this is the place for you. .
If you like middle eastern food or just food in general this spot can’t be overlooked! It’s the best tasting food , prepared in a timely fashion, family owned & operated. They are all great people, they remember your name & what you usually get. They feel like family too bc they are just so sweet & really do care about their customers.. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.
You couldnt ask for a friendlier bunch of people or better food. Ive been going here religiously for years now, and the quality has never wavered. Ive since moved away and I still come back as much as possible whenever Im home. There are plenty of options for vegetarian or meat eaters, and as Ive been both in my time of eating here, I can attest that both meat and veggie options are equally good. I would give it 6 stars if I could!
Dont expect a true gyros (like you get in Chicago for $4.50). Ordered a chicken gyros and there was a whopping 4 pieces of meat, tons of lettuce, and wrapped like a burrito in a wrap. Huh? Wheres the meat? And the pita? Why the lettuce?$7.75 and Im still hungry. The tzatziki was good and fresh, but thats all this sad burrito/gyros had going for it.
I absolutely love Mediterranean food because of this restaurant. When they first opened I used to only order baklava every week to where they used to know my name I came that much and one day the cook gave me a piece of kebab and immediately fell in love with their food . Now I’m in love with Mediterranean food . I highly recommend this restaurant even though I no longer live in New York I still come back to this town just to try this restaurant again.
Pita Gourmet was perfect as usual with their falafel salads and gyros to-go or dine-in. Charbal and Hanna are super dedicated to provinding authentic Lebanese meals and are welcoming to all guests. The hummus is irresistible and always save room for baklava or rice pudding! I definite stop for those looking for more than burgers, pizza, and sandwiches.

2021-12-17Worst gyro ever. Very disappointed of our lunch today. I have been to pita gourmet in numerous times in the past and everything was very good but this time was the worst experience ever. It is my fiancée’s and I first time to Pita Gourmet in like 3 years and we definitely noticed the difference. We got the chicken gyro and there was barely any chicken in it (attached picture). The lentil soup was basically just lentils with TONS of pepper, the Shawarma plate was extra small, and it tasted terribly. For apps we ordered falafels 🧆 and they were dry and cold. ANYTHING of what we ordered we liked. I usually do not like to be a Karen, but this were so hungry and this experience made me extra HANGRY. I left the whole gyro, and even told the server we were very dissatisfied and she did nothing to get us the manager or try to give us a discount. I’m still extra mad.

2022-06-25My wife and I were passing through Cortland, NY looking for a good restaurant with vegan, gluten free menu options. We had dinner at Pita Gourmet and were very happy with the food quality, quantity, presentation and service. The friendly and knowledgeable waitress helped us make a great selection of vegan and gluten free options that we enjoyed for dinner and we had enough for next days lunch. We did not try non vegan foods, but I have no reason to believe that it would not be as delicious as the vegan ones. I highly recommend Pita Gourmet!

2022-03-18Best food in the area - we live 4 hours away and my wife makes sure we get it every chance we can. Salads are phenomenal, only to be out done by their gyros. Baklava and grape leaves are amazing as well.

2022-03-05Delicious food, friendly folk, and exactly right if Im looking to grab something for myself or a mix of stuff to take out to share with mom or home to share with my queen and the princesses. I think its the warmth I like best. You can feel the love and the world really needs that. Does me good too.

2021-12-18The reviews don’t lie: this is easily one of the best places to eat in town, especially as a vegetarian/vegan. The food always tastes fresh and high-quality, with generous portions for a fair price. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean with a warm atmosphere. I love the Fabulous 5, which offers a tasty (and healthy!) variety of flavors and textures for your pita bread. Highly recommended!

2022-06-24The falafel balls are very tasty the lentel soup is 5 star. The service is sunny and efficient. The loss of the star had to do with the lettuce my wife detected an unpleasant after taste. Her taste buds are better than mine. I did not notice it, but I trust her.

2022-02-04Nothing close to authentic. The food was extremely bland and the portions were tiny for the price that we payed. Would not spend my money here again. The only redeeming quality was the nice staff.
