We loved Pita park. Tonight we placed an order online to go. It was delayed for over an hour, no problem. The guy behind the bar was so nice, and we didnt mind the wait for the food. When my to-go order was given to me, I checked it over and saw that the fries that we ordered for two of the entrees (gyros) were not included. When I went back in, the hostess couldnt have been ruder despite the fact that I was pretty nice. All she did was argue with me. I got what I ordered is all she kept repeating. I said fries are typically a side for an entree and she snottily said, not here theyre not. She continued her passive aggressive rant and I asked to speak to the owner, and I told him what had happened while she continued to insist that she was right and I was wrong. Im not a person that thinks the customer is always right but I think if you treat your customer like garbage whether you are right or wrong, youre going to lose that customer. Maybe Michelle should get another job elsewhere.
Ive been going to Pita Park with my family for years. The food is delicious, and the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. Parking can be a pain, but if youre in the mood for a sit-down Greek night, I recommend it. Georgies Chicken is my go-to entree, but you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
By far my favorite restaurant in town. The food is always amazing, good service and the owner is so nice and friendly. My favorites are the spinach pie, stuffed grape leaves and the mussels pot. The garlic aioli sauce and pita which they put out on every table are so good, I have to try to save room for the meal! Also, amazing herb french fries :)I havent eaten inside recently, although they did open back up for indoor dining, but we order a few times a month. I have several friends that insist we get Pita Park every time they visit as it is really high quality Greek food.
This was my second time dining here, first time was a while back, today came here for dinner with a friend, was very disappointed. The service was very off, had requested for napkins to wipe our hands , took three times before the server finally came back after we requested three times for napkins. Also the server seemed confused about order it came out wrong, felt bad to have it corrected but still disappointing. We were doing outdoor dining, and there was no light on the outside until one of the employees possibly a manager tried to add some light and when it did come on it was way too bright. The burger and the chicken gyro we had ordered tasted like a bowl of salt it had excessive amount of salt, the french fries that came on the side of each of our orders did not taste new it seemed like it was just reheated or something, they did add some seasoning to make it seem like it taste good, overall I was disappointed and expected much better especially from the last time I did come around and eat over here.
We ordered the family meal on Friday evening with the Georges chicken, lemon potatoes & greek salad (small upgrade fee) it came with a quart of sangria. It was plenty of food and the food was awesome. It feed 6 adults dinner and left overs for lunch the next day. I highly recommend checking this out.
The place was understaffed when I went, causing some delays, but everyone was very apologetic and friendly. Food itself was great, and I loved the modern spin on some Greek favorites. Definitely order the spread sampler, and maybe some extra garlic sauce when your dining partners inevitably lick it clean.
Edit: I use to love this place, but sadly it isnt what it use to be. My pick up orders had errors on them and I found hair and gross stuff on one of my dishes. I wont be ordering from here anymore unless there is a famine and this is the only place that has food. I keep picking up their messed up orders. Ill just make my own food.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My go to place for a gyro fix. Dishes and specials are good too. Ive been here a lot and the food never fails.Service is really good too. Some odd days it can be crowded, but its a rare occasion.
I admire this place! They offer tasty meals, their menu is decent, The chef in that place is a specialist, I like very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the customers is agreeable. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all my friends.
The owners are lovely and the food was delicious. My husband ended up getting very ill with GI distress . I did not get sick although we ate the same thing. I dont blame the restaurant as these things do happen but because of this incident we probably wont return for a long time.
Great place! Friendly nice people & delicious food !! What more could you ask for? Went to a baby shower brunch there & had the best French toast I have ever eaten! It was incredible!! Also I havent been there yet for the weekend entertainment but heard the country singer ismarvelous! Cant wait to see her!!
The place is very aesthetically pleasing. The service was slow. At one point the waitress asked if we wanted anything else or just the check and we hadnt even gotten our main course yet. Waited an hour for 2 gyro platters. The Greek style meatballs were the best part of the meal. The potatoes had a weird taste and the pork was a little over cooked. Im sorry to say I did not enjoy the dining experience.
I strongly do not recommend. Dog would not eat it. We just got our license back for... Un cooked falafel. Fried greasy unbread chickenNot to mention they shorted me 1 dollar after a little huddle. For 20... get a nice rib eye and some seafood and fire up that grill!!!!This place is a waste of time or support.
Amazing food amazing service from the hostess to the waitress and even the young looking busboy they are all incredible. Love this spot will deff be coming back. The waiters were on top of refilling the waters constantly. Pita is nice and fresh and hot. The hostess came during the dinner and asked us about our meal which was very kind and thoughtful
The complimentary aioli and pita appetizer is a nice and appreciated touch. The other appetizers (Im looking at you especially, Gigantes) and main courses are great too.The Greek Yogurt dessert is fantastic, and perhaps the main reason I return to dine there. In fact, as I write this, we are already planning on dining there tomorrow night. Oh man, I cant wait for that dessert to arrive on my table!
Ive visited this place the first time when they were a tiny restaurant across the street from where they now reside. The food and staff are excellent. And the decor is amazing. From the small waterfall when you first walk in to the marble detail throughout the restaurant.Ive visited the new location 3 times already and have ordered 3 different dishes. I couldnt give you a favorite. Everything is really good.
I would give this place is 0 Stars if I could I rate a lot of restaurants Im very fair theres new ownership as the complete disgrace there was no one on the premises handling anythings they have no soda no alcohol food was horrific it took forever there was Hair in the appetizers its a complete mess do not go there under any circumstance I assure you you will be terribly disappointed my food looks like leftovers that were left in the garbage overnight Im truly not exaggerating to not go to this place and the new owners should be ashamed of themselves Ive been going there since the place opens and I hope that everyone in the Floral Park follows suit and does not go to this place
The food is pretty good, but whenever i am here I have to wait for my order that was called in 15 minutes ago. There are always 2 or 3 employees sitting at the bar who refuse to help the girl whose seating people and taking orders over the phone it just doesnt make sense. They just sit there. The oddest thing is whats at the hostess counter. A plexiglass tip jar thats locked. I am not sure what I am supposed to tip the hostess for, but the 4 times Ive seen it there has been no money in it and just creates an awkward feeling when I approach it.
Pita Parks move across Tulip Avenue has added to its grace and charm by adding a separate bar area and a larger dining room, complete with function areas. The Staff is quick and neat. The decor is interesting without being distracting, and the food is delicious. There is parking in the rear as well.
Ate a large salad with chicken for dinner was good my wife had a different salad with chicken and told the waitress no anchovies salad arrived late with anchovies and it had that fishy tasteDidnt send back since we had a long wait to eat did not replenish pitas bread which is a must and the tziki sauce was good but different no water refills either

2022-04-25Definitely give this place a visit if youre a fan of greek cuisine or seafood in general. The menu is moderately sized but has great variety and offers mainstays like hamburgers, buffalo wings and salads for less adventurous eaters. Theres a surprisingly large amount of guest seating for such a seemingly small location, and yet it still maintains a lovely intimate atmosphere. And, if you can, I recommended you splurge a little on the drink menu; theyve got a small but delicious selection there, too.

2022-04-02We had Saturday lunch here with two families, ages 3 to 55. The manager there was so kind and accomodating. This was our first experience there and I will be back. The food portions were large. We ordered three different spreads, salad with chicken, the branzino, chicken kebab platter and the spinach pie. Everything was enjoyed and we felt well taken care of. Thank you!

2022-06-15Ordered take out for lunch. Got zucchini and potatoes cakes that were tasteless and greasy. Spinach pie also greasy and tasteless. Salad was overwhelmed with cheese. Only good thing was lemon potatoes. Paid $40 and it was horrible. So disappointed

2022-04-21Not authentic. Grilled octopus was good. However, the slice of feta on the horiatiki salad was paper thin; keftedes were huge, covered in sauce and cold; shrimp saganaki was just shrimp in tomato sauce with feta sprinkled on top. Sorry but thats not how these diahes are supposed to be. Malbec wine was delicious!

2021-03-15Great service by the lovely Eleni (forgive my spelling), amazing food and drinks! Eleni offered us the lamb chop special and it did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to medium perfection, my friend and I left very happy and very full! The ambiance is also amazing. The bar area has a very cute couch area that I look forward to inhabiting. Cant wait to go back!

2021-12-30We dined on a weekday, we were the only ones..The pita bread and dip was great..but zucchini cakes were meh.!Tried the lamb gyro sandwich, wife tried the chicken soulvaki..portions were huge, but overall bland for my Indian palate which is expected, I have had more flavorful soulvaki in Athens so comparing with that. Overall would rate 3 star.

2018-07-29My bestie and I came here from my suggestion after checking out the yelp refuted reviews..The decor of the restaurant is quite lovely and so is the neighborhood its in..a hidden gem of beauty... our waitress was very friendly and professional, also vey informative.. she made some suggestions that we decided to try..the dishes were very neatly displayed..seafood pasta which was ok... the feta cheese was a great addition, would of wanted more flavor and shrimp (only had 2 in that big bowl), calamari was too chewy, mussels were good except that after eating about 10, I started to see quite a few with the tails still on... my bestie had the grilled salmon (I liked the flavor of the salmon), the lemon sauce of the orzo and spinach was vey overpowering and her dish was like warm😞We both enjoyed the eggplant appetizers, very tasty..
