I recently ordered food from here and a few hours after eating I started to feel weird so I went to sleep. Woke up in the middle of the night in serious pain. Then was vomiting all over the place. I had a bad case of food poisoning. Been sick for days and it’s almost Christmas won’t be eating here ever again. I been inside the store before they leave the pizza out all day. I got a bbq chicken slice. Either it was old or the chicken was under cooked or contaminated. Never again I can’t even eat anything besides bread and water. Worst couple days ever.

Still the best pasta in Brooklyn and THE BEST FRIED VEAL I have ever tasted. I recommend every pasta dish including the marsala, Alfredo, vodka, and every other pasta dish. Rice ball was fantastic and the waiter went above and beyond in regards to service. Water is cold and always refilled. Every table was greeted with a couple of pieces of a square slice or maybe it was focaccia bread, either way it was amazing and a perfect touch to the experience. The ambience was stellar and would be nice to host any party. Would and do recommend this restaurant to any and every one. I believe there are 3 or 4 seperate locations. All of which I look forward to trying.
Good pizza and speedy delivery through the Slice app. I got the heart shaped pizza which is perfect for special occasions such as Valentines Day for your loved ones or significant other.

Went there for a catered event. They said it was my uncles favorite restaurant. Everything was delicious, pleasant atmosphere, private room, easy parking, and close to the Belt Pkwy.
Perfect pizza. So good. It reminded me of food I ate in Italy when I visited and I’m a Brooklyn girl. I forgot what good pizza taste like. Thank You for this treat. The crust was perfect crispy not burnt not hard just evenly cook all throughout. I’m so happy eating this , I got the Affumicata and Mini special pizza with mushrooms and sausage
Great pizza no matter which one you get. My favorite is the Margarita. Everything I have had from here is delicious and the prices are good, meaning about average with other pizza places around the city. Also, its a restaurant so with a nice back room for private parties. Staff is accommodating and courteous. I feel very fortunate to live steps away from such a great restaurant.
I used this place as a go to through most of the pandemic. I am totally obsessed with their lasagna. I am a foodie who prides myself on flavor and this place hits every last taste bud. Ive never dined in.... which my husband and I are about to do now... the customer service through the pandemic was always great. Wish us luck.
When this restaurant first open I wasnt impressed and stopped going even though its near me, but in the last couple of years I was invited there for parties or a night out with friends. Each time I came away saying its better than I remember. Well they finally have won me back. Its been about five times now that I thought I dont love that place but I wasnt making the arrangements so I went and was happy. Its still a bit noisy but the food was consistently good. The salads are especially nice. They should add a few grilled items because the menu has mostly fried or highly sauced choices that taste good but choosing health consciously is a challenge. The prices are very reasonable. Its a good neighborhood place. Certainly not gourmet upscale dining but a good choice for a casual dinner. Another nice thing is they dont rush you out so its a good choice for friends.
I ordered varieties of food, one of my order got mixed up. I call them I was ofered a credit, I ordered today almost 2 months later only verified my name with no other qurstioned asked, I got my credit, my food was delivered before the expected time and the food was delicious even my 6 year said mom this is the best pizza everrrrr. Support your local businesses go give it a taste!.
The food , staff , and overall ambience was incredible , it was my 2nd time dining in and wont be my last , ps the fagioli soup is my favorite and a must try .

If I could give this restaurant a 0 star I would!Don’t get me wrong the food is great, but the service is absolutely terrible. I made a reservation on Mother’s Day for 7 people at 5:30.Quickly got seated and placed our orders at 5:40.Water was place on the table and never to be refilled agin by our waiter/ bus boy completely ignored us. Our apps were given to us at 6:30!!!Three apps one of of zucchini strings and two orders of mozzarella sticks at 6:30 .The table was never cleared until we flagged someone down to clean it. Our disappearing waiter finally appeared at 7:00 and said sorry your food will be ready in 10 min!!! Tables of people (5 tables) to be exact came and left us!!Well the food never came and it was then 7:40!!My family and I decided to leave, and they had the nerve to try and bill us. Thank God they came to there senses and didn’t. When asked for and explanation they said they were packing up food for previous customers. I will never come to this establishment again and it’s such a shame!!!!
Disappointed. Ordered a pie with meatballs. The bottom of tge crust had burnt particles from oven which taste awful. Ruined my dinner.

Ive been frequenting this establishment for a while now and the food is amazing! Staff is very nice when you sit in the restaurant portion in the back, but they arent so friendly in the front or take out area. I do love going there from time to time when I need a pasta fix!
Came here for a night out with my partner on Saturday November 7th. We always order from uber eats so we had to give this place a try in person. The food was in a word AMAZING. I was worried at first as to how the experience would be because the waiter came out with water and 2 glasses but we needed the table cleaned. So he sat the water on the dirty table and went back inside for a rag and windex. He then removed the glasses and water carafe from the table and placed them on the dirty chairs. He then sprayed the windex all over the table and it sprayed everywhere and I’m pretty sure even into the open waters. I asked him to replace it and he did so without a problem I just think it’s important that waiters understand how easy it is to contaminate foods and surfaces. Anyways. I had the rigatoni alavodka and my partner had the meatzaa pizza. We also had the cannolis and chocolate chip gelato. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!!!! Including the waiter he made a mistake but I’m hopeful that he learned from it. This place is just too good to be true!

Very good food. Reasonable prices, Large variety of pasta dishes, a lot of chicken dishes, salmon is very good. There pizza magaretta is excellent. Waiters and bus boys are friendly. When you go on a crowded night the noise level can get high. Overall a very good neighborhood restaurant.

This is my favorite local go-to restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, the service is very good. The food is prepared fresh to the way you ask. It is family run and they are the nicest people I know. A reservation is suggested on the weekend as they are always busy.

We reserved this restaurant for a family dinner. We ordered in advance to have items ready on the table to only show up with nothing ready. It took some time to get the food out. The quality of the food was fair nothing I can say stood out. The service was adequate and for a large party they did give us 2 waiters. FYI if you pay with a card they will charge you a credit card surcharge. There is no information about this until they bring you your receipt to sign. First time I have ever encountered this in my life.
Our family attended for Sunday evening dinner and everything on we ordered tasted wonderful. The server was attentive and so many people were there, especially the take out area, yet the food was cooked just right! We enjoyed our night and will be back soon!

Food was good, not great. Love byob! Did not love the fact that 10 min after we got served our entrees we were consistently asked if we are ready to go, no it takes more then 10 min to eat especially after we waited quite a while for appetizers. I also did not care for the charge to pay with my credit card not mentioned at all before I paid with a credit card. I was told by the waiter that he forgot to mention it and he thought everyone knew. Also he gave me a list of all the local restaurants doing it. Sorry, but most restaurants do not charge you to use a credit card and I go out to eat quite often in our area.
We were seated fairly quickly upon arrival. Im surprised that this restaurant didnt serve any bread--it wouldve been a nice gesture but I guess cuz theyre not just an Italian restaurant. The waiter we had was okay. He didnt really come over during the meal to see if everything was okay, etc. I found him inattentive. We ordered 3 pasta dishes and a ceasar salad. Everything was generously portioned and we had leftovers to take home. The flavors were good but nothing amazing. Pretty typical Italian fare served from a pizzeria. Its family friendly.
They provide the worst service. i paid more for the wrong order, and when i called to figure things out the lady and guy in the background was truly disrespectful. They dont know how to communicate and provide good service. i told them i was not familiar with Italian food but i knew what i ordered they made me feel stupid like i didnt know what i ordered and like i was trying to rob them they refuse to give me back my money. They are insensitive , the food is not all that great.
Don’t even know where to begin... Came in today to order a pizza pie, not only was the wait way longer than it needed to be it seems that management should be changed. A manager or owner of the establishment came out to see what was going on in the front, and out of no where took out his anger or frustration on the person who was cutting the pies and sending out the deliveries. Once he left we noticed our pizza pie was ready but we were not called to pick it up. The same person came back out, and yelled at the girl once more, who seemed to be doing a fine job. The workers seem to be like little kids in high school who are doing their jobs, who seemed to be getting yelled at in front of clients which is not only embarrassing but also downgrading. Once I saw the girls face who seemed she was about to cry we gathered our things and left the establishment. We’re taking our business elsewhere, not only do I not want to hear yelling while I pick up my food, I also don’t appreciate that an elderly man in his 60-70s yells at children, who do their jobs pretty well I might add. Stay away, place doesn’t seem that clean either.
Great pizza every time. If youre in the mood for some great pizza in Brooklyn you need to stop by this place. Their recipe is great but especially their thin Sicilian pie. They also have a great selection of pastas and other dinners. One of the best pizzas in Brooklyn!
Waited 2.5 hours for a delivery prior to calling owner and telling him to take his food and leave it in the kitchen. Have 2 small kids. Everyone who answered the phone lied. Lol. Halloween, oh we are catching up, nonsense nonsense nonsense. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to express to people who spend their money to take that money and send their business to La Villa. Better quality food, honest staff, good owners.
I visited Pizza Damore after hearing about it from my coworkers. I got the Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich and a slice of cheese pizza.Both the sandwich and the pizza was perfect. I will definitely be back for more. 👍
Do not get delivered if you live an apt building. You have to come down to the lobby. Besides getting your meal 1 1/2 hours later, cold...soggy fried zucchini . If I went there and took it away it would have been warm and paying the poor kid $5 for a $35 i could have cold food. Not his fault. Bad management. I had back surgery.... really can not believe i had to come down to the lobby... Defeats the home delivery...how about lobby delivery! I even called to talk to management....
I recently visited Pizza DAmore for the first time in almost five years. I used to work nearby and this place was a lunch staple for me.Back then it was 5-star but I felt a major difference this time around. It did not taste the same as I remember. Their grandma slice was wonderful but their vegetable stromboli could have had a little more love to it.If you stick to the basics, you will not be disappointed, but if you venture too far off the traditional selection, you might get something that is heated up in a microwave.Still a great pizza place with a pleasant ambiance and a fantastic square grandma slice.
My cousin and I had a pleasant experience here. I especially love the food and interior design. The ambience was also great. Im interested in inquiring about possibly throwing my sisters bridal shower here. I think my sister and family will love it!
The only reason this place is getting one star is because when the food actually comes correctly, its good! However, ever since they opened another location, the service from this one has suffered greatly. They are consistently messing up phone orders and when they say theyll fix them, they take over an hour and a half to do so. One time, they even said our order went out. When we called back a half hour later, they said they lost it. It also seems like no one knows how to make it right for the customer. Everytime there is something wrong and we call to see whats going, there are different excuses. Such a shame to see this place go so downhill.
We had our Staff end of year celebration here. Even though we had a live DJ, you couldnt hear a sound from the street! The food was excellent, and the staff was very attentive.
This is a very good local restaurant with an amazing staff. They bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. I have had several family events here from 10 to 70 people n they never disappoint. BYOB is a plus! Enjoy the restaurant or just take out a pizza..deliscious.!
We have catered take out for 3 parties and each time the food is incredible and they are such a pleasure to deal with. We have had to add or switch food at the last minute and they have been so accommodating. The food is excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant.
There is no other word that I can think of besides wonderful to describe my event at Pizza DAmore. Last weekend, I had my sons First Communion party there. The food in this restaurant really sucks! Ive went for a dinner a few nights ago besides it being really and getting food about an hour after we came and thats only the appitezers! Our waiter by the name of griffen was very disrespectful towards me and my wife he kept pushing us to leave and claiming we are taking up to much of his space. I dont feel the need to come to a place like this where I spend more then $70 and still get harassed...
Im probably the worst food judge because in my life, Ive eaten too much pizza to give a f#ck, and I hate anything covered in marina. Im what you would call a fussy eater, not that I ever have trouble finding nourishment. With all that being said I like the atmosphere and layout of the place. I enjoyed the fact that it was o.k. for me to bring my orange Red Bull and set it on the table. What I didnt like, as a mother of a one year old, was that theres no changing tables. This seems to be a big problem living in the city overall. Baby was alright with me changing a number two while standing. I had to tell him his favorite story from memory and pretty sure I got poop on me somewhere, but he made it through withstanding his fear of the hand dryer that loomed over us. Thanks for waiting on my family and I and sorry for the puffs and baby food remnants on the floor youre good people running the joint!
Very Good quality food. The night I went there wasnt room in the main dinning room so they stuck us in another room at a table that was too small. They did ask us if we wanted to move half way through the meal but it was too late. I would rather have waited for a proper table. The service was good but the timing was off. they brought the main course with the apps still on the table. Only other problem for me was they do not have a liquor license so I couldnt have a glass of wine with my meal.
There was no heat...the restaurant was freezing cold...ate dinner in my coat and hat.
If i could give this peice of trash negative stars i would. There was nobody in the store and it took me an hour to get my check. After the first 25 mins of waiting, i actually just wanted to see how long it would take. I was done eating for an hour. I had 1 glass of water in my 1 and a half hour visit which should have only been 30 mins. I asked for things and they didnt give me them...it took 15 mins to get me grated cheese...there was 1 other group in the store.
I’ve had numerous occasions held at the Mill ave location. Always stop in for a slice when I’m at the park with my children. We love the food! However every time I call and place a delivery order the phone operators taking the order are always rude and extremely unpleasant. I spend close to $50-$60 dollars and I don’t appreciate a rude phone operator. Tonight I called bc it was taking a bit longer then ever and the young girl told me it was next to leave on delivery. 2 seconds later my bell rang with very cold food. And it sucked bc tonight we celebrated a birthday in our home.
Stupiditly overpriced. Me and my mom went to this place and ordered 2 pepperoni sclices and a chicken wrap, the guy at the register said our order was $15. Really? Then I looked at the menu and 1 regular slice was 2.50 and one other topping was 1.50! We paid 8 bucks for the 2 slices, the chicken wrap was 7 bucks, quite overpriced as well, at least the food was great except for the pizza dripping cheese on my shirt

Waiter was great but got served rubber chicken cutlets twice he took it off the bill. It was like chicken bubble gum. My wife and daughter food was good but i guess chicken cutlets they can not cook
😢MUST READ THIS.....ONE PIZZA DELIVERED TWICE😢..... My sister-in-law called and said I ordered you food its on the way. When pizza came, I called and thanked her for the pizza. . . she said I ordered chinese for you. As an honest person I called DAmore and told them what happened and was told the delivery guy was coming back to bring it to the right person. I called the other customer who originally ordered the pizza to tell them what had happened. As I suspected no one called them to apologize that the pizza was delivered to the wrong address and a fresh one was on the way. They attempted to give them the pizza that was brought to my house. As a food establishment you dont know who youre dealing with so the pizza should have gone in the garbage or as a free gift to the person it was wrongfully delivered to. Not picked up and brought to another location God only knows how often this happens. The gentleman I called didnt seem surprised just asked my address, and didnt contact the original customer. . .UNACCEPTABLE In So Many Ways.
Terrible food via delivery. The crust on the Margherita pie was burnt and soggy. Chicken roll tasted like something from the frozen food aisle and was definitely not fresh.
My friends go to this place to celebrate birthdays. The spinach salad with raspberry dressing is incredible. And definitely try the Rolled Eggplant. Something for everyone. Prices comparable to most in the area.

It is such a shame. The food and the service has truly depleted. I have been going their regularly and using their take out regularly for almost a year. Last night we order the fried calmari. They were as thick as a bangle bracelett and tasted like shoe leather. The carbonara sauce was served with peas that were hard as rocks. The food used to be great and the service exceptional. It is strongly recommended that they do a revamp of the cooks and their service.
We were a party of 7. The place looked good on arrival. Service was slow. The food was so so. Some orders were not right. Overall not a good experience. I will not be going back to this restaurant.
At first I thought it was a family run business, I was wrong. As for the pizza, it was average. I have tasted pizza in Italy and America and if anything its almost the average taste, size, and the prices are ok.

I would give it less than 1 star but it doesnt let you!! Its like a teenage hangout where everyone would rather see people f#@k up instead of helping to get the customers their orders. My food sat on a cold counter ,in front of me, with the door opening and closing while I waited for 20 mins. I had called 20 mins earlier so now its 40 mins and a guy comes out and shows the girl that the food is there on the counter. Of course its cold now and with no remorse from either of them the girl says, thats $28. I said the food is cold now. They stared at me. I told them promptly where they could shove the food. The ownet of this place ought to check his place out, what an embarrassment. This happened Sat February 24, 2018.

💥ONE PIZZA DELIVERED TWICE💥I placed an order for my brother-in-law on Grubhub for dinner. About 30-40mins later, he calls me up to thank me for the pizza. However, I ordered him Chinese food. So we called the pizza place and told them that the delivery guy made a mistake on the address. The man on the other line then told us how he was sending someone to pick up that pizza and bring it to the correct address. WHAT!?!?!? They were going to redeliver a pizza given to a stranger to the original buyer. How is that acceptable? So we called the number on the receipt and told the buyer of the situation. As a food establishment, how is that acceptable? Take the pie back and throw it out and make the person waiting for their pizza a new one and explain the situation. Do the right thing.
The food is amazing and the owner down to the workers and family are good people .. always make u feel home and welcomed. The place was remodeled and looks even nicer then it did before! A must try!
Spinach salad with candied walnuts, blueberries, apple slices with white cheese and raspberry sauce. I order this every time. My 4year old grandson loves it.
I have a gift card for this restaurant but you can’t use it for delivery,which is really bad customer service. I made an order last night and they never put the order in. The customer service is the absolute worst! I highly recommend you find an other restaurant.

Went to purchase a large square pie two toppings then the girl told me 19.87 no problem I have her a 20.00 bill 5 minutes later I over heard the cook complain to her that price was wrong & to charge him more money no problem I paid the other 7.00 dollars but next time Ill find another place to buy pizza this place got over rated like lavilla around the block

One of my favorite places. I know its an Italian place and its known for its pizza and pasta, but they have an apple and goat cheese salad with a raspberry vinaigrette that is just out of this world.

Had delivery from there one week and when I called the next time I was told they only deliver to my area if its the police station or fire house which is located on my block. When owning a business you should be consistent, dont deliver to an area when it suits you.

Cheese had a stale taste and smell , like a bath towel, Gelato besides having no real pistachio taste had freezer burn and last but not lease the toilet bowl still had the remnants of human waste lingering on the walls of the bowl. Almost forgot , and it also stunk.

They were busy and very nasty when I picked up food. Were supposed to deliver but it was taking too long. Refused to refund delivery fee/tip. Very disappointing.

2022-06-28Great pizza! I always get their mozzarella sticks whenever I do order from them; most places taste weird/cheap to me, but not Pizza DAmore. Their bar pizza is so cute 😍 it comes in the shape of a heart! Its the perfect size for me because sometimes Im in the mood for pizza but dont want a huge pie. I would also recommend their soup - flavorful and filling.

2022-04-15I love coming to this pizzeria. The staff is very friendly and will offer recommendations when asked. I had the barbecue chicken pizza and it is loaded with chicken and the barbecue sauce is on the sweet side with a nice kick finish so the balance of flavors is perfect. The crust is the perfect thickness and with the right crunch.

2022-05-07Ordered pickup from them and everything was delicious (couple of apps and several main dishes). Ordered mussels with linguine but half of the mussels were still shut (only disappointment). Still giving them 5 stars because everything else was yummy, big portions and price was right!

2022-04-29I ordered from mill Ave location..it took almost 2 hours for the delivery and they gave me a 45 minute window. I got the pizza and it was cold cold,it didnt look right,it looked like the pizza was too big for the box and the cut the center out. I reheated because I was hungry and the pie had thin spots and the crust was very thick. I think I could had made a better pizza . Worst pizza I ever had!

2022-03-14Enjoyed food here for years but will not be doing business here after my last experience! I ordered two pies and a side for $62 about an hour before closing time. Once I got home and opened the boxes I was greeted to one burnt pie and another pie with the wrong toppings. It wasn’t a big deal at the time because the pizza was already in a hungry household at dinner time and I figured I’ll just stop by the restaurant the following day to show a picture and hopefully rectify the situation. The following day came and it was snowing which hindered me from making it to the restaurant so I figured I’ll just call. After I called and explained I was rudely told “I should’ve called yesterday”, “there’s nothing that can be done now”….as if they aren’t a pizzeria anymore. I’m not one to leave reviews but as a fellow business owner, this is not how you treat a customer.

2022-02-28My kids attended a dual birthday for their classmates and the Pizza party was fun and friendly. Perfect for all the littles. The parents were accommodated and the staff was lovely.Highly recommend!Ordered out for my husband and I, so I wouldnt have to cook when I got back home. Really good calzone and chicken wings.The spinach salad was good, although my husband and I arent goat cheese fans, so we wouldnt order that again. But still great atmosphere and such friendly service.Great job Pizza DAmore Mill Basin 😊

2021-05-06Love love this pizza/pasta joint. The mozzarella cheese on the Rigatoni Azzurri dish is so cheesy and stringy. I havent seen that for so long since I was a kid. Its Rigatoni pasta with mozzarella cheese bake with ricotta and baby bella mushrooms and drench with their YUMMY tomato meat sauce. This whole thing is BAKED so its so good when you eat it fresh. The heart shape pizza was pretty good too with sundried tomato and roasted peppers. You have to try this place out!

2022-03-14Had my 40th birthday party 3/12/22 & I highly recommend having any event there. Everything was PERFECT... the food was great that staff was EXCEPTIONAL... everyone at my party loved the restaurant.
