Good food but this is what was delivered. Reconsider ordering from here!!!
While getting ice cream should be a delicious treat the minuscule portion and staff ignoring me while trying to order was incredibly disappointing. All in all across two ice creams we received about two tablespoons worth of ice cream. That’s one “regular” scoop and one “double”. Incredibly disappointing.
Great pizza place with a lot of options. They also have salads and sandwiches and dessert options. The rice crispy was soooooo good and we really enjoyed the Birch Beer. The employees are kind and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.
I really wanted some pasta. I took a chance on this place because from the pictures it looks like they mostly specialized in pizza. But it turned out better than I expected and Im glad I took the chance. The cheese tortellini in Alfredo sauce had spinach in it with chopped tomatos and the penne was very delicious well, great flavor. Also ordered a side of garlic bread, it comes with melted mozzarella and marinara a whole meal by itself. I had also ordered a rice krispie treats but they didnt have it. The nice thing was someone called me from there to let me know, I didnt pick up the phone but she left me a message that she would be refunding me for it. They went out of their way so that was nice. The only thing they could work on was there was no plastic forks or spoons or napkins with the delivery. Other than that I will definitely keep on ordering from them. So good, cant wait to eat in person because seems like the views are nice as well

This is our second visits within 2 weeks. Love the 8 pieces square pizza, and the store were very kind to mix 2 flavors. The eggplant flavor was delicious, in fact you can go wrong with any of the choice.Employees worked here are very friendly. The lady worked at Taco section (same ownership) was very kind to take several nice photos and picked suitable spots for my daughter and me. Thanks for great memories and everything!
When the place first, the quality and service were excellent including delivery. But it seems in 2021 the quality has went a bit stale and the millennial staff bordering rude. I didnt go below three stars becauseI think the ownenr can correct this.
5 stars for concept. Quaint and modern. Fresh food. Good responsive service. Good owners. Known for their food and they also opened the Hudson Taco next door with full bar.
The Pizza and service were excellent but we ate in the rear dining room that was extremely cold. This is not a way to encourage customers to come back.
Delivery is not good. Always messing up orders. They were excellent once upon a time but now bad management has sunk them. Food is still great 👍 but service and management is subpar.
Disgusting food..its like your quality is goin down started out good dont know what happened maybe changed pizza makers idk dnt really care your food is trash now pizza isnt tasty no taste just bland how is pizza bland..I will never order from here again..Waste of my money🤮👎🏾

! Best pizza ever! Was best we ever had! Id pass on the garlic knots and garlic bread. They make a good sundae as well. A little pricey, but so good. Pasta was nothing special.
Friendly place with a nice atmosphere. I stopped in on a Friday in September for a couple slices. The place was very busy with families enjoying sit down service. I opted to get 2 slices that were ready. They have plenty more than pizzas for lunch and dinner and alos have a small ice cream counter. Also its in a nicer area of Newburgh.
ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK….Every time order it suggests a time and it is always WELL past the time… when call and complain there is of course a reason that they are busy even though it is a week night…
Went here for the first time and it was a nice clean casual restaurant, they have outdoor seating, unfortunately they share it with Hudson taco so its not always available but the location is absolutely gorgeous, even while sitting inside you have an amazing view of the Hudson river. The service here was excellent and all staff were very nice and aware of their tables. I ordered meatball sliders and the meatballs were sandwiched between a garlic knot, it was SO good! Will definitely come back again!
The pizza is good and diverse along with squared or circle style pizza. Its more expensive then usual pizza but the quality makes up for that. All in all a good place to order from once in a while.
This used to be a great place to sit and eat pizza outside with the dog, but ever since they opened their new cash cow next door, all the outdoor seating is off limits to pizza shop customers even though their pet-friendly sign is still on the patio. Pizza is ok. Customer service is typical for a pizza place.
Friendly staff, the music was on point i was surprised how good the music was . Definitely good vibes nice atmosphere to enjoy food with family and or friends.
Great selection of things here!I split the chicken parm hero and spaghetti with meatballs with my friend. The hero was delicious... pretty thinly pounded cutlet on toasted bread. The meatballs were tender and spaghetti nice and al dente.Great service and in a scenic location too.
The pizza has consistently gone down hill the past year. It’s either too sloppy and soggy or in the case of today, the pizza dough was stale and hard to chew. So over this place for pizza … moving on!
Live literally up the street and pizza came cold an hour later. Called the shop and the manager didn’t know how to respond to my complaint. “Okayyyy, well you can put the pizza in the microwave to heat it up” lol ??? Unprofessional

We went there on a beautiful early Spring day. I wanted to sit near the windows which was worth the wait. Since it was a beautiful busy Sunday there was a wait for the table. The manager (I assume) was so accommodating, offering us other seating options, drinks, and ultimately putting us in the best seat in the house. We were not in any rush and we were happy to wait, but we waited very comfortably. For that alone, I would return, however the food was delicious and the service was top notch. Not to mention, the view is wonderful. I highly recommend Pizza Shop. It was an all around wonderful experience.
I always go to the pizza 🍕 shop with my friends after our fellowship and we always have a good time there. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The weight staff is always willing to put up with like 15 of us at least. We can get loud and roudy but they still love us. The food is good ( try the short rib 🍟) and the pizza is decent its a little parmigiani for me but its good I have no complaints about the pizza shop I would go there anytime actually I go there every week. 😜

My family and I love coming here. The pizza is always hot, fresh, and crispy. Tiana is a phenomenal waitress. This is easily our favorite pizza place. Being next to the Hudson River is a huge plus. Great place to walk after eating a delicious pizza dinner.

Besides the delicious pizza, coffee and deserts, the management and staff are great! Ashley helped me set up 9 deliveries two days in a row for my LPP program students. Everything was delivered on time to each location and all of my students loved their warm meals. Doing business with them has been great! Thank you to the team for helping to pull off our virtual event! I highly recommend Hudson Pizza for sit in and/or deliveries.
Gave this place a second chance but I won’t be coming back here again.First time I got take out & ordered some “HOT” Buffalo “CRISPY” wings and 3 knots. The knots were really good but the wings were AWFUL! They were on the sweeter side & they were soggy. The sauce itself was just DISGUSTING and the wings were NASTY too.Recently went in for Dine in and ordered a chicken & broccoli roll. When my order came in, I noticed it didn’t seem fresh, the garlic, cheese and parsley on top of the bread seemed very dry- it was actually one of the rolls that were out on display. Who knows how long it had been sitting there. The chicken inside was hard and dry and the cheese seemed to stick to one side of the bread like melted plastic. I would think that if someone came in for dine in, they would make their food when a customer ordered it- not half preheat something that had been sitting on display since this morning.Waitress refunded my order (she was very nice) & I got the BLT instead. However, the bacon was hard- like it had been sitting outside & it tasted old. They probably just put some pieces in the microwave & sticked them inside the sandwich.Only good thing was the AC and the friendly staff.
Food for the most part is really good but the rice balls or things like that to me are just a bit bland but it’s the perfect place to have a nice night out with the family safe clean environment

My first time here will not be my last. The manager Ashley is superb at her job as was our waitress Cristina. Both were friendly, helpful and above all professional. A great dining experience….thank you ladies. 😊
They added a local, roasted half chicken to the menu and it is extremely TASTY, fresh, and perfectly roasted with a delicious flavor from the rub they use. It was a HUGE half chicken surrounded by veggies. I will always order one of these local, roasted half chickens when I make an order from The Pizza Shop. Definitely enough for 2 and possibly 3 BIG servings. Enjoy!
Kids said it was the best pizza ever. Only complaint is that the beverages were not cold and we went on a really hot day. Staff was raly nice! Definitely recommend
Fabulous place! Fabulous service! Weve been driving by every night on our way home from Poughkeepsie for years and finally decided to go in on our day off and see what all the buzz was about. Regrets about not having done it so much sooner. Kudos to the owners for such a nice establishment. Our server, Christina, was terrific!!!
Just for a reference, Ive eaten at the restaurant at least 3 times and ordered delivery from the restaurant about 4 or 5 times. Because of all the positive reviews, Ive given this restaurant multiple chances but this restaurant has been a complete disappointment.Dine-In: First the service isnt great, almost every time i went, it took me 4 to 5 minutes to even get acknowledged by the server let alone get my order taken. Second if you order something thats not one of the pre-made pizzas, it will take a long time for you to get your food. We ordered some sandwiches with french fries and it took us almost an hour to get it. Third the foods not that good, the pizza and the sandwiches are okay at best but some of their other food is pre-frozen. My friend ordered a calzone and it seem to be heated in a microwave because it was hot on the outside but Frozen on the inside.Delivery: Delivery takes forever, every order I placed took at least an hour to get to my house, mind you I live less than a mile away from this place. Because it took so long for the food to get to my house, the food would always arrive cold.I dont know where all these positive reviews are coming from, because I have not had one positive experience with this place. There are pizzerias in Newburgh that serve better food, at a better price with better service without the pretentiousness of pretending to be an upscale restaurant.
Food was awesome. THE ENERGY WAS EXCELLENT.. Customer Service was superb. We dined in and enjoyed the delicious garlic knots. The Buffalo Wings were out of this world. The blue cheese was to die for felt like we were in Williamsburg, or a Soho vibe. The pizza was great. My grandchildren and I loved it .Well definitely be back by the end of the week.
Absolutely phenomenal pizza! Had the Margherita slice and the chicken with bacon. Both were excellent but Margherita was the clear winner. Perfect, thin, extra crunchy crust, great sauce and spectacular mozzarella. The chicken was very good as well with a generous sprinkle of bacon 🥓 and sauce

My Review is for The Pizza Shops Take Out.We order from the Pizza Shop frequently. Have to say we are yet to be disappointed. We are yet to dine in or have delivery. It is a five minute drive from where I live so we are able to pick the food up and bring it home so it is still hot.We love the Grandma Style pizzas. Our Favorite is the Notorious P.IG. Pulled Pork melted cheese caramelized Green onions, tomatoes and a yummy Tangy BBQ sauce. Second is the Buffalo Chicken. The classic tomato pie is really good too. Last time we ordered we ordered a few extras and they were also great. Our daughter ordered the Italian Sub but said it can use a lot more Dressing. That was the only complaint of the evening. So Pizza Shop if your reading. Add more Dressing to the bread. It was a little dry and not so flavorful. In spring we hope to visit the Pizza Shop and enjoy the Pizza super fresh straight from the oven and enjoy the water front view this restaurant has to offer. :)
Wow I’ve been living in Newburgh for almost year and this is the best pizza and wings I have ever ate around Orange County area ! I use to lived in nyc, great customer service. The delivery guy was awesome, i highly recommend ordering from this place.

We usually Go to Cosimo’s on Union Ave. but you can’t dine in, so We decided to Go to their other spot, The Pizza Shop. We ordered Buffalo Calamari, It was Good, a Cobbler Salad which also was Good. I ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs which was also Good, I asked for Bread and was told they only have loafs of Bread. I asked for a couple of pieces(2-3) to dip with the sauce, The waitress told Me, they said NO, I paid after, and decided I won’t be going back, what an Upset. Was looking forward for her to surprise Me, I was Surprised. Peace
The pizza is so good. It’s the best Margherita I’ve had & I’m not being generous, it’s perfect. My Uber eats order got a little messed up but between Peter & my lovely Uber eats driver going out of their way, I got my delicious food & Peter gave us free cookies which were so delicious also. I highly recommend it here. I’ve eaten at the restaurant before also & the waitresses are so nice & so is the restaurant.Thanks!
My family orders regularly from Pizza Shop for delivery. For the most part we enjoy the food. Sometimes the sauce is a bit salty like tonight’s dinner. We never ever receive napkins or eating utensils. 🤷🏽♀️
Updated my post below from a 1 star to a 5 star based on my conversation with Paul (Manager/Owner). I love pizza shop and only order pizza for myself from there so was very disappointed with my initial treatment. Upon speaking with Paul I am reassured that I’m valued as a customer and that my issue with my order was justified. Paul went above and beyond to make everything right and I’m happy...I’ll continue to eat great pizza! My brother-in-law was very relieved too because he and my sister order just as much I do or we order for both families most of the timeI’ve been ordering from here very often since it opened...my order is rarely below $100. Once in awhile I get a pizza or 2 that’s not the best but when I get 3 burnt pizza out of 5 and they tell me that’s the way they make their pizza...pizza that I’ve always ordered and know what the quality/taste should be like...and they act like I’m the one with a problem. I’m a small fish in the pond but this place of business will never get my business/money again.
Waited 45 minutes before we asked about our pizza and it was just sitting on top of the pizza oven. They insisted they didn’t forget about us. We should have had a fit and asked for a refund, but we were too tired and grumpy and just wanted to get out of there. Pizza was okay.

My fiance and I LOVE their rustica, but have enjoyed all the other veggies options weve had from the Pizza Shop. Wish theyd lower the speed limit outside cause this place is usually hopin especially on nights and weekends.
It was just ok. I stopped here after a hike because its dog friendly, it was close to where we were, and my boyfriend and I were starving. We ordered wings and rice balls to start. There was a lot of sauce on the plate, but half the wings were covered. Could they not take a few more seconds to entirely cover the wings in sauce? The rice balls were good. The service was slow and there was only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant. We were going to stay and have entrees also, but because we werent fans of the appetizers or service, we decided to go elsewhere for a full meal. The outdoor seating area is nice and so is the inside of the restaurant. It seems clean. They have dog bones for your pups outside and bring out water if your dog needs it. We couldve just gone on an off day, but I doubt well be back.
I had a super nice waitress. The pizza was alright... their pepperoni is weird. Not weird tasting. Just weird looking. The garlic knots were not that great either. The wings were good, and I think they make their own lemonade. I liked the place itself. It was nice building at a good location, but I probably wont eat here again.

Beautiful location and friendly staff but the regular cheese pizza was tough, like overworked dough and had a super cheese blended taste. I found out after it was a chain-ish type place, which makes sense. Tasted maybe like Pizzeria Uno.

Such a great spot to have decent pizza. The sandwich selection is good but the food is lacking in flavor, kinda blah. This place has the potential to become something great but in its current food iteration it is not amazing.The decor and location are great. Enjoy your food as freight trains go by and take in the mountain view that is unfortunately blocked by trees. Ok maybe its not so ideal but its still a cool looking pizza,spot.
Update your menu. Called to place a pickup order for 2 personal pizzas using the menu provided in Google Maps. I asked for 2 pies, and was told there is not Notorious P.I.G., thats on the old menu. When I mentioned I used the online menu in Google Maps, hoping shed take the hint an suggest it be updated, she simply repeated the item was on the old menu.While opening up the menu again, she asked what else I was getting as if I was somehow not ordering fast enough. Ive worked in restaurants and retail, it does take a person a bit of time to decide how they want to spend their money, especially when it comes to food, particularly pizza with preselected toppings.Just be more patient, especially knowing that I must have been disappointed that a listed menu item is no longer available.Luckily I did not order via Google Maps like I initially intended.Initial review from 3 years ago, No complaints, just a full stomach.
My favorite pizza place in Newburgh. Great fresh pizza, excellent sandwiches and amazing spaghetti and meatballs with their signature bread crumb parmesan crust.
Its hard to find good pizza up here and their pizza is good. It seems that the issue is management. Employees do not know how to set expectations for delivery. They say 45-60min but show up an hour and 45 later with cold pizza.
Good subs and pizza slices. Thin crust brick oven style pizza. Good quality ingredients and fresh made food. Chicken cutlets are actually handmade and not out of the box. Impressive selection of pies and other Italian American favorites. Service was fast and friendly. Pricing is reasonable. The building is beautiful and a former train station.
A nice take on Italian American classics, and fresh too. Environment is a nice use of the old train station and its sweeping river views. Nice selection of Italian wine by the glass. Service is prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. Various coffees and gelati to boot. Solid lunch choice.

We had a great time at the Pizza Shop. The food was awesome as always. I was just a little disappointed that they didn’t have pasta fagioli soup. When I asked the waitress when they started making soup again she said October. Funny thing, it was already October 13 and no soup. ☹️. I actually think October is a little late to start making soup in New York. It starts getting cool in late August.

Love the pizza so we decided to try the pasta tonight . Asked for cheese ravioli but with vodka sauce. Both dishes are the same price but was told there would be an up charge for changing sauces. Problem is there was 6 raviolis with hardly any sauce. Sorry but for $16 not worth it.
This is a nice little Mom & POP type of place, I always have great service & food. Sometimes I bring out of town guests here to this local little Italian food joint. It never disappoints. Everything we have had has been delicious.
We ended up at this place because Hudson Taco next door had a hour wait time. The food here was soo good! I highly recommend the loaded waffle fries and the wings. They had a nice outdoor patio overlooking the Hudson River. If you have small children they may like seeing the freight train pass by.
Outside patio is advertised as pet friendly. Went there after a long hike with my dog but we were refused service.

A wonderful place to stop in to eat they have some amazing food. The staff is very nice people. The best time to visit is the summer time you can sit outside a amazing view of the Hudson River. I give this place 5 star they have the best pizza ever 👍
Carlos is the best waiter Ive ever had. So smooth, courteous, genuine and professional. He should give server training seminars. Food is always delicious.
My experience with Pizza Shop was a confusing one. Me and my girlfriend went here looking for some lunch one weekend. We walked in to a quiet cold and spacious building, the place seemed to be busy, but no one was talking to each other and the music they had playing was on very low volume. I went up to the counter, all the food they had looked incredible, so I stood waiting for the clerk to take my order, after what felt like a long time, he took my order which went exactly like this:Me: “Hey, can I get the focaccia wrap, please?”Clerk: “Yes”Followed by 10 seconds of awkward silenceMe: “Is that okay?”Clerk: “Anything else?”Me: “No, not for me, thanks”The clerk then put my food in the oven and told me to wait, completely ignoring my girlfriend. He eventually told me the price, I paid, got my food and we left.The food was great, and if I were to return it would solely be for that reason alone, I didn’t like it here.

The gluten free pizza is excellent; as is the regular pizza. Nice waterfront location. Family size portions. No matter what you order, you will definitely get your moneys worth!

I ordered food for delivery, I was told it would be about a 45 minute wait, after an 1hr & 25 mins my food finally was delivered, my total balance came out to 12 dollars and some change I gave the delivery guy a 20, as I took my food from him he turned around and said thank you for a nice tip, mind you the timing was off, He was rude and didn’t ask me if I wanted my change he just assumed he was going to get it,I was going to tip but not much. I got over it and was great full my food came, but another issue my food was cold and fries were soggy and cold.
Went here recently on a Saturday night and the music was way too loud. Ever since Hudson Taco opened up Pizza Shop has been less pleasant.

I used to order from here literally every weekend, until the cooks got too lazy to make my order (cheese and dough). I was told the cooks dont want to make calzones because they are PRE-MADE with all the ingredients so they wont make any fresh. WHAT TYPE OF PIZZA RESTAURANT DOESNT MAKE FRESH CALZONES OR STROMBOLIS with toppings or without ricotta cheese ?!?! Their delivery times are consistently OVER AN HOUR (despite being within 5 miles from them) and the food arrives COLD. Ive personally watched the Manager pour the tip jar into the register without counting it. There is NEVER ANY PARKING. Too bad they couldnt keep up the good reputation they used to have. NOW I KNOW WHY THE RESTAURANT SECTION HAS BEEN EMPTY WHENEVER IVE GONE.
Stopped here for lunch, and it was a miss. My main course, a salad was drenched in dressing and waitress showed up way too late to correct it. Should’ve let my husband go and get her. Couldn’t eat it but was still charged for it!!!
Business i work for has ordered from this place consecutively for lunch, they can never get an order rite. Always either completely missing one of our orders or cant get a meal rite. Its not a being busy issue because ive asked the delivery guy whats going on that they cant get anything rite are they just overly busy and he goes, no were honestly not even busy rite now i dont know whats going on i mean....Im really gonna need to get my coworkers to stop ordering from this place and find a new spot because its getting ridiculous, not to mention theyre pricey. almost $10 for a small side salad with chicken.

Love the pulled pork pizza, margarita pizza and their vegetable pizzas... their cranberry walnut salad is my favorite with or without chicken.... my favorite spot in Newburgh!

One of the coolest pizza shops I have ever been to. Eat inside, take it to go or sit outside over the train tracks. Ice cream, beer and an awesome selection of brick oven pizzas. I love the meatball sliders with a slice of mozzarella between two halves of jumbo garlic knots.
Pizza dough is just nice! Thin how it should beOne of the best sandwiches around! That bread is always baked fresh! Chicken house special and the philly both in house bread!!Armenian pizza is a personal fav!
Kids loved it... actually demanded it. Crispy Boneless Wings BBQ and Mozzarella Bombs among others!
The menu is excellent. Amongst a sea of pizzerias, this place makes some of my favorite pizza.

Pizza was great, we had salami pinwheel, cheese slice, vegetable slice and chicken stromboli. The marinara sauce was good. The chocolate chip cookies were also yummy.
We stopped here on the way to points north. What a find! The rice ball appetizer is the right amount of crunch and creamy ricotta. The house salad is a pleasant intense creamy garlic dressing over crunchy lettuce, carrot, cucumber and red pepper. The vodka sauce pizza has a well baked crispy crust topped with a sauce that tastes like well seasoned tomato and cheese that is flavorful in just the right amount. Yum!
A wonderful place for supper with a good eclectic beer selection and awesome service. Pizza and boneless wings were good. Its the best place on riverfront - even if its not exactly on the water.
I love the pizza shop. And all the history behind the building. I was the super / GC.who built the train station into the pizza shop. through out all the years it has been open now. Pretty good pizza. Some pretty interesting pies. Try the Notorious P.I.G. though I think they left it in too long and the edges got burnt- that citrus chipotle sauce is on point! The service is good too.

Went in to order pizza , all employees to busy chatting with each other and on their cell phones. Waited in front of cash register for 2 minutes no one noticed- even tho 4 employees in front of me. Sat down for 5 again no one approached us .. so we left. Bad experience and bad service

The Boom Room pizza was excellent. It was made with meaty mushrooms, ricotta, fontina, provolone and mozzarella on a thin crisp crust. I will be back.

I tried their margarita square slice and it was so good. I could taste the tomatoes, basil and cheese, nothing was overpowering. It was perfect.

Place is nice but small. Parking is on river road so not my spots. You could always park in the gullys parking lot and walk up if river road is full but that would be far. Food is very good and the price is very reasonable.

2021-12-24I eat at the Pizza Shop all the time, so this is the first time that I was upset. My daughter and I ordered almost the same thing cheesesteaks. It originally comes with mushrooms caramelized onions and bell peppers. I only wanted meat onions and cheese. I received a onion sandwich, once I picked onion out and had a barely any meat. I called to complain and the manager was rude in my opinion. He said that I Customize the sandwich which I didnt I just didnt want mushrooms or bell peppers so I feel like they added more onions. He said I would have to pay for a whole new sandwich. We went back and forth which we should have not at the end of the call he said we will send you another one and hung up on me.

2022-05-31Bee sting pizza was awesome! The crust was incredible, crisp and tasty, and the flavors spot on. Gorgonzola walnut salad had lovely fresh lettuce with delightful toppings. Highly recommend. Favorite meal of our trip (and we had some good ones!)

2022-02-14My boyfriend and I have gotten food from here several times. We are huge fans of their square pies. I personally reccomend their vodka and margarita pies. Absolutely phenomenal seasoning. Youre definitely getting what you pay for and its worth it. The staff, in our experience, has been nothing but polite and respectful. Absolutely recommend their food.

2021-01-11One of the best pizza stores around. Enjoyed their square thin crust pizza -- Margherita Pizza with fresh Mozzarella, Boom Room Pizza with roasted 🍄 . Crispy, cheesy, but juicy with mouth full of fresh Mozzarella. Tasted fresh and delicious!!! Excellent Pizza. I used to live in Brooklyn, NY. This can be compared with authentic thin crust Brooklyn pizza. A+. Highly recommend. For the best taste, eat pizza on site right after it is served.

2022-06-05I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza never asked for pork on it, mind you Im a new customer. So I just call and order a simple buffalo pizza I got it with onions bacon and sauce on it. No one asked me if I wanted this or asked if I knew this came with added items(every place I know asks this.) I called and told them we cant eat pork so this pizza cannot be eaten they just shrugged it off and said we cant do anything for you. Needless to say I spent over 60 here too
