Dropped off a great customer who uses our limousine service from south jersey and she recomend pizza wagon. So bought 2 Sicilian and 3 plan slice and being a ninja turtle originally from Yonkers, I bit into a hot slice driving and almost crashed. Lol Anyway pizza was slamming, highly recomend going there. When in Brooklyn this is my spot.
Still the best pizza in the neighborhood!! Even during the pandemic. The counter and tables are always clean. They have a full supply of napkins for my messy kids!! The prices are still good and the staff is always friendly polite and have a great sense of humor!! Ive been a customer since the age of four! My kids love the Sicilian squares. We order the Regular + Sicilian pies for all their Birthday parties!!!
The pizza itself is ok, wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza in Brooklyn, but gets the job done. I’ve gone here twice, and both times the guys there have been rude with not the greatest customer service. I don’t understand the attitude. I don’t plan on coming back here again. Also, their menu design could be better.
Employees have a very nasty attitude, especially delivery people. They have a high rating on google and have been in the neighborhood for a long time, so they don’t care if they treat people badly as long as they make $$$. Pizza is good but there are many other places nearby where you can get good pizza and BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE
Glad to see it still busy 24/7 even during a pandemic. Some tips for new customers:Make it easier for yourself and the staff by ordering with what you want to buy already in mind. Some get snappy if you waste their time (and for good reason). When you go to pizza wagon, you’re asking for the menu they‘re known for, so skip the customization (this isn’t a Domino’s).Don’t be entitled, it won’t get you anywhere.Otherwise, the staff are nice as long as you’re respectable.
This is a surprising better than average New York Slice. Its a great place to grab something quick. The cheese has a bit of stringiness to it as good fresh mozzarella has. The underbelly of the pizza has a good amount of char. The tomato sauce is not watery and has a decent amount of flavor.
Theres a good reason why this shop has been around for so many years. They have consistently served great pizza to everyone in the community. Its always worth taking the trip and supporting local businesses like this one. Hopefully well be able to enjoy this pizza for many years.
!Rudest men I ever encountered work here behind the counter. What a disgrace. Take business else where (roccos is up the street). Where you can eat w. dignity without being disrespected for no reason & actually have a good experience all around. These men need to be addressed immediately. Wonder how theyd like theyre family members being treated this way when they go out & spend money in a food establishment....they are making Hispanics look very bad when usually Hispanics are very respectful, especially at work, but not here !! They found the rudest ones & employed em here. Not cute they should watch how they treat people before they regret it!
Use to love this place, but owner allows kids from Fort Hamilton take over the place and eat subway sandwiches,McDonalds, etc while 1 kid is eating pizza and girl is rolling a joint, has no regards for the old people who kept this pizza place in business, will never go there again, so disrespected.
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The cozy location, old school aesthetic, and aroma of pizza that hits you from the street instant takes me back to my childhood. Whenever friends and family visit me and say they want real Brooklyn pizza, this is where I take them and they’ve all been thrilled.
Food is good don’t get me wrong but your employees are scumbags and have the nastiest attitude I give you $40 for a pie and some slices and ask for crushed peppers they acted as if I asked him for a pot of gold. You telling me an establishment has been here since the early 60s can give you crushed peppers or Parmesan cheese you got to be kidding me how about you tell your employees at customer service works?
Best pizza in the Bay Ridge area. Ive been going to this place since high school in the 70s and nothing has changed in the way they make the pizza in that time. Place is always packed and seating is at a premium as its a small place. The Sicilian pizza is my favorite. Not cheap with the cheese.
I hate giving 2 stars the pizza is fantastic! But I order delivery and the driver refuses to leave his car because hes double parked! Ive worked delivering many jobs including pizza with my own car and thats the chance you take! Ill only go and pick up or eat my pizza from them on premise!
I really want to love this place but i can’t. Not consistent. Last two times i ordered a pie it was burnt and overcooked, and i clearly told them do not burn it when i called. But when they don’t burn it the pizza tastes amazing. What a shame, so much potential in this place but very inconsistent.
I ordered a pie around 11 pm. When I went to pick up the guy was very rude and disrespectful it seemed he didn’t want to work. This happened on September 28th. I have always been there but this time was the worst experience. If you are open than you should be ready to work and give consideration to people who are giving you business. He treated very badly and was talking to his co worker in Spanish. I love Spanish people and all people of color but this guy is not a good employee for pizza wagon the owner needs to teach him how to behave!!
Worst service ever. Baaaaaaad attitude from the guys upfront. Pizza is not alll that, the only reason I came here was cause it was the 4th of July and all famous pizza places were closed. I gave it a try and I’ll give them a big F for there baaad attitude and service by the guys upfront.
Been getting pizza from there for years. Usually good, except yesterday. I was given a pie that was pre cooked, they put on sauce and cheese and heated up. Tasted like cardboard. Manager said we were busy and sometimes it happens. He did the right thing and sent me a new pie that wasn’t pre cooked.
I ordered a fresh pie. The man said 10 mins I got there in 5. He puts the whole pie that was already sitting out back in the oven. He flat out told me he is NOT making a fresh pie since that one was being heated up. They have fallen off. The taste is very oily and taste old. I have been a customer since the 90s. I will NEVER eat there again! Annnddd I am telling all my friends to eat elsewhere too
Been ordering here for years. Today we called in an order for a large pie. they asked if we want toppings. we asked what did they have available. he mentioned only 3 toppings and then said hurry up to us on the phone. ...Incredibly rude told us to hurry up on the phone while figuring out an order.Sunday May 3rd 2020 rip pizza wagon nonnos it is
Reliable pizza with no-frills service. Decor needs updating but it seems nobody cares about that if pizza remains the same. Their menu hasnt changed, ever. All they serve are fountain sodas, if thats your thing. In the late evenings, they open the side windows to offer slices for the midnight munchers, however be aware there are nights where they do actually close.
DISGUSTING!Went in about to order a pizza when i see some coins fall out of the guy at front (who is taking orders and getting the money from customer) and land on the pizza. He picks them up with his metal spatula thingy and throws them aside and continues to take orders. Didnt throw away the slice it landed on, just served it to the next customer. If they are willing to do that in front of customers, god knows what they do behind closed doors.
I’m changing my rating from one star because I experienced the worst customer service on the phone. I’ve literally been coming to pizza wagon for my whole life.I called pizza wagon 7 pm on a Sunday. I wanted something a little different from what I usually order so I asked the guy what toppings they have He was like “ma’am we have mushroom pepperoni and pepper hurry up we busy” I’m actually fully disgusted he couldn’t take a min to take my order so I hung up and I will never ever step foot in pizza wagon ever again. It’s the principal of taking the time to help a paying customer who asked a simple question. And I get it people get busy but I just wanted to know what toppings they had but instead he only told me 1/3 of the options they had and on top of that he was hellaaa rude.
Just straight rude honestly. This has been my 3rd time going (in most recent months) because I was convinced it was in my head. Well, it wasnt. Requested a nice cheesy slice from the pan and the guy says that pie is reserved, asked for a slice from the other pan and he said everything is reserved for pick up or delivery so.... Does that mean no more slices for the night, it was only 6:12 on a Friday??? Another time I requested a sheet of tissue paper referring to the wax paper (simple fumble in my head) After a 3rd time requesting the guy yells and responds with an attitude saying you dont see the words right here, its not tissue paper its WAX... WAX. Third time I asked several times for parmesan and oregano waiting around thinking maybe its on the table, maybe I overlooked it, and then I get a response from 1 of the guys youre in the way move move, go over there. I mean, how many more chances can I give them to talk to me like Im still a student walking there after school? Im damn near 30 and you talk to your customers like this!?!!?!? I know most people love pizza wagon but its about time that I PERSONALLY stop going. And just to be clear, if it were just the service I would have indicated such, but in the 14 years I have been going to pizza wagon, I have never felt like it was the most bestest ever. It was truly just OK pizza. So definitely not worth the poor service. And definitely worth the 1 star in combination with taste quality and service.
Horrible experience. No other customers in line so as we walked up to the window and they refused to give us a menu. It was 1 hour before closing and the man said what you see is all you can order. We asked what the two pizzas were and he said its what youre looking at. I have no idea why he didnt want to serve us but well never give him an opportunity to again.
Want a quick slice, or an iconic taste of old-school Brooklyn, then definitely make a stop here. The Sicilians (square) are the way to go if you want the best in the city, but the slices are just as good. Add a little garlic powder and its like magic.... something special happens and the cheese tastes almost buttery..mmmmm
Been coming here since i was a kid! One of the absolute best squares you can buy! My mouth waters everytime Im back in Brooklyn, although everything here is great! You dont last 50 years selling basically squares and rounds unless you have the goods! Always busy but service is prompt and everyone is always courteous! Truly takes me back to my childhood every time!
I order delivery and they say 45 minutes. An hour in and no sign of the pizza. I call just to check if the order has left and the guy on the phone was so rude, he screamed WE SAID 45 MINUTES. YOU ALREADY CALLED AND WE SAID 45 MINUTES. WE ARE BUSY So I said that this is the first Ive called since placing the order and its been over an hour. He cuts me off and says I DONT BELIEVE YOU. Im like wow.....cancel the order then. Literally worst customer service ever....I do not recommend this place.
OPEN LATE! Which is good thing when youre just leaving the bars or coming home late from work. This place seems to be open and ready to dish out some no so special slices. I do have to say... nothing about this place changed since I was a kid except for the prices... which isnt too bad today.

2022-04-05Really delicious New York pizza, first time going there in twenty years and it was still just as amazing! Nice thin crust, but not too thin.

2021-07-25Pizza here will always so fresh and when you see the whole pizza just out of the oven, the cheese on the top is still melting, and smell so good, you just cant resist to make an order.$3 for a slice of traditional cheese on top is no worry option. I think it is a good way to eat it one after one, it is not necessary ordered a lot once, since the still melting cheese is so incredible, so it worth to pay again and again.

2022-02-09The Pizza is great, but please start using a paper on top of plates to avoid the pizza oil from going through the plate. I ruined my sweater, bc I realized the pizza oil went through the paper plate and onto my expensive light gray sweater while eating the pizza in my car. I poured thousands into this business (I’m one of their best costumers), so it’s the least they can do. Here’s photos that I took to show you what I mean (the 3rd photo is from Gino’s on 75th who use those papers):

2022-03-30Great place with history. Seating usually available inside, or a couple of standing only tables outside if you prefer. Order inside, or curbside at the window when the seasons permit. Great slices and even better squares. The real kicker is that the close at one....thats ONE AM!! I dont think there is any other Bay Ridge pizzeria than can claim that. Go the now! Or later. Or even much later.

2022-03-20I grew up eating from Pizza Wagon and Rocco’s on 5th avenue. Once the Rocco brothers sold their pizzeria that their father started (I knew them all very well), I became a regular at Pizza Wagon. The pizza is great and one of the best in Bay Ridge, but many of the workers are nasty. They’re very impatient and aren’t respectful of any questions or concerns. If they get your order wrong it’s your fault, not theirs. Whatever happened to simple manners and decency? I only see them at their best behavior when the owner is around. The only person I can blame, though, is the owner because he should be aware of his workers. Mancini’s Wood-Fired Pizza that opened close by recently is becoming my go-to. The owners are Albanian, but their Italian cuisine and pizza are great.

2022-05-28Really good good pizza, I rarely eat the crust of the pizza cause some places usually burn them or toast them but this was amazing. Run by Latinos, love the way they make they’re pizza.
