Love this gym. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the place is always clean, and theyre diligently practicing social distancing which I greatly appreciate. I just wish PF would add classes to all of their locations - but thats a corporate decision.
Im a member, everythings good about the gym except the clocks. Theres two wall clocks that have not been working for 2-3 months now. Please fix them!Edit: I got an email from the manager explaining they will fix the clocks. Thank you
My original membership lies with the new rochelle location and my credit card is on file with them. Today i worked out at the peekskill location where i found out they cannot access my card to pay for water, muscle milk etc etc! They should share the database especially since it’s under the same umbrella. For 20$ bucks a month you get what you pay for, overall decent spot, deff not an equinox but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

Very clean and open from 5 am to 10 pm most days. Every other treadmill, eliptical, etc closed for social distancing. Usually busy, but I havent had to wait to use the equipment. Overall a good experience, and nice gym.
Typical lame PF but good in a jam...should not be your only gym membership...love how someone mentions clocks havent worked for months and PF replies with tell the manager 😂😂😂...legend
Faith and Versace were Extremely helpful and courteous and knowledgeable! Every night I come, they’re warm and welcoming. I always see them engaging with everyone and having fun! I love this place
I get in, get my workout and leave. Its never really crowded and most patrons adhere to the rules. I dont really interact with the staff and its mostly clean so no complains really.

I work out regularly at planet fitness, mostly for its convenience and low membership fee (its only $10 per month for the basic plan). Its kept clean, they have a decent range of machines and free weights as well. They offer perks like hydro massage, sunless tanning, personal training and the ability to bring a guest included with the black (premium) membership. All types work out here, including some kids and older folks, so this might not be the best choice for die hard iron pumpers. It does the job for me. Recommended for a basic daily workout.

YOU WILL GET BETTER SERVICE FOR SAME PRICE OR LESS.I had been going to this gym for more than 1 year and starting to not like this gym anymore. I will cancel my membership and go to others near by. Its crowded, not clean, staff has attitude, showers stink, not enough mats, place for stretching is limited. Management only cares about getting more member signups. People do not clean equipment and lot of health concerns. For 22$ black membership you can get better service from other gyms near by.
Obviously, their equipment is limited and theres a cap limit when it comes to the free weights (60 unfortunately), but if youre clever and knowledgeable enough about resistance training, you can get a solid workout in despite the fact that they lean heavily with machines. The equipment there is in solid shape, its spacious, and the people who work there are very friendly and chill. The people who go there are generally friendly as well. Cant really complain when its $10. Very good value all things considered. It can get packed during the weekdays, but weekends theres far less people for those concerned about too much traffic.
Join with $0 down!. That was their marketing strategy on September first week and I went to the Gym and took the membership. After filling out the membership form on their tablet, I found a $5.99 fee and I asked the receptionist about the fee and he called the manager and the manager told that I wont be charged the monthly fee of $22.99 (I took PF Black membership) for September and that $5.99 is the only fee i need to pay this month. But right after a week they charged $22.99 from my checking account. See, I dont have any problem paying any fee but if they offer something, they have to keep the promise, otherwise people will have to write these type of low rate reviews.
Cheap, clean, secure and well equipped. Free trainers (by appt) and classes(sign up). Machines and free weights. Tanning booth. No pool. Sometimes quite noisy. Lots of parking. Sometimes there is a wait for a machine but no waiting for cycles, ellipticals or stair steppers. People are friendly. No hassle atmosphere. Well equipped and clean locker rooms. Ambient music us real loud.
Excellent place to go get your physical health in order. Polite respectful staff. Safe clean environment. Whether Im alone or with a friend the vibes are always positive there which allows you to feel really comfortable and motivated. This time next year I plan to have a couple of clients to train as a second job thanks to PF inspiring me so😉
Ok, so apparently you cant express your opinion towards the staff in this Planet Fitness. If you so much as press the red buttons on the How was your visit stand. Youll get banned from all of their establishments. This is an injustice towards me the customer. I thought I signed up for a Judgement Free Zone but if you so much as dislike your visit, they label you as a Lunk and bann you from their gyms. How unprofessional and rude they were. They even made up lies on trying to ask me what was wrong. when they did no such thing. So in the end. Planet Fitness Corporate was no help at all and they thought it was best to cancel my membership to increase their pay and because they felt harassed when I pressed the red button. Im glad Im no longer apart of this childish gym anymore. They cant even take the time of day to help their customers. Theyre just too busy stuffing their pockets with our money to care.
Lots of elipticals, treadmills and cycles. Everything else comes pretty much in pairs so there may be a wait for the machine you want. It has become a late night hangout for young adults who can get a little rowdy. The staff seems acquainted with them and does nothing. Shirts off, play boxing, sitting all over machines they arent using and get an attitude when asked to move.
Simple and clean is all I need at my gym and this location proves it. They have all the neccesary equipment for the casual gym attendee. Free wifi for all us listenting to our jams. No bulging screaming body builders distracting you from your workout. the bathroooms are always tidy and clean. They do not provide towels but for what you are paying for you are in no room to complain. just bring your own.
My home gym! Nice atmosphere, friendly personnel, plenty of cardio machines, Nautilus, free weights, hydro message bed, massage chairs... And plenty of TV screensl Oh, by the way, did I mention it was affordable? Cant go wrong with this one.
Its easy, its clean mostly the staff is friendly. I dont use a credit card and I was threatened that if I didnt back up my checking account with a credit card that they would terminate my membership. Called the manager Christina, who was very lovely, after dealing with an idiot night manager named Mike who told me that if I dont give a credit card number that this would be my last day there...idiot. She addressed my situation and apologized and assured me that this would not happen again. Imagine people who cant cancel and this guy telling me this would be my last day there. Almost joined Retro but it is just a bit too far out...
Good gym not too crowded during the week.
People are coming in and taking their mask off and now staff is telling you to download the app or access will be denied because you need to fill out a COVID assessment. Customer should not be forced to download app. I will cancel my membership
Although I am member of this Planet Fitness, it is much smaller with far less equipment than other PFs. The first 3 days of the week it can be crowed, but that is the PF model : way over sell the memberships, and make it difficult for people to end those memberships (they really know how to endear themselves to their clientele). In this PF there are only about 1/4th as many free weights as are available in other locations I have worked out in. And, to make matters worse, the attendants ignore those members who carry off these free weights to other locations in the gym and hog them there. There rules addressing this misuse are framed and hanging on the wall where the free weights are racked. The attendants, however, although asked to address the matter, do not. The result of this is that people coming to use the free weights find that many of them are missing. You can get a workout here if you are persistent and patient and willing to be flexible in the order of your exercises, but it can be a challenge. And, to add to that challenges are the many members who are fixated on their phones, texting, etc. completely oblivious that others are waiting to use the equipment. I will be leaving the area in about a year—can’t wait to get out of this Planet Fitness.
What a Dump! Not for serious athletes or people who are intolerant of a gym that really blows. It can get pretty scary in there.Kate K. is dead on. I have trained on and off in normal gyms most of my life. Planet F up cannot be meant for serious training because, they have neither the equipment, nor the infrastructure, Should I have to wait 10 minutes for a flabby lady who is barely moving on an inner thigh machine, or some nancy-pants taking a half hour to bench 100# 3 sets?They let any one come in and take up space, regardless of their experience in a gym. Such inexperience is an absolute hazard to other athletes. Such people should have to go into a remedial gym before they can step up to a gym with machines and free weights.As Kate says, there is always a contingency of sweaty animals commandeering and sequestering the good equipment. Naturally, they dont provide hand sanitizer to wipe the slimy residue transferred to your skin from unsanitary equipment.Dont go for the tanners! they are just light booths where you wouldnt get a tan if you hibernated there for 6 months. I was stupid enough to add on $10 a month for them. When I asked to back them out, the manager said he would charge me $39 to change the membership. This is the same manager who refused to rebate by annual membership, even thought I havent been there for months.Also beware: they tried to rip me off by reupping me without my consent, If you read the TOS closely, you will see that the word authorized is only used in the context of monthly. For annual, it says we will bill you, not that you authorize anything. Thus they have no right to do it.Whats the only cool thing about Planet Fitness? The free mini tootsie rolls.
Eldon pwwka graham Stop crying there not a gym there planet fitness lol so ofcourse its not for serious training and for 20-10 a month i think its pretty worth it where else you finding a place to workout for that price? geez ppl can be so ungrateful. Their staff is pretty cool and let you get away with some things sometimes. They recently renovated and the place is looking good. But yea it can get pretty crowded that sucks
Called to cancel after months of non-use, having moved away. Called the same place that I applied, and was told rather curtly that corporate policy was that I had to come to the gym personally. Ridiculously transparent: they want to make it hard to get out. This review is the manifestation of the ill-will they created. I suspect this will cost them much more than the $30 I was trying to save. Fools.

Nice place if you like small portions with no flavor at all. The pizza is way better than Nonnas but not comparable to an actual joint.

2021-10-10I would like to adress how difficult it was for be to get a subscription. First, they request access to your bank account information. Why should anyone give access to personal information. Woudnt it be more simple to just request a CC?Customer service was good. It is a good gym overall. Now, If a person who does not have a bank account in the USA, then it will be imposible to get registered with at this gym.For this reason I rated it with 2 stars.

2022-03-29My experience was just odd. I had interviews with them and it couldn’t have gone any better. Was introduced to people, laughed, was basically given the job and was ready to start. We clicked on the spot. Out of the blue I got ghosted and they decided to go with other candidates. Pretty sure if I didn’t try to get a hold of them they would’ve said nothing. Wasn’t given a reason, just pure business. In my opinion pretty unprofessional and not really a good look for the company. Was led on in a sense. I’ve had a couple weird experiences with trying to work at gyms the past couple weeks, a lot of head scratching. I’d say if you want to work here just keep your awareness up, you can do everything right & it wouldn’t be enough. The universe has a plan for us all, for me it wasn’t at planet fitness so I’m excited to see what will unfold & what new opportunities arise. All love, on to the next!Dylan

2022-03-24This is a good planet fitness except for two things one being that the stretching area for the mats is tiny. Other than that the showers take forever to warm up. The staff is courteous and friendly.

2021-12-07It is too crowded. The equipment I want to use is never available. The place is darkly lit. Not sure if they need new lightbulbs or if its on purpose. Their paper towel machines are always empty.I canceled after not going for 5-6 months, and they wouldnt refund the annual fee I was charged a few days prior to cancelling.It was difficult to cancel. They required me to come in. Not sure why they couldnt verify my information over the phone. The only reason why I can think this rule exists is to make it hard for people to leave.Only pro is the price, but for 10 bucks, expect the place to be packed.

2021-12-08Can never get a bench same people hog the benches everyday for hours bringing the yoga mats over there and the dumbbells. What happened to no dewrags and tank tops ! Small not enough equipment worst planet fitness ever been to.

2021-12-17I sincerely request people to find alternative Gym, even if it means to pay few dollars more. That money will be well spent elsewhere. This place is packed with people. Not safe in Covid rise going around. I see many not wearing Mask though there is new NY state law. Restrooms are horrible. People keep using equipment and sometimes need waiting. Think about it. Do we need all these problems ?.

2021-09-03Nice gym. Good staff. Great WiFi. Good facilities. Bathroom, changing area, showers. Clean.There is a lack of open space for stretching, though. Seems like an oversight. You have to pretty much choose between blocking doorways or access to equipment to lay down a yoga mat.

2021-06-07The staff at this gym are super friendly, and this review isnt reflective of them. Here are my issues with this PF:- The lighting is awful. It just feels depressing in there. I understand as a franchise theyre probably limited in their ability to control this.- The paper towel/cleanser situation is abysmal and frustrating. If you care about your equipment being clean, I wouldnt feel super comfortable on a lot of the machines here for the simple fact that the paper towel supply can be so inconsistent.- Its not the cleanest. Maybe Snap Fitness in Tarrytown spoiled me, but this PF just feels a little dingy.- Standard PF complaints- weights not heavy enough, no free bar, smith machines always occupied, etc.And that is my feedback. Take it at your own risk.
