Jera, the shop owner, is both extremely knowledgeable and incredibly sweet. As a plant enthusiast, I am confident when I say this has to be one of the best plant stores in NYC. The selection is immaculate, with all of the exotic plants in perfect condition. This store is full of plants - and love!! The “free plant advice” is top tier, and Jera’s wonderful personality is the cherry on top. Jera - thank you so much for the sage advice and umbrella tree!

There is also a huge price range, with something for every budget.The owner is always open to chatting about the plants, helping you find the best plant for your needs and space, and providing helpful guidance so you know exactly what to do when you get your plant home. They also carry tons of beautiful planter options as well as fun gifts for your favorite plant enthusiast. Their online store is great for shipping outside of NY.I have gifted several plants from Plant Corner, for birthdays and host/hostess gifts - they provide so much joy compared to the short term impact of something like a bottle of wine or flowers. Each of my recipients continues to love their plants!And if you need one more reason to shop here, how great is it to support a local, female minority owned shop, who is actively giving back to neighbors and the local community? Amazing plant enthusiast owned store. I visited this place seeing others mentioning on social media within the local plant communities. The store is not big but full of treasures. All plants are well taken care of there (you know you are at a great plant place when felt uncomfortably hot and humid :) The owner is knowledgeable and love chatting about plants. She literally told me to wait to get a plant because it is too cold outside if I dont have a car - that is putting plant first before profit. Support these local business where there is passions to the business.
Great experience buying plants and getting one repotted. They have a nice selection, friendly staff, and great expertise and advice on plant care, plant type recommendations to meet your interests and home needs, and the store itself is lovely. The prices are also great, not terribly overpriced like many other stores that sell plants. Highly recommended!My ponytail palm here looks much happier already after being repotted in a larger pot and with looser soil. 🪴
As soon as I entered the store I felt like in a small forest! I haven’t seen so many beautiful and exotic plants! You will find a large variety of plants! Love it!
The plants here all look very healthy and well taken care of. You feel the humidity and the breeze as soon as you walk in the store! Found two of my wishlist plant here that I couldn’t resist taking home. They look gorgeous and happy!
I love that I live two blocks away from this little store, though even I were farther it would still be worth going out of my way. Theres a lot of information out there on the internet but for an amateur plant owner like me, sometimes its really nice just to have a person to walk me through it all and Jira is super, super nice and is always happy to give advice or help me figure out how my plants are doing when I bring them into the store.. Especially now in peak January winter bleakness, Plant Corner has a ton of well-tended plants that make it like a little oasis in the middle of the avenue...makes it feel like the NY experience of having your own local small business to support. Definitely worth checking out!
This is my absolute favorite weekend spot! Jira is the sweetest, and her plants are so well taken care of. There is a wide range of plants, from common household plants to more exotic and rare varieties - so there is a lot of range in the pricing as well! Great place for gifts, niche plant supplies, and other accessories that come from local, small businesses. If you love plants, and you want to support small, women-owned businesses, then this is the place to go!
This is a beautiful store in a lovely townhouse, with an unbelievable selection. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and is clearly passionate about plants. Shes brought a unique plant store to NYC, one that will surely become a destination spot. So many options in one place - from starter plants to colorful houseplants to rare options from around the world. The store feels less cramped than most, and there are plans to incorporate the rear outdoor space as well. Awesome store. Cant wait to visit again!

Besides the immaculate vibes and welcoming, peaceful atmosphere, Jira has an incredible selection of high quality plants for the casual plant parent or the avid collector! This store is where I discovered my love of rare plants, and I can always depend on Plant Corner for a good variety and high quality of plants, excellent advice and care tips, and the most lovely company and conversation. Jira has become more than just my plant lady, she has become a dear friend, and I cant wait to see her business grow and flourish!
What an absolutely stunning shop and experience. From the moment you step in, you’re instantly transported from the concrete streets to a mystical jungle. Even if you’re not a plant person, definitely drop by to just get a breath of fresh air from the city grind.

2022-02-21This little shop has my heart. The owner is always willing to answer questions, make suggestions, and just have a laugh. I wouldnt call myself the most experienced plant parent but I have been learning a lot in the last few years. Every plants purchased (which is a lot and some being quite pricey) have thrived once bringing it into my home. The store has an amazing assortment of rare, uncommon, and common plants. There is also a great collection of pots and accessories by local artists/small businesses. Its my happy place. Thanks for great service each and every time. See you soon!

2022-02-09Going to Plant Corner is always a delight. There’s such a huge variety of common and rare plants, they’re all are in impressively good condition, and Jira, the owner, is so kind and knowledgeable and takes such good care of the plants. It’s rare to find a plant shop where it doesn’t feel like the plants are just commodities being turned over from the greenhouses and kept just alive enough to be sold. The aesthetic in this shop is also impeccable!

2022-04-03Plant Corner has probably taken 1st place in my heart as my favorite plant shop. I’ve explored nurseries, plant shops, and big box stores all over nyc and westchester, and plant corner has one of the most diverse selection of rare plants, among more common houseplants :) I love how there’s always something new on a regular basis and surprises with every visit. What I love most about the store is the opportunity to get baby rare plants for more affordable prices (compared to large established plants), as well as cuttings that Jira propagates on her own. Overall the prices here are very fair. They’re not big box dirt cheap, but also not over the top/hiked. I would describe it as typical NYC prices, and likely cheaper or same value as what you’d find online - with the added benefit that these plants are already acclimated to NY weather (vs coming from hot and humid places like FL which risks shock). All the plants are very healthy and has been in Jira’s care before she sells them to new homes! This ensures that there are good roots and growth. The first few plants I bought here were doing so well after bringing them home that I had to go back and entrust my investment with more plants!Some plants that I’ve gotten at nurseries go through shock when they get to my apartment, I assume because humidity and temps are just way too different. But I feel that plants coming from Plant Corner won’t die on me as easily. Jira is also very knowledgeable about plants and offers great advice. They also carry many planters, soil mixes, plant food, etc!

So nice to see a shop where the plants are so well cared for and not just somewhere to push out plants before they die or rot.Great selection of rare plants and honestly price is extremely fair, especially for a brick and mortar shop and the size of the plants. Rare syngoniums and more common houseplants are priced incredibly well.Shop owner is super nice and knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. She is also very ethical on sales and transparency and cares about her customers.Definitely worth the trip even just to awe at the collection in the back. Dont miss the baby plant section too for some great deals and the take/leave a cutting area!

2022-01-10This is my most favorite place to shop. Its like being in the Garden of Eden, beautiful and peaceful. If I could buy plants every single day I would definitely buy them from here. The owner is an amazing, caring and passionate woman. Shes extremely helpful and will give you great tips on plant care and information. Prices are amazing as well. As well they also sell pots, grow lights, even jewelry and more accessories.If you are a plant lover you definitely need to stop by, you wont regret it!

2022-07-18Absolutely amazing plant shop!! I really can’t wait to go back! Truly unique and filled with so many rare and special plants! You can really tell that they are loved and well taken care of, the plants all look so healthy and happy. The owner was very lovely to chat with, she is so knowledgeable and gave me a lot of great tips. The shop itself is adorable, it’s in a great neighborhood with so many amazing restaurants to eat after you’re done plant shopping!

2022-02-18What a lovely lush corner in this NYC concrete jungle! When I first walked in I was immediately welcomed not only by all of the beautiful plants in every corner of the shop but also by the lovely owner who was so very helpful. She was able to answer all of the questions I had about what would be the best plant for me in my living space. When I looked around there were all types of plants from the most common to a wall of exotic plants I never even heard of. I left the store with a well packed pretty new plant and I totally plan to come back again since its just around the corner. Thank you!!

2022-02-18Purchased a Philodendron Pastazanum on Feb 12. These photos were taken 3 days later on Feb 15. I’m not a novice plant parent - they don’t deteriorate this quickly unless there’s already something terribly wrong with them. And no (despite the excuse/unwarranted blame given by the owner), spending 5 minutes outside wouldn’t cause this level of decay. If that’s the case, she should cease doing business in the winter. Avoid this place. Oh and by the way, if the owner is blaming the cold on Saturday then I assume every other customer who left that store with a plant also saw their plants decay (which I doubt). Stop the gaslighting.

2022-05-11Absolutely wonderful local plant shop with wide variety to meet the wants of new plant lovers to experienced plant people!Such a welcoming environment. The owner is wonderful and one of my favorite things about Plant Corner is that they support a ton of local businesses, especially woman, BIPOC owned businesses. Love to see local businesses supporting each other and woman supporting woman! I will definitely be back!Really looking Forward to the “For the Love of Harlem” event May 21-22! Can’t wait to check out the other events they offer as well.P.S: Their loyalty program is an added bonus 🤗
