Platos Closet in other cities:
Awful experience! This place literally wasted my entire day. Told me it will be a 3 hour wait to go through clothes.. ok, no problem.. leave, come back havent touched my bags... then when I questioned them about bags they couldnt find them... after oh almost 6 hours of their craziness Im told theyd offer me less than 10.00.. because literally I have no idea.. I was offering brand new, tags on etc. It was obvious they literally didnt look through what I had to offer. Platos loss ! Employees also shouldnt lie and say your garments were stained.. I wouldnt waste my day trying to sell stained clothing. . No, you just didnt take the time to look. It was very clear employees at this location were overwhelmed...
I brought some clothes in about twenty minutes after they opened, store was pretty much empty. The employee told me it would be a 3 hour wait just to tell me they could give me under $10 when I came back hours later. Best part was seeing all the clothes from 2007 spread across the sales floor but then tell you yours are “out of style” and “not made in the last 2 years” yeah well neither is that Abercrombie t shirt with a stain on it. Can’t wait til they go out of business
Plato’s Closet is a good way to get second hand clothes. It may be more costly than a goodwill, but the clothes have been gone through by someone else so they are almost like new when you purchase them. The store is organized by type, size, and color, so it’s easy to find what you are looking for. I usually always find something cute at a reasonable price when I go.
Today was my first experience selling at Platos Closet. I took in a bag of about 20x midrange brand items in very good, or excellent condition (Levi’s, Timberland, Zara, etc). They took 10/20 items, politely explained the reasoning behind the items they declined, and offered me $35. As someone who has bought and sold vintage for years, that is a fair price in a retail resale setting. I see some reviewers complaining that they were not offered enough for the items and others complaining that the shopping prices are too high. How can a company pay out large amounts to sellers, then offer buyers super low prices and still afford to pay the 6+ employees I saw working hard to keep the store clean and organized? That doesn’t make any sense. My only qualm with my experience was the almost hour long wait for bag processing. With COVID, I don’t like to hang around inside for long periods. All in all, though, a positive experience and I would sell to them again.
**buyer review**I recently visited Plato’s closet at the Clifton Park location and found it to be clean and very well organized. My opinions are mixed on this store. Most items seemed to be clean and in great condition, yet the prices seemed really high for used clothing. With the exception of jackets, you can find it all new at TJ Max or Marshall’s for the same or less. The jackets seemed a bit overpriced too and they weren’t exactly looked through with a fine tooth comb, as some of the heavy duty winter ones were missing hoods. I’ve read other reviews and the comments left by PC. I understand cooperate sets prices, but perhaps you could pitch regional pricing to them. Prices in parts of NYC are much different than in upstate NY or rural parts of CA. It makes sense to know your customer demand and charge accordingly. Overall, great selection and well organized. I might pop in again if I’m in the area, but it’s not a store I’d frequent.
Always have had a wonderful experience at this Platos Closet! They have friendly staff and great sales and clearance options as well. So many amazing brands available including PacSun, American Eagles, Nike & many more! Definitely recommend shopping here if you are looking for low prices for quality items!
I didn’t have a great experience like I thought I would. Everything in the store is in great condition and reasonably priced. When selling clothes, they will only take name brands! I had 3 garage bags full of clothes that were in good condition with no stains nor holes. I had to wait 3 hours for them to sort through everything! Unfortunately they only took 5 pieces of clothing and a name brand back pack I had. I was not pleased with my experience. They are bias and won’t take any clothes in good condition that aren’t name brand. It’s a waist of time.
I enjoy going to Plato closet Clifton Park NY and shop there at least once a week. They have a great selection of trendy clothing and accessories, moving from NYC this has been my go to stop. Prices are fair the staff rotates often but overall they are helpful and friendly.
All the clothes i buy here i wear to dinner/job interviews/parties, basically all my more important engagements. The quality is that good.My only warning is that the connection in the area is spotty at best, and over taxed by the other businesses in the area so sometimes they have to reboot the system and apply your points later, but the staff is extremely attentive and conscientious of all of their customers, and work hard to alleviate any inconveniences quickly and politely.
This place is amazing! I got a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans here for only $12! Also, the customer service was awesome!Im going to admit that I dont really get complaints about Platos Closet not buying peoples stuff. There are some reviews that say they should have bought this or that. Thats kind of ridiculous. I mean, if you go shopping at any store, but leave with nothing, you dont have shop owners chasing you down and arguing about how you should have bought an item.Anyways, shop here! Its awesome!
I have never had issues with selling stuff here. The staff is super friendly. Of course how much they purchase my stuff for is way below how much I paid for but it is used clothing and they do have to make a profit. I could sell stuff myself and probably make more money but this does take the hassle out of dealing with trying to sell stuff and dealing with people trying to scam you. There have been things I thought they would purchase but they can only take in so much product so I can understand the exclusivity. I will continue to sell clothes here
Good selection of clothing, but as is true with all second hand stores, it takes a lot of sifting through to find things you really want. Some things are a tad overpriced in my opinion, but for the most part theyre good deals. From a selling perspective, I dont get the bad reviews at all. After years of selling on Poshmark, I got more or equal the amount of money from Platos Closet for the clothes Id give them than I get on the app. Whatever they dont take, I just sell there. No need to be nasty to anyone. I think people really just have a warped view of how much their second hand stuff is worth. Sure, in your mind the shirt you got for $20 and wore once is worth more than a couple dollars, but thats not the reality of what the customer will pay for it, plus Platos Closet themselves has to make money. The same people that complain about Platos Closet not taking their clothes complain about the items in store being overpriced. If you go in with a REALISTIC idea of what your items are worth (considering the brand, how in style they are, the condition, and how much a consumer would pay for them), and accept that they probably take everything, you wont be disappointed. There is one off-putting staff member, and Im sure they make mistakes and some of the bad reviews are valid, but for the most part, I think people just have unreasonable expectations. Theyre a great way to get instant cash for your clothes, and whatever they dont take you can sell on Poshmark.
I brought in 55+ new/lightly worn Nike, Hollister, Adidas, etc. clothes all which I had bought at crossgates within the last year or two. They turned away all but two pieces because the rest were “out of style”. Then I walk into the men’s section of the store and see a Route 66 hoodie (Kmart brand) for $9.99. They system they must follow to purchase clothing confuses me. However, the store was clean and the staff were friendly.
I dropped my off 2 large bags of freshly laundered cloths at 1 pm and was told it would take 3 hours. Upon arrival 4 hours after I dropped it off, I went up to the Counter and saw that my name was not on the finished side of the board and my bags look like they weren’t touched at all! I was told they wouldn’t take anything because there were stains and they weren’t in style, funny thing is the style that they said my cloths were missing, Another Plato’s took them. I don’t know if it was because of the color of my skin or the fact that they didn’t care much about their job to not go through my cloths. There are too many Plato’s closet to deal with bad customer service ALL around! Get it together!!
Buyer Beware!! They denied buying some of my items they shouldve purchased. A brand new Syracuse hat, another St Louis Cardinals baseball hat among other mint condition clothing. I even had two short sleeve shirts with cool designs that Id never worn. All of my clothing was in superior condition and not only that but they werent the friendliest either besides the cashier. They were picking from a huge selection I brought in and they denied buying items they shouldve bought. If anything, this is a valuable learning experience. Im not convinced by any stretch of the human imagination that they have a strong handle on fashion. If you choose to go to his location, be very very very careful and dont have high hopes. And also, dont be surprised if they arent nice to you, its a shame humans can be so rude and what they forget is if consumers werent coming in and buying/selling things theyd be without a job. They nearly denied buying an awesome Nautica polo that I never even wore and I told them they were crazy and theres no way nobody wouldnt buy it. Thankfully they took it, its awful when a customer knows more about fashion than the employee, (no disrespect). But rant over, stay clear of this place at all costs!!!
Plato? Dumbo is more appropriate. Staff is completely clueless on how to value the clothes brought in for valuation. If this is your business model, you would think the staff would be trained in how to recognize quality apparel but not the case here. I brought bags of name-brand items in great condition, some never worn, and staff did not accept while mumbling something about there being stains or in poor condition. Bottom line, inventory is a just a step above Goodwill at 3-4 times the price. Dont waste your time.+
Agree with others...they wont take clothes just because they are brand name or in perfect condition. They are looking for certain trends and styles. I had designer clothes, perfect condition (one was NWT, never worn). When I returned they asked to me wait in a very long line only to find out they said the clothes werent accepted. They couldnt tell me that without wasting 15 minutes in line?? Staff is very rude and not customer focused, more focused on talking and laughing with each other while a long line of customers wait for super slow service. Not worth my time! FYI- another consignment shop easily took my clothes so lesson learned.
I’ve been going to this location for years. Recently, I’ve noticed a high turnover of employees. As I grow older, I have a harder time finding clothes that fit my style. I am writing this review because a few days ago I went in to the store at opening time and was greeted by a girl with blue hair. I had two bags of clothes and was told the wait time would be thirty minutes—which to me seemed like a bit of a stretch since I was the only person in the store. I waited just under an hour for her to call my name out; every time I looked over at her she was on her cell phone not looking at my clothing. I didn’t buy anything, and walked out with about $17.
I brought in a bag full of name brand clothes in good condition. They only accepted 4 items that happened to still have the tag on them, and said my other items were out style. But as I was walking around I noticed the majority of their collection looked like it belonged to the early 2000’s (not in a good way) and were in crusty condition. So I just don’t understand the process of their evaluation or pricing. I wouldn’t waste your time or money here. Xoxoxo
Complete waste of my time. Drove 30 mins to get there. Left 3 bags with things, drove back home as they wanted me to wait for 2 hours to check everything. I went back 2 hours later. To be offered $5.25 for 2 new pair of shoes. Of course as they are dealing with used items, they should check the quality, if in good condition etc its normal but they were looking for brands & 1 year old. And why would someone sell you that for $5. Better to sell in marketplace & actually get something for whatever youre selling. So much for selling & making money like they advertise.
Bought several items from this store. COVID -19 hit my family hard so I decided to sell some of my clothes as well as my daughters clothes. 90% of our clothing is name brand (Banana Republic, Hollister, Calvin Klein) I waited over 3 hours just to find out that they only wanted 1 pair of shoes, a hat and body spray. They said the reason why was because the style was more for a Woman not for a Miss???? Thats hilarious!!!! Do you wanna know why?? Because I purchased at least 10 of the items from this store a few months ago. Everything I brought was name brand, had minimal signs of wear and was definitely in style. I drove an hour away, spent over 3 hours here and was treated with disrespect which resulted in embarrassment. This is unprofessional and rude. Especially considering at least 10 items I was there to sell came from that very store.
Waste of time. 3 items to sell. Person at counter offered me an amount of $16 ish. I said for all 3? She looked confused. It was obvious she didn’t even know what she was offering me money for. After stating I brought it 2 pair of jeans- tags on & a pair of boots tags on. She offers me $24 ish for the 3 thing. The experience did not give me confidence in the transaction. I declined. It was frustrating and a waist of time. The experience left me not wanting to go back. Sold the boots of FB market place for $40.
Good concept in theory. However, when I drop off 1 basket of clothes and have to wait 2 hours for it to be processed just to be told “no” on everything (Including brand new Rock Revival Jean and many other barely worn name brand items), that’s a wrap for me. And, quite frankly, I honestly don’t think they even went through all my items because after I got home, I went through everything and the bottom of the basket was exactly how I had folded everything. Waste of time and energy. I have found plenty of items throughout the store looking far more worn than anything I would ever attempt to sell.
I have sold clothes a handful of times and each time I leave having less and less of my items bought. The last time I had several items from Pink and Hollister that were not purchased even though they were in good condition - maybe worn a few times, no holes no stains. Including a sherpa hoodie from Pink that was not purchased which, last time I checked, people still go crazy for. Also had a lot of bath and body items most of them were bought with the exception of a lotion that had Christmas themed packaging from this past year and a perfume that had maybe 1/4 of an inch out of it - yet I go look at the lotions and such they have for sale and there are lotions I havent seen in BBW for YEAAARRS and bottles of soaps and lotions that are half full....I have given up on selling anything here, waste of my time.
I really don’t understand what’s going on at this Plato’s Closet. I shop here quite often and the value on that end is pretty good, with most items under $15 and in reasonable condition for what you would expect of used clothing (example: I picked out a workout top that had one small catch in the fabric, definitely noticeable but otherwise not significantly worn). However, I recently brought in some of my old clothes for the first time and was thoroughly confused at the outcome.I’ll admit that maybe a few of the items I brought in could have been a bit over-worn or not in style anymore, but I assure you that most of them were more than acceptable, especially compared to many items you see on the racks that they’ve already taken in. Many of the items they already have for sale are way more pilled/distressed/sweat-stained and generally out-of-style than what I had to offer, and yet they only were willing to buy one pair of shoes from me— for $4.20, at that. Nothing else considered, including a pair of Toms sneakers that were worn literally twice and some dresses that I had never worn.In the moment I was angry and indignant that my clothes apparently weren’t good enough, but now I’m just baffled. The only thing I can think is that the decisions of what to buy from customers are based on individual employees’ opinions of what is reasonable quality and what styles are on trend. If so, then a change definitely needs to be made here, because the inconsistency is clearly causing dissatisfaction and frustration, if mine and several other reviewers’ experiences are to be believed. As much as I still like shopping here, this experience has kind of soured my view of the place and has made me reconsider whether I want to go back in the future. Hopefully I can get rid of these clothes a little easier on Depop or Poshmark.
The past two times I’ve come in, the female cashiers have been extremely rude. The first time, the cashier forgot to apply my $5 off coupon and got frustrated that she had to redo the sale. The second time, I tried to sell some clothes and the cashier rudely gave the bags back to me and walked away after saying my clothes weren’t what they’re looking for (which was fine, I just wanted to buy new clothes so I had to ask her to come back over). The immaturity and lack of customer service shown by Plato’s Closet employees leaves much to be desired.
Dont waste your time here.... I brought in 2 full laundry baskets of name brand clothing. There was probably about 75 items between the 2 baskets, most of the items were within a year old and some had never been worn. I was told they would give me 10 dollars for the 5 items they wanted. Everything else was according to them worn out or too old, and then I was told they only accept certain name brands. They also changed their policy to only let a certain # of people sell clothes per day. They took 3 pairs of jeans and 2 sweaters, those exact jeans are selling for 20 dollars and they gave me 2 each... better off selling online or donating them to a charity. Lastly after all was done they asked me if I wanted to donate what they didnt take to them ... why so they can keep it and sell it ?? I dont think so ... so dont waste your time here
So, so very disappointed on my experience coming to the store, and pretty mad about the false advertisement mentioned on Pandora. I drove about 30 miles to come to store after calling to make sure they would be available to look through my clothes i was looking to sell. I had bad experiences with platos in the past and i was so excited to see how the new store would be, and to be honest it was more than devastating.. i tried not to expect much, but while i waited i walked around the store and browsed at the clothes i got excited thinking they would definitely be interested in my items because the items i saw there were cheap, old, and very very damaged. And if the clothing was in decent condition it was way over priced. Once i got up to the counter the girl had picked out 4 out of probably 30 things i brought that were in excellent condition and i was offered 10 dollars which is what i spent in gas money alone. I had brand new never worn victoria secret bras, swim tops, nike sneakers, a Brand new steve madden purse, etc etc. and was told that they were unacceptable. which would have been OK if the rest of the store wasnt filled with absolute JUNK, you can and WILL find better at any thrift store, dont waste gas, or time going to a place where you will get ripped off no matter what your reasoning is selling, or buying. And let me just add to this by saying they really, truly had a Wendys uniform there on a sale rack... so basically a used wendys uniform was worth more than nike sneakers or victoria secret... Right.. Please consider before wasting your time.. Rude employees, dirty store, and lots of dirty clothes to choose from.
I went to the Platos closet in Albany once and realized its not really what Im into as far as buying and selling clothing goes, so I never went back. I went to this location today to help a friend sell some clothes and shoes and it was an awful experience from the start. Firstly, the staff told us it would be about a half an hour wait to go through our stuff (we had about 6 or 7 items). While we looked around it seemed like they were almost entirely five years behind todays styles. I found a pair of decent shoes (Nike roshe ones) however they were being sold for $45 plus tax which is about what they go for online. This would have been a good find if they werent dirty and worn out on the bottoms. The staff never told us our clothes were sorted while we sat on a bench near the fitting rooms. Eventually we asked if they were ready to help us and they replied oh I think you guys are all good. How would we have known if we didnt come back to the counter? Would we have spent hours waiting? They rejected my friends clothing on the premise that they already had enough mens denim so they were being super selective. Fine - but you have 1,000 pairs of American eagle and Aeropostale jeans, maybe you shouldnt have bought them in the first place. The shoes were rejected due to some light dirt however many of the shoes out on the sales were quite dirty and some were throughly worn out. I think it would behoove this location to hire a professional fashion consultant. Or even someone who looked like the dressed well. Im not really even upset that they rejected his clothing, Im just annoyed at the idea of this store perpetuating outdated and unwanted fashion as well poor customer service. Awful service, awful style, awful store.
This store will take 1/30 things. They cannot take anything that is “fading” has lint balls (pills), any pulls, or anything from 2 years ago. You mine as well buy a brand new shirt and have them give you 1/10 of the original price you paid for it. Staff is rude and unreasonable. They pay you 1/3 of the price they will sell the item for. Example: Plato’s sells jacket for $20 they’ll give you $4.50. Total rip off! Your better off selling online!
Great prices for high quality used clothes. They have some designer bags and clothes as well. You do have to be careful though, because every once in a while a bad item will make it through, although I know from experience how selective they are with picking what they take to sell.
Amazing quality clothing, brands, & prices!! Always a great experience when shopping, the employees are very helpful and friendly. Plato’s Closet in Clifton Park is one of my go to stores! Unfortunately when I moved out of state, the locations here were nowhere near comparable. Luckily, Clifton Park Plato’s Closet gives their customers the option to pay over the phone or via PayPal, and then ship the items DIRECTLY to you! I follow their Instagram platoscloset_cliftonpark and Facebook to shop and view all their items! They do not disappoint!
There is a lot of inventory on the floor that is not acceptable (stains, holes, pilling, fading). Nothing is more annoying then finding a piece with tags, but the Platos tag is more expensive than the tag from the original retail price. You do have to do a lot of digging to find good pieces, but when you do find something good the price is better than buying new.
This store is an absolute waste of time. They will take your clothes and make you wait hours just to tell you and everyone else who came to pick up their stuff that they aren’t taking anything. Staff is very unhelpful and I never will go to this establishment again. Very angry with my experience and I wanted to warn others so that they don’t waste their day like I did due to the inconsiderate staff in the store. Deals in the store are also subpar, I can do better shopping on eBay. Highly recommend that people stay FAR FAR away from this place! Very similar to other reviews, the store is trash.
Gave ten dollars for three items and the rest was fine. No stains, no rips, everything was fine and name brand. 3 laundry baskets of aero,American eagle and Hollister. Nothing they took was even name brand. Dont go here. They take your clothes and reprice them for WAY more than they give you.
Platos closet is one of the most poorly run businesses I have ever encountered in my life. Not only have I had a bad experience working for them...but also their customer service. I worked for them when they were still located across from Rotterdam Square Mall and they were letting me go because the SUPERVISOR claimed I was not clicky enough. Just goes to show what kind of young ladies they have working there and what kind of woman the owner is. As far as their customer service it is very poor. I would go in there with bags of clothes including some that were never even worn and they would not take them because they claim that the clothes were either worn out or out of style which to my account is ridiculous. The young women who work there are always very rude and stuck up and will not give you a liable reason as to why they wouldnt purchase your used clothing. Better off just not dealing with these people and hopefully this place will go out of business sooner than later. Ive never been more disgusted with a place ever in my life.
I absolutely love this Platos location. It has everything you could want- from jewelry, to bags, to sportswear and tops/bottoms. The prices cant be beat ($15 or less for the majority of the items), and you really can find popular brands among the array of items. Many things also have original tags still attached!
If I could give them negative stars I would. Such a scam they wont even give you a receipt to see what they categorized each item or paid for each. They dont take things e even season with no damage or stains and they say its worn. Well no $#!+ isnt that the point and ive seen stuff on their racks a lot worse and not name brand which mine all was. Such a horrible experience tried giving me close to nothing for a brand new Kardashian dress with tags still on it I paid $160 for plus a box full of hollister express h&m etc.
Unfortunately, a ton of items have been stolen from the Shenendehowa high school gym locker room. Kids are taking these items and turning them in for money at Platos Closet. This store has a good concept, but along with the concept, kids are turning stolen items into this store. That really stinks! I called tonight to see if a sweatshirt that was stolen yesterday, could be identified as being brought in. They offered me no assistance. It was the day before, and even though I offered to purchase it back, the person on the phone said she would not look. I hate that Clifton Park has a store like this in our community. It makes it easy for kids to get money for things they shouldnt be doing. You should have to be 18 or something to turn items in for money, or have a parent with you.
If I could give it 0 stars I would! The place and collection of misfit clothing smells like moth balls. They give you absolutely nothing for the clothes you bring in and sell them on the rack for what you could get at Walmart or Target for a few bucks more....Brand NEW! This place is a joke! Save yourself the time and money in gas, go to another store. Not another Platos closet.... Legitimately another store!!!! Hope this helps!
Store is a joke!!! Clothes are super over-priced, especially for how terrible the condition of them are. The staff is completely incompetent, rude, and overall useless. My only question for the owner is why have a store centered around fashion and hire these young girls who have none, and know nothing about it? This store is a horrible choice for everyone and I will never go back or recommend it to anyone.
This location is terrible. Plenty of times I have brought brand names clothes brand new in there during the right seasons and constantly turned down because it either is worn or not in style. yet I go through all their selections while I am waiting and they have clothes on racks that have very noticeable stains, rips and holes. Its disgusting.
I have to agree with the gentleman that was trying to sell the polo...I to have been into platos closet twice trying to sell clothes that I have never worn and still brand new. The girls that work there are ridiculous and have TERRIBLE customer service. I waited over 20 mins just for them to tell me that my items were slight stained..um no So when I went started going through my garments In front of them, the slight stained turned into oh its just we dont take plus size..really? so then I told them I did not want the $3.00 they were offering for the one item the girl threw all my things back in a box and threw the box on the counter and told me to have a good day. If I didnt mind going to jail, I would have definitely stepped outside of character. avoid this place they are terrible at what they do, they will give you the run around tell you brand new never worn clothes has this and that wrong with it and possibly have you walking out empty handed...Sell it online at least you dont have to worry about the snotty middle man aka plato closets workers...
This store is so unique! If youre looking to sell your loved clothing and get some extra cash in your pocket this is the place to go! The girls there are very inviting and helpful if you are looking for something specific, theyll get you in and out with what you were looking for :)
My friend went there with Wilsons leather jackets really nice condition a Victorias secret handbag and a Jean jacket she walked out with 4.50 for the Jean jacket after spending a half hour deciding what they wanted what a waist of time told her they didnt know how to price them....what and establishment

2022-07-29I’ve always loved this location because they have a huge selection of both men’s and women’s clothing and lots of accessories. However, my experience with the women behind the counter today was so disappointing and disrespectful. I dropped 3 bags of clothes in the early afternoon, came back 4 hours later and they had forgotten about my bags and skipped over them. I had to wait longer for it to be done. One of the girls behind the counter was extremely rude to me and and the other girls that were working. She was loud, rude, bossy, and disrespectful. The other women working seemed to be uncomfortable with her. All that for them to take none of my clothes, when I had a lot of nice stuff in my bags. The one rude woman was clearly being lazy as it only took her 5 minutes to go through all 3 bags, when it usually takes much much longer. I’m so disappointed because I’ve been coming here for so long, so I hope to not encounter that young lady again. I don’t know her name but she had long brown/auburn hair and wore an entirely black corset outfit with combat boots. Unfortunately, customer service is not her strong suit. I’m usually not one to leave reviews or complaints like this. So disappointing for an otherwise really good place.

2022-06-11I actually would give ZERO Stars not because they did not buy my stuff, but the utter disrespect for my stuff!!! Although not items they wanted my shoes and clothes were nice pieces and should have been given back to me the way I dropped them off, NOT crumpled up and shoved back in the bag!! And the girls were so rude and oblivious!

2022-06-06Came in at 145 and was told 3 hour wait. Come back at 415 and told its still a 3 hour wait. I explained I lived over an hour away and dont want to come back and no one fave me a solution besides taking my clothes back after waiting my only day off in clifton park. After all the years Ive used them have I ever had such a problem with no solution... beyond disappointed.

2022-02-05Ive had problems in the past took down bad reviews but hear we go again same stuff different day. Back to the old way of doing things. Not going through all the clothes. I asked myself this. Why do I wash and fold the clothes if youre not gonna go them all its a waste of time. Im not saying I havent had good experience with this store but definitely more bad than good.

2021-12-09Massive store with tons of clothing, you can get a bit lost in here. It’s geared towards juniors/young women and they have lots of cute and trendy clothes for that age range. It’s mostly brands like American Eagle, PINK, etc. most items were around $10-18. There is a mens section as well. They have an entire aisle of yoga pants and most were in like-new condition, so that’s what I got and will probably go back for in the future.

2022-04-05I have both shops and sold at Platos you cannot beat the price and the quality. They are super particular about what they take and make sure everything is up to a high standard.

2021-09-27As someone who has worked for this company before, I was extremely disappointed by this location. My most recent visit (which I drive a good 30 minutes for) lasted all of about 2 minutes. I walk through the door, am not greeted, and there is a ratty, handwritten sign saying they were too overwhelmed with buys and will no longer be accepting any for the rest of the night. Excuse me? When I was a buyer, it did not matter how many people sold clothes to us. We had to accept buys up until the minute we closed, even if that meant we had to stay after hours. This just seems like something the employees decided to take upon themselves without permission because they are too lazy to do their jobs. Disgusted by the lack of service. Even after standing there with my clothes in hand, was still not greeted after seeing if someone would at least come over and explain this inconvenience. Will NOT be returning.

2022-05-29To be fair they were closing in 20 minutes but they shut the music off and everyone could hear the employees talking about how they didn’t want to stay after close. There were a few nice employees but overall felt very uncomfortable and rushed.. :(

2021-11-16I used to love coming to this store, but the past few times have been almost unbearable. The staff did not greet me, they all we’re talking amongst themselves the entire time I was here. They were talking about a customer that called in a very unprofessional manner while the store was full of people. There was at least 6 workers, but only one person on register who barely knew what she was doing. When I asked a simple question the staff member had to ask two other people in order to get an answer. I saw so many clothes on the racks with stains and rips and absolutely absurd prices for a second hand store. I will never return to this location. Please train the staff to be more professional and personable.
