Good service however the food and the drinks werent so good, I ordered grilled chicken and I got 2 pieces of bolied chicken breast in garlic sauce.
Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from here. Meet in taco was bad and hard as if they were from nights before. Super greasy and not a good flavor. The plate of steak was horrible, you can see that they don’t use good quality ingredients. My experience there food wise was horrible, I wanted to puke after I left the place and today is the next day and I won’t eating the entire day to see if I feel better.
Ive actually never really been to many of the spanish restaurants around where I live, but decided to check this place out the other day. Although I dont know if this is a place Id recommend going, it did satisfy my enchilada craving.*Pictured: #9 - 1 Beef, 1 Chicken, 1 Cheese Enchilada. Pretty average*Also ordered: Chicken Quesadilla, Beef Empanadas & Camarones en salsa with lobster sauce. I think the enchiladas were the best out of everything ordered, and my brother didnt really like his shrimp. Some places just have enchiladas Id rather never eat again lmao but these Id eat again for sure. I doubt Id get the empanadas again, and if anybody is ever really craving empanadas then Island Empanadas is really good.
I am unsure as to what restaurant these reviews are referring to. The restaurant I visited earlier this evening had as many redeeming qualities as stars in this review. The Coronitas and their house hot sauce. Having been there a week before my father suggested this restaurant for its appealing happy hour special and decent appetizers. We were later informed that the prices of said happy hour special had gone up and both waiters were particularly eager to remind us of this (rather rudely and loudly) only to be immediately overridden by (I’m assuming) their manager. Followed by a pity party of apologies. All of this honestly I would be tempted to overlook if the food was above par. I ordered the fajitas myself and could tell immediately that they were cooked separately and just thrown on a hot pan for effect. The seasoning on the skirt steak was essentially non-existent. You’d think with how much steam is coming off the skillet that the meat and vegetables would be nice and charred and cooked through, however the veggies along with the beef were chewy and undercooked. I had to rely on the hot sauce to get any flavor whatsoever from what I ordered. I didn’t take any pictures because nothing I was served was even remotely photo-worthy in terms of presentation. In addition, the waitstaff leaves much to be desired. I will not be returning to this establishment as there is a superior restaurant down the street.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Came in for lunch, honestly food wasn’t the best and they are a little pricy. BUT ! The actual point of this review is they double charged my card and refuse to refund!!! When we went to the restaurant to show them the double charge and bank statements their response was “we only have one transaction, go ahead try to report it we always win. We know a lot of people in the industry”. That statement alone proves not only lack of customer service but the fact that this is not their first time doing this. It shows they are use to ripping people off.STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE OVER PRICED FOOD AND PAYING DOUBLE FOR YOUR MEAL !!
The food was yummy and inside they play Mexican music (not live) and specific foods that say they are spicy really arent unless the customer asked for extra spice.
I have been to 5-Star fancy, expensive restaurants that merit no more than a 1-star rating, and inexpensive, warm, homey restaurants that simply make you feel so good, and keep you coming over and over again, that they merit a coveted 5-star. Plaza Margarita is such a welcoming place. We often travel from the Nassau County border all the way out to Centereach just for Noras warmth (and fabulous sangria!) Having a party? Everything is ready for you even before you come. Have special dietary needs (as I had this year), and Nora will make you anything you want, the way you want it (plain, unspiced, change out the refried beans for black beans, etc). The entire staff, from Nora and family to kitchen and wait staff, buzz like bees and are never idle - they check on you, pour you some more sangria, bring extra chips, treat you like family. I particularly like the tortilla soup, the paella (yum!) and the shrimp fajitas; but we always try to save room for Plaza Margaritas FABULOUS Mexican coffee for dessert and sharing sopapillas (when were in the mood for sweet - warm, just-fried crispy tortillas drizzled with honey and topped with ice cream and whipped cream - definitely large enough for two or three people to share) or a side of plantanos maduros (a little less sweet - not traditional dessert food but we like it). The restaurant is not fancy, but it feels like home - and thats why we keep coming back time after time.
Loved everything last night, food was amazing along with customer service was more like a 10 star. The owner came out and made sure my food was good n hot, also she thought I was being overcharged not knowing I ordered one to go.. Honest n tasteful place. definitely will be coming back.. My favorite Mexican place on long island hands down💖

I was a butcher for more then 8 years and cut skirt steak everyday. I ordered a skirt steak and rice that cost around $30 I belive. I do like my steak cooked med or even well done so Id never complain about it being overcooked or flavor but what I got served was not skirt steak. I even asked the waiter if he put the skirt steak in for me just incase he wrote somthing different but he said its skirt steak. I even looked at some photos on here of skirt steak pictures people posted. What I got was not it.
I came here the other day with my wife. It was bad to put it mildly. We have been here before. I don’t know what happened but this time was horrendous. We went home and vomited and get off the toilet! Stay away please!
It’s hard to understand the menu for me, so we order too many rice. But the flavor is delicious and it’s new experience for me.
You ordered a martini: The glass has to be chilled with ice for a few minutes before making the actual drink. You were upset because of this and hurled a vulgarity against the bartender. For the rest of the night the bartender had to endure similar abuse. The other customers at the bar complained about the vulgarity and either finished and left or asked for a table instead.I know what I ordered, the martini glass was not being chilled, the vodka was left in a mixer with the ice for 5 minutes, and the waitress did not have to deal with no vulgarity because I was very polite and nice to her. As for the other people that was sitting at the bar, if they moved thats their business because my family and I were talking between us. They should learn how to mind their business. Dont try to cover the rudeness and unprofessionalism of your employees.
Amazing food, strong drinks and the owner, Nora, is an absolute sweetheart. My friend said Nora makes the bread fresh herself. But that could be a lie. Either way the food is delicious. Highly recommend.
Save your money they charge you 15$ for 2 chimichangas that are each the size of the one in the photo. Go to viva Juan up the road spend 2$ less and get 3 chimichangas. Never will order again
We absolutely love coming to plaza margarita, we have both been coming for years, and my fiancé for 21 years now. The owner Nora is the sweets woman on the planet. The food is always amazing. Best fajitas on Long Island hands down. Always the best service, Nora comes over all the time to check on you. You always feel like family there.

Absolutely 5 stars! Always enjoyed before the new ownership, and now enjoy it even more! The staff is very accommodating, quick to take order and food is always served in a timely manner. Best food around at very reasonable price, never disappointed. Some of the best Sangria too! We never walk away hungry and always go back. Nice to get service with a smile along with great food! If we could give five more stars we would! :)

Quick stop for a perfectly made margarita with my mother was exactly what we needed. The door was open and unlocked and as soon as you walked in the woman had mentioned to us that they didnt open but since we arrived that she would be able to serve us.little did she know we were only there for one Margarita, which made her actually surprised but her service was phenomenal! She wasnt the type of server that was a little bit annoyed with having first customers walk in.my mother and I already said that we would totally come back and have dinner more margaritas!

Horrible customer service, the place was not even busy and the waitress was all over the place. Ordered a drink and she didnt finished making and just left it at the bar to attend to somebody else and then comes back 5 minutes later. She seemed bothered when you asked her for something and so did the guy that was working with her. Asked him for an extra plate, and he looked at me wrong. First and last time!
We got there a little before 5 and only one waitress. There was a few tables so the service was very slow to start. At 5 about 6 other people showed up and it obviously improved the service. The food was just ok. I wouldnt go out of my way to go back but it will satisfy a craving for spanish food.
I gave this place another shot, I purposely went there when it was slow. There were 3 other tables seated, unfortunately the food came out in almost 40 minutes. The food ordered was 2 chicken dishes, chicken cooks very fast and they werent busy at all. I was disappointed yet again. Also the portion sizes of the 2 entrees were small as well, I think this is the last time I will be eating here. The servers were friendly though.

Such an amazing restaurant, wonderful staff and really really great food!! The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting and everyone is so friendly here. Theyre always attentive and make sure every aspect of the meal and experience is great. Their Margaritas are amazing also and they have fun drink specials if you like that specifically. The food is soo good and they always make it fast which is great you dont have to wait too long (even though munching on the chips and salsa is great!!). If you are vegetarian or vegan they have tons of options with a specific section just for vegetarians and label other dishes with the option too. Its easy to take away cheese, etc. to make it vegan. All in all, such a great find and now a regular patron here!! :)
This restaurant is my favorite site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I feel like having a superb meal, this place comes instantly to my mind. best and many types of food and a rich menu.professional crew, and pleasant ambience. And very important, the bill is decent. I suggest this restaurant with great pleasure.
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants on long island. The place may look outdated but people dont go here for the look they go because they know they will get authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices and great maragarits.

We got hooked on the drinks and food!!! The quality of the food its so good that you could taste the fresh of the meat. I love the paella with lobster and my wife the Carne asada . My wife love the margaritas and myself the sangria. the staff its always nice and the service good. The half an hour drive is worth it every time.

This restaurant opened up about 3 months ago by Nora, who was the manager of the previous establishment at the location. Nora has redone the place to be beautiful and immaculately clean. The food is great, the service is great, and the staff is very friendly. I have been there with my wife about 8 times already since they opened, and we are so pleased to have a great place to go to now. EXCELLENT in every aspect.

Very Good food and vegetarian options!However, the restaurant needs to be modernized and the music coming from the bar also needs to be updated. The songs were Latin American - heartbroken songs from the 70s . At least change the old rug carpet and music it will improve the ambiance and you will have more customers.

Used to be Meson Ole. Still great food. Service was amazing. I ordered a combination plate. Taco, burrito and enchilada. It came with rice and refried beans. I substituted black beans for the refried. Margaritas were the best Ive had in a long time.

I Love This Place!!! My wife Donna and I would frequent the old Meson Ole about once a month. Our favorite waitress, Nora, was a loyal employee and manager for almost 30yrs. She was such a hard worker, and was passionate about the restaurant. However, it was obvious to us that the business was struggling, yet Nora would great us with a warm welcome and outstanding service. We were sad to see Meson Ole close down, and wondered what would become of Nora, and her staff. One day, back in September of 2014, we saw Nora standing outside the old Meson Ole with the building owner and some contractors. She told us that she was investing her own money into renovating the building inside and out, and would be re-opening her very own restaurant called Plaza Margarita. We were so happy for her, and promised to be there for the grand opening. It was a huge success, and we saw alot of familiar customers that came to support Nora. We usually are there every weekend with our best friends Kevin and Veronica. We are always greeted with a warm welcome, and have gotten to know the entire staff. The food and service is always great. The margaritas are outstanding, they are the best I have ever tasted! The bartenders Clara and Melissa are the best! We have gotten to know some of their family, friends, and regular customers. Plaza Margarita has become our Cheers! I could go on about the fresh renovation, friendly staff, ect., why dont you stop buy this weekend and say hello.
We dined and had ourselves a pitcher of peach margarita, stuffed plantain for appetizer, cazuela del mar as our main course! I was so impressed. Ive been a patron of this restaurant from prior ownership since I can remember. The food however NOW tastes natural and fresh!! I definitely will be back to enjoy other dishes. The service is excellent! Food quality unbeatable! Staff is personable and welcoming. Cleanliness on point in dining, kitchen, and bathroom areas. The restaurant is impeccable!! I totally recommend this place to family and friends. NEW management has excellently restored the passion and vibrance of Centereach.
Nora is a great person to plan a party with. She is very nice and helpful and was always there to take my call to help me to prepare for my party. The food was great and all my guests agreed. I highly recommend Nora to help plan your party. Thanks again Nora from Denise for making it a special 50th birthday party for my husband.

New restaurant. We waited 20 minutes just to order food. Waitress pushed the most expensive drink on us, without us knowing- 16 dollars for one. Huge disappointment. We will not be paying this place another visit and neither should you.

Over priced flavor ok but I order fajitas steak and shrimp $23 and I got a tiny shrimp and little pieces of stakes a little bit of rice and beans Im Mexican and I know what a real Mexican food is flavor was just ok my husband order paella he really didnt like I order fajitas all the time and this was not what Im used to I give 2 starts just for the waitress

2022-07-01Strawberry margarita was really good. My friend and I went on a busy Friday night but got in right before it got crazy, but the waiter was still on point The food was really good, I was really satisfied with the whole meal!

2022-03-30This is my favorite restaurant of all time! I have been coming here for years and even after my family and I all moved to different parts of the island we still make it a point to come to Plaza. Their food is just simply delicious and honestly no one makes a margarita like Nora does. The environment is so comfortable and inviting - you just cant beat it! The owner is the absolute sweetest and such a hard worker she genuinely cares about her customers. Love it here

2022-04-04I visited restaurant this evening 4/4/22. Very nice experience, the staff were super on point!!I entered and I was immediately greeted with a friendly face. My waiter and waitresses were all nice and happy faced. It does make the experience all the better..it counts! I ordered two dishes, both were very tasty (stuffed plaintain and enchiladas). I am glad I stopped in today on my motorcycle ride. You guys rock!!

2022-07-07This Mexican restaurant is a hidden gem! I loved it! The strawberry 🍓 margs are really good plus their food is delicious. Their homemade salsa alone is a reason to come back. Plus they totally accommodated us by allowing me to bring a small dog. I will be returning 🤗

2022-05-09The foods great when you actually get it. The last two time I’ve gone service has been slow. Tonight I had to walk out after waiting an hour and a half for food that never came. No one acknowledged us, in fact I feel as if they were actively avoiding us. I understand being short staffed but not telling the customers and ignoring people who have been patronizing your restaurant for years is bad business.

2022-06-19The food was amazing. I got the aros con Pollo . And my hubby got chicken fajitas. The food and the staff is a+++ in our book. Were so happy we tried them. We will be going back again soon.

2018-10-29Great food and service. Simple authentic menu items. The Guac is to die for!10/29/2018 Update: this has got to be our 14th time here. My birthday today....Youve gotta have the seafood with garlic sauce entree and the garlic soup. My 2 new FAVORITES!

2022-02-08Went there late in the evening. The people at the bar were very loud and obnoxious. Know one there said a word. They were so loud I couldnt here my conversation. The foods usually good so we decided to deal with it.. we waited a very long time for our food and to be honest it wasnt good at all. Tasted like it was microwaved. Last time I eat here. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the price wasnt crazy....... so I find it funny that every time this place gets a bad review the response by the restaurant is nasty and rude... how about..oh maybe we had a off night Mr customer.. we r sorry for the inconvenience. Give us another try.... nope just a nasty response.
