Excellent hike! Make it as long as you want it to be. If you enjoy waterfalls, this is a very pretty place especially in the spring. You do need to venture off the bottom of the yellow Trail about 2,000 feet to hit the bottom of the big waterfall. Pictures coming soon.

2020-07-05Great trails. The blue trail is a short but very open flat trail with a view of a waterfall. We walked just the segment that took us to the intersection of the red and yellow trail. We started with the yellow trail but it was narrow with a bit of tall grass and with possible ticks we didn’t want to risk it.We backtracked and ended up doing about 4 miles of the red trail. It is mostly shaded along the river. One part gets to be a bit steep but it’s not something a family couldn’t handle. Some parts require you to cross the creek but you can always find a dry path. This can be fun for kids. You don’t really encounter much other hikers, and there was plenty of parking. If you can’t find parking at one entrance you could try the other.Definitely would recommend.

2018-08-08One of my favorite spots, 3 different parking areas, all free to park, always cars in the parking lot but youll probably never actually run into anyone. Yellow trail is slightly confusing, easy to stray off to what look like paths but arent. Red is more straightforward with markers that are easier to spot, red is also a longer trail but gets fairly steep at points. Anywhere for 2-8+ miles if you combine trails, with parts of yellow leading into red. The waterfalls are beautiful when flowing but may be little to no water after hotter days. Recommended going more than once youll find something new every time!

2021-08-23This is a great place to hike. 3 waterfalls with good trails that are at an easy skill level. Lower trails are medium skill level. Lots of variety to see during all seasons. Stay away from ledges though as they can give way at any time.

2019-10-02Nice hiking trail within Schenectady. You can expect it to be busy there during the summer. During the spring and fall it’s not as busy. Along the trail you can find two waterfalls. The picture below shows the smallest of the two. Just make sure to bring proper footwear as some of the trails are pretty muddy. Also bring lot of bug spray.

2021-11-02If its extra wet outside and getting warm, lots of bugs, so if your not running I suggest a cooler and dryer day, didnt rain for almost 2 week? You should go! This place is so enchanting.
