I’m writing to share about an unfavorable dining experience that I had at Poco this afternoon. To be honest, I’m not typically one to complain or write reviews, but I really felt like I needed to provide feedback. My friends and I were celebrating a milestone and decided to go to Poco for bottomless brunch, as we saw that it was rated a top brunch destination in the area. The main appeal was the DJ and the atmosphere that we were so excited for. Unfortunately, despite making a reservation far in advance, we were seated outside. We asked to be moved indoors when a table opened up, but we were told we couldn’t. We could barely hear the music, the tables were dirty, and it was extremely cold outside. When we inquired about a heater, we were told they would go get it. Then, no one returned to follow up, and we heard the table next to us ask for it, to which the waiter said they didn’t have one. Also, we weren’t greeted for at least 20 minutes, and we spent the whole meal pushing in our chairs to allow people to squeeze in to the table next to us while we were hit my plates and bags of the passerbys. A Homeless man also approached our table outside and knocked over our silverware. Although I know this is a systemic issue that is not the fault of the restaurant, it was an uncomfortable experience that we would not have if we were seated indoors. Not to mention there are many price discrepancies; the website says bottomless brunch is $45, the sign our front says $42, and once we got here we were charged $47. I am mostly writing in hopes that this can be corrected for future customers. I also feel it is not okay for outdoor patrons to be charged the same rate as the indoor ones, as the experience is not comparable.
The staff and manager were awesome, friendly and helpful. We went after a big storm and they made sure we were taken care of, after a few mistakes were made with our orders. The margaritas 🍹 were amazing and the sangria too. I had the pulled chicken sandwich w/egg and homefries....it was prefect....BUT the must have which I only tasted my friends is THE FRENCH TOAST 🤤....it was so yummy and came with fresh fruit, made just right! Will definitely be going back to this spot!
Andy, who I assume is a host, will text you about a reservation since no one picks up the phone. Very bizarre and unprofessional. The music here is absurdly loud. Its louder than most concerts. You will have to scream to have a conversation. My friend and I put earplugs in: it was that loud. Its packed to the brim. Tables are on top of each other so expect to bump elbows with a bunch of strangers. Also this a serious fire hazard?? No one can move an inch.Although we had a never ending amount of drinks, the food was so bad. Most of us took two bites and stopped. It was that bad.Service was overall pretty good despite not being able to get inside or outside due to the lack of organization reservation wise.Come for the drinks and nothing else. Theres plenty of better bottomless options in this city, so I would never return to this borderline dangerous place.
Invited to a birthday brunch and wanted to give this place a chance despite the accurate reviews. Food, average, music loud and space lacking. Wouldve stayed to order drinks at the bar had the hostess/manager not demanded the table “now”. Very rude, then asking our party to pay all in cash or all on the card?! Never heard of such a ridiculous requirement. Not worth a 2nd chance
Terrible bottomless experience. The mimosa bottles they give you are 90% orange juice and 10% champagne. We left feeling more bloated from the sugar than buzzed. Also they had the music so loud that my party couldn’t even hear each other the entire time. This place looks good on paper but it’s garbage. Burrito was ok tho
I specifically visited while in East Villiage sight seeing murals. It was one of my stops on my itinerary. The restaurant doesnt really seem like anyone was eating or a food crowd even. I went straight in walked towards the basement stairs and walked right into a speakeasy comedy basement show. It was lit! Took pictures with Tom D NYC. He hosts the shows. Great drinks. Got hooked up for free on a couple too. $10 tickets even! Ive been to at least 20 comedy shows. This was top 5! Great time!
2nd time at Poco for the win!!I reserved ahead of time for a Friday morning 11 am bottomless brunch back in 2018, and by far one of the best decisions! As soon as we sat down, we ordered our food and started off with mimosas. About 30 mins into the brunch, the waiters came around and put a bottle of champagne on everyones tables (only 5 tables were full at this time)!!Quick side story: the table next to us banged on their table by mistake and our champagne bottle went flying, but my bf quickly noticed and caught the bottle before it shattered on the floor. One of the waitresses saw his quick thinking save and gave us green tea shots on the house! I normally hate GT shots, but these were tasty! Im not sure if these actually were on the house because our brunch came out to be a bit pricey, and we didnt analyze our check like we normally do.Anyways, I ordered Mac & Cheese (w/o lobster) and it was so delicious! My bf ordered Guacamole benedict which he liked as well. The one suggestion I can make for bottomless brunching is: PLEASE bring the food out faster. By the time we get our food, Im already buzzed and can barely finish my food. I feel so bad for wasting it especially because its so tasty. The music was SOOO POPPING! It felt like a party brunch and it was only 12:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. At one point, they played Shots by Lil Jon and everyone in the restaurant got shots on the house (these were pretty strong) but hey who says no to free shots?Ive been to a Saturday large party brunch and now a Friday 2 person brunch, and I can definitely recommend everyone to come on a Friday morning with a small group. It was a phenomenal brunch & I highly recommend!
Heads up: if you’re gluten free please do not go here!!!!!we had such a good time UNTIL we went home and our gluten free friend (WHO TOLD THE STAFF) had literally been poisoned with gluten and was in such a bad condition we almost brought her to the hospital…. all the fun we had had was completely overshadowed given the unforgivable pain they put our friend into…
One of the best brunch places in the city! Warning, it is cash only! If youre going on Sunday for Brunch, make a reservation only. The all-included price for 1.5 hours of bottomless is the best in the city. The food did take a while to come out, but the restaurant was slammed. On the bright side, while you wait the servers give each table a full bottle of mimosas so youre not waiting on your drink to be filled every time. The chicken burrito is good as well as the lobster mac n cheese!
I found the place a little bit controversial as the service is great (Angel was AMAZING) but the food is really not good. We order poached eggs with chorizo and our eggs were literally boiled eggs, chorizo we couldn’t even see in our plate, I noticed that the table next order the steak, eggs and cheese sandwich which wasn’t look at the best as well. The bottle less is worth it, the amount that you will drink will make worth it for the food. Would I come back for food or dinner? Absolutely No, just because of the food. The place is super cool, facing the streets, they have large doors which can be open during the summer, giving a lot natural light to place, which I absolutely loved it. Our waitress was 10 out 10, very attentive, top service, constantly checking if we were ok for drinks, she is a great audition to the team. I absolutely loved the place shame the food were not good.
Perfect hang out spot with okay priced drinks for the area. The place has a lot of heat lamps and many sections since it is on a corner. The pictures here are from just one area and although it was kind of enclosed, there was air circulation from the top. They even have plastic little tents if you want to be with your pod. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they don’t have a lot of choices for food at night. Their brunch menu looks promising though. Also, our waitress was so friendly (we wish we could give her a shoutout but don’t know her name, she is a black woman with blonde buzzed hair and fabulous)
So normally Im harsh with my stars, but its hard to give this place less than 4. However if we where just basing this on the food thats where it would be. But we are not. And really thats not why you go to poco. You go for there bottomless brunch. And this is where they know what they are up to.They just drop the bottle on your table and make sure you never run out. Infact they will go out of there way to make sure you are always topped up.Staff here are also so friendly and happy to help you with anything. Sometimes if they are not too busy they might just let you stay past the time frame and still feed you drinks.I cant recommend going here enough for your brunch needs.
Insanely loud music, couldn’t hear the people sitting right next to me. One thing I love more than anything is when I go out to socialize with friends and I can’t even hear them and their mouths are on my ears. Also my gf was charged a full happy hour price when she specifically said she won’t be drinking.
Nice spot for weekend brunch. Im not a frequent brunch attendee but have been to a couple places prior and many of the drinks were a bit weak/watered down so I was really happy to find out Pocos were quite the opposite. Both the Sangria and Mimosa were full of taste, easy to down, and gave me a decent buzz after a couple glasses. Food was also good, big on taste and decent portions. It gets pretty packed so make sure you and your party arrived on time for ideal seating. Easy recommendation for locals and visitors alike.
Went there Sunday afternoon about 15 mins before the kitchen closed and got seated right away. Even though the space was small the atmosphere was perfect. I quickly ordered the mango mimosa...delicious. The lobster Benedict is served on top of arepas, yummy. Then I ordered the French toast for desert (they dont serve desert during brunch btw). One thing I would recommend is if you dont want your French toasts to be too soggy, get the sauce on the side.In conclusion, service great and food yummy.
They really go in on the bottomless option here. Brunch was good but food wasn’t overly impressive. We sat outside in a little igloo tent because inside was insanely loud. They are definitely trying to target a certain demographic we may have aged out of. Nonetheless it was fun and left us having a boozy-full time!
Asked three times in the past week if it was possible to make a reservation (by phone and via Instagram message) and was told they were not taking reservations for brunch and assured we would be seated on first come first serve basis. However, on arrival, we were given MAJOR attitude for not having a reservation and the hostess acted like she was doing us a huge favor by seating us and proceeded to approach us several times and rush us through our meal. Very rude and nasty woman. Though our waitress was great and food and drinks were decent, unfortunately we were treated with complete lack of respect and hospitality. Highly doubt we will be returning.
The vibe here was AMAZING!!! Boozy brunch is the best time to go - you get bottomless sangrias, mimosas or bloody mary. Music was awesome!!! The food was mediocre but i would definitely come back for the atmosphere and bottomless drinks 🤣I would suggest definitely making reservations otherwise you could be waiting a couple of hours.
Turned away because I had my 2 teens with me. Not advertised as a 21 years old and over establishment. Drove 45 min to get there and drove another 20 min to find parking. Somewhat condescending staff…Hostess rolled her eyes when I asked if she could verify with manager.
Came here for brunch with my friends I will say make a reservation please!! The wait its crazy if you dont have one. Luckily we did have a reservation and we were able to sit down quickly. The place is amazing, they have downstairs and upstairs sitting, you can also get full service at the bar. Drinks were ridiculously good and the food was amazing; really well seasoned and plenty of options. Music was up to date and everyone is very attentive and really nice. Prices are really good. It was a great experience overall I will definitely be back here!!
Unprofessional and overpriced!I had brunch here with a few friends and it was a horrible experience. To begin, they were completely unorganized checking in reservations. They have a 10-minute grace period (they charge you $10/person if you cancel) but they took 15 min to check us in.Once seated we had to wait 30 minutes to get a glass of water. We watched as the waiter casually strolled and sat at each table as he took their order. When the waiter finally came he was visibly intoxicated wearing a pullover hoody in 90° weather.I will say the food was good. That is why I rated this more than 1 star. The check was brought to us 20 min before our time was up. We were barely attended throughout. When I went inside to use the bathroom I saw the staff chatting and laughing with each other. Our waiter was seated at a table finishing off the drinks they had left behind.
The food was delicious!!! The setting was lively and vibrant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They offer a $33 bottomless brunch featuring mimosas, bloody marys and sangria for 1.5 hours. A reservation is needed because they are always be booked to capacity for brunch.
Food only looks colorful here. Other than that it is tasteless. They ran out of food options in the middle of a Sunday brunch. They only take cash and dont tell you about it until they bring the check. I went there before and it was a different experience so I decided to go back. Waste of time and money.
I came in with high expectations because other brunch places I’ve been to in alphabet city have been amazing, but Poco was such a disappointment. First off, the restaurant wasn’t ready when it’s supposed to be open, leaving many customers waiting in the heat outside. My friend and I were directed to a small table in the corner even though there were plenty of more comfortable options available (we thought they were reserved but no). Also, how’s this mediocre-looking, average-tasting entree worth $21.95? You can get much better & cheaper food elsewhere. Wouldn’t recommend at all!! Didn’t give a one-star review because of the complimentary 4th of July shots ;)
Soooo the bottomless brunch is great and especially if you get the inside seating. The food isnt too much to hoot for.Eat before you comeThe cure is anti climaticThe lobster mac and cheese is alrightNothing is worth a 45 min wait.Waitress was nice and keeps the bottles comingCome show-off but make sure you plan ahead and get inside(Be mindful of covid )
Don’t go there if you wanna have a semblance of a conversation. The music is TOO LOUD. My table and several around us asked to have the music turned down multiple times and the manager refused. It’s not pleasant - bars don’t even play music this loudly. We were sat inside and it was freezing too - the hostesses didn’t bother to keep the door closed when they were chatting with people. When we asked for the curtain next to the door to be closed, the hostess said “you’re lucky you’re indoors”. You could see peoples breath in the air from how cold it was🙃 Bottomless was continuous though and food was like meh and expensive for what it was. Also gratuity was automatically included for a table of 4. Btw they also charge an extra fee if you wanna pay with card. Would not recommend lol you can have so much more fun elsewhere
I wish I could leave 0 stars. This place has the worst customer service of anywhere Ive ever experienced. We came with a large group, made reservations far in advance, and called before to guarantee that wed be inside or at least under covering because it was set to rain. After trekking down to alphabet city, the manager and host were extremely rude and unaccomodating and insisted that the only seating available was the cramped, uncovered table on the roadside next to some paint fumes. We ended up going somewhere else last min and had a great experience.
Had some good experiences here and had some not great ones, was there recently, staff just seemed confused, they had one server for the whole restaurant then two other people just standing around doing god knows what. The barman worked hard to cater and they do provide alcohol quickly for the brunchs with carafes for the table, but they just didnt feel very welcoming, with some very fake smiles, which kind of ruined the vibe. Other times I have gone it has been different but this was pre-covid so maybe there are new staff who have just killed the atmosphere in my opinion.
Bottomless is great if your server actually brings them 🙃 The server started out strong, but slowly the service just disappeared. Being able to make a reservation is refreshing though.Food was meh. Mac ‘n cheese was pretty decent. It’s a crowded brunch place all the way until 4pm. Like CROWDED.Just go in with those expectations. You come here for the drinks and hopefully with mediocre service.
We had a reservation at 3:00 for a brunch with a large group for a birthday celebration. There was a huge issue getting our table but we were seated at 3:15. We placed our food order and the food came out at 4:50 - 2 hours past our reservation time. The food was ice cold. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend.
Stumbled across Poco strolling and it did not disappoint! Missed Brunch by an hour or so but hello Bottomless Dinner! $65 pp includes your choice of 5 apps and mixed drinks ,wine ,beer etc for 2 hours. The music was good . The vibe was dope. Definitely recommend the Lobster Mac Nd Cheese, sliders and Elote Salad. The spicy Margarita was AMAZING!
Updated Review, previously rated them 5 stars in 2018.Poco is my usual go to brunch spot whenever Im in downtown Manhattan. I have came to Poco a total of 5 times before yesterday 7/18/21. The last time I visited Poco was in August 2019 so yesterday would have been my first day coming back to Poco post pandemic. I was not pleased with the service or how their outdoor seating was set up. Once my 2 friends and I arrived, we asked for a table of 3 and the host, which I do not remember her name, explained to us that they do not have any available seating for us until 3pm, as the last table that was available was for a party of 15 thats also arriving at 3pm. We asked if it would be a problem if we sat at that table until 3pm arrives and we can just move to another table, she stated that it wouldnt be a problem. So we were seated at that table which was extremely small for it to be reserved for a party of 15. Anyways, we started to order our bottomless and food. One of my friends ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich that comes with side salad and potatoes. My friend received her food to see that there was no cheese on her Bacon, Egg and CHEESE sandwich. She sent back the food. Then this guy comes out who I am assuming is the manager, asks my friend why did she send the food back. She explained to the guy that there was no cheese on her sandwich and the guy became mad defensive and stated that there was cheese on the sandwich. My friend continued and stated that there was not any, and the guy again claimed that there was. Then she asked if she can order something else, then the guy exclaimed Of course. That exchange was very awkward because if a customer was not happy with food that they received, they should be able to have their food fixed with no questions asked or be able to order something else. The back and forth over cheese on a sandwich was very unnecessary on the guys part. The host came back to our table around 3:10pm and notified us that the party of 15 arrived and shell move us to another table. Once we were moved to another table, we realized that one of the chairs had bird poop on it. Also the table wasnt cleaned properly. I wish Poco was exactly how it used to be prior to the pandemic, as far as customer service and cleanliness goes. But of course, being post pandemic, they seemed like they were more so worried accommodating as many customers as they can so they can receive the revenue without providing the proper service. If I do decide to come back to Poco again (still dont know how to feel about yesterdays service), I will definitely make a reservation prior and I WILL request to be seated inside as the outdoor tables and chairs are not sanitary enough for dining.
Came here for brunch with my friend and it was very nice they do have indoor and outdoor dining we chose outdoors and it was cold one of the heaters ran out of propane so they gave us a blanket and a free shot to get us warm we had the bottomless mimosas we got drunk they even sent us off with to go cups, the mac n cheese was yummy the french toast was life and my friend said the lobster sliders werent bad. They only take cash but there is a atm next door. Indoor music was great. It was expensive though. May go back. Oh waitress Sara was very nice
Drinks were good and boozy but the food wasn’t good. The best thing at the table was the Mac and cheese, the was French toast was second best but there was a pickle in it which made all the fruit taste like pickles.Worst burger I’ve ever had, don’t order that. We were seated outside, there is very little seating inside which wasn’t that bad but you could barely hear the music. Service was good, the waiter was kind and attentive! But I probably wouldn’t return here in the future.
This place used to be fantastic!! Decided to go for my bday on Sunday 5/30 party of 10 for the 3 hr brunch which was supposed to be at 130 but we moved it to 3 to get the 3hrs. The server was alone downstairs so we knew that she might be overwhelmed and were patient. But she was absolutely unhappy, rude, impatient and had the worst attitude Ive ever had a server have and I am a former server so i understand a packed out place. I wont be going back, the servers used to be such a fun time but she completely killed everyones appetite, killed the mood and ruined my birthday.
Floral cuteness everywhere, I went with a few of my girls for brunch. Got there on time and the hostess informed us that our table just needed cleaning. Poco literally pokes into the corner of the street, so we decided to directly cross the street because it was super crowded, (COVID-19 does still exist for people who have seemed to forget) traffic in very direction. We gave it about 3-4 minutes and we crossed back. Found the hostess and she gave our table away to 1 girl when we were a table of 3 -_- She tells us she was looking everywhere for us but didnt use our contact. She tried giving us another table across closer to the street where it stunk. I grew up in the city, I know our streets smell but no one wants to sit by a sewer while eating. I called her right back and told her, it stinks there, couldnt she give us our original table back because the 1 girl is still there. She looked flustered and nodded, walked away, and came back offering us what we thought was a much better table. This made us happy. The waitress was quick and when they say LIMITLESS, its LIMITLESS. The mimosas kept coming and coming, lol. The food was great; lobster mac n cheese, burger, and lobster roll. Yum! Gratuity is included on the bill. Overall, shaky start but everything worked out. Again, this place is super packed, nice ambiance, good music, and food. So many different kinds of faces around us, I loved that. Felt very open and exciting.
Went here for Sunday brunch with reservations. We’re seated in the basement which I found to be pretty gross and musty; definitely not a nice vibe at all. The food was straight bad and the service was worse. Two of our entrees came out twenty minutes after everyone else’s and we could never find our server for anything. Both my steak egg and cheese sandwich and my friends burger were served on croissants when they were supposed to be served on rolls; even if they had run out of rolls let us know in advance! I barely touched my sandwich it wasn’t tasty at all and everyone else was pretty disappointed with the food as well. Skip this one, not worth it
A decent price for bottomless brunch. The food and service were definitely very good. I had to give the restaurant 4 stars because they rushed us out and kept telling us they needed our table. It felt a little rude, but I enjoyed the food, drinks and our waitress was great.
Hmmm where do I start? This place is insane. Its a fun place...if you work there I guess since the waiter was just dancing around mostly instead of checking on the tables. But to go dine & recieve good service...its a no Dawgs.Im in the service industry as well so I get it- places are short staffed, everyone is struggling, etc.But at the end of the day...if someone asks me for something and i dont know how to make it, I just use Google and thats it. This place needs to cross train their servers or at least have a cocktail list with the ingredients behind the bar for occasions like yesterday. Not cool that I cant get a drink bc the bartender is there but you go in to use the bathroom and the employees are all kind of standing around hanging out and talking to each other.Perhaps none of them knew how to use Google. Who knows ?Gave two stars instead of one because I *think* they were trying but....almost just doesnt quite count.
Poco was great but the hostess was super rude. She put us in this cramped corner and basically ordered our friend to go in. She was super rude and made her feel uncomfortable. I went for my birthday, and I just didnt feel welcomed and celebrated. The waitress was super nice but the hostess was super mean. The hostess needs to do better, cause I get its covid times but then dont allow all this overbooking if its gonna be super stressful.
Music was really good, the food was even better.. great vibe and atmosphere. We were a group of 13 people, the bartender offered us free shots I mean what more could you ask for.? You can pick between sitting inside or outside. We have traveled from Suffolk County NY to get there and would definitely do it again!!!.
Made a reservation for a party of 6 and arrived on time. Had us waiting in the basement where it smelled like vomit and wet mop there are literal puddles inches from the table. Asked about changing the table and would not accommodate because the managers friends were seated at a table of 8 drinking. Extremely unprofessional and unsanitary. Will not be returning don’t waste your time or money.
Beyond delighted with my experience at Poco! My friends and I all went during their Sunday Boozy Brunch hours to celebrate my 23rd birthday. It was a blast. The host was lovely and had a nice energy. Our waiter was so kind and patient, and very funny. Most of our party was running late -_-and he showed such grace even though theyre a very busy restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the food, the sangria was great as well as the mimosas, and Im usually not a fan. The atmosphere was so vibrant and welcoming! Ill definitely be going back. My only thing is that one of us waited so long for her order and it turns out that either the kitchen forgot or the waiter didnt properly deliver the message. But once they realized the confusion they quickly addressed it! Lobster Mac and Cheese was AMAZING so were the French Toast (I had a bite of my friends but I wish I had ordered them myself). The Lobster Benedict was good as well but nothing crazy extraordinary from your everyday Benedict. The Cure was also a good dish and the Truffle Omelette was great, and we all loved the potato bits and bacon. Sorry for such a long review, I usually dont write these but it was just such a good time. Thanks for a great start to my 23rd year of life, Poco!
This used to be my fav. Brunch spot when no one used to go lol. Glad business is great but it gets really crowded. I always have fun here with friends. Bottomless is always the way to go. Food is Great. They are very accommodating but stick to your reservation it gets crowded.I havent been here during covid yet, just wanted to update my review from 3yrs ago.
My server at Poco was Alex. I cannot remember what day we were there because we had the best time ever, this brunch lives rent free in my head. Alex brought the energy our crew was so desperately craving. I had the breakfast burrito (vegan, duh) washed down by several bottomless mimosas. We danced, we laughed, we cried over RHONY being soo bad this season. I will be back to the Alphabet City to see my favorite server as soon as my Equinox trainer tells me I can have carbs and alcohol again. The party does not stop when you enter Poco baby. i
Love the energy of this place! Would honestly recommend their dinner menu way more than their brunch menu. The croquetas and truffle Mac n cheese are so good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is one big party! Staff is great but won’t take your sh*t if you’re rude to them, which is the most NYC things about them.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The “COVID bubble” in which we were seated was torn in multiple places, rendering it entirely pointless. The single, small heater placed at one side of a six-person table broke down twice. Unlike other reviewers who claim to have been given blankets and free drinks, we were given nothing. We came to the restaurant at 11am, when it opens, yet somehow they were out of every single hot drink option. We were brought the wrong food. Later, we were rudely told that we had to leave to make room for incoming reservations. To top it all off, the restaurant somehow was only accepting cash payment. The entire thing was farcical. For a restaurant that is fortunate enough to remain so busy under the current circumstances, it is bewildering to see how little respect they have for their customers.
Good food, servers do not work well in a busy restaurant. Our table was located next to the window the Stench smelled as though it was wiped with a dirty dish cloth. First orders received their food last. Service sucks no one ever checked to see if we were ok during our meal we had to keep calling the staff over only one waitress spoke English.
I found this place not too long ago when I was looking for a spot that did brunch all week long. I had heard pretty good reviews so my friends and I decided to give it a try.The inside was very cute. It had a simple design and the decor made it feel comfortable and cozy. The bottomless brunch wasnt too pricey($32) but definitely not the cheapest Ive found. The sangria was delicious as was the food. The service was outstanding. We sat at the bar since there was a bit of a wait for the tables. We were always taken care of and served with a smile. I would definitely come back here.
The atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was everything we had hoped for to celebrate one of our best friends birthday. The staff were super cool, super friendly and kept re-filling our drinks so that we could take full advantage of our unlimited drinks brunch. We started up about 3PM and didnt leave the place until like 8PM and none of the staff were rude or urged us to leave, we had a really good time and the food was delicious too-- we mostly shared the brunch items like lobster mac and cheese and French Toast. I highly, highly, highly recommend this place!
Poco is a fun spot, with a pretty decently priced boozy brunch - food is not bad, probably what you would expect at a place that lets you do an all-you-can-drink in 1 hr 30 mins. Expect the music to be loud, which can be fun, but can be hard to hold a conversation. Servers are nice, but the busy vybe does slow things down a bit. Would have liked a bit more attention to the safety rules of keeping appropriate distances. Overall good option, esp for groups.
Food was great. I got the steak, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. The bottomless mimosa, bloody mary, and sangria deal was awesome. The servers were super friendly and great to talk to. The bar tender bought everyone a shot during brunch which was a great gesture. I loved this spot and recommend it.
Poco hosted my companys holiday party this year in their private space and it couldnt have been better. Getting all the details ironed out in advance was a breeze. Once we arrived to the downstairs space, we were greeted by Lucy, the friendliest of bartenders. She made us some pretty delicious drinks and kept us going strong late into the night. The rest of the service was seamless and invisible. Food just appeared, empty plates were miraculously gone, it was really something else! Additionally, the music was great, the space comfortable for our 40-person party. My whole team had the best time and I was given much kudos that I cannot take credit for--it all belongs to the staff of Poco! Thank you so much. I hope to bring the gang back again in the future.
Its a great place for brunch. My girlfriend and I found poco about 3 years ago and try to go as often as we possibly can. We live in Jersey and its our #1 brunch place. Their food is amazing. Best lobster mac n cheese we have had and their french toast a DELICACY. Their drinks along with the service is phenomenal. Its also the first bottomless boozy brunch I found that is available on Fridays as well which is awesome since we usually work the weekends. Definitely have to make reservations its always busy. But hands down worth the drive. And it is cash only.
IT’S CASH ONLY!!!Now that we got that out of the way- my experience w Poco was phenomenal.THANK YOU ELIESE!!! You were an amazing hostess.I had a party of 12 for a birthday brunch. We hit a slight bump right at the beginning which had me skeptical (my reservation was marked in their system as “arrived“, so when we actually DID arrive, it looked as if we didn’t have a reservation) but they fixed the issue promptly and we were seated. The food was AMAZING. The bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless. The manager was super sweet and reassured that everything would be taken care of- which it was- so thanks to her!I can’t wait to come back!
I would give this place six stars if I could. My boyfriend and I came here on Sunday and the place was full but we found two spots at the bar. First off - the bartender was amazing. He was on point, very attentive, and we had a great conversation. It made the atmosphere wonderful. The food - was ten times better then I was expecting. I ordered the Poco Benedict and it was so good I almost ordered it again. My boyfriend had the lobster Mac and cheese which is definitely worth it. The drinks - we got the unlimited drinks, and they were amazing. And again shoutouts to the bartender that was super attentive with refills. I appreciate it. Ill be back soon and Ill be recommending this to many people!
Best unlimited mimosa brunch place I have gone so far. I have been coming here for a few years now and the entire staff is friendly, from the sweetest hostesses to the very attentive waiters. Everything on their menu is delicious, especially their lobster Mac and their Poco egg Benedict. The place gets extremely busy for weekend brunch so I suggest calling 3-4 days in advance to secure a table. Even at its busiest the servers are sill extremely attentive at making sure your glass isnt empty if you purchase the unlimited mimosa package. Best brunch place ever!
We were turned down reservations because we had 3 children and a party of 12 adults. This is a restaurant. No where on the website does it say 21 years and over. And we received text messages that said “We’re not really an awesome place for kids! Especially under 18!” , once I told them there were 3 kids. First of all, I didn’t know kids can be over 18...She was trying to convince us it isnt the environment for kids..Then suddenly says her manager texts her and its a new unwritten rulen, that its 21+We were turned down and lied to. News flash Poco, you are a restaurant not a club. Even Tao & Catch allow kids. They are really reaching.
Great bottomless brunch, you can switch up your drinks within the time frame for no extra charge. French toast was delicious, atmosphere was very lively, the only downside is that the place is small so my group was squished in the corner and it was a little tight. Will definitely be coming back here!
Made a reservation for 6 but the reservation was not honored. The outdoor seating was beyond unacceptable as far as Covid restrictions go. The lead hostess or manager whoever was seating tables was unprofessional and dismissive. I’ve never had a restaurant worker put their hand in my face until today. Poor excuse for service and unsafe for these times. Would have loved to gotten to try the food but after waiting over 20 minutes for a table that we reserved we decided to go elsewhere.
The place was beautiful, music was excellent and the food was good (a little overpriced, but good). We were in a large group for a birthday party. My biggest issue came when we had to pay for the meal. We gathered all of our money (cash only) and 3 people counted, because it was almost $1,000. The waiter convinced us that was wrong and we were $40 short. We all recount again add the $40 and he came back AGAIN!! At that point we felt taken advantage of and I let the waiter know I would not give another penny. FYI - our original bill was $936 and he was given $952 even though 20% gratuity was built into the bill.I will never go back.
Im not a brunch guy, but I wanted to take the time to thank Poco for such an incredible experience. Special kudos to Kevin, and the two hostesses, Kara and Loris (I definitely have their names wrong. Sorry!).Our party was late, but the hostesses were nice enough to work around our traffic troubles. We got our table and were treated for a good time by Kevin.Great food, by the way. Service was excellent. Music made for good vibes. Like I said, Im not a brunch guy, but Ill come back to Poco. Thanks again for the good time. Happy holidays!
I cant say enough for our server, the food, and the promptness of refills for our bottomless, but we had a terrible experience with the hostess. She snapped at us when we showed up at 12:30 for a 1 pm reservation, saying condescendingly that they wouldnt be seating till 1 for 1 pm reservations. She directed us that across the street is usually fine and Ill text you when were ready. We had a drink across the street for about twenty minutes before heading back over, despite not getting a text back. Even though it was only 1:20, she told us, Well, its 1:45, so your reservation was canceled. We had to argue with her that wed already checked in, to which she responded she had no record of our reservation. As I was pulling up our confirmation, she said, Oh, right. I DID text you, as she threw three menus on the table. She hadnt, for what its worth. Our waitress could not have been more attentive and the food was great. I hope you get a kinder hostess when you decide to drop $50 on brunch.
Mango mimosas are delicious Jermaine was our server great personality. Cora i am a fan. Hands down best french toast I have ever had dont @ me the only problem I have they only take cash which is such a pain otherwise amazing brunch experience I will definitely be back
If you have a reservation, there is no wait. Get to your seat, enjoy the music and energy with your brunch. They just keep bringing you cocktails for an hour and a half, also you definitely want to order the side of bacon. You have never seen such a pile of bacon cooked to perfection in your life. The other food was fantastic, but for those of you tired of 3 slices of bacon for $4 this will blow you a way!
Good food, weak service, super loud. We were seated in a basement next to a speaker that was pumping out music. I enjoyed it because I did the bottomless brunch - it was like a party before noon! Some of the friends I was with weren’t so happy with the volume. Also, once we were seated we waited for 20 minutes and then we asked someone where our server was. It was packed so I get it, but some sort of acknowledgment would have been nice.
Just be wary: if you book a reservation he prepared to wait at least a half hour. Watched tables skip ahead of us just because they threw a fit. Food was okay but the wait in here for anything in crazy, but the staff is so sweet and def overworked. They are so sweet but got too many tables to manage, I felt bad.
My friends love coming here. Its down the street from me. I enjoy their company so I join them. They have a nice brunch special that includes drinks. Sangria, mimosas, bloody marys. They are quite yummy.I have had two bad experiences. Once with a waitress and the other time with possibly the owner if not a manager of some sorts.I wont go into details because the point is they were both mean and rude, and I am a happy go lucky fella. My friends enjoy it so I go and enjoy their company and mimosas. I would never go here without them.Decide for yourself, the booze flows nicely.
This place is famous for their lobster mac and cheese, but I am vegan, and their vegan mac is something to rave about as well! It was crossed and busy the day we went so we ate outside, but probably for the best because it seems like a lively and loud in place. Which nothing is wrong with that if thats your vibe.
This place is so disgusting. We made a reservation days ago and they seated my group downstairs where it smells like mop water and bleach. There was water in the floor. It was so disgusting. The owner didn’t care and was laughing at our faces when we explained how upset we were
Im from DC but every time Im in town, poco is always on the itinerary. It is clear the quality of the food has been impacted by the recent events. How the mighty have fallen. This was my fav French toast in NYC, now.. it doesnt even match what i do at home... But I will continue to come when I return to NYC, I have always had good food and service here so ill be there for the good and the transition back to good.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. A party of 8 had reservations days prior and wasn’t seated until 45-60 minutes after our reservation. We were seated at a table that had less seats than what our party could hold. We arrived prior to 3:00pm and did not receive our food until 5:45pm; after they had notified us that they had ran out of the options we had ordered hours prior. We were also missing key options that were ordered for our entrees and were still charged. I understand an establishment being behind schedule but over 2 hours in unacceptable, as well as food that was ordered prior to the “brunch” cut off. I’m extremely disappointed in the staff and organization. We watched a party of almost 15 be seated prior to us that had a later reservation, be seated and served before us. It’s extremely disappointing to consider cold eggs after 6pm without an explanation and a free pity drink.
Bottomless brunch is where its at!Brought my mother here for her birthday, made a reservation (DEFINITELY DO SO OR YOU WILL WAIT FOREVER) and they gave us free shots. The host is lovely and tried to upgrade our bar reservation, but the place was too packed, so thats okay. The red sangria is phenomenal, as is their included mimosa.I actually recommend a bar reservation as you can converse with the fun bartenders and get recommendations. We had the lobster benedict and french toast. Definitely recommend.Go on a Saturday! The best bartender in town is there for brunch!
Great place to enjoy with friends. Food is good , different, but could use more of a selection for bottom less brunch choices. My son took me here Today to Celebrate Mothers Day and I had something called The Cure ( it was a good dish I chose the chicken for $2 more topped with eggs. Its always best to make reservations and my son did just that.
Been to Poco for brunch a couple times now per my friends insistence; both have been extremely poor experiences. The first occasion, I ordered The Cure which ended up being a bed of tortilla chips with scrambled eggs and very watery salsa on top. It was the most unappetizing dish I have ever ordered at a restaurant. The chips were so wet and soggy and the dish was incredibly bad-- a large pool of green-tinted water formed on the tilted side of my plate. If you ever do decide to eat here, I implore you to not order The Cure. Additionally, our table received very poor service. The waiter became increasingly dismissive and rude to us throughout the meal; he would legitimately ignore us when we asked for a refill on our drinks. The second time I went to Poco was a marginally better experience but still negative. Thankfully, we did not see the same rude waiter as the time before. They seated our group in the basement which smelled like a basement, despite having several tables available in the much more aesthetically pleasing upstairs environment. The food was edible this time, but wholly unremarkable and not worth the price. In all, there are much much better brunch places in NYC and much better bottomless brunch places. Do yourself a favor and pick somewhere else.
I went to my first bottomless boozy brunch here last week, and my group had such a great time. Definitely make a reservation because everybody waiting in line for it to open had one already. Food flies out ridiculously quickly, and its delicious. I had the Lobster Benedict. Could use a little more seasoning, but hey Im used to Latin American home cooking. Roasted potatoes were perfect though. Red sangria was one of the best Ive ever had, so I had plenty more. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. Super friendly staff in general as well. Highly reccomend!
I absolutely loved this place!!!! Unpretensious and comfy. I came here for brunch with friends with unlimited Mimosas, Sangria and bloody maries..dont expect too much from their menu it is very light and not much variety. Try the hash chorizo with potatoes it is out of this world. Word of caution it is vert loud and they tend to blast the music which makes it difficult to have a conversations. Do not bring your family this is more a friends get together place to drink and be merry. They need to tone it down on the loud music.
Fantastic Saturday Brunch. Super friendly staff and Ronnie took great care of us as the bar. Food and drinks were excellent. Will definitely come back.Only complaint is the security person outside gave my wife a hard time before I came out for being too close to the line. Again this was after she exited and I was inside paying. This is completely unnecessary and would only as the management to take care in how the staff interact with guests. Again overall experience was so good I do not want to take a star away but hope this is read and taken back for some coaching.
When I lived in NYC, I visited Poco with family frequently and we loved it. A dynamic atmosphere, good food and delicious jalapeno margaritas! We never had any problems with our orders or staff. If youre in the mood for some good food and drinks with a lively environment, I recommend this place.
The weekend brunch is this place claim to fame ... the options are good although I wouldnt recommend changing up the dishes too much if youre part of a group. The likelihood of them being able to serve all together came be affected by special requests. The bottomless drinks are standard if youre not drinking alcohol they will offer coffee as a supplement but you have to ask ahead of time.
Cash only. We went for brunch in a party of 25 and despite their website you need to call twice to make sure you have the space reserved for 3 hours. They tried to make us leave after an hour and a half but the charged us for the larger party. The mimosas tasted like straight orange juice and they only had one waitress for our entire party. If you want a better brunch, try Hill and Dale
Poco Hybrid Sangria and Truffle Mushroom Croquetas were absolutely delicious. Lobster Guacamole also quite tasty. Laid back atmosphere, nice inside / outside feel with doors that open onto the street and a few sidewalk tables, fun music. Bar was inviting. Overall great value.
This cash only brunch spot in alphabet city also hosts trivia nights every Tuesday. Unlike most spots in NYC, the brunch is not overpriced ($32 for bottomless drinks for 90 minutes with an entree) but the quality of food does leave a little to be desired. I would recommend sitting anywhere apart from the basement, which is a little crowded. I had the guacamole Benedict and would recommend the Mango Margherita. Tables of 6 or more will attract a 20% gratuity.
Went out with a large group of friends and unfortunately will not be going back due to how rude the hostess was. The place made a mistake and double booked and the hostess got in one of our faces and started screaming and was being absolutely disrespectful. She was so unprofessional and it was absolutely absurd the way she treated us. The manager was very helpful and tried his best to take care of the situation, but the hostess ruined the experience. She does not deserve to work in that atmosphere.
Great place for boozy bottomless brunch! Fun vibe in the basement for big groups and pretty good food. Drinks are typical mimosas and the sangria is a bit sweet, but its bottomless so pretty soon you wont care. Make sure your whole party is on time for the Rez and bring cash cause its cash only!
Met some friends here for lunch, could not believe what I was brought out for food. I ordered the cure with chicken, which came out to be essentially a small plate full of store bought nachos, maybe 2 scrambled eggs, and some cheese sprinkled in there. Top it off with a coffee, and I could not believe my $24 bill. Gotta be one of the most disappointing lunches Ive had in a long time. They get 2 stars because the wait staff was nice, although I did watch a woman drop a candle on the floor and place it back into a drink maybe 4-5 times before they gave up and served the birthday shot. Also got the wonderful aroma of one of their waiters enjoying some 420 in the backroom, and then had another waiter complain to me about it being unprofessional....Maybe this place was once a staple of good broozy brunch, but I could not recommend this place less.
Totally lost on what all the hype is about regarding brunch. Extremely cramped, the food is good but over priced, the drinks are just juice, which was terrible, and they literally ask you to leave after an hour and a half. No vibe here. The lobster Mac and cheese is good but needs seasoning. Portions are very small; I was hungry when I got home. This brunch is subpar at best. Wont be returning. ✌
I like this place. Its one of my go to drunk brunching spots in the East Village. $32 for a bottomless brunch (including food). The food is pretty good normally but it is fantastic hangover food. They do stop you at the 1.5 hour limit but theyre really good about refills!
I went for brunch, the lobster mac cheese was a dish my friend and I shared, we are watching our figure so it was good to share in that case, besides it taste great. Food selection was limited we ordered another dish with potched egg and lobster salad but it was gross. The wait is horrible 😤so eat a snack before going 😉 Music was lively(many varieties being played) service was smooth being that it was only two servers. Its a small venue 😑......but unlimited mamosas, sangria, and bloody whatever it was, lobtser mac and cheese, dope music, lively people would be the reason Ill come back
I went to this place with two friends of mine for dinner. It was DELICIOUS! Very good in relation to its price. The food was fresh, flavoured and well presented. And dont get me started on the waiters! They were SO warm and nice: they even put some music we asked for! I would definitely go back to Poco, and I will certainly recomend it! Thumbs up!
The brunch menu is too rigid and limited. Too many limitations: cash only, no alterations to their dishes gratuity automatically added. Not the friendliest place. I felt the food was good but pricey for the portions served. Then at the end they basically kicked us out because they had another reservation coming up in 5 minutes..definitely not a friendly place.
Waited 1.5 hours for food after ordering. The main dishes were undercooked, and missing key parts of what was on the menu. When we asked, we were simply told they “ran out” of those ingredients. However this was 1.5 hours into sitting without food, so we didn’t have the option to change meals at that point... recommendation to the staff, this is something you may want to communicate or remove from the menu when you are missing the majority of your dishes.
The service was non-existent so we left. I was looking forward to going here for months only to be super let down! My fellow food blogger and I ended up seating ourselves after waiting awkwardly at the door because no serve-staff was anywhere to be seen. Finally someone showed up after 10 min and told us the table was reserved and we had to wait outside for another 10-15 min. Fine, I was still psyched-up on the place. 20 min later, we get seated. Sitting for 10 more min...The server never comes back. We got up and left. I really wanted to try the food and post awesome pics on my blog but now Im a little hesitant to try again :(
If I had reviewed this before my last experience, it would have been a 4. However, the last few times I went the decline had become extremely apparent. First off, I had a tiff with the owner/manager over their denial to accept credit cards, even when it was a new rule implementation at the time. Secondly, on a different occasion, I was seated outside with a friend and ordered the unlimited mimosas with our brunch entrees. The mimosas came out warm and disgusting. My friend got sick very quickly from the heat and the warm drinks.
We hosted a birthday party brunch at Poco this past August. The host was very accommodating - we were put in the basement so that the entire party (20+ people) would fit. The drinks did come, but they were a bit slow, and the food was less than what I was expecting. Unsure if it was the party size, or how Poco handles a busy brunching day?
The only thing great about this place were the smooth drinks but even that was expensive. The menu does not show prices for brunch. I did not want to be rude and ask but after we got the bill we saw that the brunch plates were $25 each and it was not that much food or great tasting food for $25. The place is also very crowded and the music is way too loud. I would not go here again.
Ate here with a party of 40 people and did the brunch special. Service was great and they did a good job hosting a big party. That said the downstairs party room was very cramped - really not sure how they fitted us all into that alcove! With unlimited sangria flowing I think its fair to say that we all had a good afternoon. Not sure If I would go back in a normal size group of 2 or 4.
I naturally was dying to go to this place after seeing a consistent crowd waiting to get in weekend after weekend since Poco doesn’t do brunch reservations. As any real New Yorker knows there’s unlimited brunch spots so any place that people are willing to wait an hour or more for must be really good. So I was HYPED to find out that Poco had started using Yelps No Wait app. That allowed me to virtually put my name on the list and show up right before it was my turn. I was so excited when it was finally my time to try Poco but was SO disappointed. First off we chose to opt out of the bottomless brunch because we had plans we needed to function for afterwards. We sat at the bar and ordered Frothie Coffees which were AMAZING. ( hence the 2 stars) but while the bartender was making them a tall woman in red lipstick who worked there came over and was SCREAMING at the bar tenders. At first I thought she was kidding but I quickly realized after 3 solid minutes of berating these guys (one bartender finally just took a shot of tequila and I don’t even blame him) she was dead serious. Upon watching a full on brawl our food appeared under 10 min after ordering. I’m all for quick service but in a place THAT packed with 2 floors, I knew it was too good to be true. the frenchtoast was good, but I got the poco Benedict and could not have been more disappointed. I am a Benedict officianado and despite having favorites don’t think I’ve ever met a Benedict I didn’t like, until yesterday when I met this one. Cold, SO small they had replaced the English muffin part with a small oily patty and forgoed the meat so there was just some sort of candied jerky sprikled on top. The cheese they described was 5 shredded pieces and the egg was over cooked so wasn’t runny. The mescaline salad it came with had no dressing not even lemon juice on it so was legit just leaves and the potatoes was cut at all different sizes and I kid you not the dish was $22 came with 6 potato’s and ONE green pepper lol. I couldn’t even try the dish though because I had to wait another 5 min for them to find clean silverware. Again the dish was so cold, so small, and despite being SO excited to try Pocos take on a Benedict I was soooo underwhelmed. Lastly, it did state it on the menu but make sure you’re aware the place is cash only since no one let us know. I’m so dissapointed especially since my bday is in 3 weeks and after hearing about this “legendary brunch” thought I could’ve booked it here. Honestly with Fonda down the street, just save yourself and get a better Mexican style bottomless brunch there.
Wildly bad. Food took 1.5 hours to come out. When I got my dish (lobster Benedict) it was missing the arepa and the sauce (half of the ingredients). I brought it to the kitchen and the manager told me they were out of arepas. So they just served an incomplete dish knowing it was incomplete. My boyfriend’s turkey bacon was served in a mangled chunk with only parts of it cooked but the insides left raw.
Horrible experience. I went there with 3 friends for brunch. Food and drinks were awesome. As soon as the 1.5 hours were up for the unlimited drinks they asked us to leave because they needed the table. We still had full drinks! And the manager came back a second time as well. Who put this guy in charge? Won’t be going back.
Honestly, this place was amazing. The food was great, really satifying. Aside from that, the brunch was amazing. Totally diligent when it came to reiflling drinks, at an AMAZING price. The hostess, Loris was the best hostess ever love her, and our waitress Raquelle was literally so attentive it was unbelievable. Always keeping on top or her job, give her and Loris a raise for real. Cant wait to come back!!!!!! Best place in Manhattan for sure no questions asked.
Went for boozy brunch wasn’t expecting much as far as cuisine but food was ok minus overdone poached eggs. Drinks weren’t great but weRe bottomless. What I wasn’t expecting was to be kicked out immediately after check was presented to accommodate next group. We would have stayed and spent more money drinking/snacking but instead went to the bar across the street to finish the day.
I can’t tell you about the food, my friends and I quickly left once we arrived, saw the set up outside and just canceled our reservation. No social distancing protocol in place whatsoever. Everyone was on top of each other and we were expected to be seated in the middle of the madness. It’s a no for me.
Went to Poco for Trivia which was really fun! It gets crowded quickly though, so youll need a reservation. When you make a reservation, I would suggest requesting youre upstairs rather than in the basement. The basement is fun too, but the upstairs is where all the action is.Drinks were average NYC price and very good, also I recommend the truffle fries!
A fun spot to grab some plates to share with friends. I highly recommend the lobster guacamole and cauliflower appetizers. The pulled pork sliders and brussels sprouts were full of flavor as well. Homemade sangria goes great with any dish. The staff music choices are fun and make you want to get up and dance.
Very surprised that my mediocre avocado toast was a whopping 23 dollars (prices were much more expensive than google lists). Had to tip my waiter through venmo because the bill was 40 dollars more than I was expecting, and cash only.Drinks were good, service was welcoming, food was not worth the price (which isn’t on the menu in restaurant).I don’t recommend b/c price scam.
I wish I remembered to take a picture of the place, the food and unlimited mimosas, sangria and something(lol)! Everything was great! The server we had was amazing and he kept refilling our drinks without asking. Did you hear me? HE KEPT REFILLING OUR DRINKS WITHOUT ASKING. What more can you ask for when you specifically go for unlimited drinks?. Ill answer that....nothing. Go for brunch, just go for yourself.
Enjoyed brunch here over the summer and recommend sitting outside.Shared a Lobster Eggs Benedict and Lobster Mac n Cheese with a friend. The eggs Benedict was enjoyable but lacked distinction, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Lobster Mac n cheese was delicious, but as with all cheese-heavy foods, it became repetitive quickly. Shared mine so the goodness didnt go to waste.Portions were substantial and filling, would definitely recommend to friends and family who pass by the area.Cost: Expect to spend at least 20 dollars on food here.Environment: The establishment isnt very large, most people opt to sit outside weather-permitting (outside seating capacity is about 20)Service: Friendly and prompt
My trip to Poco could have easily gone terribly as after being there for 10 minutes i realised my GF was in love with one of the waitresses. Thankfully the day was saved as said waitress made sure that the idea of Bottomless Brunch was truly pushed to the limit. As an Irish couple we ended up walking away from alcohol... yeah... we walked away from it.The french toast was legit.... 5 stars
I was here a couple months ago for my first time in NYC. Listen, the food was amazing! I got the pulled chicken sandwich for bottomless brunch with salad. I loved the salad dressing and the endless drinks. My friends and I were suppppeeerrrr lit lol. I blame it on the waiter. He encouraged our drunkenness HAHAHA. Jk He was too cool though and made sure we had a great time. Definitely plan on coming back soon.
Choice spot for all-you-can-drink brunch - and they play great music. The last time I was here for brunch, Whitney Houstons I Will Always Love You started playing (I agree, Dolly Partons OG version doesnt get enough love) and everyone in the restaurant stopped feasting and sang along and it really did feel like theyd always love me.
This place has terrible food and is way overpriced. The orange juice was made from concentrate and was terrible, pretty sure the coffee was from an instant packet, and the food was mediocre. I paid $23 for French toast. And if that’s not bad enough for you, it’s cash only and they don’t split the bill.
Food was terrible, seems like the kind of place really taking on style over substance.Ordered the chicken sandwich and it came out cold inside. The potato hash on the side was cold too and had some potatoes not cooked in the middle. Most food items come with the slimy potato and bell pepper mix so be careful. Feels like the kitchen were really lazy on this one.
Got food poisoning, management refused to give my money back stating it was a “difference of opinion”Also, they are not in compliance with covid-19 rules (tables aren’t 6 feet apart, force you to wait around in a crowded area when busy, etc.). Would pick another brunch spot, try Fonda next door.

2022-04-27I was excited for their bottomless mimosas and brunch but was pretty disappointed with our experience. The staff was not very friendly. The food was barely edible and after wondering why they kept bringing what looked liked tampered champagne bottles to our table, I noticed that the champagne bottles were completely diluted with orange juice. Attached is a picture of what I poured from the bottle. They played fun music.. and that was about it. Would not recommend.

2021-12-13The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable of their menu items. It was a bit difficult to pull up QR menu. We sat outside in the cold, but they brought out heaters to try to keep us warm. The food was delicious and drinks were on point. They have unlimited Alcohol options for those who enjoy brunching hard

2022-07-24They serve bottomless mimosas in champagne bottles and red & white sangria in pitchers on the weekends. Portion sizes were okay and the hash browns were the best part of the food!

2022-04-25Kind of stumbled upon this place, but the food was great. The service was good. The food came out fairly quickly. We had bottomless mimosas - we noticed by the 2nd bottle there was definitely less orange juice.Sooooo the French toast was EVERYTHING! Might have been the best French toast I’ve ever had… feels like now I’m on a quest to find better French toast.Ohh and it’s cash only at the time of my visit…that was a bummer, wish they would have told us ahead of time but there’s a bodega across the street with an ATM.

2022-08-12Poco easily became a staple during my visits to NYC! They serve brunch Fri-Sun so you can get a jumpstart to your weekend. Every time I’ve been there it is like a party and you end up socializing with the tables next to you, indulging in bottomless drinks and eating some delicious food. Their breakfast sandwich, lobster mac, eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito are just a few of my favorites. Great staff who are constantly making sure your glasses are full!

2021-10-04Went for brunch and got the vegan mac and cheese. It was the only vegan option on the menu and it was quite disappointing. How they can charge $25 for something the size of a side is beyond me. The mac had a strange sweet taste and I had to douse it in salt and pepper to get it to taste ok. Tip was included (20%) even for a table of 4. The 3% charge for credit cards on top is just silly since everything is overpriced. Overall, I paid almost $40 for the Mac and cheese and one mimosa and left very sad and hungry. The mimosa was not even good enough for me to want to do the bottomless option for $45. Other non-vegan dishes did look like a better deal for the price but the vegan option needs to be revamped completely.

2022-05-09I came here for my birthday dinner. We were a party of 9. We initially came here for their bottomless dinner option.Unfortunately we were squeezed into a table that in reality should have fit no more than 6 people. We asked to move but there was no other seating. Being crammed was very uncomfortable. When the food came there basically was no place on the table to put the food, much less to eat it in an enjoyable way. I will say the service was particular poor, we had to ask several times for small plates, napkins, cutlery, etc. No waiters ever came to clear anything off the table and it was a mess. When my friends got me birthday cupcakes we basically had to set the box on top of dirty / empty plates. Very distasteful. In addition the pitchers were almost always empty and it seemed difficult to get refills and when we did we felt like we were a nuisance to the wait staff. The food was pretty good I will say that, drinks however were pretty watered down. Not sure the overall experience is worth $70 a person, plus tax and tip, I think you can find better elsewhere.

2022-07-19Love this place! Had my birthday brunch here. The food was so good so are the drinks. This place gives me very much Miami vibe.

2021-07-30Went for bottomless brunch on a Friday (like the only place in the city that isnt limited to Sat/Sun, so bonus points) and sat outside. Tables were definitely a little cramped and rickety and close to nearby pedestrians but it was good.Music was a touch loud but drinks and food were great. We each got an entree (I got the steak & egg Sammy and it was fire) and then an additional thing of lobster Mac for the table - highly recommended.Drink service was on point and I recommend ordering the poco hybrid sangria (not on the brunch menu) but it was mixed with splashes of champagne and oj and blew the other sangria mixes out of the water.

2022-08-02I literally had the best time at this brunch. The energy was so amazing and everyone there was having the best time. It was so lively and the music was so fun. The drinks really do hit you, but in the best way possible hahahah. The food was okay, but I put in my saved places because I would definitely recommend to friends if they wanted to go to a brunch for a fun time
