Awful experience. The repair tech was explicitly told what parts were not working: a valve and the pump. He left after stating the pump was fine. Two days later he had to come back to fix the pump and charged for the service again.The tech then left without turning back on the outdoor breaker and had to come back a third time. Despite the tech saying it was his fault, on our Ring Camera, we were charged for a third service charge.It is hard to tell if the negligence was accidental or by design (to necessitate him coming back multiple times) but a simple replacement valve and pump part should not take three visits and $500.Also, if you are using this service, have a camera that keeps track of the time. The tech wildly over estimates his time on site.***update following response from owner***I have, on camera, the technician saying oh my bad, I forgot to switch the electric back on when I finished. He was there for 10 minutes, again on camera, checking that the leak was fixed because he did not stay to check the second time he was there.To eveeyone reading this: there are so many places to get your hot tub repaired. Look at the comments on yelp and google - there are many people who habe had the same experience (over 1 in 3 people who have used them - we cannot all be wrong). I am an attorney and will be initiating a Civil Court case against Pool and Spa Guys as they charged me for a bill after I told them they were not authorized to charge me for and now have to have a separate spa tech come to finish the repairs after Pool and Spa Guys were there 3 times. The Owner can say whatever he likes hear - but will not be able to dispute a video tape in court.I took the time to reply because I truly hate deceptive businesses and do not want anyone to have to deal with the same thing my wife and I have.The picture below is the no leak they are referring to btw...

Purchased a semi inground pool last year from pool and spa guys 2 years ago. Everything went smoothly. They are on top of their game. Still go there for chemicals, toys and accessories. Hoping to buy a hot tub this year!!!

When my husband and I decided to purchase a pool we did our research and unfortunately it seemed as though every pool company/store had many bad reviews and we noticed that many of them were concerning the installers. We went with pool and spa guys, and my husband explicitly told the salesman that money was not an issue- we were more concerned with quality and the job being done correctly. He also asked about the installers they would use, and if there was any guarentee on the work. We were assured that if there were any issues pool and spa guys would no longer use that installer, and would make sure any problems were corrected.Our pool was installed and immediately my husband noticed that the filter was not placed where wed told them, and the inground pool steps were not placed correctly, but these werent huge issues and we were happy to finally have it done. A day or two later my husband commented that the filter seemed to be leaking and when our pool maintenance company came the following day, they told us to immediately call and complain as there is no way a brand new filter should be leaking like that. We called pool and spa guys who put us in touch with the installer. Im very glad I texted the guy, because after multiple times reaching out (and him responding but not showing up) he said we never contacted him and I had the texts and his responses as proof. Finally they came and repaired the leaking filter.A few weeks later my kids pointed out that there were screws or bolts starting to pop through the pool liner. We were noticing that the pool was constantly losing water. One of the walls was bowed. Again we start contacting the installers. He finally sends guys over and by this point the screws have completely ruptured the liner and come through. We are having to refill the pool constantly. He tells us that unfortunately pool liners are back stocked (14 weeks out) so they will fix the bowed wall (which he immediately admitted needed repair) and will have to replace the liner when its time to reopen the pool. They told us to go buy a pump and empty the pool completely for them before they came. Not sure why this was our job, but we did.We looked up our pool liner and its available elsewhere but when I called pool and spa guys to confirm what the installers had said, they told us they couldnt get a liner for 12-14 weeks. I explained the issue and told them the installers had completely botched the job and our liner needed to be replaced and they didnt seem to care. I spoke to some girl who told me all the salesmen were busy but shed let someone know. No one called me back or reached out.The short time we were able to use our pool this summer was a headache of having to come out at 4am and put the hose on so the pool wouldnt empty too much and the pump shut off. Now the pool is covered and you can see that its almost empty due to leakage. I very much doubt that these installers have honestly ordered us a new liner, and at this point were probably better off finding someone to fix things properly. After paying for a semi inground pool with heater, lights, inground pool steps etc, this is a pretty disappointing outcome. Be warned, once you hand over your money pool and spa guys is done with you.

This is THE place to go for your pool or spa needs. Steve knows his stuff. you have a question hell have the answer. not like corporate pool stores that hire seasonal workers not educated in the field.

Dishonest and was constantly lied to. Ordered a large swim spa in Feb and gave a $19,000 deposit. By the summer I called the manufacturer and was told the unit had been discontinued. In the meantime the manufacturer told me pool and spa guys knew the unit could not be made for quite a while. Tried getting my deposit back and had to get my lawyer involved. Finally after me having to threaten to sue got my deposit back in two payments weeks apart. Why, because as I was told by Tim, they needed the summer sales money to repay the deposit. This review is 100% documentable.As I have seen the response which should have started as :once upon a time all I can say is Buyer Beware.

I had the best experience at Pool & Spa guys in Farmingdale. But I am enjoying my new Coast spa even more. I really appreciated Steve’s assistance in helping me pick out the best hot tub for my needs and answering all my questions. The delivery team led by Gary was equally amazing. Thanks so much for delivering next day, instead of waiting weeks or months, your team came through within 24 hours. I still can’t believe how everything went so smooth from start to finish. Cover and lifter fits perfectly and the LED lighting is awesome. So glad I stopped by your store last week.I would strongly recommend visiting this outlet if you’re considering a new hot tub at surprisingly affordable prices.December 25 update:Well these guys did it again. Was waiting on a warranty repair and Tim shows up....the day of the wicked snow / ice storm that hit Long Island on December 17. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw the service truck pull up while I was snow-blowing my driveway. Once again Pool and Spa Guys exceeded ALL expectations. This certainly could have waited till the storm passed, but as Tim claimed, we had you scheduled for today. While every other business establishment closed due to the storm, Pool and Spa Guys honored their commitment. Amazing! Thanks again to Steve and Tim; wish you guys all the best in the New Year.

At first me and my wife thought this company was great. Told us everything we wanted to hear. My wife has had 4 back surgeries and I told them I would need a special ladder bc we were getting a semi inground. They said np we can get you a double step ladder. Now after my pool is installed and I paid for everything they gave me a regular above ground pool ladder. Even the installer told me it was the wrong one. I called pool and spa guys and they told me to cut it. Which is impossible by the way bc it doesn’t sit level with the ground they just dug up. Then they delivered supposedly the ladder I paid $300 more for and it’s only a one sided ladder and after calling pool and spa guys again apparently they don’t make a double sided step ladder. So now I spent thousands of dollars with this disrespectful and lying company and have left several messages for someone to call me back and they never do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WILL NEVER CAL YOU BACK. Horrible experience and I will tell everyone I know not to use them. OOO So you can respond to customer service questions. Thats great why dont you call me since I left you 3 messages and everytime I call you seem to be out of the office.

Very Impressed and satisfied with my experience with Pool and spa guys. I purchased a semi inground Pool package , and the staff was very helpful throughout the whole process. Any questions I had were answered very promptly, and unlike almost every Pool store you hear about, when you need assistance they respond quickly.Customer service is very important to me, specially with such a big purchase. So if you’re in the market for a Pool or spa look no further.
