Had an amazing time here, John helped me out and made me feel welcome not just to the store but to the hobby. Gave me a ton of helpful information on what to get and never tried to upsell or push things on me, amazing selection of corals will definitely be making more stops in the future
I came in today and Monday and by far the best experience I’ve ever had, the staff members were very knowledgeable with corals and aquatic animals, to also include plumbing. They are very helpful and kind. The store clean, corals they glow with radiant colors. The only thing is that they need more fish. But other then that 👌. I always recommend friends and family to come here for aquarium needs.
If you live in the neighborhood Im not going to tell you not to go there. If you need supplies from an aquarium store you will find it there. The customer service is severely lacking however. I will spend my money somewhere else. Remember, the power of the consumer lies within us, not with rude store keepers.
These guys work their butts off and it shows. It’s not easy to take care of coral and marine fishes. I was recently in there and I pick up some live rocks. The owner was able to steer me to what type of fish will survive in my tank, which was a beautiful Maroon Yellow clown fish.
I recently started reefing and the guys running this shop have guided me through everything I need for my tank. My tank is beautiful and im ready to upgrade to a bigger tank now all thanks to these guys. They offer good prices and they are super down to earth and they sure know their stuff! I am always looking forward to paying them a visit. My little sister loves going to see their tanks as well. A+++++!!!
Went there the other day but didnt like it at all. Horrible customer service, the manager was really rude. There are many other coral stores that are better by faaar in the area, with better prices and customer service, I recomend to go check them out. Do not come here
Note: Pop Corals is located on the corner of 67th Street and 13th Avenue. They provide top notch customer service. Whether you are new or a returning customer: the staff here will go out of their way to make sure the customer is pleased. This location offers an array of beautiful, and unique corals. Fantastic deals on fishes! I would not hesitate recommending Pop Corals as my go to destination for exotic fish and corals.
I went to Aquashella here in Dallas and came across the Pop Corals booth. Their prices for frags is why I support stores like them. No 1/4 sps frags for $60 dollars. Prices were in the $20 to $35 dollar range and they had some nice acros. Other vendors were asking 3 to 4 times as much. From my experience I would highly recommend Pop Corals.
Great experience every time I go in always willing to talk to you and give advice from the experienced aquarist to the new comers I will and always recommend pop corals to my friends prices are great and the place is well organized and cleanps even though they dont run over to you when you come in they know you are there and give you time to look around with out jumping on you

2021-10-28SIGH….What can I say. The owner has very nice healthy fish and he is the one behind the counter all the time.He had no prices listed anywhere and verbally said out loud the price after we asked him the price. It sounded very unprofessional because his prices jumped around from time to time in the past, and it makes it uncomfortable for us customers. The prices were high, as I remember paying about 45 dollars for a similar sized Picasso triggerfish somewhere else.…He did not offer us assistance or interact with us except after we gave him our money- which left me pondering.…His kids worked there and were a bit more helpful, but they’re only there sometimes. The large triggerfish that we bought is about 3-4 inches and cost us $75.00. As you can see- It was packed tightly in a small bag with a small amount of water for its journey. A large bag with plenty of swim space would have been better to keep the fish in less stress. They have a non refund policy for all fish once you buy them.…Would I go back there or recommend them?Yes I would. Unfortunately there aren’t any nearby places and the quality of his fish are good. Only two points to the owner-Offer customer service and keep the prices reasonable.…If you’re thinking about visiting this place: you will be very satisfied with their selection and quality of fish.

2022-04-30Owner tried to sell me a yellow tang for my first aio 30gal, continued with they wont outgrow the tank had to be very pushy and decline several times, other employees in store are nicer, corals look nice, no refund policy. Told me my nitrate reading of (7) was killing the fish I purchased from the store, even though I witnessed white string poo from my fish after a day understanding that internal parasites change the look of the poo. One of the kids bagged up a cleaner shrimp for me about a year ago, he was very aggressively trying to catch this shrimp and it was dead before I got home. Never went for a refund just said I wouldnt be buying livestock there anymore.Owner seems to only care about selling, very condescending. I dont trust it

2022-01-18My husband came home with Wellsophyllia Brain Coral today (see picture), raving about how the owner Joe was really helpful and nice. The LPS selection is amazing and the store carries a broad range of Hanna Instruments.

2021-12-15I ordered several pieces online and the owner John was so helpful and fun to talk to. He went out of his way to FaceTime me and show me what I ordered to make sure I liked it and even showed me his store. I can’t wait to meet him at the coral show here in Michigan in January. I highly recommend this store. All my corals showed up very healthy and opened in my aquarium the same day. You can tell they care about there costumers and the critters they sell.

2022-04-26I was sold a Holy Moly torch coral at the RAP show in Orlando by POP Corals. Im not sure if I got bait and switched or what. After I got it home and got it under my lights, and spoke to some local torch experts. I was actually sold a cheap purple with green tip torch that is NOT a holy moly. I called the owner, he was rude and condescending. He told me, Well buddy, This is what a Holy Moly torch is in New York, and there are over 25 variations. This is completely untrue after researching. I would steer clear from this place.

2021-03-20Going into Pop Corals was an amazing experience. The owner John was extremely knowledgeable, patient and never tried to upsell anything, great selection of corals, fair prices, healthy fish and immaculate tanks. Ended up picking up a Aussie bubble and a mocha storm clownfish, will be heading back to pick up a couple of torches.
