They really need to hire more employee at this post office. There are couple of windows but every time I have to go to the post office there is only 1 person working. There is always a huge line for few minutes of work.I would recommend 100% to go to different post office besides here.
Rudest Indian older customer service rep. I Asked for 2 large flat rate boxes and she said I needed to special order it !?!?!?!and called the next customer while I was still standing at the window.I told her obviously Im here to order it I guess since 2 boxes is 2 much for your workload...so whats the process? She said she didnt know & I should go online and research itUSPS you need to do an investigation at this location. Retrain your staff because they have no product knowledge or professionalism
I was literally intimidated by all the reviews. But since this is the closest to me usps location I decided to give it a shot. I was there two days ago on 5/5. There was close to no line (which is expectable amid quarantine), two windows were open and the woman who helped me was very nice and took my two pretty poorly taped packages without any questions. I hope I did not just get lucky and this is how this location typically serves its customers.
I agree with the other reviewers that they are very rude and very slow. I think they are quite secure with their jobs that they dont care about the customers. USPS should look into this.Edit: so I noticed the 4-5 reviews talking about the African-American woman. I didnt want to post it before but since others have, Id like to point out that she was the rudest USPS worker ever! Cmon USPS, at least look into it. Im sure there are other hundreds, yes hundreds, of disgruntled customers but dont bother to put in a review.
This place has, BY FAR, the rudest customer service reps I have ever dealt with. There was no one behind the counter when I got there and when the woman came out, she was incredibly nasty with me when I was solely trying to find out how to get anyones attention. After some snickering about me walking around helplessly trying to get my package delivered, she completed the transaction slower than those sloths from Zooptopia. This clown was nasty from the start and was downright dreadful by the end. This post office sucks and I would recommend an overhaul of the staff there; they have ZERO clue how to provide any sort of pleasant customer service whatsoever and are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered.
I have been living around the area for about ten years now and I can honestly say that this USPS branch has the rudest reps working for them. They do not treat customers with respect. They give people a hard time with mail and parcels, often asking them to change packaging or refuse to accept mail/parcel over something thats minor when the larger USPS in Foresthills would gladly take it with a smile. Only go there if you have no other choice and always be prepared to encounter rudeness, impoliteness and yelling.
Worst post office I have ever been to. Waited over 40 minutes only to be turned away at the window because my package wasnt packed in brown paper (I had never heard of this requirement). Go to the ups store across the street, its simpler, faster, and the staff works with their whole brain.
This post office is a complete waste of time and nerves, the personal is nasty, the place looks and smells nasty, the time you spend in line just to get stamps is ridiculous forget about any other issues you might have like opening a PO box sending packages money orders etc..Does anyone bother to look at the reviews, why do we do reviews if nobody does anything to correct the situation???People do yourself a favor stay away from this place as far as I concern it should not even be opened for business
If it was possible to recreate the feeling of visiting a Post Office in Castros Cuba this place would have a role in Central Casting! I had a mail box at this site but I had to move to another location as mail was not getting through which is USPS speak for it got lost. In fairness the manager tries really hard when she is in work and not off with some malady. The counter staff vary between plain stupid to the latest offering of a young black girl whose attitude was that she was doing me a favor taking a break from her IPhone to serve me. I set her straight and that resulted in my USPS envelope for my Federal taxes taking a massive vacation around post nirvana so I guess I will be filing a complaint with the Postal Police. The reality I have been informed is that this place is a dumping ground and last stop of line before retirement branch. Make the walk up the hill and use the other location and give this one a miss!
AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!I decided to give this post office a chance despite of all the negative reviews and my package was rejected for two extra pieces of tape. They claimed that my package looked suspicious because of the two extra pieces of tape. After telling the staff members that I wrap all of my packages the same, and how EVERY post office in NYC never had any issues with my packaging, the staff stated that ALL the post offices in NYC are doing it wrong. Anything to avoid the little work that is required of them.AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! and oh yeah, AVOID!!!!
I would put 0 rating but google only allows the lowest rating of 1 star. I was jumped and verbally assaulted by the clerk named ASHA- avoid her. When I got the manager involved the manager just to cover up her ghetto behavior didn’t fix the issue. Asha also tried to steal one of my packages by not scanning it. I know it sucks to sit behind that counter but this is a government office, you just can’t do that! Rest assured I filed a claim with the federal inspection office and the central office. They will be looking into this matter.
Thus post office is really bad. I try to never visit it but Id the closest in my area. The staff once female in particular is very rude. Theres a problem with every package i mail. Either its the wrong packaging, tape, or something is written wrong. Anywhere else for packages will be sent no problem. Please avoid this place for your own piece of mind.
Rude and lazy. Asked for a priority box that was self sealable, have used hundreds of them, but said they never had any of those only the kind you tape yourself. She grunted when she had to get me what they had and then opened the 2-way window and threw it in in anger. Not the first time this heavy black woman has been rude to me. Seems this place has no oversight. Bad as you can get.
This place is so slow, theres 20 people on the line and only 1 clerk working the window. This is ridiculous how I have to wait 30 mins just to buy a money order. The USPS needs to have three clerks working here at the window.This is all the time. I got there and there were 20 people on the line almost out the door.
Now I know why is rated so bad walked in and long wait for just one person ahead of me being attended by the only Postal Service representative that was behind the counter. While waiting there, rudeness and unprofessional environment dont go here. At the end of everything I didnt even dare to send out my mail in that post office. Ill just wait until get until I get back home to Long Island and send it out over there.
I wish they had 0 rating on this review. The worst customer service ever I have ever seen in my life. I had a terrible experience with one Indian and African-American Lady. They do not want to help you at all. I would strongly suggest you not to go to this place, better go to different place even though it is far. I did not want to put review but their service already fed me up. It is not my first time facing rude service in this place. TOTALLY 0 RATE!!!!

2021-12-10Filed a complaint for clerk#25 customer service issue on USPS official website. When I dropped off my package, clerk#25 purposely ripped off my package tape in front of me and rejected to send it. I had double tapes on the package and sealed nicely. She insisted I buy a new tape or go home put more and bring it back. Unprofessional behavior! She needs to be re-trained to be qualified for her job!

2021-11-09Uneducated staff they don’t want to do the work. I have a PO Box in this post office. To having PO Box in this post office was my biggest mistake. I got the email with photo that I got these mails and they are in your PO Box but from the last 4 days I continuously visit this post office but I didn’t receive my even single mail. When I asked to post office staff she said “I don’t know” you can check after 2-3 days. After 2-3 days not receiving my mail. It is very important mail. I don’t know whatI do now???

2021-12-03Went to do a drop off. The lady named Wendy with the blonde hair was sooooo rude !!! She yelled at me for a mask saying you better be wearing a mask if you’re coming to talk to me. I went and got a mask. Then as I entered back in a guy went and asked her for a piece of paper. She said she ain’t have any -.- then when I got back to the counter she’s like lemme see if this is even for me before we go any further. Then she made me haul the package around to the door. She didn’t want to collect it from the door. I had to push it completely in the door then she took it. Idk if she was having a bad day or what but a police officer that was filling out a shipping label said don’t feel bad she yelled at me countless times for a mask. She doesn’t love her job and it shows. Don’t get a customer service job if you don’t like dealing with people. Plain and simple.

2021-08-28Wendy is so helpful and great! I witnessed her giving advice to an elderly woman, taking the time to make sure the woman understood when her package was supposed to arrive and who to contact if they didn’t. She made an average trip to the post office very positive!

2021-03-22On 3/22/21(today just now) an employee named Wendy refused to ship my package as a USPS First Class Package because she claimed that she wasnt able despite everyone else at this location and every other post office Ive ever been to giving me no problem as I always ship the same size and type of package. This was very distressing. I dont know what her problem was.

2021-04-27If I had any choice, I would avoid this location by any means. Dropped off a priority mail in the blue box, right in front of the office. After 2 business days, still I cant track the mail. Went to the post office to inquire about that if they actually collected mail from the box. The african american lady showed attitude and told me its only 2 days, you have to wait longer. If thats the case why I paid for 2-3 business days service? It was a really time sensite mail and I have no idea if the receipt will get it.

2019-04-26Don’t even use this post office if you’re dropping off a package you already paid for online. Their customer service is deplorable. They are rude and don’t listen. I even had printed proof that my package was correctly labeled and packaged and they still wouldn’t accept it. Fortunately I ran into a mailman outside who was so nice and helpful that even though it wasn’t his job, he took my package (prepaid and everything) for me and wished me a blessed day. I’m happy to know that the USPS does have great, helpful employees. It’s just too bad that none of them are employed at the Briarwood branch.Update from the next day. When I went to take them a printout from their own employer to clarify that the box was in fact correct, the employee/manager got verbally abusive and threatening. And told me she had my address and if I came into the post office again she would call the cops on me. I honestly feel sorry for her. She must have a miserable life to be such a miserable person.

2020-07-06Very bad service. I rent the PO Box in this post office. I get emails from my office that my mail has been delivered in your PO Box and even I get the email from USPS.com that my mails are delivered in my PO Box. And when I visit my post office then no any mail in my PO Box and when I talk to post office employee she said very rudely that I DON’T KNOW why mail is not in your PO Box. when I asked her strictly then she said How do you know your mail has been delivered what you have proof? Then I show her email from usps then she said ooo we even didn’t get the mails right now actually mails are at another post office this and that lot of excuses. Lot of the time I face same problem from this post office very very bad service they don’t want to do the work just want to eat the money from government. I am regretting that I rent the PO Box from USPS post office. I strongly suggest everyone please don’t rent the PO Box from Usps if you need full and good service you can rent PO Box from any other services like some local PO Box providers or ups, FedEx, DHS etc. but don’t rent PO Box at USPS.
