Ok just the facts. Its a ok place to work with great people. Very knowledgeable crew (Steve,Mike,Carl,Pat) . The only issue is you dont get paid for drive time or consecutive days on site even if your hauling the machines with Precision vehicles. Example is drive to shop in am pick up truck and trailer. Drive down to Selkirk. Pick up bobcat from finke. Then drive to site all for free. Then do it for free when you drop it off. You only get paid when your on site. And they work all over the state. So you dedicate literally 30% of your working day for free unpaid. They do alot of basement digs with shovels by hand. Sampling of water( poet systems and monitoring Wells). Mowing and brush hogging. A few small excavator digs(20000yds) is considered a huge dig for them. Its alot of hand and grunt work in the average. You have to share hotel rooms with co workers on some sites which kinda stinks. Pier diem (when most companies give it on ride home days for dinner. You dont get that either. Only on nights you stay in hotel rooms. Wage work is fairly common but not at all consistant. Like a day here day there type. Its also not uncommon to have a note left on your desk that you owe the company money for a missed toll (they do cash tolls only) or reimbursement for gloves that you bought for PPE on the companies account. Or that someone owes the owner 900$ because they booked the wrong hotel and the owner found a cheaper one online, so he wants the difference (cant make this up).... The cash toll thing is an issue because the lady that gives you the money only works a couple hours a day and only a couple days a week. (So you end up taking money from the ATM) So it hard to get reimbursed for what you have put out. An employee lost 286$ in toll reimbursement money because it took him so long to catch her that the bill packs had already been delivered and she wouldnt give him the money because the company wouldnt make it back. I had my hours changed on my timesheet several weeks in a row( like crossed out the actual times I worked and made them to what suited there pocket that week apparently) Some paychecks by 4 hours some up to 9... So I quit and went to work for a more reputable company.
