Weve been coming here each summer we visit Lake Placid. Food is good but the new addition (and thank you for your leadership) is the addition of the two new EV charging spots... Just keep the non ev cars out... One spot was iced when we arrived and the other was occupied by anyone baby dinosaur burning vehicle.
I always find what I need and I like the perks of cents off gas. Really helps out.
I love this store!I got nice products from here! Dont forget to check their stuff on sale because its super cheap!
Clean store. Have most of what you need . Store has improved greatly. Some cashier can be rude at times or are very loud.
Store is clean and well organized. It is stocked with al LT he necessary items. Parking lot has at least 10 electric car charging stations.

Best place to shop for groceries. Big variety and good sale prices (get an awards card). I like their approach to covid-19 practices. Clearly marked isles and personal protection used by all. Try their fresh pizza dough in the dairy section, I love it! Mask on 😷
I wanted to order a cake through the bakery so I found the cake design I wanted through cakes.com with the correct store number and location. When I went to place my order I was told they cannot do this design because they arent an authorized store. Yet the cake design I printed out clearly said Lake Placid Price Chopper Bakery and the store number. Extremely disappointed and annoyed. How is it possible they arent authorized stores when I had the order form for THIS store?
Night staff very unprofessional! Checking out woman in line cashing out was obviously an employee cashing out after her shift, gator mask down below her nose as she complained about life in not so nice words to fellow employee cashier it was quite disturbing to watch and listen. All around unpleasant experience front end staff uniforms ratty if not plain dirty. Will be taking my business elsewhere especially during Covid it is stressful enough to shop. I wore my mask for these employees the least they can do is tighten up their act for the customers

Completely iced when I arrived to charge. I called the store to see if they could do anything about it and was hung up on. I just had to wait until someone was done shopping and moved out of a Tesla spot to charge.
The food quality is always good. I hate the membership program, there is no reason for us to need a membership at every grocery store.
Open 24 hours. Beer is served late night. Our go to place when we are in area. Staff are very helpful. One stop for almost everything. Fresh goods and good prices. Huge parking lot is in front of the building. Serve fresh donuts in the morning too. Definitely recommended.

It was okay, but the baking department leaves a lot to be desired. Very sad looking donuts and very limited supply of bagels. No fish other than sad looking salmon from Chilly.

Such a disappointment and sadly it doesnt improve. Cant keep any good help. The few good employees are stressed out. Once an alarm was going off in the the seafood department, which I figured was for a deep fryer. No one was around. A young blond girl employee came thru the backroom pushing a cart of produce. I told her she might want to alert someone of the alarm. Her reply to me was its not my department or problem. Seriously, terrible customer service skills. Now that same girl works in the deli. Needless to say if shes working the deli, I skip it.

We spent about $50 on our first night of vacation and were charged 10 cents for 2 paper bags to put the groceries in.

Became a regular Lake Placid PC Shopper 16 years ago when I became employed by the Golub Corporation. Viewers may think my review would be biased, but Im being objective & honest. Always been satisfied with quality and their weekly sales. Seldom did I experience any problems, but if It did occur, it was handled with professionalism. Never left unsatisfied. Four Star was my rating only because of my employment status & 5 stars would appear unrealistic.
NOT going back in the foreseeable future! Employees ARENT wearing masks during this Northcountry Delta variant surge and theyre coughing all over the place! Likely responsible for spreading it! Stick with Hannafords.
Selection is good but prices are higher than Hannafords if you dont buy items while on sale. Also the kid running the register would not take my passport as ID until a manager told him it was okay.
I used to shop here very often, for a few years I have not. Todays visit us exactly why, the prices here are insane!!! You can shop very close to here at other supermarkets and save half price or more.
Love your workers and the store BUT I went in on this Tuesday to get sale items and alot of them were out or not stocked at 8am .I thought it was closed early and at night so you could restock?
It was one of the nicest Price Choppers Ive ever been to. The employees were courteous & the store was spotless. Handicapped accessible. Golub Corporation should be proud
The bakery is my favorite place to work, I have ALOT of fun & love the work I do but mostly how I can make peoples day with the things they have asked for. Stop in & get a cake. 24 hour notice please!!

Very good 24 hour supermarket. Convenient to Saranac Lake. Excellent selection, fair prices. Not all departments open late night. Gas discount if you use their frequent shopping card.
Used to do most of our shopping there, but lately the quality seems to be going down and the prices are going up. Still like their BOGO sales, but we dont always use or eat those products.
Was travelling from out of town and camping in the area - they had EVERYTHING we could have ever wanted or needed! Store was super clean and the cashier was so friendly and helpful.

Little small and selective for a price chopper hence the 4 out of 5 stars but overall its clean, well staffed and easy to park which is important in lake placid. Unless its a super rare item they should have it.
Workers in Lake placid store are lazy
Im not from the area, so I had to never heard of Price Chopper. By the name, I was expecting a po dunk cheap version of a supermarket. To my surprise it was a nice, normal supermarket. Same thing as Hannaford.
Good produce, exceptionally clean standards for covid times- unidirectional aisles and a mask czar at the entrance to refuse entry to those who wont wear them

You see a company like this doesnt actually value its workers and thats why theres always long lines and long waits because when it boils down to it they dont really give a f*** about you as the customer the only thing they actually care about is the dollar that theyre going to make they are not concerned with any other aspect of anything other than how much money they will make off you they do not care about you as a customer and that is a true fact coming from a guy who used to work for this company

I was disappointed that stock was insufficient in several items for it being the Fourth of July. Yes, its to be expected that there would be heavy shopping, particularly of picnic foods, but going into the long weekend, I would expect theyd have better prepared!

Guaranteed 24 service my a**. Drove close to an hour to get diapers for my kid and they were closed because they couldnt find enough personnel to staff the counter .
Over priced with limited selection. You are better off going a mile or less down the street to hanifords for a great selection and much better prices and better food.

2022-06-27Great Day!I shop at this Price Chopper every week. Most of the staff is wonderful. I know Justin Cavalloro. He always checks in to make sure if and when my grandparents water needs to be re-ordered. Most of the time the staff is friendly at check out and will talk to me or my kids as we go through. Today was especially great because a front end associate went above and beyond. First she helped a lady in a wheelchair waiting in line behind me. She helped her move her chair and groceries to a different check out that was going to open. Then she offered to help me cash out at self-checkout and she scanned most of the groceries for me before she had to go help another customer. Her name tag said Maddie B. and I just wanted to say that her hardworking, pleasant nature didn’t go unnoticed today!

2021-12-07We were sitting home and hubby said that he wanted to go food shopping. Where we live we have to travel to shop so price chopper in lake placid was a sure hit. 40 some odd miles later we arrived. We have an electric car so we use the charging station there. There was one parking spot available but the other cars parked in the reserved spots were not chargeable cars. That was the only downside. That the spots reserved for shoppers with electric cars to charge are usually filled with non charging cars. It would be nice if they could police that area better. Once inside the store we had a successful outing. Love the store. The parking lots sucks

2021-07-26Decent place, watermelon isn’t that great there, and I love the drink selections. They have good yogurt selections as well, and overall nothing very special, just a regular grocery store. Workers are pretty polite, you can tell the difference between the ones who just wanna get work done and the ones who like their job 🤣. Also charging stations are super nice down there. Around 11 Tesla chargers? ( off the top of my head) but a nice, clean grocery store
