The fresh produce is pretty awful.Lots of rotten fruits and veggies. Meat section seems to be always be bare. The isles are so cluttered you literally have to wait if even one person with a cart is in that isle, and nothing is in order..the cereal is up front and in the back..the freezer section has a giant display of a bunch or random items..in the refrigeration area near the butter and yogurts is a bunch of random displayed items..I will say their prices are great for name brand items and the store is always really clean, but its become a hot mess in there.
I gave 2 stars because it has got good varieties of produce. I am not sure of the qualities of rest of the products. I saw couple of bread packets were bitten by rats. They were very prominent and made me feel not to shop any longer. If you are walking from university, this place is closer. However is it worth to shop prepared foods? Not sure. I dont want to risk with my health.
Prices are great, if you can get yourself checked out. Theres almost always a problem with the self-checkout registers. The key is to NOT say youve brought your own bag in the first step. Some of their produce seems a little past its prime. Best chicken/turkey meat prices in town, including major brands as Perdue and Butterball. Otherwise limited selection for a grocery store, but what they do have is priced right.
We all know what to expect from Price-Rite, good reasonable prices for good quality products. For me the difference here is, its not as crowded as other locations I have been to. Being in the Amherst area, this store is mostly a shopping Haven for the senior citizens. So be mindful of that, while you are cruising through the store. Things can be a bit slower in the aisles because of the older ones.
Visiting here for the first time and I enjoyed it. I went shopping for Thanksgiving items and the prices are very inexpensive and reasonable. They have lots of stuff to choose from and lots of different items from produce to dry goods its a great place to stop in and grab a quick item or to go grocery shopping. I will return because they have items at my favorite grocery store does not have.
I gave price rite a shot today, for the first time. I was told by many people how great their prices and food are. The prices are way more than what I was expecting, a lot of which are comparable to tops. I purchased ribs and a family sized ground beef. Both smelled absolutely horrid when I opened them to separate for meal sized portions. Im telling you, the absolute worse smelling, eggy, rancid meat smell that Ive ever smelled. I would have brought them back, but Id be wasting more gas going there than the meat is worth.Definitely was not worth my drive, money, or time.
Warning to people who shop here to check items being punched at the checkout counter. I am a regular shopper here at PriceRite. But this morning, Angela W who I learned was a supervisor who checked me out at the store added 6 pieces of an item priced at $9.99 each to my purchases which I didn’t get. Had I not checked my purchases when I got home, which I don’t normally do, I would have been charged $59.94 for items for nothing. That lady should not be working in a discount store like PriceRite which I really love. Shame on her.
I love this Price Rite. I used to go to the one on Elmwood in Allentown. But that one gets super packed all day long because its in downtown Buffalo. Were good sneakers when you go to any Price Rite. As far as the food I cant complain every the fruit is fresh vegetables are fresh meat it looks good it hasnt been sitting if you need to meet youll get it from the back if you cant find something you like gold and ask for the manager the grocery manager and ask if they can have what you like theyre somewhat there.
Not impressed with this new location. Visited today on a Tuesday morning and most of the produce I saw was browning, rotting and beginning to turn. I understand there may not be as much foot traffic as other busier locations but you cant sell rotting food for full price. I drove out of my way to visit this location today so I felt compelled to continue shopping but I had to dig and pick through tons of food to find ones acceptable for purchase.
The girl who was sitting at the front computer table by the window is lazy she just sat there and looked at people and tried giving orders. Maybe if she helped I wouldnt have been in line for 15 mins with two other customers in the store. I can go down the street to Aldis and receive way better service and better prices.
Oh my God it was so beautiful its the first time Ive been to that one because I usually go to the one in Kenmore but this Price Rite on Amherst it was worth the trip it was beautiful you go there its worth the money and going to worth the trip and going to that price right I believe me Im going to stop going to the one in Kenmore and and go to the one on Amherst it is the me gorgeous and the place was excellent I mean oh my God 5 stars to you price right I love you

2022-01-08I love this little supermarket. It doesnt have a deli, a butcher, a pharmacy, or a specialty bakery. But what it does have is name brand food at reasonable prices. Good produce, a decent selection of cheeses, eggs milk and creamer. Also good prices on spices, and all the basics you need. Oh and it doesnt have long lines at the checkout 🙂. It does have friendly employees that will help you with questions.

2020-03-05Nice store.Great location, great prices. Some of the products are cheaper than dollar store.Produce is also sold at very reasonable price.Clean and well organized. There are a bunch of self check out kiosks which re very convineint if you chose to bill yourself. They dont provide bags which is a good thing eco friendly. You can buy reusable shopping bag in case you forgot to grab your own.

2021-06-09I havent been to a price rite in a few years due to no longer living close to one. I use to go to the Elmwood location and to compare this location is much larger. There is a lot more space between aisles, and seems to carry more items. The store also had an aisle that carried other random items like an outdoor patio set, sets of food storage containers, pots and pans etc. I will definitely return.
