Place is kept clean and rates are affordable. I wouldve given this place 5-stars if it wasnt for the feomt desk clerk who has an attitude problem.

This is a business that is clearly a “money above all things” establishment. There is absolutely no help whatsoever. The manager Claude is quite rude and is a very poor person to have representing any sort of business. I had considered renting a unit for my extra vehicle, but after my experience, I will absolutely be going elsewhere! I also encourage anyone else when shopping around to AVOID THIS PLACE! You can thank me later!
Claude was an absolute help! Not only does he explain everything, he gives you a tour and shows you around the facility. I wish there were more Claude’s in the world! The facility and grounds are kept nice and clean, and well lit at night so you aren’t worried while there. Highly recommend this place!
This was a terrible storage unit. Not only did they charge me another fee when I downsized, they charged $35 for not giving a full 15 notice to close account. I had to throw things out due to my things being loaded with spiders and stink bugs. Also the unit went up in price every year. I do not recommend at all. I’d give zero stars but it doesn’t allow me to.

Best prices I could find anywhere locally for a climate controlled storage unit! Claude is outstanding! Super friendly, helpful and prompt to call as soon as I had reserved a unit online. He didn’t get annoyed when I said I was on my way there (15 mins before closing) and took the time to get me situated and answer any questions that I had. Facility is clean, well maintained, secure and easy to access from Nichols road. I chose this prime location over one closer to my house because of its great reviews & pricing and I’m glad I did!! Plus, you have the option to pay for 24 hour access ( this can be added to your account or taken off each month depending on your needs)…this is a fantastic option because sometimes I am a night owl or early riser and need to go there then …and sometimes I just want access to my stuff whenever I want to access it (not just during the regular access time frame - which isn’t too bad either 6a-10p). Sorry for the lengthy review but I just wanted to give this location the accolades they deserve!!

Their climate controlled was definitely climate controlled. Ive rented from other places that say its climate controlled when its not.Just know the locker boxes are on top of the existing storage units. But the place is clean with proper ventilation and the cart is small but most importantly manageable.

I recently rented a space here and was very pleased with the experience. The manager, Claude, was friendly, polite, explained everything in detail (including No Partial Refund if I leave in mid-month). He was helpful in finding me a prime, well lit location. He was patient and answered all of my questions as a first time renter. The facility seems very well-kept and very clean. So far so good!
Initially wanted to rent a 10x20 drive up in centereach did it online and I requested a unit with light and unfortunately centereach does not have outdoor drive up windows with lights and they do not give refunds so I had to take another unit at the Bohemia location which I love but I did not get a refund on the unit in centereach that I did not use
Claude was so very nice and so kind to us. He was very patient and took his time to get us all set up he even changed our unit when we asked with no issues or complained. The storage was very spacious and the very clean. ALSO THIS IS A VERY VERY AFFORDABLE STORAGE I RECOMMEND

If you ever need a storage unit, stay away from Prime Storage in Centereach. They add tons of fees and are unreasonable about removing them. I cant wait to close this down and not deal with them anymore.
This is a clean and well secured facility with lots of storage options available. Claude answered all my questions and explained the benefits of using Prime Storage and was thorough in the orientation process while beginning my journey with Prime. He assured me that if I had any further concerns he would address them immediately. This is a great facility with a fine and courteous and helpful staff .

I’ve had my unit for a short period of time and can not remember my unit number and forgot the pin for the gate. I called for assistance and explained that I work late shifts so I can not come in during their hours of operations and the manager on duty was rude and refused to help me in any way even though I could provide every other information they may need. I will be removing all my things and taking my business elsewhere!!
I have seriously never been more pleased with the customer service I received from Frank. He greatly helped me and my husband out with getting us into a bigger unit for a CHEAPER price!! He was very helpful and informative about everything! So happy this place is under new management!!!
Just rented a unit. The girl with the blue hair was very nice and helpful when showing me the unit and explaining everything.The manager was also helpful. He helped me set up all the paperwork in order to move in.

Ive been storing here for almost 6 years and this place has gone downhill. The previous owners would never maintain the property, i barely see them here and were horrible people. My unit had water damage and they wouldnt even help me move to another unit. A few months ago a received an email from Prime Storage new general manager Jose. He informed me of the renovations that are going on and what has been completed. Due to the old gutters the previous owners had it would drip water into my unit. The New owners (Prime Storage) added new gutters and also installed new lighting all over the property, now I can actually go there at night and feel safe knowing i can see around me. Plus with the added feeling of seeing barbwire all around the property. I know first hand how bad this property looked. it was really scary being here at night and i would see people jumping over the fence but I have notice the construction they have been doing. I live down the road and I myself have seen the changes. I can tell this new company is really making progress and with Jose great customer service i feel like my belongings are safe again. He is always there, he returns all my calls, and if i need any help he will try his best to help me and others. Every time I see him on the property hes always cleaning with a smile making sure the place looks great. He truly does a great job and should be appreciated and recognize for his hard work. I recommend this location mostly because of the way its being handle now. Im glad these new owners know what they are doing. Keep it up.

The old owner did a lousy job keeping it safe and the place was run down so I moved out. Although a new owner took over and is renovating the whole place plus better security so it may be better now with a different name now.
I felt the manager Claude was abrupt,rude and did not appreciate my business. I will be looking elsewhere to store my stuff.
Just the nicest! Indoor and outdoor access units are all wonderful and the prices are great. I have been a customer for about ten years now, and I have had several units over the years. The facilities are clean, the staff is the nicest and they are helpful and neighborly. Tell them their reviews on Google were awesome and it will make their day! I love this place. I had my stuff here through two hurricanes and a ton of blizzards, and its all still fine. Move in today!
If there was an option for no stars thats what I would give! I was shown a unit that was nothing like I received. It was filthy. I was told to check another unit to see if that one was good and it had 20 pallets in it. I was told by the owner to just take them out. Why would I want to do that! So sitting there with a 26 truck filled with our stuff and no where to put it I was told I would be refunded by the owner. I know it was the owner bc she told me her and her husband were the owners. Almost 12 days later still no refund and they are pretending they dont own the place. It was a disgusting place, probably roach infested, no lights to see in storage, definitely not climate controlled. I warn you to not go there. I fell for the $139 price. Biggest mistake ever!!!

The place is ok. The big plus for me is that they let you park your car inside. Great for when I take trips on my motorcycle.

Reserved a 10x20 unit online. Stopped in a week before just to check they received it. Was assured everything was ok. Came in a day earlier to rent the unit due to the snow storm forecasted for the day of reservation. Was told by the Manager that my unit and online rate were not available. Also told me he wasnt even sure if they had any 10x20 units available. Would give them zero stars if it were an option.

Recently rented a 10x10 unit while I was in the process of moving to Centereach. Toni and Noreen were both very helpful throughout the entire process. Love the online videos, made it much more convenient to first see them online rather than to go in person.
Ok, I really wouldnt have given this place 2 stars until a month ago. Ive had one space in Farmingdale, and 1 space in Centereach for several years. I live in the city now, so I really havent gotten out there in at least 3 years to check anything out. I knew there were new owners and other than not being able to combine the 2 spaces into 1 check anymore, I wasnt aware of any differences between the previous ownership and now. That said, I received an email from Jose, the manager of the Centereach location telling me there had been problems in the building I was in, and they needed me to come out and see what was going on with my stuff. I spoke with Jose on the phone, and he painted a very bleak picture of the damage that others in that building experienced (due to water damage & rodent infestation), and they could move me into another building on the property, help with an insurance claim, or whatever else they could do to make this situation go as smoothly as possible. Bottom line: Jose was as nice, professional, and helpful as could be & he made a really bad situation so much better. Prime really seems to be working hard to improve this location, and as long as Jose is there, they are definitely worth checking out.

I had all my worldly belongs stored here while I was working over sea, $50,000 wine collection, generator all my scuba gear GONE!!! My lock not on my units but there locks same one seen on many units threw out the family . Then they could not look me in the face when I question them and still waiting for there insurance information,,,,,

2022-04-23Im beyond happy with choosing Prime Storage for my storage needs. Ive had storage before and have to say this is the best run place Ive used.Price point is spot on. Unit and facility (I have an inside unit) is always clean and organized. The staff is friendly and they take pride in their facility. Claude has always gone above and beyond for me. I always see Claude walking the property and interacting with the customers, he recognizes them by sight. You can tell he cares and that makes a difference.My only complaint is limited parking at the office when I pop in to pay. Other than that, Ive been impressed with Prime Storage and glad I chose them!

2022-05-16Claude (general manager) helped me and was super nice and helpful! Other things I will point out is to bring your own lock. This is my first time renting a storage space so it slipped my mind so I had to purchase one at the place and that’s additional cost you do not want to have. Other than that, there is a first time fee and insurance fee attached plus the first month of renting is actually free so I thought it was pretty good. Definitely will recommend for other college students needing to drop off their stuff for the summer if they are returning for the next academic year.

2022-03-04So I went this place to rent a small size of unit I work all day. Yes I needed to make an explanation to this rude guy.. I went there at 5:30 pm on monday he said I can’t make it in 30 minutes of time.. I couldn’t go early in the morning because I work.. I went there on thursday at 5:20 pm and the place was closed.. They were supposed to close at 6 pm.. I made a phone call and I got a reservation and I paid online then this guy came back I don’t know wherever he was at.. and he goes like you are late again and I explained him the reason like I was “supposed to”.. He wouldn’t answer the questions I ask.. he wouldn’t talk and act rude and not polite.. I told him to cancel my transaction and give my money back! And I left. I found another u-haul location little far but fine at least people are nice! Thanks or no.. no thanks!!

At first when I rent the unit he doesn’t told anything about terms and condition of if I have to give a notice before I left the unit . Now he’s trying to charge me for a hole month . How can be people like in a costumer service to look Spanish as little, because I don’t understand the language . At first I ask for a traductor and he say I don’t need it . Absolutely rude should no one rent there very poorly recommended
