Wow first time here after all the restaurants finally opened for dine-in. I’m glad I finally came in here to try it.The drinks: beyond Phenomenal the barista Erick made an amazing Old Fashion that blew me out of the water. The food: nothing less than amazing, I ordered the seared tuna, it was perfect. Just take a look at the pictures. The staff: Warm greeting right from the start And very professional. The service was impeccable(anyone that knows me knows I’m big on service) huge plus.I will definitely be back here real soon.
The food was extremely perfect! The ribeye was amazing. I cant wait to go back. My husband did it again in finding a keeper of a restaurant. We went back again. Too many issues. I was embarrassed because I bragged about this place to my Florida family. They flew up. We went. Not a good experience this time. We are not headed back. One day, I will write the owner and let him know of the issues. They lost us as repeat customers.
Very nice place to eat. They are usually closed on Mondays and they open the place for us.Plenty of parking space or at least it was enough the day I was there. They also have a nice bar and a great variety of drinks. The bathrooms were clean. The event that we have was a lunch for Real estate agents from Spain. The food was good and the appetizer were delicious.#brokerGCraig #greatvenue #greatfood
Amazing experience at Primi Italian steakhouse. First time having dinner here and I was amazed with how good the food was from the calamari to the Riggationi. The best part was the dry aged prime ribeye it was the juiciest steak I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely come back!
I’ve been here twice and both times was a great experience the first time I had the porterhouse for two with my girlfriend and this time I had the New York strip both steaks and sides we got were top notch when I went this time we went with my girlfriend father and mother and they both loved it also the service was good
Fried calamari was very good, grilled octopus just ok, extremely crowded, busy, loud on a snowy Saturday night...slow service for the entreesFilet mignon very good except for one that was asked to be cooked well done...whipped potatoes ok and Mac n cheese with truffles very good..Waitress very pleasant, discounted the table because of the wait and the undercooked steak that we didnt want to wait for anymore..Took home left overs only to find out some were not packed up..expensive steak to leave behind😐Overall just ok
Wow. This place is amazing! Went there tonight had an absolutely wonderful meal. The best steak on the island hands down. I got the 26oz ribeye my wife got the filet. Phenomenal!! Better than Tellers. Our waitress Danielle was outstanding. Made us feel like we were regulars and it was our first time there. Needless to say well be going back!Went again, was as great as the last time. The food was delicious, service excellent. Tried the class oreganata which were delish, and amazing steaks!
Made a reservation and upon arrival the hostess was snippy and rude when asked why she did not seat my guest. She then tried to place us at a table that was opposite of what we wanted based on the age of two of the people in our party, which I explained was a bit discriminatory. The ambiance is nice but a bit too dark inside. The cocktail list is underwhelming as is the wine list. Our meal was sub par. I would have given it less stars but the manager came to our table to apologise and invited us back with a complimentary gift card. I hope that next time is better. I had big expectations of the place and was very let down.Drink: Water was forgotten until we asked for Acqua Panna. We asked for lemon twice and only got it after asking again. Glasses of water were forgotten for 2 of our guests. Water was forgotten multiple times and after our bottle ran out we wanted another one, but didnt get it.The wine did not impress so I ordered cold coffee with Frangelico and Baileys Irish cream, half and half on side - I received watered down weak coffee that seemed to be made by an inexperienced person with less than an ounce of alcohol. Though I asked for 1 oz of Frangelico and 1oz of Baileys, thats not what I got. I had to ask for half and half a second time before it arrived. I asked if they had cold brew already prepped to which I was told yes. If I knew that it was not prepped and their way of making the coffee cold was by icing hot coffee and straining ice out, I would have just went with regular coffee as to not compromise the strength and flavor of the brew.Appetizers: Burrata - good but wadded up prosciutto under cheese took away from the experience. Would have been better if the meat was separated better before putting cheese on. | Crispy artichoke - would have had good flavor if done right but it was overcooked with burnt pieces and had too much salmoriglio. | Muscles in white sauce - Were supposed to be gluten free but came with bread!! This mistake could literally kill someone. The muscles werent very fresh, kind of had flavor similar to the smell of horse manure, the shells were so brittle that they broke off into everything, and they were very dried out although the broth had a nice flavor.Salad: Summer salad - Greens were soggy and for 14 dollars, could have been 3 times the size. Very unimpressed.Steak: Bone-in 26oz rib eye - Ordered medium rare, arrived medium. Outer edges were very well done. We sadly ate it instead of waiting for another since some members of our party were getting restless. This was NOT a good cut and had a lot of fat and gristle. It came without the truffle butter and when asked for the truffle butter, a half melted/half solid gravy boat of an unappealing mess arrived.Add-ons: Lobster - Overcooked, rubbery and VERY over seasoned. Had to send it back.Sides: Asparagus - Overcooked, mushy and burnt in some areas. | Whipped Potato - Tasted like someone mixed boxed potatoes with a few lumps of fresh mashed potatoes. | Mixed Wild Mushroom - Overcooked and oily, although flavor would have been okay if done right.Pasta: Asked for Gluten free pasta, but was told that the gnocchi was the only option even though hostess on phone said otherwise while making reservation. Went with gnocchi. Not sure if they really were gluten free because I started to have a reaction. Texture was chewy in center and way too mushy on the outside, as if they sat too long in liquid. Sauce was underwhelming and seemed to be watered down or jarred.Dessert: Pistachio gelato - freezer burnt with chunks of ice in it. Had to send it back. | Nutella chocolate cake - Another person described it as regular old cake. They said there were crispy bits in it that grossed them out at first since they thought it was a bug.Once again I only gave this restaurant 2 stars in the hopes that next time, as the manager said, would be better. Based on my experience without the managers accomodation, I would have given in no stars. Hopefully next time is better if we decide to go back.
Food was ok. Nothing too impressive. Mussels had to go back because they were definitely not ok to eat. The 44oz porterhouse for 2 was the smallest 44oz steak we have ordered by far. Preparation was good and service was very good. I’d go back but I was underwhelmed by our first visit.
Attended a wedding here. Food was good but small portioned and the wedding planner/coordinator was extremely rude and uncooperative. We weren’t allowed to play music and the bride had to basically do a majority of stuff by herself. The bride and groom actually went to have their first dance outside and we had to play music from our speakers in order to get a song playing. O and by the way, the restaurant played their own music over it and turned it up so it drowned out their song. The most unreal experience with a staff of a venue that the bride and groom were paying for. Disgusting level of service. In response to the owners comments. A wedding was booked and fully paid for. I am not aware of your agreement as I was just a guest but when a wedding is being performed and a lot of money is being spent surely that constitutes a little bit of respect in playing at least one song for their first dance. The bride and groom were doing their best to have a special day despite COVID and your restaurant was in no way accommodating. The wedding planner treated the event like it was an inconvenience to her day as well.
Had to wait 30 after our reservation time to be seated then the place was freezing because the entire time while sitting the staff kept opening the exit door to attend to outdoor seating. (Not staffs fault)There is no excuse to dine uncomfortably at those prices. The food was fantastic but I could possibly enjoy it, my son had to wear his down jacket while eating because he was crying. My wife and I either ate freezing cold or w our jackets on.... Strange choice at a steak house!!!
I came here for a christening and I was disappointed with the food that was served. Unfortunately, excluding the Penne ala Vodka, everything lacked seasoning(s). Salt was later provided at every table. I will say the staff was very polite and the service was very good.
On May 2, 2021 my wife and I dined at Primi for the first time. We had a $300 gift cad given to us by family members for our anniversary. The food, service and ambiance was good. But when it came time to pay the bill they said the card had $200 on it not $300. My sister-in-law purchased the card with cash, the receipt has been lost, my sister-in-law suspects that the person that sold her the gift card pocketed $100. I dont think we will ever go back to that restaurant. Its a shame, it left a bad taste for us!!!
Took my family for Mother’s Day which started out well with appetizers (grilled octopus and clams oreganata) 3 out of 4 entrees (sea bass, jumbo shrimps and chicken parm) were bland to the point that we told our waiter who made no attempt to rectify any of it. Not what you expect when you drop $371 on dinner for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The only entree that was good was the steak. The atmosphere is nice so would only go to the bar in the future for drinks and apps. Avoid overpaying for mediocre food.
Me and a friend each ordered a medium rare New York Strip Steak last night but both is us were not happy with the steaks at all they were fatty/chewy definitely a bad cut. Outback has a better steak. Bottom line so not worth $50 for those steaks. Another complain me and my friend had was the $17 each ceaser salad that was no bigger then a small soup bowl. The salad just tasted ok wasnt bad. The mash potatoes were good. Wont ever go back again....very disappointed. The service was good though.
Super super disappointed as this was once a place I enjoyed. Scheduled a NYE outdoor dining experience, made a deposit to secure my reservation (mind you this is over a month ago) , went over the details and all, to get a call today (day before NYE) saying they are doubling the price and alcohol isn’t included (from around 350 to now 700+?!)? This was 100% not disclosed to me upon my initial reservation and when trying to figure it out with the receptionist, I was given an attitude. Thankfully, I was able to reserve a table at another local spot just in time. Sad Bc we enjoyed this place but I will never return (nor will our large group) after this experience. Upsetting experience to say the least.
Had my best friends bridal shower there a few days ago and they were amazing. Everyone kept talking about how great the food was throughout the day. The staff was so attentive and the catering manager Mya helped us in every way possible. We were able to use their indoor and outdoor areas and they had set up both for our guests. It was such an awesome event and were so glad we were able to have it amidst the pandemic. My best friend said it was the shower she dreamed for and was exactly what she wanted. Thank you Mya and the staff at Primi!! We love you guys!
Food is always delicious, especially the Crispy Artichoke app. That said, the service was average. First the waiter gave me the wrong steak...I asked more medium rare and he gave me a medium well. Then he forgot two of our sides. We had to ask for him to bring them... Brussel Sprouts and Gorgonzola. Lastly dessert. When he handed us dessert menu he said sorry that they were out of the brownie. Thats fine it happens. But then we ordered two Snickers Pies and after a few minutes he comes back with only one stating, sorry this is the last one we have to order something else. We politely declined.
Dishes and cups where so dirty! Me and my fiancé got the same thing for dinner the food made us so sick until the next day I never in my life had something like this! I can’t believe the amount of money to get sick if you need a nice place I would not recommend here !
We had my daughters baby shower at Primi this past weekend. So glad I chose this venue for the event. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Food was plentiful and delicious. Staff were great. I would definitely plan another event there. Thanks so much for making my daughters day so wonderful.
I ordered salmon with creammy spinach on the side. The salmon had no flavor, no salt. The amount of spinach is not enough for an adult and that had no flavor either. I dont think I will ever go back there for the food. The service was very good though and the bar in the other side seems like good atmosphere with music and good vibe. Bathroom is also very clean and organized with candles that smell amazing.
Went Sat.10-13-18. Four adults, two children. Service was poor and inexperienced, food mediocre at best. Steaks were NOT top quality, tuna was NOT fresh, halibut was soo small a deck of cards are larger for $42.00! A total of $500.00 and our water was never refilled not even once. If you dont know great food or great service you may like Primi. If you are a experienced foodie you would know this is NOT a great restaurant. High prices are not justified with quality, portion size, great drinks or service. High school age mentalaty servers dont cut it in this type of venue. Save your money. A joke
Meal was mediocre. The waiter we had was inattentive and seemed bothered when you had to ask for something. We waited close to 45 min for our meal to come after our appetizers. When we asked the bus boy to get him for us, he ignored us and we had to chase him down. When we asked how much longer he said there was a big party and our order went in after. When asked again how much longer can we expect he had no reply. No apology or attempt to smooth things over. Spoke to the manager, she was nice and apologized. She got our meal out right after. They comped our dessert, but the food was sub par and wouldn’t bother to try again.
On our routinely Saturday night date, we came across Primi restaurant. Mind you, we were on our way to our favorite cozy restaurant when we spotted Primi. We decided to try something new. The hostess was friendly in a condescending kind of way. The “manager” a tall thin man in a gray suit, looked us up and down and walked away. We were told that we could eat at the bar or seat in the lounge area but to get a table would be, at optimal, 45 to 1 hr wait. We decided to wait a bit in case of a cancellation. After half an hour, we were told it would take another hour at the very least. The couple next to us at the bar, told us they were waiting for a table without a reservation and had come after us, were seated before us but we were told it would be another 45mins to an hour. As much as we enjoy trying out different places, we do not appreciate restaurants that select their customers.
Disappointed for the second time in a one month span. (Holiday season, never the less)how do you not instill or explain to the person making reservations that it is a price fixed menu only. A price fixed menu that was significantly over priced and a huge disappointment. Some of the choices were fine - but not even up to par. It was a 5:30 reservation and not busy yet. We did not ask to be seated upstairs and we were. We also complained right away about the price fix- and it would of been nice for management to come over and speak with us especially because this is not our first, second, or third dining experience. In fact- my family has thrown private parties here. Now that I mentioned it- there were a bunch of slip ups for a upscale restaurant. But who really complains when they are not the complaining type. Now it needs to be known.1) learn how to cook filet mignon properly- especially if you are going to give a smaller/ cheaper cut. The second time in one month that was overdone ! So unfortunately never again. I didnt even want filet mignon from here because my last experience was awful. But we wanted steak and it was offered in the $75 prefix.2) we know a staple of yours is serving brick oven bread with some pieces of good Parmesan. It is something to look forward to prior to dinner and it was sad that it was not offered on the night of the prefixed.3) the prefixed was a ripoff. Sadly- I wanted a ribeye and you had to order the tomahawk for an additional cost - I think $44 or more. A strip steak for an up charge and I think the porter house for two was additional $75- again not what we wanted. We eat- and spend- but like to share things and this menu was not made for us in more ways than one ! Not everyone eat dessert. And at least offer a glass of wine at minimum with this price point. I can go on but what is the point. It does not seem that management responds to concerns. I guess we will call or email. **4) we have been wanting to say that taking the cheese board off the menu was a disappointment- in general.Service is not an issue- we have not had a waiter/waitress to disappoint.I just do not think we will be coming back here for quite a while. Its sad- because it is local etc.
I went here last night with my family and let me tell you everything was AMAZING. Starting with the French martini that is out of this world, then the pizza Amalfi and the spicy calamari that truly melts in your mouth, and the entree being the pistachio crusted tuna... wow. I absolutely left this restaurant last night wanting to come back the next day because the food was that great. It is rare to find a restaurant that every course is delicious but PRIMI met that standard. Everyone needs to try this amazing steakhouse to be blown away by what extravagant food tastes like!
Wow! We had a celebration here last night and, like I said...WOW! The food was outstanding, the service top notch and the ambiance was perfect. You MUST try the Short Ribs, but everything we had was delicious. The Porter house was HUGE and cooked to perfection. Id give them 6 stars if I could!

Food is fantastic, even though it was cold... it was delicious. However, the service is absolutely awful. The waitstaff is so slow, I saw the busboy more than I saw my waiter. My reservation was for 830pm. Didn’t sit until 855pm. Waiter didn’t greet us until 915pm. Dinner came out at 1020pm. I’m assuming my Filet was finished about 15 min before it got to me. I wish I could tell you my servers name, or the maitre d’s, but the one time that the server was at my table, he didn’t even tell us his name. I’d stick with Scotto establishments.
If I could give it ZERO stars I most definitely would. Sat down at 8:30 PM. After the waitor took our order on a pre fixed menu, didn’t see him again for ONE HOUR AND 40 MINUTES. Contemplating leaving at that second, they brought out our food with the COMPLETELY wrong order. Being leanienet, asked to pay for just the apps we ate, the waitor with an attitude was quick to say absolutely not this is a pre fixed menu sorry. My boyfriend then stated okay just give me the check. Took another 20 minutes to get our check charged $45 for the two appetizers which we SHOULD’VE just walked out and not paid for anything. So unbelievable! I’ve been to this place once last year and was not this type of service, food, or attitude. Ruined a perfect Valentine’s Day dinner, congratulations Primi! Completely gone downhill. Do NOT recommend. Would rather spend $400 at Ruth’s Chris than even debate eating here again!
Dining room is too small which made it too noisy that you can barely hear person next to you. Service was O K. food was Meh... super superrr OVER PRICED for that quality of food and service.. better off eating at Peter Lugars if spending that much money on dinner. Not going back.
Our food was delicious. A party of four we had Bone-in Ribeye, New York Strip, Chicken Parm, Salmon, Creamed Spinach, Asparagus and Brussels Sprouts. The steaks were done to perfection. The Salmon came with half a lemon and when squeezed onto the dish made it pop with perfection. The Chicken Parm was delicious. We began with splitting a Ceasar and our guests had the porcini mushroon soup. Was a bit surprised that the side vegetables were so expensive when the main dishes were pricey and without a side. Overall the food was fabulous and the waiter was attentative to our every need. We will be going back.

2022-07-08Love this place. Found out about Primi from an event a family member had that was perfectly executed. Great event spot! Been here a few times since then for dinner and can’t get enough. The food, service and atmosphere can’t be beat. The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere and vibe. Highly recommend!

2022-05-03Me and my girlfriend went to Primi for our 5th anniversary and I was slightly disappointed. For the prices you are paying, you should expect some things that werent offered. For example, they should ask if we are celebrating anything or refill our wine when our glasses are empty. The food was pretty good, I got the dry aged Strip and my girlfriend got the filet mignon with crispy onions and whipped potatoes. The prices are too high for what this place is, the quality of the food just wasnt on par with their competitors. Overall 82/100

2021-10-26My date had been talking up this restaurant when deciding where to take me, and he was right to do so. This place was perfect in every way, from the ambiance to the service and through to the last bite of our tiramisu. Our server Christine was awesome and her recommendations on what to order did not disappoint (although I doubt anything on the menu would). They had my favorite wine (Montepelucci) which made me very happy. Salads to start (wedge for me arugula for him) set the meal off right. The blue cheese was spot on. We ordered streaks (filet and ribeye) of courses cooked perfectly. Our sides were roasted potatoes and grilled asparagus. Dessert was a shared tiramisu with tea, double espresso & port. Im still thinking about this night 3 days later...not only cause it was a great date, but it was a great place to have the date.

2022-02-06Very nice place. The food and cocktails were delicious. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. The place is very busy but our server was excellent and always checking in to make sure we didnt need anything. The beef Wellington was awesome.

2022-02-21Valentines day dinner prix fix menu like all of Long Island was expensive but definitely worth it. Truffle risotto was a great first time experience with risotto and I cant imagine any other risotta topping this. Had the NY strip with cheese and asparagus and just perfectly executed. Wife loved the salmon. Dinner was the best had a chocolate mousse cake and NY cheesecake and they were legit. Ambience is great, staff was friendly, was a great dinner. Definitely will be back.

2021-07-15Had the best dinner for my birthday with a group of adults in an outdoor igloo during Covid. Just returned for my husband’s birthday with our 1 year old daughter and they were just amazing! Not only did I have the most delicious beef Wellington, cooked to perfection - but they were incredibly accommodating and kind. Everyone talked to my daughter and treated her like a little adult. We felt so welcome and had a wonderful dinner, even with the baby with us. So thankful for our great experiences at Primi! Will definitely continue to return over and over again as my new favorite restaurant on LI

2022-02-19Service was spectacular, the setting was very nice and are bellys were full when we left. Me and fiance both got the chicken Parmigiana, it was delicious with a little spaghetti as well. Not too saucy with the right amount of cheese. We also has to try the Mac and cheese bowl. For dessert we split the snickers pie, ahhh to die for. Perfect top off to a great dinner date. I would highly recommend coming here.

2022-03-10We held an event here after my father in laws funeral. There were 32 guests and we had a bill of around $5000. My issue is that the food came and went so fast, that no one ate! There were near full trays of fish, chicken, pasta and more that were THROWN AWAY. I asked that the food be packed up so we could take it home as I had many guests and they agreed. When it was time to leave, they informed me that it as their policy not to wrap up buffet food. Everyone who was there was starving hungry - no one noticed the food on the far side of the restaurant. I asked for a call from the manager. She called once and said my voicemail was full - perhaps. But she never called back. I called her and she took personal offense that I was unhappy. The worst experience. Food was actually good but who cares if thousands of dollars of my food was thrown in the trash. After all this, they offered no apology and no accommodation. (I dont consider were sorry youre not happy as an apology.). Prices are high and for that level of service, not worth it. The manager did not speak to my husband or I throughout the entire party. She assumed what she should do and she did it poorly. Im not happy and I want everyone else to avoid the type of experience I had.

2022-03-03This Ravioli was $27. But there were only 5 bite sized Ravioli. I cut one in half to show size. So basically over $5 per bite? Idk about you but 5 ravioli isnt gonna fill me up. On a plus side it was really amazing and the staff was very friendly. I hate to give it such a poor review, but the next time I go there (if there is) I hope they give me more than a 5 bite dinner.
