How is this a community center if the security guard makes you leave as soon as you hit the door, if you haven’t signed up for a program (which there are few because most of the rooms are empty & there’s no WiFi setup). The Mayor showed up had a Grand Opening said this will be a cooling center blah blah blah soon as he leaves they put it on lockdown, everything operated by the city 🗽is just wrong. The NYCHA housing is proof of that💯Went back to the “community center” had it out with the Staff who said I was leering at the fat middle aged with 6 kids “ladies” that work there🤢they proceeded to tell me you cannot stand on the public sidewalk in front of the building(good luck enforcing that one) basically I told them the security guard is exceeding her authority by trying to get into the customers business & she needs to let the Staff do their job. Security guards sleep 😴 eat🍕& watch movies 🍿they don’t sign ppl up for programs 💯

2021-11-15Its cool to have the community come together in one place that help the youth and teens as well as give them a place they can go to instead of hanging out on the streets. They have a a lot of programs your child can benefit from and some programs for adults.

2019-07-07Nice to know that there is a safe space for kids in the neighborhood to learn new skills and interact with other children. My son was privileged to be a part of the summer camp last year and he had a great time, attended trips and was introduced to new activities. They also have programs for adults as well. My son will continue to attend the center to interact with other children.

2019-11-22I had the pleasure of spending a week at PJACC and everyone here is awesome. Ive been to a few community centers (my mom used to own one) and this is not only the most technologically advanced one that Ive been to but its also clean, well lit, smells nice and the security is air tight to keep any unwanted visitors out. They have tons of programs for kids and adults and do tons for the community like giveaways, dinners and also help people with their Single Stop program. Webster and Demond are great guys who only want the best for their constituents. It was a pleasure spending the week with everyone here at PJACC. I would send my kids here if I lived in the area.
