We went for brunch on Christmas Day and got seated right away. The afternoon tea for delightful. The scone was probably the best I’ve had. I forgot to order the crepe Mille cake I wanted so I ordered some for Uber eats delivery later that evening. It was very underwhelming. I got the purple yam and mango flavored cakes and they were very blah. The mango flavor was there but it wasn’t delicious. The purple yam was bland as can be and it had huge lumps in it. The crispy chicken was actually pretty good.
I love this place. I enjoy afternoon tea, so I have been trying places out. I wish that I had tried this place sooner. The food is good. Tea is fantastic, especially the jasmine and G1 tea. I love that tea comes with a free refill within two hours. The staff is friendly as well.I will be back for more.
Friendly staff. Spacious place. Plenty of seats. Clean bathroom. Love the fact that this place opens late. The only thing was a male staff wasnt happy when we asked for additional utensils. Not so sure what the big deal about it since its normal for customers to share a dessert.
Prince Tea House is so incredible and you must go!! I had the rose lover milk tea which was DELICIOUS! It is the perfect place to sit and rest while walking around Manhattan, all the while drinking some delicious tea and having a snack (if youd like). I highly recommend.
Strawberry Shortcake Parfait - 4/10I was not a fan of this parfait. There was a lot of cream, the cake was pretty wet because it was soaked in syrup which also meant the dessert was super sweet. The only upside was the strawberries were sweet, but overall I was pretty disappointed with this dessert.Mixed Fruit Mille Crepe Cake - ?/10My boyfriend got the fruit crepe cake and he really enjoyed the first few bites but said it became a lot later on. There was a LOT of cream and it was also a pretty sweet dessert.Prince Fruit Paradise - 7/10This hot fruit tea was a nice contrast to the desserts because it wasn’t super sweet. The fruit flavor was light and overall it was a solid tea.
We had coffee, tea and dessert at this place and all are excellent and delicious. Our server, Marcelo was quick, efficient and knowledgeable with the menu and what he recommends. Total experience was awesome and would definitely come back and try other food in the menu.
Excellent brunch spot for afternoon tea. They also have a variety of meals such as sandwiches, egg benedicts, and appetizers. They have a great selection of teas, although we pretty much always get the rose milk tea. Hot tea pot lasts longer and comes in a cute teapot so I would recommend that over cold.Desserts are great too!
Excellent service in a lovely environment. You can tell everything is lovingly decorated! There is a ton of teas to choose from, and they are served in beautiful teapots and teacups. The pastries are great as well. Wonderful place to sit and chat and I love that they are open late - its a nice oasis from the bar scene in the rest of the neighborhood.
Nice place to study or grab brunch with friends.I didnt expect it to be a sit-down dining service, but it was nice!I really enjoyed the tea and how the warmer made the tea hot the whole time I stayed there. The servers were very nice and allowed me to move to a different table when I needed to charge my laptop.
This place was wonderful! You don’t need to make a reservation for this spot. The host was really kind and seated us immediately. Service was on point—they checked in on us but it was never intrusive and felt like they were trying to rush us anywhere. We ordered the Jardin tea, which was so flavorful. The tea was kept warm on a burner and a delight to sip on. The boba crepe cake was unreal. Look at those layers! Light and fluffy, not too sweet. I’ll definitely be dreaming about this dessert.
Horrible! As a pastry chef I can say that their desserts are not fresh! I had a Mixed fruit Mille Crepes cake and the taste is like frozen! The strawberry is almost white and the kiwi is turning yellow! The service is really good but the food is a disaster! We ordered a waffle as well but it was too salty!
The atmosphere of this place is always nice. They’re checking for vaccinations and make sure you’re spaced out. The service wasn’t the best, we had to wait 15-20mins for someone to come take our orders but the desserts and tea did come out pretty fast. Then to pay our bill was another 20 mins. It took some time to get some attention around there. But the desserts were amazing as always and the rose tea was bomb
Came here for a birthday afternoon tea. There was something missing for this to be a nice experience. Maybe the choice of music (rap) was a bit questionable for what I personally would associate with high tea. Maybe it was the waitresses wearing sweatpants. But this place definitely pales in comparison with its peers in London. The tea itself was good (and free refills) and lots of choice. The small sandwiches, scones and cakes were ok as well. Wasn’t too busy when we were there, but that was Thursday.
I love this place, I’ve been here about 4 times already. The vibe and the staff is warm and friendly. It’s chic but you wouldn’t believe how affordable! I love the shrimp lollipops and their fries. I definitely recommend getting their milk tea if you want more bang for your buck. They set it up a cute tea pot with a candlelight to keep warm, and you’ll get 4-6 cups of tea out it. The English Toffee is my favorite flavor, but rose and lavender are good too! The pana cotta is my favorite desert there.
I loved this place! The inside decor was so cute, the afternoon tea was the perfect size and very affordable. The service was very attentive and sweet. Many tea and dessert options. They have these 2 outdoor eating options: the more open patio area and the personal enclosed booths. Perfect tea house with an Asian flare. Cant wait to go back!
The food was really good, i loved the squid, it tasted so amazing. And the drinks? MUAH. The service was also really good, they were really nice and made sure everything was goodUPDATE: I went there again today, i door dining open and the place is big! the customer service id just amazing, they are genuine people who truly cares about their customers. its just too good to be true. the food also tasted amazing, no complaints.
Went spontaneously after work with a few friends. The tea is phenomenal. If youre looking for something comforting, I loved the Earl Gray Milk Tea. If youre into sweet fruit teas they have a whole section for that. The one I tried that was very smooth was the Iron Goddess Oolong tea. The food is good. We tried a salad, the French fries, and the Boba crepe cake. All were delicious. They do a great job here. Its average priced for a Kips Bay/East Village specialty shop. But expect $20-30/person if you get food.
The English tea setting for three was fun. Finger sandwiches were good. Avocado salad was good. Chicken and Waffles chicken felt like store bought maybe frozen ready made chicken. So they were disappointing. Then I started to wonder if macaroons were purchased also....
The place is so cute! They have afternoon tea (for parties of 1 too!). I didnt get it because I already had lunch but it looked amazing and cute! I love all the little teapots here! I got the purple yam Mille crepe cake and an iced lavendar green milk tea. Both were great, the cake wasnt as sweet as I expected which I actually liked. They have an amazing selection of food, desserts, and drinks!! And the staff was amazing and kind 🥰
Love this spot for afternoon tea! the milk teas are great.HOWEVER, 3 stars because the last time I was here, service took so long we were there for 2 hours. Also found a small spider crawling on the bottom dish of our tea set where the sandwiches were and completely lost my appetite from that, and have been hesitant to return because of that.
The boba Mille crepe cake was so good that my husband ate it before I good post a pic! They have a variety of drinks including cucumber drink and milk teas. Plenty of hot drinks for the winter and cold drinks for the summer. The place is packed but they also have plenty of outdoor seating. The waitstaff are also friendly, hard working and quick with plenty of advice on what to get. A wonderful place to do a formal tea time.
Had a delightful experience for my belated birthday celebration. This location has honestly became my most favorite because of the customer service. The only other location I have been to is the Astoria location a few years ago. They were really attentive and I was surprised when they came out with my dessert, with a light up candle. This location was the first time I ordered their savory food section, I got the fried chicken burger. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I loved the sauce they had on the side, it reminded me a little bit of a peanut sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was not dry. The burger itself was a little big for my mouth, so I turned them into chicken tacos. The salad was also fresh, with the balsamic vinaigrette having a hint of smoky flavor.I got the mille-feuille for dessert which was two puff pastries with cream in the middle surrounded by fruits and whipped cream. Though I loved how light it was, I wish they had more cream in the middle or on the side. The cream had a custard like texture which complimented the puff pastry. The outdoor seating arrangement was beautiful, and speaking with the manager, they also have an area where you can reserve for small parties.Price wise, as compared to other afternoon tea places, is on the low-end, so easily affordable (Tea for one included dessert, tea, and finger foods for about $30, for two was about $55). Highly recommend this location if you are in the East Village area and want to indulge in some tea..
Lighter, less sweet, delicate fresh cream based cakes with a wide range of teas. Ambiance is whimsical and traditional yet approachable. They offer a full English afternoon tea service with Asian inspired flavors such as red bean, green tea, mango, black sesame etc in addition to traditional flavors.
Came here with my sister and it was phenomenal! It was my first time having the afternoon tea experience and it was pleasantly surprised. I would die for those mini sandwiches again, and next time I’m in the city this is a must go to! Best scones I’ve ever had and the Tea was super refreshing and clean. The woman who worked there was so nice and informative! I forgot her name but shout out to her :)
Kind and prompt staff, relaxing atmosphere, and a great wide selection of food!I came here to chat with a friend, so I only got a drink as a refreshment. But I was pleasantly surprised that the Rose Green Tea was just the right flavor of rose! I’ve been searching for a good rose drink in the city and I think I’ve finally found it. It wasn’t too sweet, and the cream with cookie crumbles on top was a nice little extra to this dessert.I’ll be coming back to try more of their foods and drinks!
(edited now since they say they always want to improve) The owner (or at least whoever conducts interviews) is extremely condescending to prospective employees who arent college students, outright insulting them and their character/circumstances for applying for a service job after graduating. Especially considering the difficulties we all have faced the past few years I find it very appalling to judge others so harshly when they experience tough times and want to work for you. The horrible attitude and treatment of other people for no reason at all absolutely ruins the cute vibe this shop otherwise provides. Id always like to know the kind of people we support with our business, so it feels wrong to not call it out.
My first visit to Prince Teahouse. Adorable setting - it feels like you are in someones parlor. Great place for a lite bite, tea or sweets break. Huge selection of teas! We ordered the afternoon tea for 2. Perfectly served with warm scones and clotted cream, tea sandwiches and petite sweets. The tea pots were kept warm with a tealight under the ceramic stand. Dont let the teahouse moniker fool you. Prince also serves flatbreads, salads, sandwiches and light entrees. Service was super friendly and nice! We will definitely return.
Prince Tea House is always a cute place to enjoy some tea time with your friends. This PTH is clean and interior is nice. Prices are a little on the higher end for the type of food/drink items on the menu. I’m sure you will still have a good time if you’re just coming here with a smaller group, however if you’re planning an event at this location, hoping to cater to a larger group, please beware. Now why am I giving 2 stars? Lack of professionalism with event planning. PTH has a great ambiance for planning events there that seats maybe ~20 people (could probably hold more but the space can be cramped). My friends and I were planning a bridal shower there because the pictures we saw online were cute and we thought they could do a good job to help us celebrate. We coordinated and kept in contact with a event manager for over a month and we told them the specific date and time we wanted. We had the time slot appointed to us. We told them we’ll meet in person for a deposit placement and to go over details such as ordering what to eat/drink, and checking out the space to see how we can add some more decorations to make the place presentable for our event. Apparently the day before we were scheduled to meet in person, our time slot was given away. How were we notified? Through one text message. When we went there, they said her manager took away our time slot and gave it to someone else who paid the deposit earlier. This should not have happened. We had been keeping in contact with the event coordinator and she knew exactly when we were coming in physically and we had already planned our event on this specific date. She tried to offer us other dates for our event, but we clearly told her we needed that specific date because that’s the date we had already invited people and this was planned in advance on our end to cater to our party. They did not work hard to help us with our solution. Thankfully we had it worked out with another PTH location (under different management), but this PTH did not offer us more help and guidance for this event that was occurring in 2 weeks. They did not rectify the problem that originated with them. The coordinator said her manager had given the time slot away and it wasn’t under her control— this showed me that they are not organized and do not communicate effectively amongst themselves or with their clients.I know they’ve also planned other successful events in the past, but after this experience, I would either avoid this PTH or if you really insist on having it at this location, be quicker about deposits because they won’t honor your appointments as it seems for them it’s a “whoever pays the deposit first gets this slot” (even if you’ve already scheduled an appointment to meet with them to pay the deposit).
It’s a experience I would say. It might’ve be better if we sat indoor. However, the outdoor tables are not that great with tea marks left on it which can’t be mopped off.And the service wasn’t that great either. They were nice enough to pour the tea for us but kept spilling the tea out of the pot. And the tea cups weren’t spark clean. The taste of the food was just okay. The presentation looks good enough. If you really wanna try, do reserve a indoor table. That should improve your experience.
Just Meh. Decor ok, tea ok, service ok. Food ok. Clean looking place, except some stains on fabric on beige chairs: my mom notices this kinda stuff. My criticism is with selections. 1 green salad, among 3 chicken/other proteins, all with mayo. Not fan of mayo very much, so I avoid.Only 1 choice of scone... just not what Im used to if Im going to pay $30 for Afternoon Tea.I had the green salad with apple slices, cranberries (they were craisins) walnuts , Feta, apple vinegarette. I added bacon $1./ strip.
Finally, Prince Tea House is in East Village now. This is their 7th location. They have 2 in Brooklyn, 3 in Queens, 2 in Manhattan, and 1 in Philly. I have been most of their locations. East Village interior design is by the far the best. They are famous for their desserts, from mille crepes cake to lava cake and now, they have brown sugar boba crepes cake. MUST order. Dont forget their crabmeat flatbread too! Strongly recommended this location. Cant wait to have indoor dining!
Opened in September 2020, this is a local chain tea house offering savory and sweet snacks and a wide variety of teas. Even the outside seating looks cozy. You can select the sweetness for the tea and their sweet level is about half of that in Starbucks - just for a easy conversion. The mille crepe is delicious, comparable to/slightly better than Lady M but probably 1.5-fold more expensive. A comfortable place to meet with friends for a tea time.
Holy Moly! This place is fantastic! The food is so good and the tea is even better! You have to try the purple yam and brown sugar boba crepes. It taste amazing! The thing that makes this place great is the service though! I don’t know if it’s because they’re greatful for the customers or just this way all the time! They Were attentive enough without being too overwhelming. They have outdoor and indoor seatings. Definitely checkThis place out! It’s really great!!
This is definitely a must try if you’re in the area. This cute little tea shop provides fast and great service while also setting a cozy and colorful atmosphere. The teas come in a candle burner to keep your tea pot hot. I personally would recommend it only for the tea, the food was a bit bland and dry (we had the chicken katsu sandwich), but the tea really made up for it.
Another lovely visit to here. We got the molten lava cake and the delicious bubble tea crepe cake. I also enjoyed the hot Jasmine green milk tea with almond milk :) delicious! (yes, I took a bite of the cake before I took the picture of it)I did notice some more songs that werent sad love songs this time - which made me happy!
Cool and cozy tea house. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The food and the tea is awesome. The food menu is not big, but they have a nice selection. The dessert menu is to die for. The presentation is beautiful. The only disappointment was the Afternoon tea menu. Comparing to some other tea houses, the hors doeuvres are very tiny and un inviting for the price we paid and the taste is nothing special. I would suggest just ordering food, dessert and tea from the menu, you won’t we disappointed. Can’t wait to be back.
This place use to be great, but the customer service has been awful lately. The workers who greet you at the front are so unwelcoming now and have an attitude. It is a turn off, but the food and tea are great. I’m a regular here and won’t stop coming, but it is super disappointing watching one of my favorite places turn into a mean atmosphere.
Aesthetically pleasing, definitely worth visiting at least once. Not sure if would visit again. The hot tea (with/without milk) is served in traditional tea pot and cup set. The milk tea are pretty colorful (pink/purple) and surprisingly taste good.Easily pay $10 per tea and another $10 for a desert. So you pay for the pictures and not really for the tea itself.
Went for afternoon tea because well we love tea and food bites. The tea menu was extensive and both teas ordered were very good. My issue comes from the finger foods served. In past places we have left stuffed and satiated, here we were searching for round 2 of the meal after leaving to fill us up. The waitress seemed confused by the whole concept and our order. Overall it wasnt bad but it wasnt amazing either. Howerver it is far less expensive then the benchmark for afternoon tea, the Pierre
Very friendly and helpful staff. Go William. He showed me which brand of oat milk they use and even showed me the ingredients. Props. Amazing purple yam souffle with ice cream. Must try. That is my go to desert. They have a list of gluten free, vegan, gelatin free items that I am also sharing. Comfortable seating and spacious relaxed vibe.
This is a sweet dessert & tea place. The menu is a little pricey but the food quality is good and the staff is courteous here. My best friend and I enjoyed a good after dinner time here in one of the outdoor booths during a rainy night. It was a fun memory that I will cheerish. I look forward to come visit on a not rainy day again!
They actually messed up on my order but the lead server came out and apologized profusely and gave us a 10% discount and free tea. I thought that was very kind of her, we wouldve been okay just waiting for our cakes. So shout out to her.Otherwise the food was great. Cakes were yummy and I enjoyed my time there.
I loved this place, me and my girlfriend did the afternoon tea for two. The finger snacks were delicious the scone was fresh out the oven and loved the Green Tea Creep Cake. The portion was perfect for the two of us and the milk teas were super delicious and refreshing. The ecstatic was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Recommend for brunch and a cacual outting.
This spot has been on my radar for a while, and we visited their East Village location for afternoon tea delight during the summer! The inside was clean, modern, and yet cozy. It was a Friday afternoon, so it was not too busy. They had another room in the back to the left, near the bathroom. You might think of afternoon tea as a couple or group thing, but you can do that all on your own too. They have two small tables in the middle, where a patron can come here and have her/his afternoon tea by him/herself, taking the time to do self-care and self-love.We ordered Afternoon Tea for Two, which comes with choices of tea. They had loads of tea options, and I asked if there was any restriction of what kind of tea we can select for their Afternoon Tea, and she said we can choose whatever we wanted! So, I went with Prince Passion Fruit Tea, and my hubby went with Earl Grey Milk Tea. The teapots came with white stands that held a tea light inside, to keep the teapot hot. How awesome is this? The Prince Passion Fruit Tea tasted like a hot fruit juice! VERY sweet, which was a bit of surprise. I wonder if we could’ve request the sweetness level? Although it was sweeter than I prefer, but it had a strong fruity flavor, so was still pretty nice. Earl Grey Milk Tea was sweet too, but not crazy sweet. I really enjoyed this one!Their afternoon tea seems to be made to order, as it takes a while for each of them to come out of their kitchen. They looked great we were excited to try all of them. They had Finger Sandwiches, Scones, and Assorted Desserts. They were all tasty, some hit and miss, but mostly great. I wish if the scones are served with clotted cream...After we finished the Afternoon Tea, my hubby really wanted to try their Ube Mille Crêpes Cake, so we added that to our order. It was really creamy and tasty! We had a really nice afternoon tea experience here. Our server, Michelle, took a great care of us, and we also got to meet their assistant manager, Katy, who was also very lovely. The price is very affordable and the amount is just right! Will fill you up nicely, without being stuffed. We will be sure to return for more!
What a unique ambiance paired with a true tea party experience while still having some classic eats. They have something for everyone, even for younger foodies. My toddler enjoyed the curly fries, finger sanwishes, and passion green tea flower pot iced tea. Must try!!
Went here with my bf yesterday and was rlly disappointed. The service was awful and it seemed pretty targeted which was not a great feeling at all. There were a pair of girls who were being checked on every now and then but we weren’t even given a typical water refill? Not to mention I saw a server spending her work time chatting with a friend which I don’t mean to be a Karen but at least service us to keep it professional?
First time at a tea house like this! Went with my cousin and sister. It was such fun! Definitely want to find something like this near where I live since I’m not from NY. Loved the matcha and earl grey milk teas we got. The tea set that it came in is so cute! I really need to get some myself. I wasn’t in love with the Pâte à Choux but the other things we ordered: Green Tea Mille Crêpes Cake, Strawberry Shortcake Parfait, and Molten Lava Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream were really good! The Lava Cake mixed with the ice cream was so good! Def would like to come back to try the other items on the menu.
So glad a new Prince Tea opened in East Village. Outdoor dining only at this time. Staff are super nice and observe safety protocols. No physical menus, you scan a QR code to see it on your phone. Hand sanitizers at every table. Really nice spot for our post dinner dessert!
Friendly and gracious tea and pastry service in pretty china ... The fruit teas at least are tastefully fortified with additional flavourings to enhance their fragrance ... Of particular note is the impressive-looking high tea service for two, $55 ... Dining provided indoors and outside -- we opted for the safer outdoor arrangement and were decently accommodated ... Reservations only taken for party of 8+ ... They also offer private event rental, indoors and outdoors, for a reasonable fee and flat rate per person
I have already visited Prince Tea House Astoria location in 2018 and i loved my experince there. What i liked the most were the interiors and the desserts.I am excited for the opening of their 7th location on September 4th and wish the best of luck!Excited for the media/influencer preview event on Sunday August the 31st.(August 29th)

2022-04-04My family planned a beautiful surprise bridal shower in the private room and it was the best tea party experience we could ask for!! 💓 Katy was wonderful to work with and so accommodating with our big party of 20 people — from planning the event to the day of festivities (including food set up and decorations), we couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. The sandwiches and dessert were so delicious and I was so happy to see (toffee) milk tea on the menu! I can’t wait to return to try their outdoor seating when the weather is warmed. This is definitely such a cute place to have a memorable celebratory experience! Thank you Prince Tea! 🥰

2022-07-03This Prince Tea House is definitely a step up from the Flushing location (okay granted every other Prince Tea House is a step up from the Flushing location). Its very cute and fanciful and the prices are more than fair! I absolutely LOVED the scones. It was so extremely buttery and delicious with a crunchy shell but surprisingly soft interior. Went so well with the butter and jam 🤤 The rest of the platter, however, was just okay. Im almost 100% sure that the macaroon is from Costco too.

2022-03-02Fun spot for a casual-luxurious hangout or catch up with a friend. It’s English afternoon tea with an Asian twist. A very wide selection of interesting drinks and food. This is the better of the two Manhattan locations — a bit classier. I’ll be back!!Oh, the clotted cream is delicious.

2022-02-13Very organized and efficient staff. Food and tea here are decent, fair prices. But even having ordered a full meal, they only offered plastic utensils. With one toilet for the entire place, very frustrating on a busy Saturday, I waited in line for 15 minutes to use the bathroom. This spot is very much a hang out for college students, all dressed up for tea parties. Clientele was 90 percent female, between the ages of 18 and 22. Poor choice of music obviously catered to the clientele, yet seemed very out of place with the rest of the vibe. Lighting is very bright, feels like a school cafeteria. Overall, I found this place too cheesy to ever go back.

2022-03-23I had heard about the tea house from social media & have always wanted to try it, I was not disappointed! When we got in there was a little wait but the hostess was kind & pleasant which always makes waiting easier. I had macaroons and their ear grey my girlfriend was in the mood for chocolate and had hot chocolate, chocolate raspberry & pink prosecco. We both had a wonderful time. Our waiter was also very sweet & attentive which added to our experience. I would 100% recommend this place, especially for tea and dessert after a big lunch.

2022-05-16We went here post-dinner and it was a great place to hang out with friends over dessert. The purple yam soufflé was a unique and subtle flavor. The teas were so delicious! We got the Verbena Orange Mint tea and the Rose Lover milk tea, which I highly recommend. I thought the rose might be too overpowering but it was absolutely perfect.

2022-07-06Lovely place. Rose milk tea is one of my favorites. The afternoon tea setup was great for two. The ambience was relaxing. It is well kept and clean. I love this location like the Queens location. We were lucky to go in when it wasnt busy.

2022-01-15A very good place for high tea! Definitely recommend it. It has good ambience, ample seating and the high tea is worth its price. Its less expensive than other high tea places, they have vegetarian option for the sandwiches (I took the cucumber sandwiches instead of the meat ones) and scones were good, too.

2022-02-14This was such a bright spot on a rough day. I got an afternoon tea tray and the food was delightful. The scone was a plain scone served warm with apricot jam and clotted cream and was absolutely fantastic. All of the finger sandwiches were tasty and the wasabi deviled egg was a unique combination of flavors I enjoyed. The desserts were excellent and I particularly enjoyed the mini lava cake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and took good care of me.

2022-02-22Absolute gem of a place in the heart of East village. If youre looking for an ideal spot for a first (or even 100th) date, this location will not disappoint. There is a lovely selection of teas, appetizers, and desserts here that are all delicious. The afternoon tea set is one of the best Ive ever had — for the quality and aesthetic, the price is unbeatable.Prince Tea House is one of my favourite tea houses in the city, and this location is no exception.
